Halo Infinite esports teams have been announced and they are Cloud9, eUnited, Faze Clan, Fnatic, G2 Esports, NAVI, Sentinels, Spacestation Gaming, and Team Envy. In other gaming news, the PS5 model update could lead to worse heating issues and Netflix Gaming is not a streaming service, but something very different. The Halo Championship Series had the team partners revealed and it's nine power house organizations. Microsoft and 343 Industries will receive none of the funding, just the community. The revised Playstation 5 model or the new PS5 is apparently running hotter according to some tech channels. But, is the heat exhaust just being misdiagnosed? Netflix Gaming enters a soft launch phase, but not with a streaming service, actual Netflix games for you to play. Rainbow 6 Siege's UK scene has produced many big names over the years yet Matthew "meepeY" Sharples stands out as one of the biggest. Although his entry into competitive gaming was somewhat reluctant, meepeY found early success in the EU community, climbing the ranks and competing on some of Europe's top teams. No stranger to setback and heartbreak, meepeY and his teams have always found a way to bounce back, conquering their next set of challenges with a ferociousness that few other teams could match. Despite having strong performances on LAN, meepeY's luck would run out on the eve of the EU League with Team Secret failing to qualify. Thankfully for meepeY his knowledge of the game and his strong leadership skills allowed him to make a graceful transition to coach. He now sits behind the bench guiding North America's eUnited squad. Always a pleasure to chat with given his insight into our scene, meepeY is undoubtedly one of our finest guests.

One of the most beloved Call of Duty organizations in the game is not going to be competing in the new franchised league next season. Founded by former Call of Duty champion Nadeshot, 100 Thieves is a fan favorite. Many of the organizations with the biggest built in followings will miss next season including OpTic Gaming (bought by Immortals), eUnited, FaZe Clan and now 100 Thieves. How this will affect fandom in the new league still remains to be seen, but some animosity is fair to expect given the radical change of the league format and who is running the teams. Hello, friends and welcome to Tuesday August 20th. Today we cover eUnited winning the Call of Duty World League Championship, and Russia’s surprise win at the PUBG Nations Cup. Let’s do this. What is up my friends and welcome back to the UEG podcast. I am your host, the Choice, your voice for esports! Over the weekend we had the butt clenching matches between the world’s top call of duty players and on Sunday it all came to a head between 100Thieves and eUnited fighting for the title of World Champion. The matches were quite a display of skill, and after a long back and forth bout, eUnited pull the win and the title for the second time in a row. Last month eUnited managed to win the CWL Pro League Finals in Miami making them back to back Champions… Someone call DrDisrespect on the flip phone… Anyways, the team took home a cool $800k and the title, beating 100thieves with a 3-2. [eUnited win Call of Duty World League Championship](https://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/27416393/eunited-win-call-duty-world-league-championship) Russia comes in hot with the win in this year’s PUBG Nations Cup. Apparently South Korea was the favorite to win the Cup. ESPN writes; “They were the favorite going in, had a constant lead throughout the first three two days of competition, and they had an incredible homefield advantage. But in the last three matches of the tournament, South Korea played it safe, opting to avoid conflict rather than take other teams head-on.” The only problem is… the event itself had some blatant failures. Teams were disconnecting from their matches in the middle of the tournament, and there were some cries of unfair advantages for teams. Aside from that, Russia really played their hearts out and it shows. Next up for PUBG is the Global Championships taking place in Los Angeles and finishing up in Oakland in November. Exciting times for PUBG, honestly. Their viewership numbers have really increased and I’m interested to see what kind of interaction there will be in the community. [Russia defies odds at PUBG Nations Cup](https://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/27421582/russia-defies-odds-pubg-nations-cup) Well, that’s it for us. Thank you so much for tuning into the UEG podcast! If you’re craving more, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter @UEGpod. Also, smash that subscribe button and be updated on what’s happening in the esports world and leave a rating! It really helps us out. Once again, happy you’re here, happy Tuesday, and I’ll see. You tomorrow. Choice Out.
