Ken welcomes writer, speaker and personal coach, Jill Nagle. Jill listened to Ken's Podcast online and recognized their common commitment to anti-racism. Jill's career focus has been "helping white people think about anti-racism." She recognizes that in this polarized world, relationships in the context of race and ethnicity are not getting better - they are getting worse. Jill's passion is to challenge assumptions and heal divisions. A published author, her stated goal is to show how white people will benefit from dismantling white supremacy. She pursues a "trauma-informed" approach in her training program working from "the inside out." A strong feminist, Jill shares her journey into the field of anti-racism and her life-changing encounter with her partner and friend, activist Cleo Manago. She is open about her religious background, which as you'll see, is very different from Ken's. It's a fascinating conversation you need to hear. Nse Ofot, CEO of the New Georgia Project Action Fund, will help us examine what's happening in the state. In California, the president of the Los Angeles City Council resigns after a leaked audio recording revealed racist and disparaging remarks she made about the Black child of a white council member and the city's Indigenous immigrants. Topics:Unarmed fleeing teen shot and killed by police in Pittsburgh.Just hours after being sworn in on the local force, a suburban Pittsburgh officer fatally shot Antwon Rose II, an unarmed 17-year-old who ran when police stopped a vehicle he was a passenger in that was suspected to be involved in an earlier shooting. Fleeing from a scene does not give law enforcement the right to indiscriminately people. There is independent video of the shooting. There is no body or dash cam.It is reported that 2 weapons were found in the vehicle that Rose was a passenger in but the driver of the vehicle was released and to date not charged. So, if the driver was released, why was Rose shot? Also, it has yet to be determined if the officer who shot gave the appropriate command for him to halt.Fewer Births Than Deaths Among Whites in Majority of U.S. States.According to A Census data brief by the Applied Population Lab, in 2016, more non-Hispanic whites died than were born in twenty-six states; more than at any time in U.S. history. Some 179 million residents or roughly 56 percent of the U.S. population, lived in these 26 states In contrast, non-Hispanic white (hereafter referred to as white) deaths exceeded births in just four states in 2004 and seventeen as recently as 2014.When births fail to keep pace with deaths, a region is said to have a "natural decrease" in population, which can only be offset by migration gains. The growing incidence of this white natural decrease has important implications for the nation's demographic future and I suggest it's political future as well.Report of the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights on his mission to the United States of America.Reading from the report, Philip Alston The Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights visited the United States from 1 to 15 December 2017. The purpose of the visit was to report to the Council on the extent to which the Government's policies and programs relating to extreme poverty are consistent with its human rights obligations and to offer constructive recommendations to the Government and other stakeholders. "About 40 million live in poverty, 18.5 million in extreme poverty, and 5.3 million live in Third World conditions of absolute poverty." There are approximately 326M people in the US.Nikki Haley Responds to Senator Sanders about the UN ReportSenator Bernie Sanders sent US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, a letter asking to meet with her to discuss it, to which she replied that, it is “patently ridiculous” for the U.N. to even examine poverty in America; our government officials engage in poverty issues every day.” She went on to say that rather than using his voice to shine a light on vulnerable American populations, he wasted the UN's time and resources deflecting attention away from the worlds worst abusers of human rights, and, focused instead on the wealthiest and freest country in the world.
On tonight's episode of The Critical Hour with. Dr. Leon he raises the question, why are American's killing themselves? According to the CDC nearly 45,000 suicides- more than twice the number of homicides occurred in 2016 and the numbers continue to increase, when is it a crisis?Weekly Roundtable Wrap Up:Earl Ofari Hutchinson-author and commentatorDr. Cleo Manago-behavioral health and cultural anaylistDr. Shantella Sherman-author and professorTrump pardons Jack Johnson and commutes the sentence of Alice Johnson, has asked Congress to move ahead with legislation to help prisoners to prepare for life after release, but stopped short of calling for broader reforms such as changing the sentences for minimum drug crimes. They discuss what, if anything does this tell us about the administrations support for prison reform. They also take a deeper look into the primary elections. Does the results in the CA and other primaries tell us anything going forward for the 2018 mid-terms? Is there a progressive vs. established democrat debate, and what will the political climate be in the next two years? The panel later discusses the Tanzanian government and the reports of a tribe saying that luxury safari companies are burning down their homes and stealing their land. With the popularity of safari and big game hunting many organizations and governments have capitalized on the demand on the land of the indigenous people. As they are being driven away from their homes, the panel discusses the viscous cycle and what we can do.

Listen to socio-political analyst Cleo Manago discuss, Two officers shot in Ferguson... Don't Shoot Them Down, Shut Them Down! Two cops were shot in front of the Ferguson Police Department early Thursday. The shots were fired just as a small crowd of protesters began to break up after holding a demonstration in the wake of the resignation of the Ferguson police chief, who stepped down Wednesday. St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said one officer was shot in the face, just below his right eye, with the bullet lodging behind his ear. The other officer was hit in the shoulder, and the bullet came out his back. ------As the Department of Justice prepares to release its full report into the Ferguson Police Department and Municipal Court System, it is becoming increasingly clear that the entire Ferguson Police Department may be forced to shut down. Local authorities consistently approached law enforcement not as a means for protecting public safety, but as a way of generating revenue,” Holder said, adding that “racial bias both implicit and explicit” results in the unconstitutional execution of the law. The thing is, though, the last department that Darren Wilson worked for, before he was allowed to transfer to the Ferguson Police Department, was also disbanded over severe issues of racism and corruption.

Cleo Manago and Neely Fuller, Jr. return to The Context of White Supremacy. We're elated to have these two authors and Victims of Racism share their views on "homosexual behavior". We'll seek clarification on what qualifies a person as a "homosexual"/"same gender lover". Mr. Manago asserts that this behavior existed on the continent of Africa long before the arrival of White people. We look forward to a courteous exchange on how this behavior relates to the best interest of black and non-white people. #TheCOWS INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 605.313.5164 CODE: 564943#
