Hey, it’s Thursday! Our almost-Friday gift to you is here. It’s Jon Steiert. And boy are we excited to have this guy on the show! Do you know who Jon Steiert is, and why we were so stoked to have him on? He was True Voice Media’s first employee! And since then, he’s spread his wings to leave the True Voice nest, and become kind of a big deal at Pet360. Full disclosure: Pet360 is one our clients, and a lot of that is thanks to Jon helping us find our way to each other. At Pet360, Jon is the senior manager of E-commerce content. Fancy, right? He’s a lover of his wife, comedy, hockey, and, of course, animals. If we could turn time capsules into audio entertainment this would be it. This episode is a special one because Jeff and Jon get to go back in time to the birth of our agency and talk about everything that’s happened since. If you love learning about humble beginnings this is a great episode to listen to because you won’t only hear about how True Voice Media got started, but also how Jon got his start in social. In Jon’s own word’s, “I have a career thanks to Jeff Gibbard.” So go on, put those earbuds in, and enjoy this Delorean ride into some very shareable history.

Jon Steiert (pronounced STY ERT) knows a thing or two about food ... and weight ... and unhealthy eating. In fact, today's guest (#14) knows a LOT about being fat and out of shape. As it turns out, he also knows even more about being healthy and in shape. Ever since discovering his passion - INGREDIENTS - Jon has lost fat, gained muscle, and educated himself on what he is putting into his body. Jon does not have a degree in nutrition or really anything related to food; however, I'd lean on him for anything related to ingredients and healthy eating. Dude gets it. In case you missed any of the previous episodes, you can catch them here by visiting the Living Your Passion landing page. Are you ready to talk ingredients? During this episode ... We chatted about how we met - power of social media! Jon shared how was pushing 300 pounds a few years ago - as well as how he lost 40 pounds previously ... then it came back. Jon talked about his mentor/guide/DOCTOR - Dr. Charlie Seltzer of Lean for Life We talk YET AGAIN about how I am recording some of these episodes outside. We had a ... discussion ... about The Food Babe (this is the Pumpkin Spiced Late article we discussed and this is the "Jenny McCarthy of Food" article I mentioned). I really like Jon's take on The Food Babe too. Jon shared an incredibly powerful story about his uncle. We talked about the best grocery store IN THE WORLD, Wegmans. Trusted Pet Partners - Behind the Curtain

I really enjoy going to various conferences and events as it gives me a great opportunity to meet some really interesting people. Several weeks ago I was in Salt Lake City at BlogPaws and met Rose and the rest of the Pet360 team. What a great group of women who all share a commitment for animals. I didn't have time for a sit down with Rose at the event but we were able to connect by phone a few weeks later. I guess the most interesting thing for me about Pet360 is how they are growing a community that is designed around the pets and their companions, with relevant articles and information delivered to you based on your interactions. Now I know this is what Facebook tries to do with everyone and everything... but with the specific focal point of our pets provides a useful community for us. They are in their Beta phase, so they are looking for people to participate and provide the feedback necessary for a great community. Be sure to check it out. This weeks blogs...YIKES!
