Nolan and I (Joey) think this is one of 2023's underrated albums and definitely a hidden hip hop gem. David is missing this month so we only have to convince Guy! In Part 2, the Spin it or Bin it theme is 'Technology' where we all chose a track that we think fits the theme and ask the others 'Spin It or Bin It'.Part 1 | Aesop Rock | Integrated Tech Solutions.This one's special (in my opinion). Nolan has always tried to sell Aesop Rock to me but there's so much music and so little time that I never quite got it. That changed in the Autumn when Mindful Solutionism, the lead single from this album dropped. I chose it as a Spin It or Bin It track and won that month. There's another 17 tracks on this album. It's dense, intelligent, socially conciuous, amusing, moving and thought provoking hip hop. Seit nunmehr 4 Jahren gehen die beiden Freunde gemeinsam als DJ & Produzenten Duo durch dick und dünn. Bereits vor dieser Zeit waren sie schon seit einigen Jahren freundschaftlich miteinander verbunden und zogen in dieser Zeit gemeinsam durch die Partylandschaft. Dabei war ihr musikalischer Weg bis dato etwas unterschiedlicher Natur. Während sich Raddantze schon etliche Jahre dem Produzieren verschrieben hatte, war sein Kollege Landhouse seit jeher als leidenschaftlicher Vinyl-DJ bekannt. Beiden liegt das musizieren quasi in den Genen, denn sie stammen aus Musikerfamilien und wurden so schon sehr früh mit dem Musik-Virus infiziert. Schließlich haben sie bei einem ihrer gemeinsamen nächtlichen Ausflüge beschlossen ihre Liebe und Power für die elektronische Musik zu bündeln - Gott sei Dank möchte man fast sagen. Ihr musikalisches Zuhause fanden die beiden Karlsruher in dem Netlabel Seaside Trip mit ihrer gleichnamigen Podcastreihe, wo ihr Captain Rolandson eisern das Steuer führt. Ihre Produktionen fanden bereits den Weg auf so klangvolle Labels wie Underyourskin Records, Serafin Audio Imprint, Black Hills Recordings und Wildfang Records und ihre Tracks werden von allen Größen der entschleunigten Szene gespielt, wie z.B. Mira, Unders, Monolink. Für uns hat das Duo eine verträumte und zugleich verspielte Reise kreiert, welche uns Hörer sofort und unweigerlich in seinen Bann zieht - wahrlich zauberhaft. Like the Princess, it could only be free at night, alone, with no one to witness it's beauty. Over the years, Princess Zeppadella grew older and the Nightflower kept blooming, together they lived a secret life only they controlled. One rainy evening, the Princess climbed out to the garden to find her nocturnal companion was not there, the Nightflower was closed. She tried to wake it up but it would not stir. When the Princess returned the next morning, she found her friend laying dried on the dirt.

Never allowed to leave the protection of her palace, Princess Zeppadella wished for more. All her life she was kept away from the harm and evil in the world, forever on the inside, looking out. At night she would sneak through the garden to hear the music and sounds of excitement in the distance.

Kein leichtes Unterfangen in einer Stadt die traditionell von Techno dominiert wird. Dennoch lassen Sie nicht locker. Gut so. Mit seinem einzigartigen Stil ist Jakob auch schon weit über die Karlsruher Grenzen bekannt geworden. So bespielte er unter anderem das Uckerlam Festival, das https://soundcloud.com/fjordfest, sowie das Rituel in Paris und natürlich in verschiedenen Locations Berlin's. Die Musik von Bruder Jakob lässt sich meiner Meinung nach her mit den zwei Adjektiven Leichtigkeit und Tiefe beschreiben. Als ausgewiesener „Schnekno“ Fanatiker sind seine Sets mit Liedern durchzogen, die nicht nur derbe Grooven, sondern auch zum Nachdenken anregen. Ein besonderes Augenmerk legt er natürlich auf eine stimmige Tracklist und der damit einhergehende Stimmungsbogen. Kenner seiner Musik schätzen vor allem den hohen Anteil an unbekannten Tracks, die er meistens extrem runterpitcht und dadurch erst eine neue Dynamik erhalten. In diesem Zusammenhang bedient er sich überwiegend an alten Liedern aus dem Bereich des Technos, Acid und House. Musik, die wie gemalt ist für eine perfekte Afterhour. Wir sind unglaublich froh dass wir Jakob für unsere Reihe gewinnen konnten, der sich mit seinem Set wieder einmal übertroffen hat. Wir danken dir von Herzem für dieses Sahnestück von Musik.
