That CD and digital release featured many of the guests that had appeared on the Bass Agenda Radio show in its first year, such as w1b0, The Exaltics, Sync24, Scape One, The Hidden Persuader, and Alavux. Since 2013 the label has put out over 100 releases on digital, vinyl, CD, and USB formats spanning the various nuanced styles in the Electro genre, and Techno too. Just like the radio show, the focus of the Bass Agenda label is on exploring the wide range of sounds out there and doing so by releasing music by brand new talents, established artists doing new things, and some of the Electro genre's biggest names. The label has been championed since its inception by Dave Clarke and has grown over the years to become a regular source of tracks for home DJs, podcasters, magazines, and some the world's biggest names, including Juan Atkins, DJ Stingray, Helena Hauff, UMEK, Alienata, and many more. In 2020 Bass Agenda Recordings curated and released CAREBOT$, a massive 100+ tracks compilation raising money for NHS Charities Together and Médecins Sans Frontières Covid-19 initiatives. So far, the CAREBOT$ has raised over £10,000. After this project Andy Barton, who runs all things Bass Agenda, decided the label would take a break. The label will return, but no specific date or plans have been made as yet. The Bass Agenda Radio Show continues and broadcasts on www.deepspaceradio.com in Detroit. Guest on the show have included Anthony Rother, The Hacker, Juan Atkins, Detroit in Effect, Dez Williams, Jensen Interceptor, Helena Hauff, CYRK, DJ Godfather, Radioactive Man and over 150 more. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Follow Bass Agenda Recordings : Bandcamp : www.bassagendarecordings.bandcamp.com Facebook : www.facebook.com/BassAgendaRecordings Instagram : www.instagram.com/bassagenda SoundCloud : @bassagenda Triple Vision : www.triplevision.nl/label/Bass+Agenda+Recordings
In this interview from 2019, Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Vadestrid of CBL talk about how they manage to work so well after 28 years of activity, about their hobbies, the differences between CBL and SYNC24 (the solo project of Daniel) and other details from the sonic laboratory of one of the most beloved projects in the history of ambient music. As always, a special mix will sonically illustrate the episode.
Just over a hundred years ago, English composer GUSTAV HOLST created the hugely popular orchestral suite THE PLANETS. He used conventional acoustic instruments. Just think of what he'd have done with the electronic instruments of today. In fact, if you give a musician a synth the odds are they'll use it to create some of the cosmic brand of ambient we like to call "spacemusic." It's been that way since the earliest days of electronic music. The cool, abstract, non-material tones of electronic instruments were intuitively associated with the moon, the planets, the stars and the entire cosmic panorama. Cosmic music led to another discovery: rhythm created by electronic tones generated by programmable machines called sequencers, instead of drums. Why? Because drums grounded the music in the physical world, and tethered the imagery of the music to acoustic space. The goal was the infinite release and infinite freedom...of infinite space. On this transmission of Hearts of Space, another cosmic electronic journey across the starfields to distant galaxies, on a program called COSMIC ELECTRONIC 2. Music is by STARTERRA, EXTRAWORLD, TRANSPONDER, ASC, OVNIMOON, and SYNC24. [ view playlist ] [ view Flickr image gallery ] [ play 30 second MP3 promo ]

Good day listeners welcome to podcast no96, what a great lineup we have for you, with the opening track from the stunning new album by Tiger Forest getting the show on the road. Usual suspects here with their latest projects to fill the void with some outstanding sounds. First timers include Citizen-X, composing music on ios devices, iPhones and iPads. Norwegian Ivor Hansen, music styled on ambient and new age, Daniel Segerstad from Carbon Based Lifeforms new solo release under the name of SYNC24, veteran Spotted Peccary artists Howard Givens and Madhavi Devi, delicately traverse subtle electronic-ambient wonderlands and finally Holland Phillips music categorised as “new age, although very varied. Those who can’t get enough of Berlin School will find our blast from the past to their liking, the Synco track mysterious Invention part 1 was a serious player in this field when it was released in 1990, That’s enough from me, sit back & relax for the next three hours and immerse yourself into the music we all love. SYNC24 is Daniel Segerstad from Göteborg, South-West Sweden. As a musician he knows how to trigger the electronica hearts of many listeners out there... His second solo album called ‘Comfortable Void’ is an experience that might touch you like it did touch the Spacemusic Team as well... 10 tracks that go seamlessly back to back. Like Daniel says: “ somehow music sounds better in the key A “. Driven by his passion for good music Daniel also plays the Roland TB-303, the magical piece of machinery built in the 80‘s is still in good shape! Please listen closely... Comfortable Void is an experience. It’s ambient. It’s dance. It’s many good things coming together like in a good movie.
