This is my Longplayer so far.. In 2009, my wanderlust led me to the Cape of Good Hope, a land full of contrasts, but also impressive flora and fauna. Those few weeks at the outer tip of Africa left far more of a mark than I realized. When it came to finding a theme for my first album, I didn't have to think long. The album's 12 tracks are closely linked to people, experiences, and places at the Cape of Good Hope. The whales of "Walker Bay" are immortalized with their song in track 10. The voice in track 11 was a daily companion, and Africa Day represents the joy of life and the hope of the people of South Africa. I'll leave the design of all the other images to you :) Hartmut Kiss

Hunter speaks with Liz Stokes and Jonathan Pearce of The Beths in their home studio about their introspective new album Straight Line was a Lie, which dropped 29 Aug on Antirecords. Recorded and written in Los Angeles and at home in Aotearoa, the album blends the band's signature honest and upfront songwriting with an analysis on the cyclical nature of mental health. Playlist: Kid Frost - La Raza Fleedwood Mac - Landslide Tylor the Creator - See you again Prince - I wanna be your Lover Jimi Hendrix - Up from the Skies Laurie Anderson & Jean Michel Jarre - Rely on me# Aaliyah - One in a Million Patti Jo - Make me believe in you Carpenters - Close to you Michael Jackson - We're almost there Diese Podcast-Episode steht unter der Creative Commons Lizenz CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.
