Health Care, Privacy and Abortion - Women's Rights in 2022 are in danger.  In the United States, a woman's right to medical care and a women's Constitutional Right to Privacy are being challenged.  Abortion is not a topic most people want to discuss. But now is an excellent time to put your fears aside and talk with your mom or grandmother. Ask them how medical and unwanted pregnancies were handled back when.  What O.G.'s have to say about this topic is INVALUABLE. It's one of the most important One-On-One discussions we need to have as civil rights continue to be attacked. Last month the latest edition of the Jailhouse Lawyer's Handbook was released by the Center for Constitutional Rights and the National Lawyer's Guild. Anyone in prison can write to either organization for a free copy, and family and friends can view and download copies at jailhouselaw.org. As part of the release, award-winning journalist and jailhouse lawyer Mumia Abu-Jamal recorded a segment on Prison Radio (prisonradio.org) regarding the critically important work of Jailhouse Lawyers. The Center for Constitutional Rights, where I work, also recorded a podcast featuring JLH co-editor and senior staff attorney Chinyere Ezie discussing the latest edition of the handbook. You can listen to that full podcast here: ccrjustice.org/activist-files Also in the past month, the legend Brian Jackson released his new album with Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge on their label Jazz is Dead. It's an incredible piece of music and I recommend everyone purchase it! You can grab a copy here: thebrianjackson.bandcamp.com/album/bria…son-jid008 I decided it might be fun to throw together a quick mix of parts of Brian Jackson's new album beneath the important words of Mumia and my colleague Chinyere. It's a short mix, just around 15 minutes long, but hope everyone takes a moment to listen. Jailhouse Lawyer's are doing unbelievable legal and advocacy work from inside prison walls that is often unheard and unappreciated on the outside. Many thanks to all who appear on this mix!

6 Ways our government keeps us controlled. Replacing Private rights with public rights There are 3 types of Rights Public rights (privileges or franchises )- rights exist between the Government and Citizens/inhabitants Apply to your status not LAND Created by congress in civil statutes Private rights - exist in relationship between Human beings (non-residents) and GOV Attach to land not status protected by common law (there is a difference between common law and statutory law) Constitutional Rights -exist between human being and government attached to LAND - not status Two types of property Absolute : shared /w no one qualified : shared Government established to " keep private & public property separate They steal private property by WILLFULLY confusing public rights with private rights and privileges Purpose of the government Protect the PRIVATE RIGHTS No not your public rights (meaning claim any status, or accept any benefit connected to this status"citizen" "Resident" "spouse" "driver"-or apply for or use government property in connection with otherwise private financial transactions you cannot be free from the system Promote JUSTICE legally defined as :the right to be LEFT ALONE Government that doesnt protect you from its own abuses of authority to convert private property & rights into public rights w/oEXPRESSED, DEMONSTRATED EVIDENCE of your consent to the conversion is a government mafia Two types of GOVERNMENT Government by CONSENT (DE JURE )- dont enforce civil obligation with out express consent Terrorist Government- operate by force or fraud (DE DE FACTO GOVERNMENT) PURPOSE OF GOVERNMENT: Identify , isolate, instruct, and punish those who INURE OTHERS IN MY opinion that is why the pandemic was orchestrated in such a way that it made everyone not complying with the mandates the "Injurers" of others. They have made the public believe that non compliance does harm to others when the evidence to this reality for that is non existent People who dont understand this will see arrest/detentions/ job loss/ medical tyranny/ mandatory vaccines/ as Justice WHY? Because Laws that punish OFFENSES that dont injure others are UNJUST" So, by propagating that these "non-compliants" are injuring others (Asymptotic )it releases their conscious of feeling bad for allowing people to suffer tyrannical abuse from government public officials while they stand idly BY. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/overcominglife/support

In this inaugural event of a 4-part series marking the 20th anniversary of 9/11, artists, lawyers and scholars will be reflecting on the impact of the post-9/11 “global security” framework on communities fighting for their rights to be, to move, to believe and to resist. From the indefinite detention of Muslim men in Guantanamo, to the unending repression of the Black freedom movement, to suppression of advocacy for Palestine, and to the racist immigration and border regimes, panelists will trace the harms of post-9/11 policies with an emphasis on the ever-expanding terrorism framework. The conversation will highlight stories of creative resistance to U.S. policies of criminalization and dehumanization, and point towards new horizons of community safety and collective flourishing. Speakers: Sadie Barnette's multimedia art practice illuminates her own family history as it mirrors a collective history of repression and resistance in the United States. Barnette holds a BFA from CalArts and an MFA from the University of California, San Diego. She has been awarded grants and residencies by the Studio Museum in Harlem, Art Matters, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and the Headlands Center for the Arts. Omar Farah is a Senior Staff Attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights and is the lead lawyer in Color of Change v. Department of Homeland Security and Federal Bureau of Investigation, which seeks records that reveal the government's expansive surveillance of the Movement for Black Lives. Silky Shah is the Executive Director of Detention Watch Network (DWN), a national coalition building power to abolish immigration detention in the US. She has worked as an organizer on issues related to immigration detention, mass incarceration, and racial and migrant justice for over 15 years. In her time at DWN she has helped transform the organization into a national leader in the immigrant rights movement, leading campaigns to expose the system and building the capacity of grassroots members to take action. Tarek Z. Ismail is an Associate Professor of Law at the CUNY School of Law. Prior to joining CUNY Law's faculty, he served as Senior Staff Attorney at the Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility (CLEAR) project, which primarily aims to address the legal needs of Muslim, Arab, South Asian, and other communities in the New York City area that are particularly affected by national security and counterterrorism policies and practices deployed by various law enforcement agencies. Nadia Ben-Youssef (moderator) is the Advocacy Director at the Center for Constitutional Rights. Together with the legal, advocacy, and communication teams, Nadia identifies opportunities for the Center for Constitutional Rights to make strategic cultural and political interventions that shift public narrative and policy on human and civil rights. She has expertise in international human rights fora and mechanisms, and extensive experience developing advocacy strategies to influence U.S. decision-makers. In a move that is deeply damaging to the credibility and legitimacy of the US Supreme Court, the Court declined to stop an unconstitutional Texas law from going into effect. The Texas authorities passed a law saying a woman can not have an abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected - at about 6 weeks of the pregnancy - which directly violates the Supreme Court precedent of Roe v. Wade. In a very real sense, the Supreme Court is allowing the state of Texas to violate the constitutional rights of women. We've seen two extremes of transparency and lack of transparency in Australia, we've seen camps being built for certain people who do not want to comply with something that they have every constitutional right to reject, as per The Constitution of The Commonwealth of Australia. Likewise we've seen state pollies denying Australian Citizens their Human Right and Constitutional Right to Freedom of Movement. On the international stage, well, apparently, The President of Brazil told The Citizens of Brazil to get armed (own a firearm). Need I say any more! Many Americans have long regarded the Second Amendment as a particularly bright example of their nation's dedication to the principles of liberty; the right to own and use firearms is often tied closely in our culture to the preservation and enjoyment of other freedoms, such as speech and religion, which are so linked to the very idea of the United States that thinking of one immediately conjures up the other. However, not everyone throughout our history has seen the gun as a symbol of something noble, and today, to discuss how these differing perspectives connect to the Second Amendment and its complex cultural legacy, hosts Kelly and JJ welcome Dr. Carol Anderson, a historian and New York Times best-selling author whose new book -- "The Second: Race and Guns in a Fatally Unequal America" -- explores the narrative tapestry that Americans past and present have woven around these weapons and their role in our republic.Mentioned in this podcast:America's gun obsession is rooted in slavery (the Guardian)The Second Amendment is not about guns -- it's about anti-Blackness, a new book argues (CNN) Historian Uncovers The Racist Roots Of The 2nd Amendment (NPR)Was the Constitutional Right to Bear Arms Designed to Protect Slavery? The world is changing, the laws are changing, and many people (including myself) believe that it is infringing upon our constitutional rights. We believe that the constitution was written in a way to protect the rights of the people, and limit the powers that the government has been given. Today, I am joined with Robert Barnes, a constitutional law lawyer, and he deals with this regularly. He's got many constitutional cases, and we're going to dig into what he believes the constitution has to say, and what the courts are upholding, and what they have to say on many issues. Issues regarding the lockdowns, being locked in your homes, businesses shutting down, vaccine mandates, vaccine passports, and your right to bear arms. He gives us his actionable plan as to how we can fight back, so let's jump into it!

The Founding Fathers never imagined some of our current election problems, including absentee voting, ballot harvesting, and voting by computer. As a result, the Constitution is silent on how to handle as situation where a person, currently holding the Office of the President, is determined to have been elected fraudulently. At this time, we have no solutions. The Supreme Court cannot create new law. It can only rule on the Constitutionality of facts, events, and existing written law. We do have mechanisms to amend the Constitution to address this problem in future elections; but even that is not likely to happen before the 2022 elections. The burden to solve this problem in the near term is solely the States' responsibility to resolve, and that can only be State by State right now.The Democrats (which now are all extreme leftists, even often to the degree of being socialists) are engaging in all sorts of illegal power grabs, and the American Press Corps is letting them do it. There always has been an element of corrupt political power-grabbing in the US, but there was better balance that today because of a more honest American Press. After Watergate, the upcoming “journalists” believed it was their job to destroy Republicans, not to expose government corruption. AND THAT is a major factor of our current corrupt political mess! (Remember: Trump was calling the Press out as “fake news”, so they MUST destroy him.)Our @American Mamas, Teri Netterville and Denise Arthur, are not happy about athletes being disrespectful about the American flag and the National Anthem — in this case, being played on an harmonica by a WWII 98-year old veteran! They believe this anti-American behavior in sports has received so much backlash on so many levels by so many truly patriotic Americans that organized sports is beginning to feel the financial pressure.Few have had as much of an impact on the peace and stability of the United States of America as the Long Gray Line Meigs Family, beginning at West Point during the Revolutionary War and coming forward through history. This week, we lost another of those great American leaders, Retired General Montgomery C. Meigs at the age of 76. As predicted when Governors started declaring COVID “State of Emergency” edicts last year, Governor Cuomo is now the first governor to start using “disaster declarations” to strip Americans of their Constitutional Rights, but he won't be the last. He is quoted as saying “Just like we did with COVID, New York is going to lead the nation once again with a comprehensive approach to combating and preventing gun violence, and our first step is acknowledging the problem with a first-in-the-nation disaster emergency on gun violence.” He has declared a “Gun Violence Disaster Emergency” to be a public health crisis, and created a new Office of Gun Violence Prevention inside the New York Dept of Health. He is starting by targeting New York City, Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse, and Long Island. The Biden Administration, from the very first day in office, has been attacking the entire fossil fuel industry — and thus, the American people. He has so damages the industry that we went from a net-export oil and gas Nation to a net-import Nation again. This has left us subject to whatever our Nation's enemies choose to do to us and the prices American have to pay for gasoline and fuel to heat and cool their homes. And of course, it hurts the poorest the most. But the Biden Administration does not care. It is only interested in what the environmentalists want. When Conan O'Brien and Sean Penn realize the political left have gone too far, that is hopeful. On a recent podcast of “Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend,” Conan O'Brien and Sean Penn agree “it's a tricky time” in comedy these days because of the Cancel Culture. O'Brien is quoted to have said, “The whole concept of cancel culture is, ‘We found that someone did something in 1979 that is now not appropriate. They're dead to us.' ”

Join a panel of experts for a discussion of el-Sisi's role in repressing human rights in Egypt and Palestine. Trump's reference to Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as his “favorite dictator” revealed the former US president's penchant for lawlessness and authoritarian rule. But the Biden administration continues to provide carte blanche for Sisi's widespread repression and human rights abuses, based on the premise that Egypt plays an important role in enforcing US policies for the region, in particular as a mediator between Palestinians and Israel. This Realpolitik logic of unconditional support for tyrants is shortsighted. The Sisi regime is currently imprisoning an estimated 60,000 political prisoners while it also plays a central role in maintaining the longstanding blockade of Gaza and jails Palestine solidarity activists in Egypt. This forum will address the state of human rights in Egypt, Sisi's role in besieging Palestinians (in collusion with Israel and the Palestinian Authority), how US policy fuels repression in Egypt and Egypt's nefarious role in Israel-Palestine, and what progressives can do to improve human rights conditions for Egyptians and Palestinians. Speakers: Raed Jarrar is Advocacy Director for Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN). Since immigrating to the U.S. in 2005, he has worked as a lobbyist on political issues pertaining to the U.S. engagement in the Arab world. Priscilla Rahn joins Kim in-studio to discuss Priscilla's new role as Vice-Chair of the Colorado Republican Party and the sexual allegations regarding Tay Anderson. First, Jen Hulan, owner of Waters Edge Winery, invites families to bring their dads into the winery for good food and great wine this coming Sunday for Father's Day. Follow Jen at wew.denver.com, Facebook or Instagram. Colorado University Regent Chance Hill explains the resolution he is proposing on Thursday (June 17th) to reverse the CU bureaucratic mandate that all faculty and students must have the Wuhan-China/COVID-19 experimental drug in order to be on campus for the fall term. The experimental drug vaccine is administered under an Emergency Use Authorization and is not approved by the FDA. Chance strongly believes in individual choice and not a bureaucrat (part of the fourth branch of government) directing personal life choices that may have lasting, and potentially negative, effects. Chance believes that students are being coerced into taking the vaccination because if they do not, they will not get the education they are pursuing. This should not be an opt-out but an opt-in individual decision. Colorado University is supporting a propaganda vaccine narrative to the students. Kim and Priscilla discuss the state of the Colorado GOP. Priscilla sees hard working people standing up for freedom, liberty and limited government with enthusiasm and practicality as the Democrat party attempts to control every aspect of our lives. Excessive taxation, as seen with the new Colorado gas tax hidden as a “fee” of 14 cents/gallon, is a problem for pocket books and part of government induced inflation through policy. We are living in a false economy with Wuhan-China virus/COVID-19 relief money flooding states. Polis says he is a libertarian as he finally admits to “phase out” his usage of emergency orders after creating or amending 400 plus executive orders; he is a tyrant. A North Korean defector now a student at Columbia sees communism and suppression of speech at college reminiscent of what she saw in North Korea, the Communist country she fled from. Priscilla tells her own remarkable story of her mother, during the Korean War, chasing a train with her older sister to reach “freedom.” Kim and Priscilla turn their attention to the sexual allegations against Tay Anderson, Denver Public School Board Director. As an educator, Priscilla is concerned about the 62 students, all but 1 undocumented who have alleged Tay Anderson sexual assault. Priscilla affirms that all children must be protected, kept safe, and taken seriously. Due process is Anderson's Constitutional Right. If an employee of the district is accused of sexual assault charges, s/he would immediately be put on leave. The same should apply to school board directors. It should be noted that Anderson has been an employee at North High School and has continued access to children. We must hold all parties accountable. Priscilla explains that school curriculum is grooming children for sexualization, particularly before puberty and this must stop. Kim notes that our kids are falling behind. We must teach our kids Math instead of masturbation.

They just cannot be drafted.Louis Avallone and Stephen Parr compare US Military Recruitment Ad Campaigns of the current Biden Administration to those of years past! No masks! No attendance restrictions. No "where to eat meals" restrictions. No music, singing, and dancing restrictions. No “immediate family only” restrictions. Denise insists that people need to be free again…..our Nation's emotional health is at risk otherwise.Half of our 50 States are now taking actions — by suing the Federal Government, by legislative actions, and/or by Governor executive orders — to protect the States from the Federal over-reach of the Biden Administration and of the Socialist Democrat controlled Congress. This is why the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution is so critically important: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”.Stephen Quay, founder of Seattle-based Atossa Therapeutics Inc, and Richard Muller, a physics professor at the University of California Berkeley, just added substantial scientific knowledge to explain the now apparent Chinese creation of COVID-19 in the Wuhan Labs, as well as Fauci's secret support for the research (as known from his now disclosed e-mails). As Quay and Muller wrote for the Wall Street Journal, “Covid-19 has a genetic footprint that has never been observed in a natural coronavirus.” SARS or MERS also were coronaviruses, but they did not have a critical DNA pattern called “CGG-CGG”. Quay and Muller explain how that “CGG-CGG” is only man-made in the labs.So….the Socialist Democrats have used “Mask Mandates” all over the Nation as a way to condition Americans to “obey” government orders which otherwise are in conflict with individual Constitutional Rights. And now look what they have done to “their” protected environment! It takes 450 years for masks made with any kind of petroleum product to decompose in nature. And how many were made with synthetic oil-based products?California Federal District Judge Roger Benitez ruled the California's 32-year old ban of “assault weapons”, including the AR-15, is unconstitutional. He explained, “Government is not free to impose its own new policy choices on American citizens where Constitutional rights are concerned.” He even called the California law a “failed experiment”. He agreed the AR-15 could be used on a battlefield, but pointed out that so could the Swiss Army Knife. Furthermore, both definitely could be used for home defense, which is precisely the purpose behind the 2nd Amendment. The case will now be appealed to the 9th Circuit, and then to the Supreme Court, in all likelihood.

The Second Amendment FoundationStephen Willeford pt 3Back on November 5th of 2017, we all seen the news reports of a gunman involved in a mass shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas that left 26 people murdered inside the First Baptist Church of that town. A neighbor of the church, hearing the gunfire, took action, grabbed his rifle and ran barefoot out of the door and engaged the gunman as he was exiting the church. That man, Stephen Willeford, is our special guest today. After helping stop the deadliest mass shooting in the history of Texas in November 2017, Stephen has become known across the country as the “good guy with a gun.” Stephen credits his unwavering faith and penchant for preparedness as to why he was able to step in during this critical incident, believing that each day of his life prepared him for what happened on that Sunday morning. Stephen has begun speaking publicly about his life and experiences, even delivering a lauded speech at the National Rifle Association Convention in May 2018. Because of his selfless service to his community, Stephen was also an honored guest of members of the Texas delegation at the 2018 State of the Union address in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), was an NRA-certified instructor and a former assistant scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a spokesman for the Second Amendment Foundation, the nation’s oldest and largest tax exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focused on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Because of this event, you have been doing public speaking and even helping the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbot, on a special commission. How long have you been involved with the Second Amendment Foundation? With all of the cancel culture going on in America right now, our rights are under attack like never before. And there is a huge push going on to either eliminate or limit our Constitutional rights under the Second Amendment. Tell us about the work that the Second Amendment Foundation is doing in our nation right now? As a spokesman for the Second Amendment Foundation, have you seen interest in your organization growing, what with all of the efforts to take away our 2nd Amendment rights? I know it must cost huge amounts of money to fight all of these cases, individually, all across America. How can someone make a donation or become an active member of the Second Amendment Foundation? Are there local chapters that people can become personally involved in? Attend in person meetings, etc.? Stephen, I do appreciate the work that you and all of the team at the Second Amendment Foundation are doing. This is such vital work that you are doing. If it were not for your organization and others like it, like the NRA, etc., we would already be a nation gone under. Folks, I cannot emphasize how important it is to support the Second Amendment Foundation. The work they do, all over America, standing up for your Constitutional RIGHT to “keep and bear arms;” The victories they are gaining in courts across this land; the precedents they are setting in legal victory after legal victory – well, they are doing it for one reason – YOU. If the powers that be in this nation had their way, they would strip you of ALL of your Constitutional rights. In fact, Joe Biden has already said that there are no absolutes when it comes to your Constitutional rights. I urge you to get in touch with the Second Amendment Foundation and donate to their cause, which IS your cause. Help support them, join their organization. That man, Stephen Willeford, is our special guest today. Stephen Willeford was raised in a family of five on a dairy farm near the First Baptist Church.  Stephen has always relied on his faith to guide his life, and his deep roots in Sutherland Springs are a product of his family’s commitment to their community. An avid sportsman, Stephen began shooting at a young age and honed his shooting skills by participating in shooting competitions as he grew older. Help me welcome to the program, Stephen Willeford. Stephen, thank you for taking the time to join us today. First question, other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Stephen Willeford?” I know your background was deeply involved in the NRA. You were a certified NRA firearms instructor, etc. In your opinion, how did you all of that come into play when your daughter first told you she heard shooting coming from across the street? From the time you exited your house, how long was it before you seen the gunman? What was the approximate distance between you both? You reference what happened to “David and Goliath.” Tell us about that reference… Folks, I cannot emphasize how important it is to support the Second Amendment Foundation. Get in touch with Stephen Willeford. Get in touch with the Second Amendment Foundation. Keep our Constitutional rights intact! The problem with the Animal Welfare Act is an amendment attached to it in 2002 that could be an illegal "bill of attainder." This is legislation that declares an entire class of guilty without a fair trial. The Constitution forbids such things. Was the so-called Helms Amendment to the Animal Welfare Act--which banned animals like birds, rats, and mice from protection--a "bill of attainder"? PETA Foundation attorney Asher Smith thinks so and has filed a federal lawsuit that could end the cruel use of thousands of animals used in experimentation. Go to PETA.org for more. The PETA Podcast PETA, the world's largest animal rights organization, is 6.5 million strong and growing. This is the place to find out why. Hear from insiders, thought leaders, activists, investigators, politicians, and others why animals need more than kindness—they have the right not to be abused or exploited in any way. The Tennessee Assembly has passed a constitutional carry bill and sent it to Governor Lee who has publicly endorsed it and will sign it into law. We congratulate and applaud Tennessee and welcome them to the club. During our Brownells Bullet Points segment we will consider the new AP5 9mm pistols from Century Arms. We will also discuss the numerous parts and upgrades that are available for this MP5 clone. For our SOTG Homeroom from CrossBreed Holsters, we are extremely disappointed and angry to find that the 9th Circuit Court has once more failed the people and sided with the totalitarian state.  Do you believe that 14th Century British Law applies to the United States in 2021?
