On May 4, 2022, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia's Western District released the autopsy results for two of the Shopping Cart Killer's five suspected victims.

Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis gives an update in the investigation into Hannah Choi's murder and what keeps him up at night when he thinks about the serial murderer dubbed the “shopping cart killer.” On his one-year anniversary in the role, Chief Davis also talks about the rising crime in the D.C. region, specifically the uptick in thefts from the underbelly of cars and his concerns about police retention and recruitment.

On Nov. 23, 2021, Harrisonburg, VA police arrested Anthony Robinson for the murder of two women who had been found in an empty lot. Video surveillance showed Robinson using a shopping cart to transport his victims to their final resting place. Three weeks later, two more women were found dead about two hours east of Harrisonburg in Alexandria , VA - next to a shopping cart. Three Virginia police agencies are now working together to find more victims of the man they've dubbed "The Shopping Cart Killer."
