149: What to Do When You Don't Know What to Do Join us as we share 3 things you can do when you do not know what to do. 1. Pray. Take it all to God. He will meet you in your despair. It may require you to repent and release your pride and selfishness. Lay yourself down so you can hear from Him. Seek Him first. The scriptures tell us that when we seek Him, we will find Him. As you pray and cry out to Him, don't forget to be still and listen. We want to hear from Him, but that requires leaning in, listening for Him and expect to hear from Him. He is always with you. He is always at work in your life. No matter what comes your way, run to Him. 2. Seek Wise Counsel. It is Biblical to seek the counsel of those who will give you biblically sound advice. We don't need people's opinions or advice, we need help to apply God's wisdom during THIS season of our life. Who is encouraging you in your walk with Jesus? Be intentional to build relationships with women who will point you to Jesus all the time and every time. 3. Get in God's word. The Psalms are full of David in the situation of not knowing what to do. We read and relate to his highs and lows as he suffers and as he worships. Ephesians is full of instruction for the believer. It reminds us of who we need to be and what we need to do. Regardless of where you go in God's word, it is always going to point you to truth. Again, we encourage you to keep a truth journal. If you don't have a truth journal, you can find one at engageformore.com. BONUS: - Record what God is teaching you right now. Be aware of what He is trying to show you? - Keep a List: Lord, What do I Need to Stop Doing? and Lord, What do I Need to Start Doing? - Keep listening to the Engage for More Podcast and invite your friends to do the same.
