Amber Hayes is currently Director of Sales at a Toronto company called Voices, which is the #1 marketplace for voice-over. We had a great conversation about how you need to pivot and embrace change within your company so that it doesn't outgrow you.  She started at Voices as a Project Administrator, and listen to the episode to learn more about her move to sales, and now sales leadership. Amber is in her 11th year at Voices - unusually long tenure so we know good things are happening there! Amber says,  "We're in a really fast-paced industry and it's changing all the time. This company has had a refresh in our approach, I would say every year to every other year. It's never been stagnant. When I signed on. What was important to me is that the leadership wanted us to continue to be like a head competitor in the industry. And to do that, you need to pivot, you need to try new things, you need to change things up. And you do tend to cycle through leadership because the company can outgrow you if it's growing at a fast pace. And I think people miss that a lot, but I got firsthand exposure to it. So I was seeing some of our leaders that were great where we were at. They were doing an amazing job. But for the next steps we needed to go to, they weren't elevating as quickly as the company maybe needed them to. So you saw people kind of cycle through leadership at this company as the company outgrew certain, maybe certain people in certain roles, or maybe people wanted to step away from where the company was going." “When the world gives you no hope whatsoever in a situation you have 2 options: you can completely turn away from God. Or you can say, The world gives me no hope, so I'm going to hang on to the one thing that will.”  ~Amber HayesNavigating parenthood is often compared to embarking on an epic journey, filled with unexpected twists and turns. In our latest podcast episode, we delve into a family's extraordinary journey of love, resilience, and faith. Amber opens up about the challenges and triumphs of parenting, particularly in the face of a rare medical condition diagnosed in their son, Nolan. One of the pivotal moments in the episode is Amber's recounting of their journey to parenthood through IVF. The initial joy of becoming parents is soon overshadowed by the discovery of Nolan's condition, Ataxia Telangiectasiam, a rare and progressive neurological disorder. The uncertainty and anxiety that come with such a diagnosis are palpable, as the family navigates through a series of medical tests and consultations. Faith plays a central role in this family's story. Amber discusses how their belief in God's promises provided a source of strength and peace amidst the chaos. Nolan's progress, from walking and playing sports to participating in American Ninja Warrior gym classes, is celebrated as a testament to God's faithfulness. The episode underscores that faith is not just a passive hope but an active, sustaining force that helps them face each day with courage and optimism.Another profound theme explored in the episode is the concept of finding faith in uncertainty. Amber reflects on the difficulty of waiting for answers and the struggle of trusting in God's plan without knowing the future. This period of waiting has deepened their connection with Jesus and led to a greater reliance on God's word. They emphasize the importance of living in the moment and recognizing everyday miracles, no matter how small. This mindset shift, from seeking grand miracles to appreciating incremental progress, is a powerful lesson for anyone facing similar trials.Throughout the episode, Amber's story is a poignant reminder that while we may not have control over life's trials, we can choose how we respond to them. By focusing on faith, resilience, and the support of our community, we can navigate even the most daunting challenges with grace and strength. You can find “Ordinary People Extraordinary Things” anywhere you listen to podcasts or Check out the links below....⬇️➡️ https://www.buzzsprout.com/1882033➡️ https://generationstogenerations.com/podcast➡️ https://www.youtube.com/@GenNancyordinarypeoplestories@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/ordinarypeoplestory https://www.instagram.com/ordinarypeopleextraordinary/ X: @storiesextra Any advice should be confirmed with a qualified professional. All rights reserved: Ordinary People Extraordinary ThingsStories shared by guests may not always be shared views of OPET. New country artist Mark Bray finds the common ground with everyone and draws each fan in with the release of his debut single, For Love. This single follows the success of signing with Bar Frog Music for label representation. Previously signed artists to Bar Frog Music include Amber Hayes, Bailey James, Nick Hickman, Tony McKee, and duo Williams Honor. This single is officially released to country radio and is available for download on iTunes and all digital platforms. This upbeat song, which was composed by Rusty Tabor (Billy Ray Cyrus) and Cole Deggs (Kenny Chesney, Chris Janson, Gary Allan, Tracy Byrd, Andy Griggs), is the first release off Bray’s album, which will be released later this year. He is gearing up to visit radio stations in New York next week in support of the song. About Mark Bray: This South Florida native always had music instilled in his blood. They say it takes only one moment for someone to become hooked and know that making music is their dream, and for Mark, it was watching the 1994 television special featuring Garth Brooks. Motivated by his passion for music and his love of performing, he was influenced by many different styles of music – the pop hits of the day through his mother, 70’s singer/songwriters via his father and the rock-n-roll hits of the 80s and 90s that he first heard being sung by his siblings. With an eclectic range of musical influences ranging from Garth Brooks to Billy Joel, James Taylor and Jimmy Buffet, he describes his style of music as 90s country with a modern feel. “There’s nothing better when I’m on stage performing and seeing how the crowd is reacting. It’s a matter of me being happy with my performance, but I want that one person who has never seen me before come up and say ‘Man, you’re the guy.’ If one person does that, then I’ve done my job.” With Bray’s creative soul, compelling charm and driven work ethic that won’t let him slow down, it looks like he is on the right path to becoming a household name. For more information, visit Mark Bray at the following:Website: www.markbraycountry.comFacebook: @markbraycountryTwitter: @markbraycountryInstagram: @markbraycountry
