Learn how to use text messaging to get more leads, book more calls, and grow your business faster. In this episode of Beyond 7 Figures podcast, Charles Gaudet talks with Chris Brisson about how SMS has become the most effective way to reach people, explaining how it works, why it outperforms email and phone calls, and how simple changes like adding a text to your funnel can lead to big results, with real examples of businesses using text and AI to grow, save time, and connect more effectively with their audience. Guest: Chris Brisson Guest bio: CEO and Co-Founder of Salesmsg KEY TAKEAWAYS: Text messaging has a 98% open rate compared to email's much lower open rate of 12-20%. Businesses need to get approved by carriers to use text messaging, which involves a simple compliance process that takes about 6.5 minutes. Nearly half (45%) of people prefer texting businesses rather than calling them. Text messaging helps engage leads quickly while they're interested, qualify them, and ensure they show up for appointments. Text messaging can be used throughout the customer lifecycle - from generating leads to getting reviews and referrals. Adding text messaging to existing business processes without changing anything else can increase results by 5-15%. Growing your business is hard, but it doesn't have to be. In this podcast, we will be discussing top level strategies for both growing and expanding your business beyond seven figures. The show will feature a mix of pure content and expert interviews to present key concepts and fundamental topics in a variety of different formats. We believe that this format will enable our listeners to learn the most from the show, implement more in their businesses, and get real value out of the podcast. Enjoy the show. This week on Ring of Fire! The White House is in full panic mode after a reporter for The Atlantic was included on a private group chat that laid out war plans for last week's attack in Yemen. The controversial move, and the possibly illegal decision to use a private messaging app for confidential information, has left many calling for mass firings or resignations on top of investigations, which has sent the Trump administration into a tailspin as the attempt to defend the indefensible. Vice President JD Vance could have some big problems ahead of him after it was revealed that he tried to block Donald Trump's attack in Yemen last week. This information was apparently not known by Trump, as he wasn't included on the text message chain that was accidentally sent to a reporter. But now the truth is out that Vance tried to undermine his boss, which was actually a GOOD thing. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that her department was going to begin the process of eliminating FEMA, as Donald Trump has suggested multiple times. It is impossible to believe that they don't know how devastating this is going to be for Red States, as the top three recipients of FEMA aide are all deep red, Republican-controlled areas. But the administration is moving forward anyway, and as usual, their own voters will suffer the most. All that, and so much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

In this episode of The Sales Gravy Podcast, discover how Alex Niswander used the Fanatical Prospecting framework to maximize outreach and build meaningful client relationships. Learn about creative touchpoints, High-Intensity Prospecting call blocking (HIPs), and actionable tips to fill, move, and close your sales pipeline effectively. Key Takeaways: – Multiple Touchpoints for Better Engagement: Combining weekly calls, text messages, and video messages in a month-long sequence creates many cell phone interactions, helping to maintain visibility with prospects. – Text Messaging as a Follow-Up Tool: Texting becomes effective later in the process, especially after leaving voicemails or sending emails, as it creates a softer approach to earning a prospect's time rather than jumping in and selling immediately. – Personalized Video Messages: Video messages create an opportunity to add a human touch to prospecting by showing prospects there's a real person behind the outreach. – Call Blocking to Maximize Productivity: High-Intensity Prospecting (HIP) sessions involve short, focused sprints of 15-30 minutes dedicated to making as many calls as possible, ensuring consistent and impactful outreach. – The 90-Day Prospecting Payoff: Prospecting efforts often show results after 90 days, emphasizing the importance of daily consistency to maintain a steady pipeline of opportunities. – Building Respect Through Personalization: Small gestures, like sending photos or handwritten notes, help prospects feel valued, making them more likely to engage and build trust with the salesperson. – Balancing Sales Activities: Effective prospecting balances three essential activities—filling, moving, and closing the pipeline—to ensure steady progress and avoid periods of downtime or overwork by planning your time effectively. – Fundamentals Still Deliver Results: Basic strategies, like leaving business cards or sending physical mail, remain effective over time. – Creativity in Prospecting: Unique and memorable approaches, such as sending coffee with a note, can differentiate outreach efforts and leave lasting impressions. The Power of Multiple Touchpoints When it comes to prospecting, repetition and persistence are the name of the game. A well-structured outreach plan includes multiple touchpoints, particularly through cell phone communication. Over a month, combining calls, text messages, and video messages can result in many meaningful interactions. Each touchpoint serves to maintain visibility with prospects and gently guide them toward engagement. Using Text Messaging Effectively Texting has become a more accepted form of communication, especially post-COVID. While it may not be appropriate for the first interaction, texting later in the process can be effective. The goal of these messages is to earn a prospect's time rather than immediately sell a product or service. For example, following up on a voicemail with a polite and informative text can soften the approach and make the interaction feel less intrusive. Video Messaging for a Human Touch Video messaging is another way to connect with prospects. Including a short, personalized video message in a text or email can make outreach more human and relatable. It doesn't require additional content, recording and sending a video version of a voicemail can have a significant impact. Video messages show prospects that there is a real person behind the communication, which can increase the likelihood of securing a meeting. Expanding Communication Channels Relying on emails or LinkedIn messages limits opportunities to engage with prospects. A diverse approach, including calls, texts, and even creative methods like mailing physical items, increases touch points and keeps the process dynamic. For instance, sending a photo of yourself outside your prospect's local franchise location or mailing a small, personalized gift demonstrates effort and creativity.
Provide your feedback here. Send me a Text Message. In this episode, Mike discusses the Supreme Court of Canada decision R. v. Campbell, 2024 SCC 42 where police arrested a known drug dealer and lawfully seized his cellphone. After the arrest, four text messages lit up the locked cellphone screen and appeared to offer a sale of drugs, possibly laced with fentanyl. Without a warrant, the police engaged in a conversation with the sender of the texts by impersonating the drug dealer and — in the process — orchestrated a meet to purchase drugs. When the accused came to the drug dealer's apartment, he was arrested and found in possession of heroin laced with fentanyl. Was the conduct of the police by engaging in the text conversation a search for Charter purposes? If it was a search, could the police lawfully do what they did? Was the situation facing the police urgent enough to trigger exigent circumstances? Was a Part VI authorization under the Criminal Code required? Did the search incident to arrest doctrine apply? Ontario Court of Appeal ruling Thanks for listening! Feedback welcome at legalissuesinpolicing@gmail.com
