Welcome To November 2Legs Listeners! For our first new show of the month we revisit a series we did a few weeks back called "Divided Albums." This time we chose that oft-neglected and overlooked Spring 1976 LP Wings at The Speed of Sound. This album routinely ranks pretty low in the Macca/Wings canon by most fans/critics because of its paint by numbers democratic approach. Despite having two huge hit singles in 'Silly Love Songs' (US #1) and 'Let 'Em In' (US #3). Which makes the album kind of an anomaly in his career. We both think it's a fine album but in the career of Paul McCartney some albums will naturally outshine others. Does it divide the fanbase? Probably. How do you rank the tracks and the album overall? Let us know in the comments! Peace! Andy and Tom

It's Olympics week, and since we've been following heavily on some of Pearl Jam's past European shows lately, why not add one more into the fold to keep the theme alive? This show from Vienna is like running a marathon as the band treats us to nearly 3 hours of an excellent 35-song set. Everything was on the table here as they dipped into songs from nearly every album, including many of the check list songs for all of the serious collectors. The theme for this show? Less talk, more rock. The band wasted no time at the beginning of the show going on a run of eight straight songs to start the show. This was not necessarily a night for chatting, it was a night for amazing bass grooves and solos ala Gossard. We'll talk about how great they both sound at this one and highlight songs such as Hail, Hail and Brain Of J where they both thrived. But the rarities also dominate the night as it's the last time to date that they've played Can't Keep, Rats and the deep Backspacer cut Speed Of Sound is also featured at this show. We also hear some rare covers involved including Rain, Public Image and Needle And The Damage Done. We'll also get into a deep conversation about how meaningful encore 2 sets are outside of creating the party atmosphere to close your night. If someone would've told us a long time ago that humans could travel faster than the speed of sound, we'd nod our heads in disbelief and laugh. Breaking the sound barrier was as mind-boggling as superman's ability to defy gravity. But what if I told you that a man achieved this impossible feat more than 70 years ago? So, who is this guy? How did he manage to travel faster than the speed of sound? Future legend, Charles “Chuck” Yeager, was born in 1923. When he graduated from school, he enrolled in the Army Air Corps. He was great with coordination, and he could carry out almost any task without any difficulty. In March of 1943, he finally got his wings to fly away. Within a year he'd managed to fly more than 270 hours around Europe. In just a few years he'd be able to travel faster than the speed of sound. And, that wasn't an easy task...
