What was the Acts 2 church meant to be? And how far have we drifted from it? Continuing the Summer Reset series on the Jesus Over Everything podcast, Lisa Whittle tackles a topic her own audience asked her to address: cliques, popularity dynamics, and comfortable social circles that quietly take root in the very place designed to be their opposite. Drawing on real messages from listeners, teachings from top theologians, and a challenge rooted in Matthew 28, Lisa makes the case that playing church – surrounding ourselves with people who look, act, and think just like us – is more than a social problem. It's a spiritual one. This is a conversation for anyone who's ever felt the gap between what the church is supposed to be and what it sometimes is, and wants to close it. Listen in to learn more: Why Lisa almost didn't make this episode and what changed her mind The listener's message about cliques in women's ministry that started it all What the Acts 2 church was actually designed to be (and what it was never meant to be) How our social patterns have replaced the mission of the church Why cliques have no place in a community called to unity The connection between comfortable Christianity and a lazy faith What is really at risk when we miss the person sitting alone A hard question: Are we living for Jesus or for popularity and comfort? Continuing our Summer Reset series on the Jesus Over Everything show, this conversation between Lisa Whittle and renowned researcher and author Dr. George Barna focuses on a foundational question: What does it mean to have a biblical worldview, and what's at stake if we fail to pass one on to the next generation?   The data Dr. George Barna brings to this episode is the kind that should wake every believer up. A biblical worldview isn't formed by accident: it's built in homes, modeled in churches, and lived out in the daily rhythms of faithful adults. The next generation is watching. The question is: what are they seeing?   Listen in to learn more: (00:24) Dr. Barna gets honest about nerves, aging, and why he still says yes to interviews (04:24) Why millions of Christ followers have walked away from Sunday mornings (08:04) How a 40-year researcher processes hope and despair in the data (13:54) Only 4% of American adults and just 1% of teens have a biblical worldview (14:36) Why a child's worldview is substantially formed by age 13 (16:42) Barna's simple definition of a biblical worldview (20:58) Is skipping church a sign of lost faith, or just doing faith differently? (31:22) Only 37% of pastors have a biblical worldview, and what that reveals about seminary (35:31) Barna's unfiltered take on social media and discipleship (36:09) Introducing the “seven cornerstones of a biblical worldview”   Mentioned in the Episode: Book - Revolution by Dr. George Barna: https://a.co/d/0iHdx2rZ Book - Raising Spiritual Champions by Dr. George Barna: https://a.co/d/05O2sSOV Latest Reports - Cultural Research Center at ACU: https://azcu.edu/culturalresearchcenter/   Connect with Dr. George Barna: Website: https://georgebarna.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/drgeorgebarna/ Connect with Lisa:Website: https://www.lisawhittle.comSubstack: https://letsbeclear.substack.comYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@lisawhittleofficialInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/lisawhittleFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/lisawhittleofficial

Episode Summary: What if the biggest problem facing the Church isn't a lack of activity, but a lack of measurable discipleship? In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Len Munsil, President of Arizona Christian University, to explore a question most Christian institutions never ask: Are we actually forming a biblical worldview in the people we disciple? And as a reminder, “you cannot become a genuine disciple of Jesus without having a biblical worldview” (Dr. Barna).Drawing on years of research conducted with George Barna and the Cultural Research Center, Dr. Munsil explains how ACU measures worldview formation and what the data reveals about students, pastors, churches, and Gen Z. We discuss why biblical worldview is about more than knowledge, the surprising gap between Bible engagement and worldview adoption, and why intentional discipleship is essential for lasting cultural transformation. If you care about biblical worldview, Christian education, discipleship, and the future of the Church in America, this conversation offers both a sobering reality check and a reason for hope.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Since 1997, DNA's mission has been to equip followers of Jesus around the globe with a biblical worldview, empowering them to build flourishing families, communities, and nations.

It's Thursday, May 7th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark German authorities upset with Christian YouTubers Officials in Germany are investigating two Christian YouTubers for criticizing Islam. The two young men, Niko and Tino, run a YouTube channel called Eternal Life. They published a video titled “Islam is no peace” in 2024.  The Hamburg Public Prosecutor's Office is now investigating both of them for allegedly violating Article 166 of the German Criminal Code. Violations are punishable by up to three years in prison.    Tino told Apollo News last month, “I don't understand what they're trying to investigate. … People shouldn't have to be afraid to express their opinions and profess their faith in Jesus Christ.”  Israel created Special Envoy to Christians over lost credibility The government of Israel created a position of Special Envoy to the Christian World last month. Israel's ties with Christians churches have deteriorated after several recent incidents. In one case, Israeli soldiers destroyed a statue of Jesus in southern Lebanon. In another, Israeli police prevented services at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Palm Sunday during the Iran war.  Israel also wants to build ties with young Christian leaders and influencers. The Foreign Ministry plans to bring thousands of these leaders to the country by the end of this year.   Vivek Ramaswamy won Ohio GOP primary for governor In the United States, Ohio and Indiana held primary elections on Tuesday.  Tech billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy won the Republican primary for governor of Ohio. RAMASWAMY: “We have an historic opportunity to lead Ohio to be the top state in the country, to raise a young family, to give our kids a world class education, and to be the state where we revive this quaint idea that we call the American dream. “And tonight that is very personal to me. My parents came halfway around the world to Cincinnati, Ohio, half a century ago, with nothing to their name. I went to public schools through eighth grade because private schools were not on the table for us. I went to St. X for high school. “My dad worked for a five-figure salary for most of his career at the G.E. plant right off I-75 in Evendale. My mom worked at the V.A. taking care of nursing home patients as well. “And now, after having founded thankfully successful businesses, in a position to call myself the Republican nominee for governor in the very state where I was born and raised. That is the American Dream that makes American exceptionalism possible. I know that American dream exists because I have lived it in this state.” Vivek Ramaswamy will face Democrat Amy Acton in November to replace current Republican Governor Mike DeWine. In Indiana, President Donald Trump endorsed seven challengers to state senators who opposed his redistricting plan. A majority of those Trump-backed candidates won their primaries.   Illinois dropped pro-abortion amendment from ballot Officials in Illinois recently dropped a pro-abortion amendment from this year's ballot measures. The amendment would have enshrined the murder of unborn babies as a right in the state's constitution. The Chicago Tribune described the development as a “rare pro-life victory” in the pro-abortion state. Despite this, LifeSiteNews notes, “Illinois is the leading national hub providing abortions for women who live in states where abortion is banned.” Americans fear running out of money more than dying Americans are more afraid of running out of money than they are of dying. That's according to a new study by Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America. The survey found that 67% of Americans say they worry more about running out of money than death. That's up 10 percentage points from 2022.  Not surprisingly, a recent Gallup poll found that the top financial concern of American families is the high cost of living.  In Matthew 6:33-34, Jesus said “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” CNN founder Ted Turner has died Ted Turner, the founder of CNN, died yesterday at the age of 87. The Ohio-born businessman revolutionized television news. At CNN, he started the first 24-hour cable news channel. The network wrote yesterday, “Turner was also an internationally known yachtsman; a philanthropist who founded the United Nations Foundation; an activist who sought the worldwide elimination of nuclear weapons; and a conservationist who became one of the foremost landowners in the United States.” Turner was married and divorced three times. He endorsed Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. He was also known for making derogatory remarks about Christians and pro-lifers.  In a July 1989 Los Angeles Times article, Ted Turner called pro-lifers “bozos” and laughably claimed that pro-lifers believe that “sex was sinful.”  He also said, “A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.” More GenZers claim to be Christians and read their Bibles And finally, Dr. George Barna released new research on the spirituality of Gen Z, the youngest adult generation in America. The report found that more members of the generation are claiming to be Christians. That figure is up five percentage points over the past four years. Similarly, weekly Bible reading is up 10 percentage points.  However, Gen Z also has the lowest biblical worldview level of any American generation.  Dr. Barna said, “Our research indicates that many young adults are seeking an authentic Christian experience, initially through religious practices, such as attending church services. Many of them are attempting to evaluate what Christianity has to offer without understanding the biblical principles that promote and support those religious practices.” Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, May 7th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. It's Thursday, March 26th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Christian ministries to send millions of Bibles into Iran Christian ministries are gearing up to send millions of Bibles into Iran.  The country's Islamic regime persecutes Christians for sharing their faith or even privately owning a Bible. However, Bible smuggling teams are praying for new doors to open despite the war. Dirk Smith, Vice President at Eastern European Mission, spoke to CBN News. He compared this moment in Iran to the opportunity right before the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. Listen. SMITH: “Our prayer is that we're prepared. We're ready to go. And that was what happened when the wall came down in 89 the opportunity came, and when we pray, God will open those doors. That's what happened when the wall came down with the Soviet Union, we were able to walk in and distribute hundreds of thousands  of Bibles.” In Colossians 4:2-3, the Apostle Paul wrote, “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ.” Iran rejected peace deal with America Iran rejected a peace plan from the United States yesterday to pause the war in the Middle East. The conflict began nearly a month ago when the U.S. and Israel carried out strikes on the country. The Associated Press reports the death toll has reached over 1,500 people in Iran, over 1,000 in Lebanon, 16 in Israel, and 13 U.S. military members.  The U.S. is sending more troops to the region in what could become a ground assault.  U.S. Supreme Court rules for Mississippi street preacher In the United States, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of a street preacher last Friday. Gabriel Olivier is an evangelical Christian who desires to share his faith with others. OLIVIER: “I was arrested outside of a concert amphitheater arena for preaching the Gospel on a public sidewalk.” However, the City of Brandon, Mississippi passed an ordinance to effectively silence his evangelism. Sadly, lower courts sided with the city. He even faced arrest under the ordinance.  The Supreme Court's ruling now allows Olivier to go back to trial in the lower courts to challenge the city ordinance.  He celebrated the ruling. OLIVIER: “The Supreme Court has ruled unanimously, 9-0 in our favor. And I just wanted to say thank you to first and foremost, the Lord, for answering our prayers. I also thank you for First Liberty, for representing me, helping me along the way, and doing such a great job. Thank you to all those who support First Liberty with your donations. That is a wonderful contribution to help the case of religious freedom here in our nation.” He added, "Now all people with deeply held Christian religious beliefs who are called to share the Good News can do so in the public arena.” Psalm 119:46 says, “I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.” Late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who killed born babies, died The infamous abortionist Kermit Gosnell  died at a hospital earlier this month, according to prison officials in Pennsylvania. He was 85. Gosnell was serving three life sentences for killing three babies -- after they were born alive. Shockingly, after complete delivery, Gosnell would jab scissors into the back of a baby's neck and then cut the baby's spinal cord. Gosnell called the killing of these children “snipping.”  Steven Massof, a former Gosnell employee, said the so-called “snipping” is really “like a beheading,” reported the Baptist Press. Gosnell likely killed thousands of babies in this manner. Not surprisingly, his abortion mill became known as the “House of Horrors.” Listen to a portion of the trailer to the 2018 movie called “Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer.” POLICEMAN 1: “Philadelphia Police Department: We have a search warrant.” POLICEMAN 2: “What is that smell?” POLICEMAN 3: “Man, you got to see this.” DETECTIVE JAMES WOOD:  “I've never been in an abortion clinic before. So far, we've found over 30 of them. [aborted babies in the abortion mill]. A healthy woman goes into a clinic, comes out dead, and there's no police report?” COURT OFFICIAL: “Prosecution has offered you a plea bargain, Dr Gosnell.” GOSNELL: “Then I would have to admit I was guilty. I'm not guilty!” PROESECUTOR: “When was the last time your division inspected Dr. Gosnell's [abortion] clinic?” INSPECTOR: “We had instructions, directly from [Republican] Governor [Tom] Ridge's office, not to inspect.” NURSE LEXY McGUIRE: “Nothing that man did protects women or children. And you don't have to be a pro-life activist to see that.” DISTRICT ATTORNEY DAN MOLINARI: “Kermit Gosnell is perhaps the most prolific serial killer in American history. You better win!” Watch the trailer for the movie “Gosnell.” Proverbs 6:16-19 describes the seven things that God hates, including “hands that shed innocent blood.” Maria Gallagher, executive director of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, told LifeNews, “We continue to grieve the loss of the babies and women who fell victim to Gosnell's violent crime spree. And we hold out hope that the lessons learned from Gosnell's reign of terror will not be forgotten.” Democrats won special election in Florida Democrats won a special election on Tuesday in South Florida. Democrat Emily Gregory defeated Republican Jon Maples to win the state House District 87 seat. She won by only 800 votes or about two percentage points.  The district is home to President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence.  The Associated Press reports, “Gregory's victory is the latest example of how Democrats have flipped seats in a series of special elections that could be a sign of momentum in a midterm election year that will provide a political verdict on Trump's second term.” Christians are weak on abortion, marriage and family And finally, Dr. George Barna released his latest report on the worldview of Americans. Notably, the majority of U.S. adults—ranging from 68% to 82%—lack Biblical alignment in essential areas of worldview beliefs and behaviors. This is even more common among younger generations.  The weakest worldview category for Americans, even committed Christians, is social issues such as marriage, family, and the sanctity of life. Dr. Barna noted, “Very few adults presently own a biblical worldview. But the survey also shows that with some commitment and very focused mentoring, millions of Americans could certainly develop a Biblical worldview.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, March 26th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. It's Thursday, March 5th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 9 Nigerian Muslims on trial for killing 200 Christians Nine Fulani Muslim herdsmen are on trial in Nigeria for participating in the massacre of over 200 Christians in the country last year. Christian Daily International reports this is a rare case of prosecution against the Fulani herdsmen. The prosecution comes as the United States is calling on the country to combat Christian persecution. The U.S. is considering a bilateral agreement with Nigeria to protect Christian communities there and eliminate jihadist terror.  Psalm 7:9 says, “Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just; for the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.”  Nigerian Anglicans reject the homosexual agenda of Church of England Speaking of Nigeria, the Global Anglican Future Conference is meeting this week in the West African country.  The movement of conservative Anglican churches, mainly in Africa and Asia, supports Biblical sexuality. The group has effectively broken off from the Anglican Communion led by the Church of England.  Sarah Mullally is set to become the first female archbishop of Canterbury in the Church of England. Sadly, she supports blessings for homosexual couples.  The Global Anglican Future Conference now plans on appointing its own leader who will represent Biblical values. The conservative group says it represents 85 percent of the world's practicing Anglicans. Christian teacher vindicated for refusing to say inaccurate pronouns In the United States, an Indiana school district agreed to pay $650,000 in a religious freedom lawsuit. Brownsburg Community School Corporation forced John Kluge, a Christian music teacher, to resign for not using biologically incorrect pronouns.  David Cortman with Alliance Defending Freedom commented on the case. He said, “After almost five and a half years, common sense has prevailed at Brownsburg. … Schools should learn that refusing to accommodate religious employees can be illegal and expensive.” Red state families having more babies than blue state families The Institute for Family Studies reports that the women in red states are birthing more babies than those in blue states since the COVID-19 pandemic. The 20 states that voted Democrat in 2024 saw a decline in people in their 20s and kids under 10 compared to 2019. Meanwhile, Republican-leaning states often had cheaper housing and tended to attract parents with young kids. States like Idaho, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee saw a 10% increase in married families with young children over the last five years. States like California, New York, and Illinois saw a decline in such families.  Trump cut federal workforce by 12% The federal government's civilian workforce shrunk by over 380,000 people during the first year of President Donald Trump's second term.   That's a 12% workforce reduction between September 2024 and January 2026. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management reported the numbers yesterday. Scott Kupor, the director of the agency, said, “This effort ensures taxpayer dollars support a workforce that delivers efficient, responsive and high-quality services.” Mortgage rate fell to 5.98% Mortgage rates fell below six percent for the first time in years. The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell to 5.98 percent last week. It has not been that low since September 2022. Recent rates peaked at 7.8 percent in October 2023. Mortgage rates have been coming down slowly since the Federal Reserve began cutting its benchmark interest rate last year.  Only 4% of American adults have Biblical worldview And finally, Dr. George Barna released his latest survey on Biblical worldview. Sadly, only four percent of U.S. adults have a Biblical worldview. That's unchanged compare to 2023 and down from 12 percent in 1994. Most Americans, over eight in ten, may believe some Biblical principles but often think and live in ways that conflict with the Bible. Also, only two percent of young adults have a Biblical worldview. The survey noted, “Despite the increased attention given to faith matters after the Charlie Kirk murder, and the growth in church attendance and individuals purchasing Bibles immediately after that incident, there is no hint of improvement when it comes to Biblical worldview.” However, Dr. Barna wrote, “We reached a low point—4%— in 2023. The fact that we have not plumbed new depths since then hopefully suggests that we have bottomed out and are in line to experience positive growth in biblical thought and action.” Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, March 5th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. February 15, 2026 - Sunday PM Sermon In this episode we open to Deuteronomy chapter 4 and hear a sermon exploring Moses as the Bible-class teacher to Israel. The speaker grounds the message in Moses' final charge (Deut. 4:1–9) and connects it to the importance of Bible teaching today, illustrating how Scripture preserves, equips, and protects God's people. We also pause to share a prayer request for Georgia Hudson and celebrate a Teacher's Appreciation Banquet featuring guest speaker Bud Woodall, who directed listeners to Jesus' example in Mark 10:13–16. Key themes covered include: the eternal value of what teachers teach (preservation, possession, protection), the transferability of truth from one generation to the next (Moses' charge to teach children and grandchildren, Paul's instruction to Timothy), and the tangibility of sound teaching (do not add to or take away God's Word; be active, balanced, and watchful in applying Scripture). Practical measures for spiritual growth are discussed — time spent studying, applying the Word, and sharing it with others. The episode mixes theology with practical encouragement and vivid illustrations — from the Jericho lesson and a gingerbread wall anecdote to sobering research from George Barna on biblical literacy — to show why Bible classrooms matter. Listeners will hear a call to renewed enthusiasm for teaching and learning, guidance for making lessons come alive, and an appeal for legacy-minded discipleship: teach faithfully so others can teach as well. Finally, the speaker issues a clear invitation: anyone needing to respond to the gospel — to believe, repent, confess, and be baptized — or to return to fellowship and prayer is invited to respond now. Expect encouragement for teachers, challenges for students, practical application points, and heartfelt pastoral care in this episode.   Handout:   I. Are today's kids ministries actually helping—or unintentionally hurting—the faith of the next generation?Today I'm joined by family ministry veteran Dr. Josh Mulvihill for a candid, biblically grounded conversation about seven key problems in modern kids and youth ministry and why Christians can no longer afford to ignore them.Drawing from Scripture, church history, and current research, Josh challenges some of the most unquestioned assumptions in evangelical churches today, such as age-segregated worship, attractional entertainment models, and the growing confusion between the church's role and parents' God-given responsibility to disciple their children. This conversation is not a hit piece on kids ministry. Both of us love and support children's and youth ministry when they're aligned with Scripture. Instead, we hope this episode will be a wake-up call for parents, pastors, grandparents, and church leaders to evaluate how their churches can better reach the next generation. From abortion and sexuality to Scripture's authority, this data should be a wake-up call for Christians who want to stand for truth in today's culture of chaos.

Two decisions hit Washington this week that could have massive consequences for families nationwide. On the judicial front, the Supreme Court is weighing whether states can protect women’s sports. At the same time, Congress is debating the extension of Obamacare subsidies, this time without Hyde Amendment protections for the unborn. Aaron, David, and Mike explain what’s at stake in these two major ideological battles. After the news, Dr. David Closson joins the podcast to unpack new survey data from George Barna and the Family Research Council, revealing a troubling gap inside America’s churches. While many regular churchgoers say they want clear biblical teaching on issues like abortion, sexuality, and religious freedom, foundational Christian beliefs about God, sin, and salvation are rapidly eroding. When churches go silent, culture fills the gap. Barna’s research shows that all seven “cornerstones” of a biblical worldview are in decline, even among committed believers. David explains what’s driving this collapse, why it matters for the Church’s witness, and what pastors and Christians must do to reclaim biblical clarity in an increasingly confused culture. TAKE ACTION Now is the moment to speak up using CCV.org. Through our Action Center, you can quickly contact Senators Moreno and Husted to encourage them to defend the Hyde Amendment. The process takes less than a minute! Call on Ohio's US Senator Moreno and US Senator Husted to oppose taxpayer-funded abortion in any “deal” on Obamacare subsidies. More About Dr. David Closson David Closson, Ph.D., serves as the Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at Family Research Council, where he researches, writes, and speaks about life, human sexuality, religious liberty, and related issues from a biblical worldview. Tuesday, 6 January 2026   Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. Matthew 15:28   “Then, Jesus answering, He said to her, ‘O! Woman, your faith is great! It become to you as you determine.' And she's cured, her daughter, from that hour” (CG).   In the previous verse, the Canaanite woman agreed with the Lord's assessment concerning bread going to the children, but she noted that even the puppies got the crumbs from the table. With that, we next read, “Then, Jesus answering, He said to her, ‘O! Woman, your faith is great!'”   These words are not because of her astute assessment of the workings of a household. Rather, her note concerning crumbs being sufficient for the great miracle she requested in the healing of her daughter is what set her apart. How unlike Naaman the Syrian, who misunderstood God's workings and capabilities –   “Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the door of Elisha's house. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, ‘Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.' 11 But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, ‘Indeed, I said to myself, “He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.” 12 Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?' So he turned and went away in a rage.” 2 Kings 5:9-12   Naaman was looking for something great and exciting as a means of healing his servant. This Canaanite woman asked for no such thing. She was observant of how things worked in a house. In hearing Jesus' words concerning His mission, she was able to take the two and conclude how things must work in God's economy.   In other words, “If God has a plan and purpose for the lost sheep (a metaphor) of Israel, and that purpose is to provide bread to the children (another metaphor), then He must be dealing with Israel in a way which reflects those metaphors.”   Astute, yes, but her faith is in understanding that bread, no matter how small the amount, would crumble off and be uneaten when it was broken. And more, that teeny amount of bread would be sufficient to tend to her needs.   Understanding this, Jesus next says, “It become to you as you determine.” The woman had asked in faith, Jesus accepted her request, and from there His words noted that as she determined, so it would come about. Just as when a person calls out for spiritual healing, the physical healing was to be realized for her daughter. This is noted in Matthew's closing words, “And she's cured, her daughter, from that hour.”   The woman determined that healing her daughter was what she desired. Jesus responded accordingly, and her daughter was immediately healed. Concerning salvation, Paul says –   “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.” Ephesians 1:13   Life application: The word repent has been so thoroughly abused from its original meaning that there is no longer any sense of what God expects of His people in order to be saved. See if you think these words from George Barna match what Paul says concerning salvation as noted in Ephesians 1 –   “Tens of millions of people who attend Christian churches every week, and who consider themselves to be followers of Christ and eternally secure, do not seem to understand that repentance is necessary for salvation, and repentance demands a change in behavior.” He stressed that “repentance is not merely sorrow over misdeeds” but “must include a determined effort to change both mind and actions to avoid committing the same sins in the future.”   The answer is that not only do they not match what Paul says, but they are heretical. The gospel says that we come to Jesus with nothing but faith. If we need to change our actions before salvation, then it means that our salvation is up to us, not to Jesus Christ.   This woman was not told, “Ok, then you need to go get medicine and administer it to your daughter three times a day, and she will be healed.” This is essentially what George Barna is saying concerning the woman's faith, which would not be sufficient at all to heal her daughter.   The Greek word translated as repent is metanoeó. It means to “think differently.” That may lead to action, but action is not a part of what the word means. If we have to go beyond a mental assertion that we need a Savior and that Jesus can save us, then we have merited our salvation. This is not the gospel.   However, it is what almost all preachers in the world present to their congregations, week after week. Instead, we come to Jesus needing a Savior. We believe that He can save us. Jesus saves us. From that time, we should have actions worthy of our repentance. Even Jesus said that in Luke 3:8 to the people of Israel while still under the law.   We must keep our theological boxes separate, or we will fall into contradiction, legalism, or full-blown heresy. Be circumspect in your soteriology (doctrine of salvation), never crossing the lines of the beautiful gospel that Jesus has presented to the people of the world.   Lord God, give us the wisdom to consider what You have done and of what You expect us in relation to salvation. May we never tread on Your ground, attempting to earn what has already been provided by Jesus. May our hearts be trusting in Him alone for reconciliation to You. To Your glory, we pray. Amen.

(Contact@eanvoiceit.com) Christian Institute Proposed Street Preacher Charter. Officials in the U.K. are increasingly targeting Christians who express their faith in public. In response, the Christian Institute launched its new “Street Preacher's Charter” in Parliament last week. The document defends the rights of street preachers in England and Wales. The wrongful arrest of a Scottish preacher in 2022 inspired the charter. Mike Judge, a trustee of The Christian Institute, said, “This Charter is a timely shield for those who dare to speak — and a timely corrective for a society tempted to silence them.” U.K. Street Preacher Acquitted A jury in the U.K. acquitted a street preacher recently. The case began after a Muslim family reported street preacher Shaun O'Sullivan to authorities. Officials charged him with religiously aggravated intentional harassment. However, O'Sullivan testified in court that he simply preaches the Gospel in public after being saved from a life of crime and violence. Andrea Williams with the Christian Legal Centre said, “This was another example of police overreach . . . The acquittal is . . . a reminder of the fragile state of fundamental freedoms in our country right now.” When commanded not to preach, the apostles said in Acts 4:19-20, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak about the things which we have seen and heard.” Christian Universities to Launch Outreach to Europe One of the largest Christian universities in the United States is launching outreach to Europe to counter the rise of secularism there. Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia is now offering over 600 online degrees to students in Europe.  Lucian Mustata is Liberty's European representative for the project. He told Christian Daily International, “we need to invest in the next generation. In the long term, secularism grows in Europe because we're not investing in teenagers and the next generation with Christian values. It's very important to have Christian education in Europe.” Trump Designates the Muslim Brotherhood as Terrorist Organization On Monday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to designate certain chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations.  The organization was founded in 1928 with chapters across the Middle East. Last week, Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott similarly designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. He said the goal of the group is to “forcibly impose Sharia law . . . These radical extremists are not welcome in our state and are now prohibited from acquiring any real property interest in Texas.”  This coming on the heels of a report released called The Muslim Brotherhood Strategic Entryism into the United States.  Chris Mitchell from CBN News has more concerning this report. MITCHELL: “And what it does, and why this is so significant – it exposes a generational strategy to impose Shariah Law on the United States. They call it “a civilizational struggle,” and it's based on four pillars. One is influencing public policy. Two, influencing legal strategies, and what that tries to do is minimize criticism of Islam and turn that into charges of Islamphobia and charges of discrimination. Number three is infiltration of institutions – charities, universities, schools, and even to influence Middle East studies in those universities. And, four is to control the narrative through the medium, to shake the public debate. A key issue in this is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We've heard charges of Palestine, from the river to the sea, globalize the Intifadah. That puts it in context, is what they're trying to do is just influence media, the society, and then just introduce, in a gradual way, Shariah Law.” Planned Parenthood Forced to Shut Down Centers Due to Financial Strain Planned Parenthood announced yesterday it is closing one of its locations in Ohio. The abortion giant has now closed 45 centers so far this year. Many closures are due to the Trump administration's support for defunding abortion providers. A recent report from Planned Parenthood admits, “Already buckling under immense financial strain due to our country's frayed and underfunded public health system, Planned Parenthood health centers across the country are being pushed to the brink.” New Survey Concerning the Understanding of Salvation is Released by Barna Dr. George Barna released his latest research on the worldview of Americans. The survey found most U.S. adults say eternal salvation demands a blend of works and grace. For example, one-third of Americans who call themselves “born-again” believe good people can earn salvation. And nearly half of Americans believe they will earn their way into Heaven by being generally good or doing enough good deeds. Dr. Barna noted, “There remains a shocking degree of misunderstanding among Christians regarding sin, repentance, forgiveness, and salvation.” Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Bible Sales Surge This Year And finally, mainstream media outlets are noting this year's surge in Bible sales. The Associated Press reports Americans have purchased over 18 million Bibles this year.  Brenna Connor with Circana BookScan told Religion News Service, “Sales for Bibles have been steadily growing in the U.S. since 2021 and have set unprecedented annual sales records since 2022. 2024 marked a 20-year high for Bible sales in the U.S., and 2025 is on track to surpass these levels, underscoring the growing interest in religious content among U.S. consumers.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, November 26th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. It's Thursday, November 20th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Muslims in Congo killed 17 patients in a Christian hospital Sheer evil has struck Africa again. Last Friday, Muslim militants with the Allied Democratic Forces killed 17 people at a Christian hospital in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.  The armed rebels killed patients in their hospital beds, including women who were nursing their babies. Such civilian massacres are becoming more common in the Christian-majority area. Congo is ranked 35th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most dangerous countries to be a Christian. Open Doors' profile for the country notes, “Allied with the Islamic State group, the [Allied Democratic Forces] abduct and kill Christians and attack churches, leading to widespread terror, insecurity and displacement.” European Court of Human Rights denied rights of unborn humans The European Court of Human Rights  ruled in favor of abortion last week, denying the rights of unborn humans. The case began when a woman wanted to get an abortion in Poland after discovering her baby had a genetic disorder. However, Poland's Constitutional Tribunal had struck down abortion on the basis of disability.  So, the woman travelled abroad for an abortion and challenged Poland's decision. The European court ruled against Poland in the case. Dr. Felix Böllmann with Alliance Defending Freedom International warned, “This judgment sends a troubling signal that the Court is again willing to overstep its role. The Court should return to its original mission of protecting genuine human rights, not inventing false ones.” Isaiah 10:1-2 says, “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed to rob the needy of justice ... that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless.” U.S. pregnancy centers are seeing growth In the United States, pregnancy centers are seeing growth in recent years. The Charlotte Lozier Institute released its 2025 National Pregnancy Center Report. The study found 2,775 pregnancy centers provided over $452 million in care, education, and material goods to families in 2024. The centers also saw over one million new clients for the first time last year. That's the equivalent of each location serving a new client every day! The phase out of the unnecessary Department of Education The U.S. Department of Education announced Tuesday it is handing off major responsibilities to other federal agencies. This is part of the Trump administration's plan to close the department.  The plan transfers major programs to the Departments of Labor, Interior, State as well as Health and Human Services. Listen to comments from U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. MCMAHON: “The announcement really follows the plan that President Trump has had since Day 1, and that is returning education to the states.  He fully believes, as do I, the best education is that that is closest to the child, and not one run from a bureaucracy in Washington D.C.” Only 11% of U.S. churchgoers have Biblical worldview Christian researcher Dr. George Barna released his latest survey on the worldview of Americans, specifically regular churchgoers. The report found only 11% of churchgoers have a Biblical worldview. Only 54% say the Bible is the inspired, error-free Word of God. About 50% or less believe the Bible speaks clearly on moral issues. And 32% of churchgoers now prefer socialism over capitalism. Dr. David Closson, Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council, commented on the study.  He said, “The answer to these trends is not despair, but a return to the faithful proclamation of God's Word. We must help Christians connect their zeal for God with the knowledge of God, as Scripture commands in Romans 10:2.” That verse says, “For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.” WalMart CEO and Berkshire Hathaway CEO retire And finally, CEOs of U.S. companies are leaving at record rates this year. This comes as many executives are reaching retirement age. For example, 59-year-old Doug McMillion will retire from being CEO of Walmart next year after leading the retailer's growth for over a decade.  In another case, 95-year-old Warren Buffett is stepping down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway this year. After 60 years in leadership, the renowned investor sent out his final letter to shareholders last week.  In his final thoughts, Buffett wrote, “Greatness does not come about through accumulating great amounts of money. When you help someone in any of thousands of ways, you help the world. Kindness is costless but also priceless. Whether you are religious or not, it's hard to beat The Golden Rule as a guide to behavior.” Buffett's billions funded millions of abortions Too bad Buffet has not used his resources to treat the unborn children in the womb with such Golden Rule kindness. Instead, the Media Research Center reported that Buffett's grants to abortion groups through the Buffett Foundation totaled at least $1.3 billion between 1989 and 2012. (The tax returns from 1997 to 2000 were missing.)  The New York Times reported, “Most of the [Buffet] Foundation's spending goes to abortion and contraception.”  Buffett's biographer describes him as having “a Malthusian dread” of population growth among the poor. And the Buffett Foundation's spending in this area was accelerating rapidly as the 2000s unfolded. Beneficiaries of Buffett's deadly giving include $300 million for abortion giant Planned Parenthood as well as millions more for the National Abortion Rights Action League, the National Abortion Federation, Catholics for a Free Choice, Abortion Access Project, Population Council, Marie Stopes International, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and dozens of other pro-abortion advocates. In addition, the Buffett Foundation gave money that was instrumental in creating the abortion drug RU-486 and pushing it through clinical trials. Tragically, 63% of mothers who abort in America today use this deadly drug to kill their babies. I've been thinking a lot about a question we don't ask nearly enough: What does it really mean to be a Christian? George Barna's recent research reminded me that while many people call themselves Christian, very few actually hold to the core biblical beliefs that define a Christian worldview. This Sunday, we'll start looking at three of those beliefs: that absolute moral truth exists, the Bible is accurate in all the principles it teaches, and Satan is a real being.  Where to begin? In a world where people often say, “That's your truth, not mine,” we need to remember that God alone defines what is right and wrong, and His truth never changes based on our feelings or culture. We'll also dig into why we can't trust human reason or personal happiness alone to guide us. History and Scripture make this clear: even our best intentions can be flawed because of sin. We'll touch on examples from philosophy and history, and more importantly, we'll see what God's Word says about how our hearts and minds need His guidance. The Bible provides a firm foundation, a moral compass we can trust, and a standard for life that remains constant, unaffected by the latest trends. We'll also be examining our own lives. Are we building on God's truth, or are we relying on our own opinions and cultural influences? We'll talk about practical ways to live out a biblical worldview, recognizing that sin, Satan, and spiritual battle are real, and that God equips us to stand firm.

(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark European anti-Christian hate crimes are overlooked The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe released a new report on anti-Christian crimes in Europe. The survey found such crimes are downplayed, under-reported, or politically overlooked. Anti-Christian hate crimes include vandalism, harassment, threats, physical assaults, and even murder.  The report noted, “Religion-related or religion-inspired violence may also stem from the perception of Christianity as a rival, inferior or adversarial faith . . . For example, some forms of violent ‘extremist' rhetoric portray Christians as ‘infidels' and ‘enemies of Islam' who must be subdued.” Converts from Islam to Christianity in Europe, especially women, were particularly at risk of violence or threats from family members.   Messianic Christian ministry seeing Israelis coming to Christ This month is the two-year anniversary of the October 7th attack on Israel by Hamas, the Muslim terrorist organization Since then, Israelis have been turning to God during the ongoing war.  A new study found that the personal religiosity and spirituality of Jewish-Israeli students increased over the last two years.  Christian ministries in particular are seeing an uptick in interest. ONE FOR ISRAEL is a group devoted to bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Israelis. The ministry noted, “We have received a huge number of messages from seekers, exploring faith, and seen many come to faith during the war. We have mailed out hundreds of copies of the New Testament.” In Romans 1:16, the Apostle Paul wrote, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” J.D. Vance in Israel: Ceasefire will hold U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance visited Israel on Tuesday. He met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem yesterday. Vance expressed optimism at a press conference that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas would hold. Listen. VANCE: “A lot of our Israeli friends working together with a lot of Americans to actually mediate this entire ceasefire process, to get some of the critical infrastructure off the ground from the international security force so the reconstruction of Gaza. It's not easy. I never said it was easy, but what I am is optimistic that the ceasefire is going to hold, and that we can actually build a better future in the entire Middle East.” U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that if Hamas violates their agreement, “an end to Hamas will be FAST, FURIOUS, & BRUTAL!” New North Carolina U.S. congressional map could help GOP In the United States, North Carolinian lawmakers approved a new congressional map yesterday. The revised map could help Republicans pick up an additional seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.  President Trump is encouraging GOP-led states to redistrict ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Texas and Missouri have already redrawn their U.S. House districts.  Barna: Americans don't believe drunkenness, gambling, & Sabbath-breaking are sinful Dr. George Barna, the Christian researcher, released his latest report on the worldview of Americans. The survey asked people about 12 specific behaviors, traditionally considered sinful. The study found a majority of U.S. adults still believe six of the behaviors are sinful. Those include lying or manipulating, abusing God's name, idol worship, sex outside marriage, pornography use, and illegal drug use. Respondents were split on three of the behaviors—abortion, sexual fantasies, and cheating on taxes.  And Americans dismissed the final three behaviors as not sinful—drunkenness, gambling, and Sabbath-breaking. The study identified three increasingly influential groups in American society: the adult portion of Gen Z, atheists and agnostics, and the Asian-American population. Dr. Barna noted, “Together, a majority of those groups approve of lying for personal benefit, sex on demand, abortion, idolatry, and various lifestyle vices.” Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.” Iceland lost its mosquito-free status And finally, Iceland just lost its mosquito-free status. Björn Hjaltason, an insect enthusiast, found three mosquitos in his garden last week.  Matthías Alfreðsson, an entomologist at the Icelandic Institute of Natural History, confirmed they were mosquitoes of the species Culiseta annulata.   It's the first time scientists have confirmed mosquito findings in the wild in Iceland. However, it remains to be seen if they can survive the winter there. In January and February, the average temperature is 28 degrees. Hjaltason told The Iceland Monitor the experience was quite exciting, “Yes, it's always fun to discover something new.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, October 23rd, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com). Send us a textGuest: Dr. George Barna, Director of Research, Cultural Research Center, Arizona Christian UniversityThe Bible says that in the time of the judges in Israel, “every man did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6). That is another way of saying the people were flagrantly breaking God's laws and rationalizing their sin. Scripture is clear that all men and women are sinners by nature and by choice. For example, Romans 3 says:“for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one” (Romans 3:9-12).Considering all the hate, murder, lying, lusting, stealing, coveting, envying, immorality, blasphemy, oppression, and much more that marks our world, it may seem surprising that Americans don't see themselves as sinners but as basically good, and thus, do what is right in their own eyes.In a recent survey released by George Barna, Director of Research at the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, “only half of all American adults (52%) believe that everyone has sinned…and even among theologically-defined born-again Christians, one in four denies personal guilt of sin.” What's more, “among self-identified Christians, 72% believe that people are “basically good at heart.”This is troubling and egregious error, especially by those who profess to be part of the church. Today on the program, George Barna joins us to discuss the changing view of sin by Americans and Christians and what has led to it. We will also discuss why conviction over one's sin is so important because it shows us our need for the only remedy.------------------------------------RELATED RESOURCES:Report #9: Research Identifies Common Sources of Confusion about Sin Report #8: Millions of American Christians Deny Their Sinfulness

It's Tuesday, October 14th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Chinese Communists detain dozens of leaders of unregistered church The American State Department has condemned the Chinese Communist Party's recent detention of dozens of Christian leaders of the unregistered house Zion Church in Beijing. The arrests included the prominent Chinese Pastor Mingri “Ezra” Jin.  Zion Church includes 10,000 people from at least 40 Chinese cities -- making it  one of the largest house churches in China.   Secretary of State Marco Rubio is calling on the Communists to “immediately release the detained church leaders and to allow all people of faith, including members of house churches, to engage in religious activities without fear of retribution.”   Pastor Jin's son-in-law, Bill Drexel of the Hudson Institute, called the arrests “the most extensive attack on a Chinese church in four decades.” Trump rolls out additional 100% tariff on Chinese imports Speaking of China, U.S. President Donald Trump has announced an additional 100% tariff on all Chinese imports, above and beyond current rates. It will become effective on November 1st. This would raise tariff rates on Chinese imports to at least 155%. The Trump tariffs have not damaged Chinese exports much so far this year.  . .  Official numbers released yesterday indicate a 4% increase on total Chinese exports for the year. This occurred despite a 19% drop in US imports from China year-to-date. The U.S. makes up only 14% of Chinese exports. Israeli leader compares Trump to Cyrus the Great Celebrating the end of the recent war in the Middle East, President Donald Trump talked to the Israeli Parliament yesterday, reports the Times of Israel. Listen, TRUMP: “This is not only the end of a war; this is the end of an age of terror and death and the beginning of the age of faith and hope and of God. “It's the start of a grand concord and lasting harmony for Israel and all the nations of what will soon be a truly magnificent region. I believe that so strongly. This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East.” This comes as the Israeli-Hamas War ends and the twenty remaining living Israeli hostages were returned to their families. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu  thanked President Trump for his support of Israel. NETANYAHU:  “The American-Israeli Alliance has never been as strong as it is now. The President has been an outstanding global leader. He's really transforming the world to better all of us. And I can again repeat what I've said time and time again: He's the greatest friend that Israel has ever had in the White House.” And Amir Ohana, the Speaker of the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament, also spoke in glowing terms. OHANA: “Mr. President, you stand before the people of Israel not as another American president, but as a giant of Jewish history -- one for whom we must look back two and a half millennia, into the mists of time, to find a parallel: Cyrus the Great. “You, President Donald J. Trump, are a colossus who will be enshrined in the pantheon of history. Thousands of years from now, Mr. President, the Jewish people will remember you.” Keep in mind, Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6-7 says, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end.“ The conservative Global Methodist Church has drawn 6,000 churches The more conservative Global Methodist Church now has 6,000 congregations worldwide, about 80% of which are in the United States.     That compares with about 29,000 congregations participating in the more pro-homosexual United Methodist Church. Barna: 20% fewer churchgoers identify as pro-life Christian researcher George Barna revealed devastating news this weekend. The pollster found that the percentage of American churchgoers identified  as pro-life has dropped off from 63% to 43% in just the last two years. The largest decline of pro-life commitment occurred among Evangelical churches — an incredible 33% decline!   Churchgoers claiming to be pro-abortion increased from 22% to 35% over the same two years.   Yet, at the same time, 75% of churchgoers believe that God is the author of life, and 83% say they believe that every human has value and dignity. The report also found that 49% of Gen Z churchgoers are in favor of homosexual faux marriage. Among the nearly nine in 10 Americans who self-identify as Christian, the most common types of Christian church they attend are Catholic at 39%, mainline Protestant at 20%), Evangelical at 18%, independent or non-denominational Christian at 9%, and Pentecostal/charismatic at 4%. Of American churchgoers surveyed, 34% claim to be conservative, and 20% claim to be liberal. Jesus said, “You are the salt of the Earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” (Matthew 5:13) Gold up 54% within the year Metals have become the preferred go-to for investors, or those who are out to preserve capital. Over the last month, gold is up 11% and silver is up 17%, while Bitcoin and the Nasdaq have been about even over the same time frame. Year-to-date, gold is up 54%! Experts point to the Fed's monetary easing, sluggish economic growth, rising inflation, and geopolitical instabilities as contributing to the trend.  Central banks fighting inflation Central banks worldwide are fighting inflation by reducing their Quantitative easing to tightening, from a peak of $38.6 trillion in 2022 to $29.5 trillion today.  These numbers are still up from $12 trillion back in 2009. The world inflation rate has dropped from 8.6% in 2022 to about 5% today. By contrast, between 2010 and 2020, the world inflation rate was running at 3.5% Government shutdown in 14th day And finally, the U.S. government shutdown enters its 14th day today.   The longest shutdown in history occurred in 2018, over a period of 35 days. About half of the 3,000,000 people on the federal payroll are out of work —or at least are foregoing a paycheck. About 750,000 federal employees have been furloughed. However, the Government Employee Fair Treatment Act of 2019 will ensure that all federal employees receive back pay for the shutdown period, if the government reopens for business sometime in the future. A newly issued report from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University reveals striking contradictions and confusion in how Americans view sin, its causes, and its consequences, explains Dr. George Barna to Alex Newman on The Sentinel Report. While four out of five U.S. adults say they believe in the existence of sin, far fewer believe all people sin—and even fewer admit that they, personally, are sinners. The study concludes that only one out of seven adults (14%) holds a consistently biblical view of sin.
