Welcome back to the Neuroscience Meets Social and Emotional Learning Podcast for episode #148 that I'm hoping will expand your thinking, like it did mine, with our next guest, who has worked with Tony Robbins, leaders of Microsoft and IBM and other high-powered executives to elevate states of consciousness, results and high levels of productivity in elite athletes, to regular people, just like you and me. Watch the interview on YouTube here.  Learn more about Dr. Hardt and his Biocybernaut Alpha One Training here https://www.biocybernaut.com/ See past episodes here https://www.achieveit360.com/episodes/  I'm Andrea Samadi, author, and educator from Toronto, Canada, now in Arizona, and like many of our listeners, have been fascinated with learning and understanding the science behind high performance strategies in our schools, sports, and the workplace with ideas that we can all use, understand and implement immediately. This week's guest, Dr. James Hardt, of the Biocybernaut Institute[i], has devoted his life to the study of the electrophysiological basis of advanced spiritual states. He has travelled the globe in pursuit of his research including his visit to India to study advanced Yogis, from Zen Masters to prayer, Dr. Hardt has continued his relentless pursuit of advanced brainwave and meditation connections that allow people to become the best form of themselves that they can be. He believes it's possible to “Change Your Brainwaves and Change Your Life.”[ii] Dr. Hardt's Alpha One Training is you if: You're a high performing CEO/entrepreneur who wants to connect more effectively with your customers, clients, employers, and employees; You are an athlete who wants to access “the zone” on demand, to live in a Flow State, to improve your results, maximize your training, and turbocharge your practice; You are an artist or writer who wants to deepen and strengthen your visionary capacity and create better than ever before from your highest Flow State; You feel like negativity and traumas have been steering your life for years, ruining your health, relationships and finances; You are a dedicated spiritual seeker, but states of mind like bliss, serenity, gratitude and Oneness are something you only read about in books; You want to radically improve your “emotional intelligence” (EQ) and relationship skills for all good reasons: happier marriage, intimate relationships, better parenting or friendships... Let's dive into this new world and uncover what Dr. Hardt believes is the key to improved productivity and results. Welcome Dr. Hardt, it's wonderful to meet you, especially since your offices are in Sedona, AZ, which is just a little over a 2-hour drive from me here in Chandler, AZ. Thank you for being here today. Q1: Dr. Hardt, I am very interested in helping people to use an understanding of their brain for improved results in their personal and professional lives, and just released an episode about the importance of understanding our brain states. Can you give an overview of our brain states, why you think most people are operating in the BETA state, (with high stress) and what happens when we are able to access the ALPHA brain state (where higher levels of productivity are experienced? Q2: I know that Tony Robbins who you have worked with says “There is no problem that can't be solved in Alpha” and until I saw your work, I only knew of accessing this brain state through a daily meditation and mindfulness practice, where we can feel a sense of calmness, inner peace, and increase productivity, but to access these levels, it takes years of daily practice. For people who might want the benefits from the Alpha Brain state (like higher IQ or EQ) can you explain what is the patented neurofeedback training you have developed, more about your programs, and the best way for people listening to learn more? Q3: I know you have worked with some high-level people like we mentioned Tony Robbins, who I was connected to when I worked in the seminar industry with Bob Proctor in the late 1990s. I see you've worked with Michael Beckwith who we worked closely with back then as well. I can understand why people in the peak performance industry would come to see you, in addition to elite athletes who must reach those high levels of performance, but what have you seen with the US Army Special Forces, who are like athletes, but have no off season and often suffer with anxiety and depression for years after their service? How are you able to eliminate emotional trauma by impacting brain waves? Q4: Do you ever have a vision of creating something that people could use without visiting the BioCybernaut Institute in Sedona, or your location in Germany, like a home use device? I ask this because I have been using the Fisher Wallace Brain Stimulator[iii] since I interviewed their CEO earlier this year to improve my sleep, and the other benefits have been helpful as well. Do you ever think you would create something people could use at home? Q5: What's involved with the ALPHA ONE Training for something taking their first look? Q6: Is there anything that's important that you think I have missed to help people to understand the benefits of your training for improved results? Thank you very much Dr. Hardt for speaking with me today. Q2 Which do you think is more interesting - announcing cookie support continuing until at least 2023 or the backtracking on FLoC? Q3 With the “end of cookies” still somewhere on the horizon, does this change anything you're doing now through the end of 2021? Why or why not? Q4 Do you think cookies, or some type of substitute technology, can ever completely go away with the advertising systems we have now? Q5 When you couple this with Apple's ATT (App Tracking Transparency) - do you think this gives Google any kind of advantage over other ad platforms? Q6 Are you seeing impacts from Apple's ATT now that it has been out there for a couple of months? If so, what are you seeing and it is more impactful on some platforms vs. others? Q7 Bigger question - can we do anything to help with data loss? Are you doing anything in your tracking to try to stop data loss now where you can? Increased UTM tagging? Changes in Google Analytics? In this podcast, Tracy talks about ADHD and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria or RSD. Because Tracy doesn’t struggle with RSD she wasn’t that interested in learning about it but once she realized it was the number one requested topic among the women in her Facebook group, she started doing her research. Discover why emotion is not mentioned in the DSM, despite the fact that all experts believe that it is an integral part of ADHD. What do so many of us with ADHD complain about? Short temper Impulsivity Low frustration tolerance Overwhelmed by emotions Overwhelmed by the pain or energy of others Others with ADHD may be unaware of others feelings and may seem to be insensitive Excitability Tracy clarifies that if emotion isn’t mentioned, that means that RSD is also not recognized in the DSM. Learn about the 3 types of mood challenges in ADHD. Discover which one of them is associated exclusively with ADHD. Tracy shares why it’s so difficult for so many women with ADHD to grow up with a positive self-concept and the one thing that is instrumental in success for ADHD women.   Learn the symptoms of Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria and how it got its name. Discover how it looks different depending on whether or not those who experience it internalize or externalize the emotional response. Tracy shares how members in her group describe what RSD feels like and how prevalent it seemed to be among the ADHD women in her group. Discover how RSD can often be misdiagnosed as social phobia, bi-polar disorder and/or depression but how it is different. Tracy talks about how Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria can affect people’s lives and relationships. She also shares a potentially positive side to RSD.   Learn what might help to lesson symptoms of RSD both in the way of medication and psychotherapy. Once Tracy read about the drive to suceed and achieve, it was easy to wonder if perhaps she had RSD. That’s when she took this self-test here. Like all things ADHD it’s all about the degree of impairment. Here are the questions. Choose Often vs. Not Often for each question. Q1: Do you ever experience sudden, intense bouts of rage when your feelings are hurt? Choose Often vs. Not Often for each question Q2: Do you ever experience sudden, intense bouts of depression when your think you have been rejected or criticized? Q3: Are you your own harshest critic? Q4: Do you ever feel anxious in social situations because you assume that no one likes you? Q5: Do you consider yourself a “people pleaser,” often going above and beyond to get on someone’s good side? Q6: Do you ever pass up opportunities or avoid starting projects because you’re afraid you’ll fail? Q7: Have you ever been called “overly sensitive” or a “head case” because of your strong emotional reactions? Q8: Do you often dedicate more time than is necessary to a project or become perfectionistic to make sure your work has no mistakes (and is above reproach)? Q9: Do you ever experience your emotions as a physical sensation, as though you’ve been punched in the chest or physically “wounded?” Q10: Do you ever feel shame about the “lack of control” you have over your emotions? Q11: Before you were diagnosed with ADHD, were you told you might be depressed? Have bipolar disorder? Have a borderline character disorder? Q12: Do you ever shy away from close friendships or romantic relationships, because you worry that if people “know the real you,” they won’t like you? Q13: Do you assume the worst in commonplace interactions — worrying you will be fired every time your boss calls you in to her office, for instance? Q14: Do you regularly think that you cannot go on feeling this way? Q15: Do you ever avoid meeting new people or trying new things because your fear of rejection and criticism is so strong? Podcast Guest: Joao Barbosa & Host: Jai Shukla Q1 – How did you get started in Racing? Joao Barbosa started at the age of 11 - which was the minimum age. Since then he begged his dad to get him a go-kart. A deal was made to get good grades - for a go-kart which he managed and then got. This was back in 1987.   Q2 – How did you get your initial funding? ‘Costs were much lower in those days and my dad helped me buy my first go-kart.’   Q3 – 1980s-2019 How has your viewpoint changed? Grew up watching Formula 1 and wanted to be a driver in that race. Without the funding - it was not really possible. Q4 – Do you think it’s harder to get sponsorship? Gamble in a kid, it’s not like you pick someone at the top when you’re a sponsor.   Q5 – What goes on behind the scenes? 24 hour Daytona coming up. So much work involved especially endurance racers. There is no offseason   Q6 – What is the procedure to prepare? It’s like lego - everything gets disassembled. Checks being done. All the pieces are analyzed and then with every minute detail, it’s tested. There is a lot of what if’s. Be ready to attack what if and that’s what preparation happens. Strategizing.   Q7 – What happens if you don’t get along with a driver or a manager? Everything is fixed on the inside. The driver is chosen based on being a team player. Needs experience in sharing the car. And Joao has been very fortunate - winning or losing they do it together. Making sure they have good chemistry and share the same goal   Q8 – How do you go about getting that chemistry? Gym, beach, run, workout - fishing trips - team bonding. After races having fun and relaxing. It’s what happens on the outside that allows them to perform on the job.   Q9 – How did you overcome your obstacles? There are a lot of obstacles. When racing in the US - he was trying all over the place and managed to get an opportunity. A lot of sacrifices when you're younger.   Q10 – Give me an example of a sacrifice? Raced in the US - living with the team, traveling with the crew, driving back and forth, living above the shop of the team, helping them in the shop. Helped develop the cars in the US too. It was a sacrifice. He started traveling when he was really young when your 13, 14 or 16-18 you want to spend time with your friends and be able to go clubbing.   Q11 – 5-10 years where do you see yourself and career? It’s a tough decision, it’s not going to last forever. Atm - he’s only focused on the team and doing the best by winning as many competitions as possible. By being in the best possible shape. 3 wins so far and get more.   Q12 – How do you stay in shape? Cadillac speeds are very high, mentally being in the base shape too. It’s a nonstop year-long program. Biking, running, coupling with that a personal trainer - working out shoulders and neck to handle the G forces. Stepping up a lot more this winter and getting in shape a lot faster. And as ready as I can be.

#ppcchat Twitter discussion that runs on Tuesdays at 5pm GMT - Led by Mark Kennedy (@markkennedysem). Q1 Are you still actively using all three match types? I know there are exceptions for every account. But for the majority of accounts, which match types do you generally use and what is the makeup/percentage? Q2 Do you generally see one match type have a higher CPC than another for the same keyword, or does it vary by account in most cases. In other words do you see any pattern with CPC and match types. Or even conversion rates for that matter (if at all) Q3 You have a single Keyword like ‘plumbers’. What match type(s) do you use for that term? (For this example, you have all of the tail terms as well, but need this KW too) Q4 Do you separate adgroups by match types? Q5 Recently there was an article about Phrase match Modifier.
