They analyze the key factors contributing to the defeat, from missed opportunities to defensive lapses. They also discuss how UConn measured up against elite competition and whether injuries or fatigue played a significant role. Mitchell shares his perspective on whether the loss reflects deeper flaws in UConn's strategy or if it was simply a case of running into a strong opponent. Together, they explore whether these kinds of losses expose vulnerabilities in the Huskies' playbook. Segment 2: Do They Have Enough Talent? The conversation shifts to the talent level on UConn's roster. Is this team built to compete with the best in the nation? Mark and Mitchell evaluate the depth of the roster, the roles of younger players, and the contributions of the team's stars. Mitchell compares this team to previous UConn squads under Geno Auriemma, highlighting differences in roster construction and player development. The duo also addresses whether UConn's current talent pool has what it takes to meet the lofty expectations of the program and its fans. Segment 3: Future FixesIn the final segment, the focus turns to solutions. What can UConn do to right the ship and get back on track for the rest of the season? Mark and Mitchell discuss potential adjustments to rotations and strategies, as well as long-term fixes, including recruiting and player development. They emphasize the importance of injury management and how UConn can adapt in the short term while continuing to build for the future. Mitchell gives his insight into the recruiting pipeline and whether it can address the gaps currently evident in the team. As the episode concludes, Mark reminds listeners that Locked On UConn is committed to delivering daily coverage of UConn basketball—the hoops capital of the world. First, Kelly and Lizz share highlights of their childhood Easter. Then, the gals reminisce about mall stores and brands they used to love and where they are now. Reel talk with Lizz brings healthy home inspiration with a DIY all-purpose cleaner recipe and a few low-lift wellness tips. The gals agree that ice water facials are going to be the way to go — because you won't catch either of them plunging in for a cold swim. Every day is a gift worth more than $10M and Lizz has a bit of a ‘would you rather' to prove it. Lizz is getting ready for a John Mayer concert with tan converse to kick off the last three transactions segment. She also bought Jordan Harper's Barefaced tinted and sheer sunscreen and a bird feeder. Kelly re-upped her Apple TV subscription, ordered play makeup for Hattie, and took a risk on a denim jumpsuit. Are Kelly and Lizz even qualified to respond on today's listener advice segment? Someone's very best friend of 20 years is cheating on her husband. What should she do with her friend's secret? Fred is at daycare, Kelly is way too focused, and Lizz is having her most pregnant experience ever — insomnia and middle of the night cereal with a side of Netflix's “How to Get Away with Murder.”  Today's millennial word of the day is making its debut in the 3D world thanks to Gen Z: the side-eye. Once just an emoji, side-eye is now a phrase you can use whenever you're judging or questioning the content of what someone is saying.  Kelly's driveway dump is jam packed. A new celebrity pregnancy announcement from Lindsay Lohan is as normal as can be and Lizz and Kelly are here for her mommy-blogger comeback. Instagram releases the new verified badge subscription and Lizz will be giving it a try. Kelly warns everyone to take out their claw clips while driving — and slaps a trigger warning on this story. Over the weekend Kelly and the kids will be headed to the hotel Tyler's parents are staying at for indoor pool access — what a great staycation idea. And last but certainly not least, Kelly is obsessed with Spanx clothes and how they're changing her postpartum body experience.  After giving her address to the Wonderful company for some spiced pistachios — which are today's taste drive, Kelly seems to be on a weird PR list that's sending her cases of juice and clementines. The Wonderful de-shelled pistachio flavors the gals tried out today are: roasted, salted sea salt vinegar, honey roasted, chili roasted, and smokey barbecue. Lizz polled Carpool listeners for assumptions they have about Kelly and Lizz and is ready to confirm or deny the most common ones. Topping the list is that Kelly and Lizz were popular girls in high school. Kelly and Tyler agree that all trolls may be millennials and that Gen Z will meanwhile be solving world hunger.  Tyler shares his long-awaited driveway dump and discusses The Crown, the Harry and Megan documentary, and his take on Prince Charles' “adversity.” Then, tells a ten-second dad-version of Fred's birth story that includes multiple food breaks. Bathroom permissions, sleeping in, clean rooms that stay clean, square feet, errands, flying by the seat of their pants, Friday nights, and TV freedom make Kelly and Tyler's list for the great eight of things they took for granted before becoming parents. Which privilege will prevail? Tyler answers dad-of-a-newborn questions from the Carpool that include how the duo divides household chores, the best and hardest part of having three kids, and Tyler's favorite thing about each kid (and Kelly)! In short, this is the perfect filler word when you have no idea what to say.  Kelly is bringing part one of a two-part driveway dump today that starts with a birthday shoutout to Blake from Blake's besties on January 19th. Happy Birthday, Blake! Kelly claims that Tarzan, the OG of soundtracks, walked so Frozen could run, she's back in her ugly and only three-pair-of-pants-fit era, and shares the life-changing magic of her new 911 hamper. Lizz chimes in with a report about her glue-on-nails experience, and the calls are making a call for press-on nail recommendations from listener experts. → Shoot the gals an email with yours hello@thecarmomofficial.com Today's episode is sponsored by Rocket Money, formerly known as Truebill. Kelly is available in her DMs to defend today's winner.  Today's industry news is sponsored by Edmunds.com. Edmonds thinks Kelly and Lizz are just working too hard. That's why they brought them a round up of the best current industry news to share on this episode so that you, too, can sound like a total baddie who knows what's up in the current car market.  Leases are the highest since November of 2007, so buying is hot. Inventory's low but on its way up as overall car prices are coming down. If you're shopping, keep an eye out for CPOs (certified pre-owned cars) — Lizz and Kelly explain why.  Lizz shares her chicken pesto pasta so you can ditch the drive-through this week on pasta Monday. Kelly's defending her barefoot dreams robe purchase and is in awe about how Tyler proved his farm-strength when their water heater went out and he had to buy and install a new one at 9pm. A hilarious industry news features a report from the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas that includes BMW's talking car, DEE (the Digital Emotional Experience) that Lizz hates as well as Ram's first electric pickup and its third row jump seats. CarMax, Carvana and Vroom are staying out of the Super Bowl — not surprising — and the numbers are in on what you would have lost if you'd invested in last year's super bowl advertisers. There is an old adage that "opposites attract." And you do sometimes see couples that seem to prove the point. Still, just how common is it for very different people to be attracted to each other. This episode begins by explaining some research on the topic. http://www.livescience.com/5351-truth-opposites-attract.html How can you tell what someone else is REALLY thinking or what they REALLY want from you? If you know the clues to look for you can get a better idea of what is going on in their head. Joining me to explain how it works and how you can put it into practice is psychotherapist David J.
