Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Born and raised in Frankfurt, cultural activist Alex Azary is one of the bedrocks of the cities music and club scene. Being a long time friend and companion of Sven Väth since beginning of the 80s, he witnessed and experienced the awakening of the international electronic movement during the 90s. Together with Sven he toured the world, playing all major festivals and cult clubs across the globe. Besides being known as DJ and Producer, the list of groundbreaking nationally and internationally acclaimed projects, clubs, events and companies he is responsible for seems to be endless and includes Frankfurt cult clubs XS, Royal, Dorian Gray, Technoclub, Euphoria, Holy X Mas Rave, Frontpage Magazine, AMV Distribution, ICM Music Publishing, A.I.M., G.E.M., Elektrolux, Elux Records, Mikrolux, Phono Elements, psi49net, PV Records, Hey Babe!, Space Night, Flowmotion …. and many many others… his contributions to club culture and the development of electronic music can’t be underestimated. He really is one of the true innovators and pioneers of the movement. His latest project is perfectly summing up his experiences in those domains: with MOMEM – Museum Of Modern Electronic Music, which will open later this year in Frankfurt, he is founding the world’s first museum for electronic music and club culture. Still, one of his driving impulses remains his passion and interest for new and innovative music and sound. This is why he never really gave up on following and playing the music he loves and which made him do what he did. Instagram Training Anna Yaramboykova discusses Instagram Training on The Next 100 Days Podcast. Anna runs the Training Academy. She helps businesses with sales training, media training and learning and development for large corporates and HR departments. Her accent gives her away. She is from Bulgaria, but to me sounds quite cockney! Instagram Training - as seen by one of our favourite former guests Nina Szewczak (chef/chak) Listen to Nina's show here: How Anna Got to Know Instagram Anna didn't know much about Instagram 3 years ago. When she does get interested in something, Anna dives right in. She saw it all as posting photos and videos. Curious, Anna started to dig into the business use. Since she started to learn and use it, she never went back. Anna learnt Instagram deeply. What were people finding positive for business. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Anna-Insta.mp4 Anna says she finds Instagram on a far higher level to Facebook. 3 Techniques You Should Be Aware Of Be Clear. Especially with your messaging. A lot of people use it well. They might have a private Instagram and suddenly they switch it to a business purpose. It doesn't work. They'll lose following, traction and engagement. The main reason is they are not very clear in their messaging. So, if you are going to start an Instagram as a business, then start it as a business account from the very beginning.Don't forget where you are based. The algorithm works will first target the people around you prior to going global. Dont filter your image. People don't want to look at perfect, but authentic. Be real and be yourself. Make sure your message is aligned with your business. Use your real location. Make sure you are marketing to the area where your market exists. Instagram changes its algorithm every 3 months. Anna is not an Instagram expert, but she gets social media. Recent advice is that Instagram wishes to encourage NON PERFECT engagement. Less of the perfect images, but real people. Is Instagram all about VISUAL businesses? Kevin argued that Instagram serves visually enabled audiences. Kevin's business is management consultancy. Business change. Finance topics. Graham does lead generation. Not altogether visual. Not like cup-cakes, or graphic design? Anna advises you show testimonials from clients. You can post a logo with free tips. With Instagram you have to be posting every day. And at certain times. Be consistent with your messaging. Flowmotion - Robbed Graham of £250. http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Flowmotion.mp4 Anna pointed to Simon Sinek as an example of someone who runs an effective business Instagram account. Otherwise, she speaks well of Virgin Media. Great engagement and great following. Corporate trainers are often very consistent with their audiences. Consistent quality of messaging. Soft Skills Anna trains people in soft skills. Clients will roc up and ask for sales training. Anna finds herself sometimes saying you don't need that type of training. Instead, you need soft skills training. Employee training. Get to know your people and culture. Soft skills helps establish your culture. To feel secure in the place they work. Later you can transition into sales training. Do You Need HR? http://thenext100days.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/HR-Vid.mp4 Most people who stay at a company is because the management they have. They leave when they don't feel valued. Anna gave an impassioned defence of HR practice, certainly in recent years. The old HR model from 20-30 years ago is fading away. People in HR are more prone to interact and support people in situ. What do you think? Where you have great managers, Kevin says, you'll have a great HR department supporting them. The HR Times They Are A Changing! Anna spoke about a guy she knew who worked for 2 companies, one of them being Bumped.in.
Support this Podcast in 3 Clicks! In This Episode: Void is still missing! Austin joins Beej again to talk about a series that means a lot to both of them: Kingdom Hearts. KH3 has finally released. After thirteen years of waiting, and nearly 18 since the series' debut, we have our grubby little hands on the final installment of the mainline Kingdom Hearts games. The real question, though, isn't necessarily whether it's good or not. That's almost beyond the point. The real question we have to ask ourselves as fans of the series is... Was KH3 Worth the Wait? Even that, however, is a hard question to answer because it hasn't been 13 years since the release of any Kingdom Hearts game. Only the numbered, mainline ones. We've had a slew of releases like Birth by Sleep (which might as well have been renamed Kingdom Hearts Zero), Dream Drop Distance, re:Coded, Chain of Memories, and so on. We haven't necessarily missed them, but there hasn't been a primary console release since KH2. The others were all handhelds, except for remasters/re-releases. In general, we think that yes it was worth it. But the better answer is kinda because it can't be talked about without a few caveats. What You Should Know Before Playing Kingdom Hearts 3 Before diving in, let us give you a few points that we've noticed people talk about so that you're not surprised. 1. Cutscenes First, the cutscenes are long. Like...Xenoblade Chronicles 2 long. So make sure that you're ready for that. Second...the cutscenes don't make as much sense as you think they should. If you've played all the games, you'll be frustrated because you know this stuff. And if you've just played KH1 and KH2, then you're going to be frustrated because even the clarification of what happened in the other games is nonsense. That said, it's easy to bounce off Kingdom Hearts 3 early. Please don't. If you try it and aren't sold, get to the end of the Toy Story world (the first of the real worlds) before deciding to bounce. The game opens up a lot at that point. (Kind of like Persona 5 opening up after the first Palace.) 2. Combat is Chaos...At First When you start out, the combat feels like fast actiony, Kingdom Hearts combat. It's frenetic and wild. It's also (mostly) controlled chaos. That's because they have included nearly every combat mechanic from all the other Kingdom Hearts games into this one. All at once. (No cards from Chain of Memories, though, thankfully.) You get Attractions, Shotlock, Flowmotion, Summons, Grand Magic, Weapon Transformations, Team Attacks, and...probably something we're forgetting, too. At first, it's easy to get overwhelmed. But as you play, you both grow used to it and see the logic behind it all. Plus, you learn which pieces and mechanics work best for you, so you can ignore the ones that don't. Just be aware, it's not all button mashing with a few reaction commands. We promise. 3. The Boys Are Back You get to keep Goofy and Donald in your party at all times now. No more swapping in and out. The Disney characters just add on and follow you around and fight. It's awesome. 4. The Pirates World is Garbage The Pirates of the Caribbean world is garbage. It’s a garbage world with a garbage story with garbage gameplay mechanics and garbage characters. It is, however, very pretty. Very, very pretty. The graphics are incredibly well-done. Other than that...garbage. You have been warned. So power through it, get to the end, and then you can go back and explore later. We promise that it's a lot more enjoyable as an open world rather than a narrative experience. 5. The Minigames and Sidequests are Awesome Austin and Beej diverge on why they like the game. Beej enjoys the combat and the story, while Austin prefers the minigames and sidequests. They intersect at the Lucky Emblems collection, which is basically the same thing as Hidden Mickeys at the Disney themeparks. You take pictures of things that look like Mickey's sillhouette, and you get rewards for it (including a secret ending if you have enough!). That's not all, though. There is a cooking minigame, retro-style LCD arcade games you collect and play, treasure chests to find, Moogle photo assignments, synthesis material collections, the Flantastic Seven series of dessert-themed trials, Frozen sledding, Giant Robot mech battles, Big Hero 6 AR courses, pirate ship battles, and so much more across nearly every single world. Oh, and Battlegates. Battlegates are cool. There is a lot to do in this game. So if you're a completionist, you will have a field day. Beej hit the credits a few minutes under 40 hours, but he's nowhere near finished. Austin is at nearly the same amount of hours played, but isn't even approaching the end of the story. And after recording, we found out there was a superboss in KH3. Noice. So...Don't Bail on Kingdom Hearts 3 This is a very good game with a lot to offer, even if the beginning of the game has some strange choices in the beginning few hours. If you can get through those, you're golden. Just like those Hercules statues you can collect in Olympus. What are your favorite KH games or worlds? Let us know at @geektogeekcast.
