Are you tired of feeling like you have to wear a mask and be someone you're not just to fit in and be accepted? It's time to shed that facade, balance work and life, and embrace your authentic self, and in doing so, find true success as an inside job.“How do I get ahead in this world and all that it offers? And yet, how do I have the tiem for the other things that are important in my life as well? That's the importance of balance and that's why it's so critical that we try and get to that place of balance.” - Branch IsoleBalancing Work, Life, and IdentityIn our life quests to get ahead in life and find satisfaction and fulfillment, we tend to find ourselves stretched thin, our relationships strained to the point of breaking, and feeling burned out overall. It's what we have been taught our entire lives through media, school, and friends and family, but it comes with responsibilities that can lead to a 24/7 lifestyle where people are always on call for work. However, people are also spiritual beings, which some may put on the back burner until they need relief from problems or troubles. Branch Isole talks about the importance of balancing time between important things in life, such as relationships with family and children, work, and mental health. Why I don't drive a lamborghini (Fake Success vs Real Success)
We are all part of the social media experiment. We live in this world that is so overexposed, social media has created an entirely new dynamic to the way that we interact and communicate with each other. Entrepreneurs now feel multiple types of pressure. There's the pressure to succeed but there's also the pressure to appear successful on social media. We now feel that we need to be putting out this image that we're always happy and things are always great, at the same time as building our businesses. Here's my argument, too many entrepreneurs are spending a ton of their time, effort and cash to LOOK successful, and if they re-routed that into actual activities that create success, they would get there. The energy it takes to look successful could actually be used to build real success. Creating fake momentum and fake status will only cause you pressure and noise that will slow you down. What is Fake Success and How to Avoid It Today I bring you, Dr. Isaiah Hankel. Long-time listeners will remember Isaiah from Episode #14. For those who need an introduction or a reintroduction, Isaiah is an internationally recognized speaker and author who helps individuals, teams, and organizations develop a more entrepreneurial mindset to accelerate their personal and business success. Isaiah’s unique background allows him to offer a scientific approach and tangible methodology to the pursuit of purpose, focus and other entrepreneurial values. Isaiah has worked extensively as a Fortune 500 consultant and with some of the world’s leading corporations. Long before getting his doctorate, Isaiah was a sheep farmer in rural Idaho who struggled in school and was diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. He survived college and barely made it into graduate school where he was quickly put on academic probation and forced to work as a janitor and sleep in a friend’s basement to make ends meet. Just a few years later, Isaiah formed three successful, multinational businesses and published his first book, Black Hole Focus. He’s back today to talk about his latest book, The Science of Intelligent Achievement: How Smart People Focus, Create and Grow Their Way to Success If you don’t have time to listen to the entire episode or if you hear something that you like but don’t have time to write it down, be sure to grab your free copy of the Action Plan from this episode-- as well as get access to action plans from EVERY episode-- at JimHarshawJr.com/Action/. Let's connect: Website | Facebook | Twitter About Your Host Jim Harshaw My name is Jim Harshaw. And I know where you’re at. You’re working hard and qualified for what you do but you aren’t getting what you want. You have plans on getting to the C-suite or launching a business but ultimate success seems as far away today as ever. You’re at the right place because you can get there from here. And I can help. Who I Am I’m a speaker, coach, and former Division I All-American wrestler that helps motivated former athletes to reach their full potential by getting clarity on what they really want and taking aggressive action to lead their ideal life not just despite their prior failures but because of them. I’m a husband and father of four. And I’m a serial entrepreneur. I’ve launched multiple successful businesses as well as the obligatory failed one. I’ve been the executive director of a non-profit and have raised millions of dollars. I’ve worked in sales. I’ve even been a Division I head coach. While I was born in a blue-collar home I have spent my life surrounded by Olympians, CEO’s and millionaires. Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” I’ve been lucky. I’ve learned the habits of successful people and guess what. You’re just like them. I know because I know your type. You’re programmed for hard work, which is a prerequisite for success, but you’ve never been shown how to use what you know to create the life you want with the tools you have. I will show you how. Why You Are Here You've worked hard to achieve greatness. You’ve set goals and maybe even set records. You’ve definitely failed and you’ve at some point found yourself questioning if you were on the right track. You need to understand this: You are far more prepared to succeed than those who’ve not tried, competed, struggled and overcome like you have. That’s the value of your education as someone who aims high. You are prepared to be as successful as your wildest dreams will allow. Here I will teach you, with the help of brilliant minds that have been shaped by failure, struggle, and adversity, to be who you want to be. I sense that you want this because you have read this far. How a wake-up call makes you quickly re-define your life and what actually matters in your life. Defining real success for yourself The distinction between fake and intelligent achievement and how clarity is key. Fake Success is built on a shaky foundation. If you life gets rocked a little bit it falls away. In Real Success you are doing things for the right reasons which puts you more in touch with who you really are. Keeping up with someone else's goals is an example following after fake success. We can be influenced by the goals of others that we surround ourselves with. It is important to align your goals with who you really are and your true identity. Mental Energy is your most valuable asset, not time, money, or relationships. The Science of dealing with negative and manipulative people. How to understand and identify manipulators in our life. Strategies to keep yourself from distractions and unwanted drama. The Science behind why engaging with negative energy takes your performance levels. Why and how we can set better boundaries Why you should say always say no first. Why 50 % of your relationships may be fake. How to identify the people that are holding us back in our life and surround ourselves with those who support us. Why its important to set aside time by yourself during your peak mental energy hours. How to fight for, protect, and surround yourself with good mental energy. How and Why you may need to take a relationship fast. When confused about the people you surround yourself with, step away for a bit so you can see your relationships more clearly. Communication and taking responsibility is key in developing good relationships. Sometimes you just need to take a brief time-out when it comes to relationships. Why its so important to seperate yourself from those who drain your mental energy. The positive people generally don't come into your life until the negative ones are gone. Why you should eliminate the people who undermine, constantly cut you down, and ultimately drain your energy. How to take a two-step gut check. How to create a power network. How being with people that give you energy actually help you to create more and be more productive in your life Good competitive energy actually may sharpen you to do better and be better. Why you don't always want to be the smartest person in the room. Why your life is your fault. How to lose the victim mentality. You don't control what happens to you, but you can control how you respond to it.
Pro 28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. Proverbs 28:22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. Most large companies express a FALSE sense of care, deceptions and lies to get money from millions of their clients or customers. The Most High have already begun judging them and their companies and yes, even their families for these deeds. The most horrible thing is many believers actually find haven in these companies, not realizing some of them won't be innocent either. Many managers, supervisors and lead personnel really think they will be spared this judgment. They also think being a good worker or a professional mean carrying out any assignment given by their superiors, even if it means short changing it's employees & their families. Let's talk tonight !!
