Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHSkylightFrame.com/DECK - for $20 off your purchase!Princess Violet is a simple princess. She loves chocolate and hates work. All she really wants is some alone time with her mom, but it's a busy time of year. At least they'll always have the festive bake. Except they don't. Mom is too busy. Being Queen is hard. Her mom explains that if Violet is serious about being Queen one day, she has to start taking royalty seriously. She needs to start figuring out what her mission is going to be. Violet tells her mom she's going to start focusing and immediately shows up late to her next activity: the Royal Christmas tree selection, which is chosen by a goat. When the goat gets off the leash and picks the smallest tree, the town is so mad that her mom is left with no choice... send Princess Violet to a rich people boot camp.Cut to Colorado, where we meet Ryan and Squibby. They're in charge and have their hands full with this crew. We have a K-pop star, an NFL player, a crypto bro, and of course, a princess. It's pretty serious stuff. They run, they read, they bake— all the normal boot camp stuff. And Violet is having a tough time. She doesn't run, she doesn't know how to read, and she can't bake. But she does know how to be sneaky. Instead of doing the hard work of moving Christmas trees, she sneaks into the phone room and calls movers. But Captain Ryan is too smart and figures out that they didn't do the hard work. He's fed up and she's about to leave when she comes across a car on the side of the road. It's at this point that we find out she knows sign language and helps save the guy.Captain Ryan sees this and tells her he's impressed and believes she can finish this program. Princess Violet agrees to return, but only if he lets her decorate for Christmas.Ryan and Violet continue to bond, and she finds herself actually enjoying the hard work of the program and enjoying Captain Ryan's company. But she has a boyfriend who actually shows up to rescue her, but she tells him she doesn't want to be rescued. After telling Scotty to kick rocks, she realizes she's locked out of the building. So, she climbs up a drainpipe and sees Ryan shirtless. He's on a Zoom call with his mother, who's excited to see he has a girlfriend crawling around in the background. Private Ryan acknowledges that it would be against company policy. After he hangs up, they go and talk by the fire and share stories about people they've lost. They're having an absolute blast together, singing Christmas songs to the elderly. What could go wrong now?Well, when Captain Ryan discovers that not only does Violet have a secret phone but that she also accidentally broke his special bench, he kicks her out of the program one day before graduation.Violet's mom is very mad, and Violet says, “I don't think you're mad at me. I think it's clear we're both still grieving the loss of Daddy King.”The next day, Violet is walking in the town square and finds out that there's a woman whose kitchen isn't working. She convinces the rest of the cadets to make dinner for her. But where's Violet? She's fixing the bench with the random guy she saved in that car. Where did he come from? Where's he going? There's a chance he's Cotton Eyed Joe.They throw a party, and Violet shows up in full princess garb. Ryan says he's passing everyone, including Princess Violet. Violet and Ryan go to sit on the bench, and then she asks for permission to kiss. He says, “Permission granted."

Warning: This episode contains AI, bad celebrity impressions, greasy pillow cases, and other nonsense not suitable for all audiences! Pregnant women and people with heart conditions should proceed with caution! We kick off the show as we often do, by talking about Real World Horror in Central America. This time, an alien body was found in Bolivia! Where did it come from? Where did it go? Where did it come from, Cotton Eyed Joe? Then, in Horror Business, we take a look at the true story of the Amityville horrors, as well as an equally haunted bar in Mississippi that may or may not be a strip club and may or may not contain horny dancing ghosts. We also discuss the next film from David Cronenberg, a new version of The X-Files, and a VR game based on one of our film reviews. DID SOMEONE SAY FILM REVIEWS? We've got a classic battle of old vs new this episode, with a compare and contrast of Anthony DiBlasi's Last Shift, as well as the brand new remake (also done by DiBlasi), Malum. Which is better? Which is worse? Why? We won't answer any of these questions, but we will talk about our idea for a movie based on a haunted taco truck! Climb aboard The Grave Plot Podcast!

An in depth and irreverent look at 90's TV classic Dawson's Creek hosted by Kathryn and Katie. This week, we're doing a face to face so get ready for lots of ice clinking on glasses, wine being poured and Kathryn sniffling into a mic. Joey is back on her art tip and is doing a deeply ‘subversive' 90s mural at school which, let's face it, is a bit rubbish. We're chatting the Witter family set up (surely they have a massive house, right?), we accidentally write some very ropey sexy fan fiction and manage to confuse Dartmouth with Dartmoor (blame the wine). Also, there is a lot of singing this episode (sorry) including a version of Cotton Eyed Joe for Bodie - yes really. So, let's do some truly terrible art, get all philosophical about it and take all our frustration out on other people. And remember - it's about probability not possibility, people! If you're enjoying this podcast, please like, subscribe, follow, rate, review or whatever other variety of verbs your podcast platform might use.Email dawsonsweaklypod@gmail.com Instagram @dawsonsweaklypodTwitter @dawsonsweaklyFacebook @dawsonsweakly
