Can the deep pain and division of racism ever be healed? And does the Christian faith play any role in the work of racial reconciliation? Pastor Derwin Gray believes that if we rightly understand the message of grace through Jesus, we will see the image of God across all races and cultures, and embrace and promote a culture of love instead of a culture of hate. In this special episode Pastor Derwin Gray of Transformation Church has a discussion with Shay and Lynn about the history of racism in America, its lasting impact, and the current need for ongoing reconciliation. Derwin's book, How to Heal Our Racial Divide, proposes that “racial reconciliation is God's idea”, and that the church should be a place that “isn't colorblind, but color-blessed.” This conversation covers topics like: The significance of Martin Luther King Jr. and his powerful writings The challenge of overcoming indifference and opposition to reconciliation How racial trauma manifests in different generations Teaching people to be "unoffendable in the gospel" Encouragement for Christians to extend grace in difficult conversations. Although the church should be a natural place for racial healing to occur, the reality is that barriers such as pride, fear, power and economics often prevent the church from taking the risk to love others when the cost seems too high. We appreciate Pastor Gray's passion and insights on this important topic, as he calls us to see the beauty of diversity as part of God's design and highlights the role we can play in helping people heal from racial trauma through empathy, compassion and understanding. Rev. Terence Gray closes the "Good Plans" series with a message on seeking and doing God's will. Reflecting on Matthew 7 and the inspiring life of George Müller, Pastor Gray emphasizes that doing God's will involves progressive steps of faith and occasional leaps, rooted in trust and dependence on Him. He challenges us to examine our motives, place our full weight on God, and live lives marked by obedience and faith. With practical insights and encouragement, this sermon reminds us that God's plans are good, and He is faithful to sustain us every step of the way.
Join Rev. Terence Gray as he explores the profound lessons from the classic Christmas movie, "It's a Wonderful Life." In this sermon in the Christmas at the Movies series, Pastor Terence delves into the life of George Bailey, the main character, and uncovers the themes of expectations, disappointment, and the true meaning of a wonderful life. Drawing parallels with the Christmas story in the book of Isaiah, Pastor Gray challenges us to reevaluate our own expectations during the holiday season. Touching on topics such as stress, family pressures, and societal expectations, he emphasizes the importance of genuine connections and the impact of relational bonds during the Christmas season and throughout the year. Pastor Terence concludes with a powerful reminder of the transformative joy that can be found when one's perspective shifts from disappointment to gratitude and a call to be lights in a world in need.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell whether God talks to you about the important and uneventful things in your life. As believers, we are connected to prophecy that allows us to move in the fruits of the Spirit as well as the gifts. God expects us to know His voice and when we move with Him, we are able to discern what is good and just in His eyes. “Be not conform to this world” is the Almighty’s expression to let us know we are not alone in this world. Listen to the three questions 1. What are the fruits and gifts of the Spirit, 2. What is Prophecy, and 3) How does God communicate Prophecy through us? Gain insight into how God prophesies to you through this teaching by Pastor Gray and Elder JC Montgomery. Contact us at welivingstones.org.

On Daily Faith, our special guest bringing you a timely word from heaven is Pastor Derwin Gray. Pastor Derwin Gray co-founded Transformation Church eleven years ago in Indian Land, SC, serving as the Lead Pastor. Transformation Church is a multi-ethnic and multi-generational church. Today, Pastor Gray would like to help you discover that God is relational, and He longs to share His heart with you. There may be times when we feel distant from the Lord in our prayers, although we may be the ones who have stopped crying out to Him in our circumstances. God is faithful, and He keeps His promises never to leave us nor forsake us. Pastor Gray recently released his new book entitled God, do you hear me? He explains the importance and power of prayer in our daily walk with Jesus through the Lord's Prayer in the scriptures. Prayer isn't about making a checklist for God to write off and for you to go about your day. Daily prayer in a believer's life is for God to get to know you through a relationship with Him as your loving heavenly Father. As Pastor Derwin walks us through these steps of understanding, we pray that your heart will be open to receiving the free gift of God's Kingdom for your life and that your heart will take comfort knowing the Father's love surrounds you. The Orphans Hands ministry has helped save and rescue hopeless and forgotten children in Moldova and Ukraine for the past thirty years. We have seen countless tired feet and weary hearts find rest and joy by the comfort of the Father's love. In Moldova, many of their young children grow up in orphanages, never receiving a hug or getting to know the love of a family. These orphanages tell them no one loves them, and they will never amount to anything in life. When they become of age, they are forced out onto the streets, where they fall, subject to the terrifying risks of human trafficking. We have a village of homes in Moldova called Vatra Village and a house in Ukraine; the lives of these children are being transformed and renewed by the power of God's mercy and grace. Our kids have experienced how important the power of prayer is in their lives. By accepting their heavenly Father's love, they are reaching out to meet the needs of other tired feet for God's Kingdom. How do you know if you're successful? How do you know if you're not? What makes a good week? What makes a bad week? At the end of our lives, we are going to judge ourselves and we will use a Standard. Standard is defined as; an idea or thing used as a measure, norm, or model in comparative evaluations. What will you do today? Every day is like a ticking clock. How did you spend your time, before your time in the box? When your eulogy is written, life actions are re-hashed…It's OK to be proud of things they say about how you spent your Dash. What is the Standard of your life? On today's Podcast of Living Life Like It Matters, Mr. Black is asking the question, “What is the Standard of your life?” When we use terms like betterworse, goodbad, RightWrong… what we don’t realize is that these words are COMPARISON Words. In other words, we have a litmus test, something we are comparing things to- it is what can be called a STANDARD. How do you know something is a lie? The answer is simple, “We compare it to the truth”. In order to do that we must have a “standard” for truth. For someone to know that money is counterfeit, then they need to know what real money looks like, feels like, what and where are hidden codes, and watermarks. The only way to know money is counterfeit is to know all there is to know about all the intricacies of REAL MONEY. Today, Mr. Black will be joined by the Senior Pastor at Hope Works church in Fort Worth, Texas- Shane Gray. They will be discussing traits, science, and historicity about the Bible that many do not know. Pastor Gray and Mr. Black will have a spirited discussion about why they believe!
