In the news, Coinbase deals with bribes and insider threat, the NCSC notes the cross-cutting problem of incentivizing secure design, we cover some research that notes the multitude of definitions for secure design, and discuss the new Cybersecurity Skills Framework from the OpenSSF and Linux Foundation. Then we share two more sponsored interviews from this year's RSAC Conference. With more types of identities, machines, and agents trying to access increasingly critical data and resources, across larger numbers of devices, organizations will be faced with managing this added complexity and identity sprawl. Now more than ever, organizations need to make sure security is not an afterthought, implementing comprehensive solutions for securing, managing, and governing both non-human and human identities across ecosystems at scale. ➡ Get full visibility, risk insights, red teaming, and governance for your AI models, AI agents, RAGs, and more—so you can securely deploy AI powered applications with ul.live/mend In this episode, I speak with Bar-El Tayouri, Head of AI Security at Mend.io, about the rapidly evolving landscape of application and AI security—especially as multi-agent systems and fuzzy interfaces redefine the attack surface. We talk about: • Modern AppSec Meets AI Agents How traditional AppSec falls short when it comes to AI-era components like agents, MCP servers, system prompts, and model artifacts—and why security now depends on mapping, monitoring, and understanding this entire stack. • Threat Discovery, Simulation, and Mitigation How Mend’s AI security suite identifies unknown AI usage across an org, simulates dynamic attacks (like prompt injection via PDFs), and provides developers with precise, in-code guidance to reduce risk without slowing innovation. • Why We’re Rethinking Identity, Risk, and GovernanceWhy securing AI systems isn’t just about new threats—it’s about re-implementing old lessons: identity access, separation of duties, and system modeling. And why every CISO needs to integrate security into the dev workflow instead of relying on blunt-force blocking. Last week was a pivotal moment for the people of Covenant Life. We learned together that there’s power in the presence of God, and we don’t have to wait until the future to access it or worry that we missed it in the past. We can access it right now in our present. Many people prayed to God at the end of service, seeking His help in forgiving those who hurt them and trying to live out His will for their lives, but that type of life change doesn’t happen overnight. When the Israelites crossed into the Promised Land, they faced many battles and setbacks, but before they could move forward, they needed to stop and heal. The men required a physical circumcision to be set apart for God, but the hearts of everyone in the group needed a spiritual circumcision — a separation from their past selves. The same is required of us; the Lord must be allowed to mend us, so we have the strength to ascend the mountain and seek His glory.

This episode is the first in the 2nd half of our Hard Conversations series. Kelly speaks with Rabbi Sharon Brous, who she discovered at the Aspen Ideas Festival and was so captivated by that she waited backstage to invite her onto the podcast. Together they explore forgiveness through ancient and modern perspectives, examining a powerful ritual where those with broken hearts walked against the crowd at the Temple Mount and were asked simply, "What happened to you?" Rabbi Sharon unpacks the Jewish process of teshuvah (repentance), shares why sitting beside someone in their darkness can mean more than offering solutions, and reveals how truly seeing one another might help us bridge our deepest divides. Their exchange offers fresh insights for anyone seeking to repair relationships or create meaningful connections after harm. Spring cleaning is in the air - so whether you've woken up with the urge to clear out the ‘drawer of doom' this Bank Holiday, are feeling too overwhelmed or time poor (or both) to know where to start, or have just decided to ‘bless the mess', join us as we take a deep dive into decluttering, our relationship to our stuff and the impact clutter can have on our lives. Presenter Nuala McGovern is joined by two of the UK's leading professional organisers, Ingrid Jansen and Lesley Spellman from The Declutter Hub. They'll be exploring why it's our emotions that hold the key to banishing things that no longer serve a purpose in our lives, along with sharing their best advice for conquering clutter. TV presenter, writer and Homes Therapist Michelle Ogundehin takes a break from judging Interior Design Masters to talk to Nuala about the connection between our home and our wellbeing, her personal wardrobe strategy and her love of curated things that tell our story. The Good Housekeeping Decluttering Study has just been published and the magazine's Homes and Household Advice Editor Katie Mortram tells us what it reveals about our attitudes to clutter and some of our biggest regrets. And we hear about the birth of ‘clutter', from the Victorian obsession with doilies to the impact of the wartime Make Do and Mend message, with Professor Jane Hamlett, a historian of the home. Have you heard about The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning? We'll be exploring the philosophy from Margareta Magnusson's 2018 book, which encourages you to deal with your stuff before you die, so that someone else doesn't have to do it after you've left this earth. Psychotherapist and author Stelios Kiosses, from Channel 4 programme The Hoarder Next Door, also joins us to explore the psychology behind why we hang on to stuff and the difference between hoarding and being a compulsive hoarder. And with all the will in the world, no clear out will succeed without an 'exit plan'. From recycling to selling, we discuss the best ways to pass our things on. Presenter: Nuala McGovern Producer: Sarah Jane Griffiths Editor: Deiniol Buxton

Creativity and invention aren't words often associated with hardship and suffering, but in the Second World War women in America and Britain faced with clothes rationing rose to the challenge in many different ways. Those days are long past, but in an era of textile super-abundance, do clothes coupons have something new to teach us about how we buy and use our clothes? Can clothes rationing help cure us of an addiction to fast fashion? In this month's episode, we hear from a well-known winner of the Great British Sewing Bee who has adopted the wartime system of coupons as a way of limiting her consumption of fabric and clothing. Eighty years ago, Make Do and Mend became the watch-words of the day as people eked out their garments, repairing and re-making them over and over again. But clothes rationing in both countries also changed what people wore and hastened technological revolutions. In Britain many people had access to quality, well-styled clothing for the first time, and in America with luxury fibres scarce, man-made fibres entered the market much more quickly than they might otherwise have done. Episode 120: The Plan B Chronicles: Divorce, Defiance, Liberation I had Meredith as a guest here on the podcast last June, episode 113 Taylor Swift and the Divine Feminine. We have since gotten to know each other a little better and when I heard that she was promoting her new book, I wanted to support her in spreading the word. In The Plan B Chronicles: Divorce, Defiance, Liberation, psychotherapist Meredith Beardmore delivers a raw and compelling memoir chronicling her journey through betrayal, healing, and self-discovery. After discovering her husband's infidelity, Meredith's life spirals into chaos, challenging everything she thought she knew about love, trust, and personal strength. Drawing from her professional experience in therapy and somatic healing, Beardmore navigates the emotional wreckage while offering readers valuable insights and practical tools for overcoming similar challenges. Through her path of somatic therapy, spiritual awakening, and ultimately reclaiming her personal power, Meredith's memoir is a candid, inspiring account of how the darkest moments in life can lead to profound transformation. This book serves as both a healing guide and a story of empowerment, making it essential reading for modern women questioning their own relationships and seeking a way forward. I was happy to read a copy of her book last weekend- she is a great writer and storyteller and I loved the way she wove it all together… Nevermind the sprinkling in of messages from spirit and divine interventions along the way! Right up my alley! She did a beautiful job of making magic from her hardship and in turn will help loads of others who are on a similar journey. Meredith Beardmore is a licensed psychotherapist, author, and the creator of the YouTube channel Mend with Mere. Her second book, The Plan B Chronicles: Divorce. Defiance. Liberation., is a fierce and funny collection of essays about heartbreak, single motherhood, and rewriting your future when life blows up the blueprint. She's also the author of Hey Addiction, Thanks for Nothing: A Brutally Honest Guide to Loving an Addict Without Losing Your Mind, inspired by her years of supporting families of addicts—both professionally and personally. Meredith holds a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Ohio State University and integrates ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and expressive arts into her therapeutic work. Her writing has appeared in The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, and Colman McCarthy's Teaching Peace. She lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her son, Jules, and their dog, Reese To learn more about me (Karen) and the work that I do, go to rebalancewithreiki.com - if you are local to Northern NJ and you'd like to check out my store front you can visit my page moonmagicwellness.com. En verontrustend.***Verder lezenEurope thinks the unthinkable on a nuclear bomb (Economist, 12 maart 2025)Claire Mills - The French Nuclear Deterrent (House of Commons, 20 november 2020)Europese Commissie publiceert Witboek over Europese defensie en ReArm Europe / Readiness 2030***Verder luisteren490 – Duitslands grote draai. A Minnesota jail nurse is now facing second-degree manslaughter and felony criminal neglect charges nearly six years after an inmate under her care died—an incident that led to a $2.6 million settlement and inspired a new state law to prevent similar tragedies. According to the criminal complaint, 27-year-old Hardel Sherrell was booked into the Beltrami County Jail on August 24, 2018. Despite high blood pressure and a history of respiratory failure, his initial condition appeared stable. Three days later, Sherrell began experiencing chest pain and tingling in his left hand. He received an electrocardiogram (EKG) and painkillers, and he reported that he had stopped taking his blood pressure medication months earlier. Over the following days, Sherrell's health deteriorated further. He frequently fell out of his bunk and complained of numbness in his legs. On August 31, he was observed lying on a mat, unable to move; his mouth drooped, and his speech was slurred. A jail doctor suspected Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare autoimmune disorder. Hospital tests, however, led an emergency room physician to diagnose him with “malingering and weakness” before sending him back to the jail. When 37-year-old nurse Michelle Rose Skroch—then employed by MEnD Correctional Care, LLC—came on duty September 1, she was briefed about Sherrell's rapidly worsening condition. Prosecutors allege she simply stood at his cell door, refused to conduct any standard medical assessment, and told Sherrell he could walk if he wanted to. When he begged for help, she allegedly stated she “would not bargain with him.” Across two days, Skroch is accused of never taking Sherrell's vital signs, even as he struggled to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom unassisted. The complaint further states she told a jail doctor that Sherrell was improving, despite video footage apparently showing him taking rapid, shallow breaths. She purportedly told correctional officers he was “perfectly fine.” Around 4:46 p.m. on September 2, officers discovered Sherrell unresponsive; he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. An autopsy showed he died from pneumonia and cerebral edema (brain swelling), with a separate pathologist concluding the cause of death was complications from Guillain-Barré Syndrome. A correctional health expert reviewing the case stated that Skroch failed to perform the “most basic nursing care,” labeling the lack of vital sign checks on a critically ill patient a “tremendous breach” of duty. Medical experts believe Sherrell likely would have survived had he received proper treatment. Sherrell's mother filed a lawsuit against the county and MEnD, resulting in a $2.6 million settlement. In response to the case, Minnesota lawmakers passed the “Hardel Sherrell Act,” granting the Department of Corrections greater oversight of county jails. Skroch, whose nursing license has been revoked, was arrested Friday and charged with second-degree manslaughter (culpable negligence) and two counts of felony criminal neglect. She is scheduled to appear in court on April 11. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? I'm always asking questions. The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as… Was Moses challenged by those he led? Yeah! Bible Moses! Was he challenged by his peopled? Plus…songs written about mending a broken heart, have any of them actually worked? I'm Arroe… I am a daily writer. A silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate. I call it The Daily Mess. A chronological walk through an everyday world. Yes, it's my morning writing. To say that Claire Sinclair is generous with her time, is an understatement. She's been a teacher for decades. And currently she's teaching kindergarten in the same classroom at the same elementary school she attended. What's interesting about how our conversation began is that both Claire and her mother attended Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ and both women married their high school sweethearts, just decades apart.Claire shares stories of the similarities of she and her mom and how much it means to her that so many people from her community still hold her mother close to their heart. Claire's mother, 'Ellie,' was known as "The Duck Lady" in Maplewood/South Orange NJ. What she started many years ago as a simple race in a brook with plastic ducks has grown to raising tens of thousands of dollars annually for different organizations that help and support kids, ie Kiwanis, Scouts, YMCA, etc. Ellie's mom, Claire's maternal grandmother, passed away when Ellie was in her 20's. When Ellie's father remarried, there was no real love between she and her step mother so she moved in with one of her favorite aunts, Aunt Fay, her birth mother's sister, who ran a preschool out of her home. Ellie had interests in nursing and/or becoming a teacher but her career was cut short when it was time to start a family. Claire says "she likes to dabble in a little bit of everything, just like her mom." Claire is involved in community awareness when it comes to food insecure families. She volunteers regularly at local food pantries distributing food as well as keeping her young students involved by organizing can drives at the elementary school. As a board member for MEND, Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity, located throughout Essex County, NJ, Claire regularly sees families in need of help and like her mom, it's hard for her to say no to helping others.Claire is the administrator of a Facebook Group, 'Habitual Gratitude 365' where she shares daily prompts of things that her multitude of followers are grateful for. Again, like her mom, and as a mother, she loves to help others in need.Claire's mother passed away in 2013 but she's left an imprint on the community. Claire was lucky enough to have one last phone call from her mom and she's so happy that she picked up that call.Claire also has a park bench in Maplewood Memorial Park, which was dedicated to her mother, by the community, nestled nicely right beside the brook where Ellie started her very first Memorial Day 'Duck Race.' That's where Claire goes on a regular basis to feel her mother's support, love and guidance.Claire Sinclair's Recent book:The Mice Wo Came to Story TimeFacebook Page:Habitual Gratitude 365, Claire Gianni SinclairLinkedIn: Claire SinclairInstagram: clairesinclair, clairesinclairwrites, habitualgratitudeX:Claire Sinclair, MrsSinclairK123, project4kindBleusky:Clairesinclair SHLTMM YOUTUBE CHANNEL: You can now listen to my podcasts on YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoUWxgQECqrMqI1ylVH9Dpw "Should Have Listened To My Mother" is an ongoing conversation about mothers/female role models and the roles they play in our lives. Join Sergio and I as we talk about how its been finding himself while working with 3 bands. Sergio discusses how he's really honed in on being of service to not only the other musicians he's collaborating with but to the song itself. We get into where Sergio's sense of style and live show comes from. We dive into the journey he and Eidola have been on over the last 3 releases, culminating in a double album that went from the bands heaviest, Eviscerate, to the bands lightest, Mend. We talk about how that process was for Sergio, admittedly not being into the heavier side of things, but how that allowed him to really express himself on Mend. We get into what the future holds for the band and where Sergio thinks it could go. Sergio also talks about how he got involved with Blue Swan Records from the label side of things, and how it has been for him learning the ins and outs or working for and help run a label. Some of the early challenges he faced, and taking a moment to reflect on the successes along the way.Intro Music:“Remember “This Night” (Podcast Edit) by Chae Hawk"Pretty Lights" by HeartsickShow Sponsors:Rockabilia (www.rockabilia.com) USE OUR CODE BREWTALLY AND GET 10% OFF YOUR TOTAL ORDER!!Links:Facebook:www.facebook.com/DanceGavinDancewww.facebook.com/eidolaUTwww.facebook.com/RoyalCodaOfficialwww.facebook.com/rockabiliacomwww.facebook.com/brewspeakpodInstagram:@sergio.medina93, @dancegavindance, @eidola, @royal.coda, @rockabiliacom, @brewspeakpod, @jbeatty616Twitter:@DGDtheband, @eidola, @royalcoda, @rockabilia, @brewspeakpod, @jbeatty616Website:www.dancegavindanceband.comwww.eidolaband.comEmail:Brewtallyspeaking@gmail.comRATE/REVIEW/SUBSCRIBE!!!
