While I try to give the best I possibly can muster and provide, it is always limited by my own personal shortcomings. To the contrary, our Father God has no such limitation. When He gives gifts and blessings, it is based upon His might, power, and unlimited eternal glory. We are a part of an eternal family, based upon the eternal power of our Father God. So His gifts and blessings are as He is- eternal, without end.Let us take a brief moment to see when this will happen, and then we will take a deeper look at how this will happen. What comes to mind when we think about the word eternal? Why not have a listen as Mark Curtis shares today's sermon.

1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. It's impossible to live to love without having the Son of God manifesting His life. Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). In this verse, John stated clearly the testimony of God concerning His Son. The person who has the Son dwelling in Him has eternal life, who is the witness to the world that Jesus lives and is seated at the Father's right hand. Jesus is the life. What an incredible miracle it is for someone who once was dead in trespasses and sins, living according to the lusts of the flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind and was by nature a child of wrath to be transformed by eternal life. While praying to His Father, Jesus described eternal life which He was authorized to give to everyone who the Father gave to Him. He said, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent (John 17:3). If we connect some of the thoughts presented in the last two chapters of this letter, we can see clearly how this is an encouragement to live to love. If someone has the Son, then they have the life of God in them. Having the eternal life of God in them through the Son, they know both the Father and the Son, who is love. In knowing the Father and Son, they know and experience God's love in which they abide. Therefore the love of God flows from the Father, through the Son, through the believer, to others. They love because they have been loved by God. Love, having finished its course through the believer becomes the testimony of God concerning His Son. He is revealed as the risen, Son of God, Lord of Life, King of Righteousness, and Giver of eternal life.

Romans 6:23-7:1 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Or do you not know, brethren (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives? Here's another thing Paul made sure his readers knew. If you have not died with Christ, then you are still alive to the Law, and therefore receiving your wages from sin. However, if you were crucified with Christ, then you have died and the Law no longer has a right to speak over your life. As a result, having been raised to life with Christ, you have eternal life. Notice Paul had just said the free gift of God is eternal life. Here's the encouragement for the day. If you have been justified through the death and resurrection of Christ, which you have if you believe in Him and trust in Him for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of righteousness, then the Law no longer speaks its curse of death upon you. Instead, God speaks the life of Jesus Christ over you and you are covered in His righteousness and filled with His life. That means that today you have the privilege of living with Jesus! Jesus is God. God is love. Just as Jesus was in this world in His body, so are you in this world. Live to love with Jesus. Luke 12:13-31In the ‘Parable of the Rich Fool,' Jesus reframes the value of wealth and riches. Far more valuable than worldly wealth is being rich toward God. Relating well to money isn't about the amount of money a person has, but about how content a person is with what he has. Jesus wants his people to be content because he is a trustworthy provider.

This week, Pastor Warren Williams kicks us off in our new sermon series titled Rich Toward God, a study of Jesus' teaching about money from Luke 12:13-48.Jesus is asked to intervene in a financial dispute between brothers. In the conversation that follows, Jesus provides some crucial teaching about how his people should relate to money.
