Approving a stand-alone farm bill is proving to be an uphill climb. Division along party lines was evident in opening statements in the House Agriculture Committee. South Dakota Representative Dusty Johnson says key issues are split along party lines. Iowa Senator Charles Grassley hopes for progress on a farm bill and E15 legislation.
If you're stuck in a golden cage and don't know where to start, book your free 15-minute studio checkup here and let's find the gaps. We get it ... on paper, your studio looks successful. Revenue is solid. Members love the experience. Your community is strong. Being stuck in the Golden Cage is one of the biggest hidden problems in studio growth and gym scaling … and most owners don't realise they're in it. Most studio owners believe scaling requires more leads, better marketing, more ads, more hustle But what if the real bottleneck isn't lead generation? What if it's the lack of scalable fitness business systems underneath your revenue? In this episode of Geronimo Unfiltered, we break down: Why even high-performing gyms can't grow past a certain point The leadership mistake that keeps owners stuck on the floor Why “it's easier if I do it myself” kills scale The hidden gap in most fitness business systems The shift required to move from operator to CEO If you care about: Studio growth Gym scaling Building systems in your fitness business Increasing retention without burnout And ... creating consistency across your team You'll want to listen to this one all the way through. Here's the reality no one talks about when you're a studio owner. You might be: Coaching too many sessions Handling sales yourself Approving everything Fixing small problems daily And then wondering why scaling feels messy. It's not a marketing issue. It's a systems issue. Without the right structure, your gym or studio can grow revenue … but it can't grow freedom. Scaling a gym or studio isn't about doing more. It's about building systems your team can execute without you. Send a textYou've been told your whole life that if you don't call someone out, you're letting them get away with it. But what if that's completely wrong and it's actually making things worse? Most of us are exhausted from trying to change the people around us. Whether it's a frustrating family member, a difficult coworker, or a friend with completely different values, we pour energy into trying to fix people who never actually change. And somehow we end up feeling like the problem. In this episode Sami and Angela unpack one of the most liberating ideas you'll ever hear in a relationship context: accepting someone is not the same as approving of them. You'll discover why calling people out rarely works, how to know the difference between someone being frustrating versus genuinely toxic, and how to stop carrying other people's "dog poop" around like it's yours to deal with. This conversation will completely reframe how you show up in even your most difficult relationships.Key TakeawaysAllowing someone to be who they are is not the same as condoning their behaviorCalling people out feels satisfying but rarely leads to actual changeThere is a real difference between someone being frustrating and someone being genuinely toxicThe grace you give others is usually a direct reflection of the grace you give yourselfYou cannot control other people's behavior, only how you respond to itStop white-knuckling relationships that are draining you. Hit play right now and find out why letting people be who they are might be the most powerful thing you can do for them and for yourself.Order Traveling Light wherever you get your books!Sign up at bfreakingawesome.com to get the latest news, insights, and episodes straight to your inbox.Follow Be Freaking Awesome on Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, and Instagram.Let us know what questions you want to be answered and discussed by emailing us at podcast@bfreakingawesome.com.

Donald Trump appears to have had his hand forced, over the Jeffrey Epstein files. A bipartisan bill compelling the Justice Department to release case documents relating to the deceased convicted sex offender has overwhelming Congress support. The President - who's repeatedly denied links to Epstein - must now sign it into law. US correspondent Jonathan Kearsley says it's unknown when these files will be released, but that detail is up to the Department of Justice. Division within Democrats as US Senators approve the final version of a Bill that could end the weeks-long Government shutdown. The deal from a group of Democrats and GOP leaders will go to the House of Representatives, then will need signing into law by the President. Under the deal, the Government will reopen in exchange for a future vote on extending Affordable Care subsidies. Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley told CNN it's unlikely that vote will go anywhere, because Republicans have vastly different healthcare ideals. US Correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking that the Democrats who flipped say that they've at least set the table for the debate in the midterm elections. In a few months, Washingtonians on Medicare could see additional hurdles when it comes to getting approval for their procedures and care. . That’s because the Trump Administration is exploring the use of prior authorizations to assess whether medical services are necessary for a patient. If it isn’t, the procedures may not be covered. Prior authorization is a common practice in the insurance industry but not in Medicare. The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says the tool will help weed out waste and fraud. And it says it will use AI to help make eligibility decisions. Washington is one of six states that will pilot the program, starting in January. (The Center Square) – With 26 days until the federal government runs out of money, top appropriators have narrowed in on their preferred funding gameplan: push the equivalent of the Senate's three-bill minibus through the House, then let a Continuing Resolution temporarily cover the rest. Approving a CR would mark the fourth time in a row that U.S. lawmakers have punted on funding the government properly, having passed three CRs in fiscal year 2025 to keep government funding essentially on cruise control. Congress is supposed to craft and pass 12 appropriations bills on an annual basis, providing updated funding for federal agencies to spend on programs.Support this podcast: https://secure.anedot.com/franklin-news-foundation/ce052532-b1e4-41c4-945c-d7ce2f52c38a?source_code=xxxxxxFull story: https://www.thecentersquare.com/national/article_89a16630-f91a-4610-b832-b0cb77b1fc6a.html

In the past few years pharmaceutical companies have developed a string of new Alzheimer's drugs called anti-amyloids, which target amyloid plaques in patients' brains. These plaques are one of the key biomarkers of the disease. The first of these drugs, Aduhelm, was approved by the FDA in 2021 amid enormous controversy. The FDA approved the drug despite little evidence that it actually slowed cognitive decline in patients.
