For most of my life, I've moved from place to place searching for the one that would finally feel right. But no matter where I lived, I found fault, felt restless, and idealised the past. In this episode, I explore chronic dissatisfaction as a coping mechanism, the shame that comes with it, and the nervous system patterns that make everything feel “off.” I share how I've been learning to make peace with where I am — not through forced gratitude, but through softening, presence, and co‑regulation. And how, when I stopped fighting my environment, it started meeting me in unexpected ways. The earlier episode I mentioned in this podcast - https://open.spotify.com/episode/62uwO66229fEqGzrsEgH02?si=Dd9OEHL2TkybgQkbMMT3YQ

What if the wilderness of Disney's Fort Wilderness wasn't just preserved...but reimagined? This week, we wander into the quiet paths of the Hundred Acre Wood with a brand-new proposal: a fully immersive Winnie the Pooh–inspired cabin expansion tucked inside Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Stephen serves as Project Manager, pitching a thoughtful, story-driven experience that blends nostalgia, nature, and experiential design...without sacrificing the soul of the forest. From character homesteads and interactive trails to nighttime firefly strolls and a picnic pavilion with Pooh and friends, this is Imagineering through emotion, not excess.Along the way, the Idiots dig into bigger questions: When does storytelling add value, and when does it cross the line? Can whimsical narrative coexist with real wilderness? And who are Disney experiences really for: kids, adults, or anyone looking to feel something again? It's a cozy, reflective episode about nostalgia, design intent, and why growing up doesn't have to mean growing out of wonder.Don't forget to check us out on Instagram!

Khivi Care is a six-bed residential care home in Livermore, California, built on compassion, dignity, and a deep sense of community. Sharan Kaur shares her personal journey from a diverse career spanning tech, healthcare, banking, and startups to finding purpose in senior care, a decision driven by her desire to create meaningful, people-centered work. Sharan discusses the emotional, physical, and practical challenges seniors and their families face when transitioning into care, including loss of independence, isolation, guilt, and financial stress. She explains how Khivi Care addresses these challenges through highly personalized care plans, consistent routines, and a home-like environment that prioritizes comfort, familiarity, and human connection over a “one-size-fits-all” approach. The conversation also explores the broader senior care landscape, comparing small residential homes, assisted living, memory care, and in-home care. Sharan highlights why smaller facilities can often better serve seniors with higher or changing care needs. Sharan emphasizes the importance of community, social interaction, and continuity of routines in improving seniors' quality of life, sharing real stories that bring these principles to life. Finally, Sharan offers advice for business owners: lead with purpose, take care of the people who support your business, stay deeply involved, especially in the early stages, and never lose sight of the human element. The episode closes with practical guidance for families to plan early, gather information ahead of time, and make informed decisions rather than emotional ones during moments of crisis.

After years of operating in high-intensity environments, your nervous system adapts to urgency, noise, and pressure. Over time, stillness doesn't feel peaceful—it feels wrong. Boredom feels unsafe. Silence feels unsettling. And without realizing it, you may start gravitating toward chaos just to feel normal again. This episode breaks down why that happens, how it impacts your relationships and health, and what it takes to retrain your body and mind to feel safe in calm again.

Today on the show, we're excited to welcome Katie Wieners, the owner of Monstera's Books in Downtown Overland Park! Katie lives in Overland Park with her husband, Justin, and their two daughters.  Before opening the bookstore, Katie spent nearly 15 years in software sales, building a successful career that many would consider the “safe path.” But after becoming a mom for the second time, she realized something important: the work that once energized her no longer felt aligned with the life she wanted to build. So she made a bold shift. In March 2024, Katie opened Monstera's Books, a beautiful blend of books and plants that quickly became a neighborhood favorite. Then in summer of 2025, a fire forced them closed. After extensive rebuilding the store and inventory, they reopened in time for the holidays. We're talking about what it looks like to pivot careers as a mom, follow a dream that feels a little scary, build something from the ground up, and create a space where other people can feel at home. Katie's story is such an inspiring reminder that motherhood doesn't close doors — it can actually open the right ones. Follow Monstera's on Facebook and Instagram. The smell of fresh bread can change a life. Our guests from Great Harvest NWA share how a spur-of-the-moment lunch on a road trip, followed by a snowy trek to Montana, led them to trade corporate titles for early mornings, warm ovens, and a bakery that already feels like a Bentonville staple. Their why comes through fast: fresh-milled Montana wheat, no preservatives, house-made dressings, and the freedom to create within a “freedom franchise” model that invites personal flair and genuine hospitality. We dig into the details food lovers care about: the Baja Chipotle turkey that regulars swear by, cinnamon rolls and cinnamon chip bread that sell out, salted vanilla honey butter you'll want on everything, and a scone that single-handedly rewrote what a scone can be. They talk through dietary realities with honesty—how they handle egg-free or dairy-free requests, why gluten-free bread isn't feasible in a flour-filled bakery—and share smart conveniences like a drive-thru, strong rewards, online ordering, and delivery via DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. Seasonal fans get a preview too: cranberry swirl bread, stuffing bread, and rolls ready for Thanksgiving tables, plus a sourdough starter winging in from Montana with a community naming twist. What really stands out is the community heartbeat. Regulars already have names and stories. Ambassadors show up unprompted, passing menus to fly fishing clubs and bringing new friends every week. The team is building something that feels local because it is—owners on-site, young staff learning real service, and a space designed for conversation as much as convenience. We also look forward: how to scale to Fayetteville and beyond without losing the vibe that makes this place special, and what it takes to keep quality high while getting faster.Hungry yet? Check the hours, scan the menu, and plan your first visit or delivery. If you enjoy this conversation, subscribe, share it with a friend who loves great bread, and leave a quick review—what should they name their sourdough starter?

This episode delves into the concept of spiritual parenting, focusing on the need to develop mature adults in faith rather than merely attracting new converts. With insights from Dr. Michael Brodeur's work, listeners will learn how to cultivate a culture characterized by intimacy, integrity, and intentionality within their church communities. Practical strategies such as establishing small groups and promoting intergenerational partnerships are discussed, aiming to create a supportive environment that nurtures genuine connections and leadership succession. Ultimately, the goal is to build a thriving church family that reflects God's love and purpose, enabling members to grow spiritually and contribute meaningfully to their community.Kingdom Encounter with Glenn Bleakney is a variety show consisting of teaching, discourses, and interviews on all things Kingdom. This is a season of reformation and revival. The Church must build on the foundations of the apostles and prophets preaching and teaching the Gospel of the Kingdom in the demonstration of the Spirit's power to all nations. Takeaways: The podcast emphasizes the importance of transforming churches into family-like communities for deeper connections. Fantasy and factory churches often prioritize appearance and structure over genuine relationships and impact. Spiritual parenting is essential for developing mature adults in faith rather than merely attracting converts. Creating small groups fosters intimacy and connection, contributing to a stronger church family atmosphere. Embracing values such as integrity, intentionality, and interdependence is crucial for healthy church dynamics. Service opportunities can empower individuals to contribute their unique gifts, enhancing community engagement. His journey from that moment — into Turkey, then to California, and then to Rhode Island — was something he never could have imagined. Neither was the love story that came out of it.
