This is a bit of a strange episode. It's an attempt to explore the difficulty of everything we're supposed to feel in a day. We're in a time when to open the news is to expose yourself to horrors — ones that are a world away, others that are growing ever closer, or perhaps have already made landfall in our lives. And then many of us look up from our screens into a normal spring day. What do you do with that? But that's not new or exceptional. It's the human condition. It exists for all of us, and it always has: life intermingling with death, grief coexisting with joy. Kathryn Schulz's memoir, “Lost & Found,” is all about this experience — the core of her book isn't losing a parent or finding a life partner. It's the “and” that connects them both. How do we hold all that we have to hold, all at once? How do we not feel overwhelmed, or emotionally numbed? I found this to be a beautiful conversation. But it's also a conversation — particularly at the beginning — about loss and grief. That was the part that felt truest to me, and so I hope noting it doesn't warn you off. But I wanted to note it. Hey Collectors! On this episode, we're joined by Deborah Derrickson Kossmann, psychologist and author of the deeply moving memoir Lost Found Kept. In this conversation, Deborah takes us into the heart of a childhood home filled with memories—and decades of her mother's compulsive hoarding. Through the emotional excavation of physical space, she uncovers much more: a layered portrait of grief, love, mental illness, and the power of objects to hold meaning. Whether you've lived through something similar or are simply drawn to stories of healing and family complexity, this episode is for you. Available here: https://www.lostfoundkept.com/

3.30.25 Sermon by Dr. Brad Clayton based off of Luke 15:1-7
In Luke 15, Jesus tells a powerful story of a son who was lost, a father who never stopped loving him, and a homecoming filled with joy. This Gospel preaching explores the parable of the Prodigal Son, revealing the heart of God towards sinners. The post Lost, Found, Rejoice appeared first on Preachers Corner.
This week we feature multi-instrumentalist Greg Luck. Greg has performed with many of the top bands in bluegrass, including Lost & Found, the Lynn Morris Band, Bluegrass Cardinals, J.D. Crowe and the New South, IIIrd Time Out and Sideline. He also is a recording engineer who has worked with a number of the well-known bands in bluegrass.
The story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) gives us an opportunity to reflect on that which we may have lost, and hope for what we can find.Got Bible questions? You can still leave a voicemail at 305-290-1190! We may even put you in the show

Welcome to the daily304 – your window into Wonderful, Almost Heaven, West Virginia. Today is Saturday, March 22, 2025. Lost + Found Pizza and Provisions serves up tasty Neapolitan style pies in the Lost River Valley…WorkForceWV assists businesses with finding effective workforce solutions…and WV's Eastern Panhandle and southwestern counties get ready to welcome (or at least tolerate) the noisy return of cicadas this spring…on today's daily304. #1 – From WV LIVING – Two couples with big ideas found a home—and success—in the Lost River Valley with Lost + Found Pizza and Provisions. Chad Sandhas and Maxwell Hessman, together with Kim and Jimmy Eggert, opened the restaurant in Mathias in 2023. The Neapolitan-style pies they serve can't be found anywhere else around these parts. The pepperoni pizza is their top seller, hands down, but the pizza Sandhas finds most interesting is one called The Apple, featuring thinly sliced apples with white cheddar cheese and housemade onion jam. With just over a year under their belts, Sandhas says Lost + Found's focus is continuing to attract people who haven't given it a shot yet. “We believe if the food is good, it will bring people together, and that's what we're trying to offer here,” he said. You can view their menu at lostandfoundlrv.com. Recognizing the pivotal role of skilled employees in driving business success, the agency offers a range of tailored services to address the diverse needs of companies statewide. Businesses collaborating with WorkForce West Virginia gain access to a comprehensive array of resources and support. Read more: https://workforcewv.org/businesses/ #3 – From WBOY-TV – Although the largest cicada brood in West Virginia won't return until 2033, some counties will see cicadas from Brood XIV, which emerges in 2025. West Virginia is one of 13 states that will be impacted by Brood XIV in 2025, but only sections of the state will see—and hear—the large insects, which only emerge every 17 or 13 years, depending on the brood. In 2025, counties in the southwestern part of the state and in the Eastern Panhandle will see (and hear!) the noisy insects. Cicadas usually emerge in late spring when the ground temperature reached 64 degrees. After that, they will stick around for about 4-6 weeks. When was the last time you sat with yourself...like really, truly sat with everything you are and everything you've been through? In this video, I think I made some kind of 90s-inspired meditation, a nostalgic journey that touches the deepest parts of your soul and brings you back to the moments that shaped you. Remember the kid who believed in magic, who saw the world as a canvas filled with possibility? The teenager who felt everything so deeply that it hurt? And now, here you are, carrying stories and memories, both beautiful and painful, that you never asked for but have grown into. This meditation reflects on those chapters, especially the moments when you learned that life doesn't always go as expected, when growing up meant carrying things you never thought you'd have to. Through gentle visuals and a super cool ( at least to me ) soundtrack, let this experience guide you to the quiet resilience that's kept you moving forward, the strength that's allowed you to keep breathing, keep feeling, and keep finding beauty in the small things. Dust in the sunlight. Coffee swirling in the morning. The softness in your heart despite every ache it's felt. Who are you, really? Beyond the face you show the world, beyond the person others expect you to be? This meditation is about sitting with that person, dancing with your shadows, finding acceptance in your story, and discovering a quiet beauty within every scar, every laugh, and every tear. This isn't what we usually do, but it's a moment to pause, reflect, and remember: you're still here, still writing your story, still learning to love the parts of yourself you once thought were unlovable. Press play and join us on this journey down memory lane. You're not alone in it, and your story is far from over. Howdy, spacefarers! Apologies for the delay in posting—September got away from me. My goal is to publish at least once a month, but life had other plans. Luckily, I convinced the wonderful Sydney to join me and share her thoughts on the latest addition to the Star Wars Disneyverse! It's been a while since The Acolyte aired its last episode. By now, you probably know the show was canceled. If I had recorded this earlier, that news might have been a surprise. However, given the backlash, it's not shocking. At the time of writing, the show holds a 4.1 on IMDb, and the fan and critic ratings on Metacritic are split—3.2 from fans and 67 from critics. Despite the negative press, I urge you to watch The Acolyte and form your own opinion. If you don't like it, let me know why! That's more than my co-host, AJ, who hasn't even watched the show but still decided it sucked. What's he basing that on? Probably all the controversy surrounding the creator and the show's lukewarm reception. At least give it a chance and see for yourself rather than relying on hearsay. Rewatching the first episode, I noticed a lot of foreshadowing I missed the first time around. For example, Mae's black eyes really creeped me out during the second watch. Also, it's fascinating to see how the creators attempted to expand the Star Wars universe just 100 years before The Phantom Menace. Unfortunately, many elements feel familiar, such as the Neimoidians on the cargo ship where Osha, our protagonist, works as a mechanic. Of course, more CGI shots of Coruscant were included—because what Star Wars property would be complete without it? As much as I understand that Coruscant is central to the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Temple, I wish Disney didn't stick to their 80/20 formula for Star Wars. It means we're seeing a lot of the same things to keep fans happy. This “safe” approach has been a critique since The Force Awakens—where a young, poor individual from a desert planet embarks on a journey, hops on the Millennium Falcon, meets Han Solo and Chewbacca, and destroys a giant space station. We've seen this before! While there are new characters, there's still so much unexplored in the Star Wars universe, including planets and biomes that deserve screen time. Sigh... I guess we should be thankful we're still getting new Star Wars movies, shows, and content. You don't always get what you love, but sometimes, you've got to love what you get. After my podcast last week talking about a Myers Manx that I was posting up for sale I got an inbox message from Kenny Nash. Kenny referred me to his body Todd Cooper, who had a really great story on finding an all original one owner Max in the basement of a house in Virginia. When he tried to buy it from the original owner, it was a no sale. Things changed when the owner passed away. He left his good friend in charge of all the cars, but the buggy was supposed to go to an ex-girlfriend as luck would have it, Todd ends up with the car. It's a wild story and a cool project. Also, we follow up on Bill getting flamed on a Face classified for Myers Manx Cars. When he post his 1969 titled series one makes up for sale. Bill has no problem getting attacked by the gatekeepers. But as fate would have it, Bill would soon be vindicated. We call out some of those Facebook people by name and we denounce their expertise in the Manx forums. www.letstalkdubs.com www.vwtrendsmagazine.com www.rosswulf.com https://booksbymeyers.com

Tatiana King & DJ BenHaMeen are back to discuss the first two episodes of The Acolyte, the latest and greatest from the Star Wars universe, now available on Disney Plus!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/for-all-nerds-show--5649266/support.
Welcome to AcoNight: The Acolyte Aftershow, the Star Wars show all about THE ACOLYTE! This podcast episode covers episodes 1 & 2 of the series, “Lost/Found” and “Revenge/Justice.” We dive into the Leslye Headland directed premiere episodes and might have hit the nail on the head with some theories! Maybe? Listen and let us know what you think. We did some serious detective work and analysis. Lacey believes Qimir might be the masked Sith Lord, and John did some legit dialogue and speech pattern analysis that lends heavy evidence to that theory. And who knew the Hutts would be key here…you'll see what we mean. We also rate the episodes on a scale of 0 to 10 “Kelnaccas”, have a complete in-depth spoiler discussion about the episode, and launch our massive SITH CODE mystery giveaway contest! Plus your comments and much more! Thank you for listening to AcoNight: The Acolyte Star Wars Aftershow by The Resistance Broadcast!

Breakdowns on new characters Mae/Osha (Amandla Stenberg), Sol (Lee Jung-Jae), Yord (Charlie Barnett), Jecki (Dafne Keen), and Qimir (Manny Jacinto).
