When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior and He lives inside of you, He does a transforming work from the inside out. As your life radically changes and you fall deeper in love with Christ you can't help but talk about Him with others. The Holy Spirit within you desires for you to preach the gospel to a dark and dying world. Pastor Ricky will be sharing with you the basic functions of the gospel to help you easily share with others. Don't fear man for what can man do to you? Trust in the Lord.
In this text, the Lord casts out a legion of demons from a man who lives in a graveyard. Demons are very real but you should never fear them because greater is He who is in you than He who is in the world. Just as Jesus had the power to cast out these demons, He has power to transform your life and to transform the lives of those you minister to. As you preach the gospel to unbelievers, His power proceeds out from you and does the work.

Followers of Jesus are at their best when they live a show and tell life. When Jesus shares the great commission with all of his followers, he puts baptizing people right in the middle of it. Why? We're going to be looking at often missed spiritual power of baptism, how it becomes a gift that keeps encouraging you throughout your life, and why it's an incredible opportunity to show and tell others about how Jesus has changed you.

Shame distorts our perspective, often making us feel devalued by others' words and actions. Sometimes, the harm is real and there's no misunderstanding—we've been disrespected. Whether perceived or real, shame impacts us deeply and needs healing. This week, I'm joined again by Sue Tell, a veteran leader in the Navigators' Ministry. Sue shares her journey through shame and explains how comparison and performance can create toxic environments. She discovered that trust, affirmation, and a strong identity in Christ were key to overcoming these challenges. By embracing God's grace, she found true freedom. Join us to hear Sue's insights on overcoming shame and embracing grace for transformation. In this episode, you'll learn: Why Sue felt the pressure to perform in her ministry role The three elements of grace that transformed how she related to God Why Sue can delight in her time alone with God these days How asking questions is key to how she ministers to others The ways Sue is using her blog as a way to invite others into God's grace Links Mentioned: To receive Sue's blog, “Echoes of Grace,” use this link, then click on “Follow Echoes of Grace.” To receive a bookmark, email Sue at sue@suetell.com and give her your physical mailing address. “Lay it Down” by Bill Tell TrueFace Ministry Grab your copy of Lifted From Shame Order your eBook or print book on Amazon here. Tune in to hear Sue's inspiring journey and how embracing God's acceptance changed everything. In this episode, you'll learn: Why religious upbringing doesn't guarantee knowing God How Sue learned to trade performance and checklists for friendship with Jesus How unaddressed shame and people-pleasing lead to burnout in ministry How performance affected Sue's ability to be present as a spouse and parent The breakthroughs Sue and Bill made through counseling Links Mentioned: To receive Sue's blog, “Echoes of Grace,” use this link, then click on “Follow Echoes of Grace.” To receive a bookmark, email Sue at sue@suetell.com and give her your physical mailing address. “Lay it Down” by Bill Tell TrueFace Ministry Grab your copy of Lifted From Shame Order your eBook or print book on Amazon here. On today's episode. I talk about the friends that I talked to over the internet. That I met in real life.
PART TWO of this Yom Kippur 2023 sermon, in which I share the result of my personal and rabbi experiences of the last 15 years: that the longer we live, the shorter our eulogy becomes; that life (like scripture) is a combination of halakhah (direct description of human behavior) and aggadah (our stories in which God is an invisible character); that the main point of Yom Kippur is to learn how to retell our stories so that the way God has been communicating to us through our experiences becomes center stage, with the intimation explicit, the aspiration articulated, the perpective holy, so we live wearing the garments of holiness, with the perspective of shrouds and Unetaneh Tokef, as God writes the books of Avinu Malkeinu from the way we are telling our stories.

William Dorsch Returns - Omnipotent: Don't Ask, Don't Tell Part 2October 27We expect that criminals will lie but not the police.Bill Dorsch a retired Chicago homicide detective understood that people when accused of committing crimes, especially in homicide cases, would make conscious decisions to lie when questioned. He hated being lied to but his task as an investigator was to discover the truth no matter where it would take him. He worked hard to gather evidence and testimony from individuals that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrator. Bill returns to expand his narrative on John Wayne Gacy and other matters, and how, if the Police and Justice services worked as they should, so many more families could gain closure.BookThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement
Rainman and I pick up where we left off last week with a discussion after a stated meeting in the lodge library. He tells me that no one wants to serve as an officer of the lodge if the current master gets nominated again. We need five good MMs to make this happen. We begin to meet at Gibson's house to discuss the possibility of lifting the lodge back to good health. You must consider the many distinct aspects of lodge life and how you will address each one of them. You also have to consider family life, work promotions, work schedules changing, and economic situations. Everyone must commit and dedicate the necessary time, effort, and resources. Is five a magic number? If we do this, we can't just abandon it. Our secretary quits in the third month of 2017. We confer a third degree and have a special 8-course festive board. It was way too much for one evening. Please RSVP!!!! The bar was set high from the beginning. Where value is clear, decisions are easy. We have a meaningful degree for the first time in over three years. It's in the budget is masonic lore and myth! You have to vote on a budget and then vote on how it will be spent. Transparency was crucial – we did not join Freemasonry to make money or hide money. We went to Grand Master and the Retreats if needed. Be prepared because things will happen, and you must adjust. Grand Lodge Communications was not what it seemed like. Our Inspector was crucial to our success. From Ask 1 2 1 to the Eight Steps to Excellence. We continue to raise the bar. The 8 Steps to Excellence became almost overwhelming to many officers. What's in your heart is what matters and making a lodge in your image. We share a secret or two on how to create excitement and retain membership. And so much more. Follow me on Instagram @masonicmuscle. Barry lays the groundwork for a conversation about the strengths and weaknesses of representational and incarnational Christianity. Welcome to Hope City Church! NEW If you are new to Hope City text “Welcome” to 502-754-3212 WORSHIP GUIDE Nehemiah 2:11-20 11So I arrived in Jerusalem. Three days later, 12I slipped out during the night, taking only a few others with me. I had not told anyone about the plans God had put in my heart for Jerusalem. We took no pack animals with us except the donkey I was riding. 13After dark I went out through the Valley Gate, past the Jackal's Well, and over to the Dung Gate to inspect the broken walls and burned gates. 14Then I went to the Fountain Gate and to the King's Pool, but my donkey couldn't get through the rubble. 15So, though it was still dark, I went up the Kidron Valley instead, inspecting the wall before I turned back and entered again at the Valley Gate. 16The city officials did not know I had been out there or what I was doing, for I had not yet said anything to anyone about my plans. I had not yet spoken to the Jewish leaders—the priests, the nobles, the officials, or anyone else in the administration. 17But now I said to them, “You know very well what trouble we are in. Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire. Let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem and end this disgrace!” 18Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me, and about my conversation with the king. They replied at once, “Yes, let's rebuild the wall!” So they began the good work. 19But when Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem the Arab heard of our plan, they scoffed contemptuously. “What are you doing? Are you rebelling against the king?” they asked. 20I replied, “The God of heaven will help us succeed. We, his servants, will start rebuilding this wall. But you have no share, legal right, or historic claim in Jerusalem.” Secrecy is the practice of abstaining from drawing attention to yourself. 1. Secrecy tames the need for attention 2.
