If you've ever uploaded a profile photo for a new account, chances are AI has already taken a close look. From banking to social media, companies are increasingly relying on AI-enhanced image search to verify who you say you are. This isn't just about matching a face; it's a sophisticated, multi-layered process. At its core, facial recognition analyzes your unique facial geometry, creating a 'faceprint' that can be compared against a government ID or existing photos. But that's just the start. To combat sophisticated fraud, liveness detection ensures there's a real, live person in front of the camera, not just a static picture or a video replay.
