LONG PAUSE… Now see if you can quietly identify, Anywhere on your body where you're feeling tension, Or pain, Or tightness.  PAUSE… Just let your attention travel to these places, Imagining a soft white light hovering over them, Warmly covering you here, And softening you. PAUSE… Feel this warm white light dissolve the pain, And ease any discomfort.  Feel the pressure release. LONG PAUSE… Sink deeper into your bed, Inviting the blankets to hold you, And comfort you, As you breathe deeper, And melt into the night.  LONG PAUSE… Now bring yourself into your mind.  Imagine yourself looking out onto the vast landscape here. The grass is green and soft under you. LONG PAUSE… Now see if you can quietly identify, Anywhere on your body where you're feeling tension, Or pain, Or tightness.  PAUSE… Just let your attention travel to these places, Imagining a soft white light hovering over them, Warmly covering you here, And softening you. PAUSE… Feel this warm white light dissolve the pain, And ease any discomfort.  Feel the pressure release. LONG PAUSE… Sink deeper into your bed, Inviting the blankets to hold you, And comfort you, As you breathe deeper, And melt into the night.  LONG PAUSE… Now bring yourself into your mind.  Imagine yourself looking out onto the vast landscape here. Notice the hills and slopes, Where the light shines, And where the dark hides.  PAUSE… See if you can find the pain and suffering that is living here.  The disappointments, The heavy memories, The tears.  PAUSE… Imagine the loving white light spreading out into the open lands, Finding each one, And swirling its gentle warm energy around it. Soothing the pain, Relieving the suffering.  Dissolving it all with every breath.  LONG PAUSE… The tenderness of the white energy relieves, But also extracts the lessons learned, The wisdom gained, And the beauty in each of the pockets of pain and suffering it touches.  PAUSE… They are a part of you. They have shaped you.  PAUSE… So breathe out the tension, And let it all go. LONG PAUSE… Feel the soft hum of peace, Spread through your body. Down from your head, Into your face, Your shoulders, Your chest, Your belly, All the way down your back, Into your legs, And into your feet.  PAUSE… Release it all, As you sink deeper into your bed. Blue, yellow and red streaks of light, Chattering, Singing, Dancing.  PAUSE… The noise of the day hovers,  Wanting to stay.  PAUSE… So breathe in deeply, And watch as it interrupts the movement, And begins to dissolve the thoughts.  PAUSE… Breathe deeply again,  Shifting your focus onto your breath, Onto the sweet hums of air coming in, And coming out of your lungs.  PAUSE… Breathe deeply once more,  And notice the lightness you feel, As little by little, The energy of the day dims, And dissolves.   LONG PAUSE… Sink deeper now,  Into your welcoming bed.  Let it embrace you, And carry you into the night. Safe, Light,  And free.  PAUSE… Release them now,  Any plans,  Or thoughts, Or emotions, That remain from the day, That want to hold you here, And keep you from dreamland.  Release them… And surrender your body, And your mind, To the nurturing embrace of the night. The grass is green and soft under you. The sun blankets you with a welcoming warmth, And the wind softly kisses your cheeks.  PAUSE… Hear the gentle noises of the river, As you sit here peacefully, And quietly. PAUSE… Bubbling up out of nowhere, Begins your thoughts. Wanting to plan out your day, Wanting to organize, Wanting to worry. PAUSE… Bubbling up out of nowhere, Begins your thoughts. Wanting to plan out your day, Wanting to organize, Wanting to worry. PAUSE… As you feel them arise, Imagine each of them becoming a leaf, Hugging the air as they fall gently into the river. PAUSE… And then observe those leaves - your thoughts -  Being carried down the river, One by one, As you let them go, As you remain on the bank of the river. Calm,  Peaceful.  Free. PAUSE… Let them go,  Each of those leaves of thoughts. Let them fall into the river,  And float downstream, Away from you, As you remain here, Whole. Still. One more deep breath in,  Expanding your chest and belly as far as they can go, And then breathe out,  Releasing and relaxing. Now bring your breathing to a nice, easy rhythm,  As you relax your body deeper. PAUSE… Release it all every time you breathe out. All the tasks left to do, All the ups and downs from the day, And all the thoughts about tomorrow.  None of it is here, In this moment with you. So breathe it out, And invite yourself to be right here, Right now.  PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine a small, open box in front of you. Place your hands on either side of it,  Preparing yourself to close it.  But before you do,  Take a moment to find anything left over from work that is still swirling around inside of you. PAUSE… See if you can find all those things left on your to-do list, And place them inside the box.  All those exciting ideas and projects, Place them inside the box.  Any worries or discomforts, Place them inside the box. Take a few moments to find anymore thoughts or emotions that might still be lingering from work, And watch as you place them in your box. LONG PAUSE… Now, as the last item is placed in the box,  Invite yourself to close it,  And seal it tight. Gently move your box to a special place where you know you will find it tomorrow, And then come back here, To this moment, Away from your box of work, And settled deeply into the calm of this present moment.  And breathe… PAUSE… Leave it all there, my love, It will be there for you tomorrow. PAUSE… Stretching,  Expanding,  And then when you're ready,  Sink into that special position you know so well,  And feel its comfort,  Its welcome,  Its home. LONG PAUSE… Notice the soft warmth that the comfort of relaxation brings.  Feel your body become heavy and light at the same time. Sinking into your bed,  And drifting off into the night.  PAUSE… Breathe… Softly,  Slowly. Breathe… Gently, Deeply. LONG PAUSE… Become aware of the thoughts, feelings and sensations that move within and around you, like waves in the sea.  Notice your connection to the whole. And your hazy drifting between this world,  And the world of dreams.  PAUSE… Release any tension or heaviness that exists within you,  Releasing it,  Dissolving it, With every single breath. LONG PAUSE… Observe your body and the slowly moving waves of energy. Let this calming energy fill the areas that are tense or tight. PAUSE… Feel this warm white light dissolve the pain, And ease any discomfort.  Feel the pressure release. LONG PAUSE… Sink deeper into your bed, Inviting the blankets to hold you, And comfort you, As you breathe deeper, And melt into the night.  LONG PAUSE… Now bring yourself into your mind.  Imagine yourself looking out onto the vast landscape here. Notice the hills and slopes, Where the light shines, And where the dark hides.  PAUSE… See if you can find the pain and suffering that is living here.  The disappointments, The heavy memories, The tears.  PAUSE… Imagine the loving white light spreading out into the open lands, Finding each one, And swirling its gentle warm energy around it. Soothing the pain, Relieving the suffering.  Dissolving it all with every breath.  LONG PAUSE… The tenderness of the white energy relieves, But also extracts the lessons learned, The wisdom gained, And the beauty in each of the pockets of pain and suffering it touches.  PAUSE… They are a part of you. They have shaped you.  PAUSE… So breathe out the tension, And let it all go. LONG PAUSE… Feel the soft hum of peace, Spread through your body.
