Marc Bourreau revient sur ce personnage de Maigret, décrit par son créateur comme un homme ordinaire mais doté d'une grande intelligence qui a été incarné par de nombreux acteurs emblématiques comme Jean Gabin, Gérard Depardieu ou encore Bruno Cremer. Contemporaneamente collabora con altre riviste e all'età di diciotto anni pubblica il suo primo romanzo. Scrive moltissimo fino al 1980, anno della scomparsa della figlia.
