Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted listeners, This is Bob Yarbrough, Program Director and talk show host at NewsTalk 98.7, WOKI-FM in Knoxville, Tennessee. I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for support on behalf of our dear friend and radio producer, Eric Glasgow. Eric suffered a severe leg injury recently that has left him unable to work for an undetermined amount of time and facing mounting medical bills. In short, he faces a long road to recovery and the bills are piling up. His injuries required surgery and ongoing medical care, including physical therapy. As you may remember, due to an infection, Eric had his left leg amputated a little more than two years ago making this latest leg injury even more challenging. We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to help Eric as much as possible.Your generous contributions will make a significant difference for Eric and his wife, Penny. Whether it's a small or large donation, every bit helps. Your support will go directly towards covering Eric's medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and essential living expenses during this tough time. We appreciate all the kind messages you have already sent, thank you! Now, let's show Eric that he is not alone in this journey. Your kindness and generosity will help him focus on his recovery without the additional stress of financial worries. With heartfelt gratitude, Bob Yarbrough // Program Director // NewsTalk 98.7 WOKI-FMSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In 1987 Patty Limerick changed “the narrative” of the American West with her landmark book, “Legacy of Conquest,” which painted a different portrait of the frontier from the traditional romantic notions of cowboys riding the range. My brother Eric was so deeply moved by the book that I suggested he conduct this interview, structured around 5 questions that he supplements with quotes from the book. It's a great discussion that explores such ABT-related topics as revisionism, stereotypes, and the basic question of accuracy versus a good story. Brother Eric teaches about how the gospel of the Kingdom relates to the fear of the Lord. He leads us to wait and listen to the Lord’s voice as he reads from the beatitudes in Matthew 5.

What does it mean to own something? How much is our idea of ownership shaped by white supremacy? On this episode of the Black Yield Podcast Lee, Ashley, and Brother Eric explore their thoughts on ownership and the larger role that it plays in our freedom.
Brother Lee and Brother Eric kick off season 2 of the Black Yield Podcast by discussing the growth that they have experienced since wrapping season 1. Listen as our host share areas of growth as well as places where there is still work to be done.
Brother Eric wanted apologize for last week's movie by picking a better thriller, 2019's The Operative starring Diane Kruger, Martin Freeman, and Cas Anvar. Corrections: Yonatan “Yoni” Netanyahu, killed in the raid on Entebbe, was former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu's older brother, not his father. Housekeeping begins at 16:27 during which we discuss the Russia-Ukraine war (a week old as of time of release so who knows what's happened since and reference to the incident on Snake Island turned into something other than a slaughter). Brother J discusses the strangeness of the automobile market these days, driving on snowy roads, as well as the following audiobooks: Bright Lights, Prairie Dust; Capote's Women; Interview with the Vampire; Apparently There Were Complaints; Rememberings by Sinead O'Connor; Breaking the Chains of Gravity; and Fighting for Space. Eric discusses his daughter's new Samsung tablet for use with digital art. Then they both discuss dishwashers and dishwashing. Neat! Brother Eric wanted to talk about a Ukrainian political thriller so he picked Legacy of Lies, an unexpectedly bland film.
