Today on Uncommon Sense, we're discussing the ongoing controversy surrounding the Epstein files, its blackmail, the political implications of Charlie Kirk's assassination, and the growing conflict between Israel and Iran. We'll also talk about the influence of powerful Israeli interests on American foreign policy and ask whether the United States is being drawn into another Middle Eastern war against the will of its own citizens (and at our cost, yet again).--https://www.youversion.com/bible-app
Today on Uncommon Sense, we're discussing the tragic state of the modern world. From the protests in Ireland to growing frustration across Western nations, many people feel as though their voices are no longer being heard by the institutions that claim to represent them. I'll share why I support the right of people to protest and why I believe the demonstrations in Ireland have resonated with so many people around the world. We'll also discuss what I see as a deeper spiritual crisis affecting modern society. Many of the political, cultural, and social problems we face today are symptoms of a broader moral and spiritual decline, one that cannot be solved through politics alone. In this episode:My thoughts on the protests in IrelandWhy so many citizens now feel disconnected from their governmentsThe growing divide between ordinary people and powerful institutionsThe role of faith, morality, and personal responsibility in rebuilding societyWhy I believe many of today's crises point to a deeper spiritual battleWhether you agree or disagree, this episode is an invitation to think critically about the direction of our culture, our governments, and our future.--https://www.youversion.com/bible-app
Today on Uncommon Sense, we're discussing what may be the most consequential political moment of Donald Trump's career. With Trump's approval ratings slipping, the Iran conflict escalating, renewed questions surrounding the Epstein files, and the assassination of Charlie Kirk continuing to reverberate through the conservative movement, many Americans are asking whether these events are isolated, or part of a much larger story. In this episode, I examine the connections I believe may exist between these developments, including my view that the Epstein files may have been used as leverage against powerful political figures and that foreign interests have exerted significant influence over American policy in the Middle East. We'll discuss:Trump's declining support among his baseThe growing controversy surrounding U.S. involvement with IranThe unanswered questions surrounding the Epstein filesThe political impact of Charlie Kirk's assassination and its aftermathWhy I believe these stories intersect in ways the mainstream media refuses to exploreMy goal is not to tell you what to think, but to encourage you to question narratives, follow incentives, and examine who benefits from the decisions being made in Washington.--https://www.bible.com/

In today's episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, I'm sharing my thoughts on a range of current events, along with answering a few listener questions. We'll be discussing recent developments and conversations surrounding Donald Trump, the ongoing discussions around the Epstein files, and a widely talked-about moment involving Pete Hegseth and his public citation of a fake Bible verse from Pulp Fiction. CRINGE.I also take time to talk about something deeper than headlines: the importance of both men and women returning to a biblical worldview, embracing truth, and honoring God-ordained gender roles in a culture that often blurs or rejects them entirely.--https://www.bible.com/

Patrick Henningsen's work spans on-the-ground coverage in places like Syria and Iraq, alongside founding 21st Century Wire and contributing to outlets like UK Column News, all while advocating for free speech and a truly independent press. Our discussion moves through how narratives take shape through propaganda, the war in Iran, why modern media environments strip away nuance, and how experiences surrounding events like the Iraq War shifted his understanding of power and public perception. Attention is also given to the cost of challenging consensus during COVID-19, especially for those unwilling to self-censor in the face of institutional pressure. At its core, this is an exploration of media literacy, the role of independent journalism, and what it takes to think clearly in a landscape shaped by competing narratives and hidden incentives. You'll learn:[00:00] Introduction[03:49] An art degree and Soviet propaganda prepared Patrick for everything[15:53] Why he went all-in on COVID truth when everyone else got silent[29:51] What Patrick saw in Iran the week before the bombs dropped[38:06] The playbook they ran inside Iran before the bombs fell[01:02:17] Everything Americans think about Iran's government is backwards[01:42:06] Soldiers described their orders in Gaza, and it's on paper[02:11:48] Is the US actually in control of its own foreign policy?[02:38:47] Why Iran won't break and what the energy war is really about[02:55:23] What war always costs the people who didn't start itResources mentioned:Monkeypox Mania Summit | Websilte The Highwire with Del Bigtree episode on STEEP TERRAIN | Website The Perimeter | DocumentFind more from Patrick:Patrick Henningsen | XSupport our independent media platform - Donate or Subscribe at 21st Century Wire.Find more from Alec:Alec Zeck | InstagramAlec Zeck | XThe Way Forward | InstagramDonate to The Way Forward here. The Way Forward is Sponsored By:PACHA Sourdough: The wheat-free, sprouted buckwheat bread that actually digests well. In Part 2 of my conversation with Stacy M., we continue pulling back the curtain on Freemasonry and examining the questions most people are told not to ask.If the organization is simply a harmless fraternity, why so much secrecy? Why the elaborate rituals, layered symbolism, and strict oaths? And why have so many influential leaders throughout history been tied to it?In this episode, we dig deeper into the structure of Freemasonry, the meaning behind its rituals and symbols, and the concerns many Christians and researchers have raised about its spiritual and cultural influence. We also discuss why criticism of the organization is often quickly dismissed—and why that reaction alone should make people more curious, not less. This conversation isn't about sensationalism. It's about discernment. When powerful institutions operate largely out of public view yet intersect with leadership, culture, and faith, they deserve thoughtful examination. The goal isn't to tell people what to think, but to encourage them to start asking questions for themselves.--https://www.youversion.com/bible-app
Today on Uncommon Sense, I'm joined by Stacy M. for a conversation that too many people are afraid (or unwilling) to have. We're discussing Freemasonry: what it is, what it claims to be, and the darker, more sinister elements that often get brushed aside or ignored entirely. From secrecy and symbolism to influence and power, we're asking the questions that rarely get real answers. Why has this secret society maintained such a strong presence for so long? Why does it seem to intersect so frequently with positions of power—including within our own government? And most importantly… why aren't more people talking about it?This episode isn't about blind accusations, it's about awareness. If something holds influence, operates behind closed doors, and shapes culture or leadership in any capacity, it deserves scrutiny. It's time to start paying attention and asking better questions.--https://www.youversion.com/bible-app

I asked Tom Barnett to talk about Natural Law in the 2025 edition of the Confluence Festival, and his presentation called “The Offer” didn't disappoint. His path into natural law, self-sovereignty, and personal responsibility began long before he even knew those words existed. Growing up in Australia, Tom constantly questioned the limits of freedom and democracy, often finding himself in conflict with authority while trying to understand why the world felt so inconsistent and unfair. His background in holistic health, spanning sports performance, nutrition, psychology, emotional patterns, and spiritual lessons, deepened during a long personal battle with chronic fatigue that eventually pushed him to explore consciousness, natural lore, and the deeper laws shaping reality. This presentation explores how the hero's journey applies to modern life, the difference between lawful and legal systems, and why true change may begin with confronting our own inner government. If we want a different world, the first step might be remembering who we actually are. You'll Learn:[00:00] Introduction[12:24] How law, lore, and story all connect[20:11] Why natural law is the "great leveler" and what that means for your standing [27:25] How Tom overcame 20 years of chronic fatigue[44:38] Why going fully private is a trap, and what mastering both worlds actually looks like[50:32] Your name is not you, and the pop quiz that proves it[01:00:45] Ancient knowledge was never destroyed, it's waiting in counter space[01:08:50] The difference between a grounded no and a fearful refusal[01:20:41] Why breathwork is just the beginning, and how to reach the essence beneath intentLearn more about Tom:The Humble Kingdom | WebsiteThe Humble Kingdom | InstagramTom Barnett | FacebookTom Barnett | InstagramFind more from Alec:Alec Zeck | InstagramAlec Zeck | XThe Way Forward | InstagramThe Way Forward is Sponsored By:PACHA Sourdough: The wheat-free, sprouted buckwheat bread that actually digests well. Gavin Baker is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Atreides Management, which oversees $7 billion across public, private, and crossover strategies focused on technology and the consumer. Gavin's deep knowledge of semiconductors and AI may be second to none, but our conversation barely touches the space. We begin with Gavin's upbringing, intellectual curiosity, and path to investing, before turning to the beliefs that shape his approach. We explore his view that investing is a search for truth best pursued through debate, intellectual honesty, and a willingness to be wrong, and why people, culture, execution, and risk management matter more than investment process in driving long-term performance. We then turn to the application of those beliefs at Atreides, where Gavin emphasizes the importance of deep fundamental understanding, hypothesis-driven research, and culture that rewards constructive disagreement. We discuss how crossover investing can create informational and behavioral advantages - particularly in AI - and how portfolio construction in both hedge funds and venture capital can narrow the gap between insight and performance. As a disclaimer, I am both an LP and an advisor to Atreides, so I'm a little biased in my suspicion that you will really enjoy this conversation with Gavin Baker. On episode 7 of Data Renegades, CL Kao and Dori Wilson sit down with Bryan Bischof to explore his journey from pure mathematics to building real-world ML systems. The conversation also covers modern data tools, visualization limits, and the realities of “self-serve” analytics.
This episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson covers the conversations people don't want to have, but that won't go away just because they're uncomfortable. We start with the newly released Epstein files and why their implications are being downplayed, rushed past, or deliberately blurred by our government. Then we address the circulating TPUSA / Erika Kirk / Charlie Kirk assassination-related news, breaking down what has actually been reported, what remains unclear, and why responsible people should care about facts, timelines, and accountability (as Candace Owens does). Truth matters, not carefully crafted false narratives.I also speak candidly about Trump's failures because blind loyalty helps no one, and criticism is not betrayal. If leadership is going to demand trust, it has to earn it. Same goes for respect. Finally, because many of you have asked, I address some personal matters: ongoing unwanted attention from men I have clearly and firmly removed from my life, including an individual by the name of Timothy Ronald C. (I will reveal his full legal name publicly if he does not leave me alone) and an ex whose post-NFL career implosions are not my responsibility to manage, nor care about. To be clear: this is not “dragging” solely for entertainment purposes. This is about boundaries I have made (which are very known). I am in a happy, healthy relationship, I have moved on, and these men will never see me again. This episode is about truth, discernment, and refusing to be bullied—politically, culturally, or personally—into silence. This is America, home of the brave and land of the FREE.--https://www.bible.com/
In this episode of Acta Non Verba, host Marcus Aurelius Anderson examines one of philosophy's most provocative questions: Was Seneca a hypocrite? Through the lens of Stoic philosophy and Roman history, Marcus explores the dangerous cognitive trap of hypocrisy bias and challenges listeners to examine their own inconsistencies before judging others. Episode Highlights [0:45] The Seneca Question: Was the wealthy Roman philosopher who forced loans on conquered peoples truly living by Stoic principles, or was he a hypocrite? [2:10] Understanding Hypocrisy Bias: How our tendency to judge others' inconsistencies more harshly than our own blinds us to truth and derails meaningful discussions. [6:16] The Marcus Aurelius Paradox: Even the revered philosopher-emperor struggled with anger daily and made questionable decisions like allowing his son Commodus to take power. [7:38] 30-Day Reflection Challenge: Three critical questions to examine your own hypocrisy, how you judge others, and whether imperfect messengers can still deliver truth. In this episode of Acta Non Verba, host Marcus Aurelius Anderson sits down with JC Glick, retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and CEO of the Commit Foundation, for a deep conversation about leadership, transformation, and the power of questioning our assumptions. They explore how multiple truths can exist simultaneously, the dangers of concrete thinking in a complex world, and why being willing to be wrong takes more courage than being right. The discussion moves from philosophy and cognitive bias to veteran transition, AI as a thought partner, and the critical difference between transition and transformation. Episode Highlights [3:33] The Philosophy Tree: JC proposes creating a "philosophy tree" tracing Tony Blauer's influence on modern warrior-philosophers and discusses why Tony deserves recognition as a philosopher, not just a self-defense expert. [6:49] Multiple Truths Exist: JC challenges the idea that you must stand firmly on everything, arguing that multiple truths can exist simultaneously and that your truth doesn't make someone else's false. [34:49] Transition vs. Transformation: JC explains the critical difference: "Transitions happen to you. Transformation is a deliberate process with a desired outcome." He uses the powerful metaphor of turning a can into a Tesla. [46:00] AI as Hybrid Intelligence: The conversation shifts to AI's potential as an equity builder and thought partner rather than an answer machine, with JC advocating for "hybrid intelligence" that superpowers human thinking. JC Glick is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with 11 combat tours in the 75th Ranger Regiment and Asymmetrical Warfare Group. As CEO of the Commit Foundation, he leads a transformational organization helping special operations veterans, their spouses, intelligence community members, and allied forces reconstruct their identity and purpose beyond military service. JC is the author of Meditations of an Army Ranger and A Light in the Darkness, and contributes regularly to Forbes on topics of resilience, innovation, and purposeful human connection. His work is grounded in evidence-based adult development theory and focuses on helping individuals transform rather than simply transition. In this third edition of the Truth Warrior Roundtable, we sit down with David Whitehead and Matt Presti to tackle one of the most turbulent moments in recent memory — the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the shockwaves it sent through the “truth” community. We break down the reactions on both the left and the right, the flood of conspiracy claims surrounding the event, and how Israel once again became a central point of debate in the aftermath. This conversation goes beyond headlines to address the deeper war on consciousness itself — why people struggle to hold uncertainty, the consequences of irresponsible speech, the role of faith and resilience in times of tragedy, and how to stay grounded in evidence and individualism rather than clickbait and emotional manipulation.Time Stamps(00:00) Episode Teaser(00:36) Opening Conversation(03:25) Guest Introductions(09:12) Discussion on Current Events and Truth Seeking(11:14) Reactions to Charlie Kirk's Assassination(17:19) Conspiracy Theories and Media Influence(42:00) Candace Owens(47:35) The Importance of Reason and Truth-Seeking(50:02) The Role of Influencers and Propaganda(52:52) The Complexity of Middle Eastern Politics(56:21) The Roots of Antisemitism and Historical Context(01:02:36) Judaism, Christianity, and Islam: Philosophical Differences(01:11:42) The Talmud Misconceptions(01:15:27) The Dangers of Collective Blame(01:30:50) The Pursuit of Truth vs. Being Right(01:32:07) The State of America and Government Actions(01:34:58) The Influence of Communism and Historical Parallels(01:36:40) Metaphysics vs. Physical Solutions(01:39:07) The Role of Religion in Society(01:42:39) Concerns About Christian Revival and Theocracy(01:51:12) The Power of the Individual vs. The Collective(01:56:47) Closing Thoughts on Individuality and FreedomGuest Linkshttps://www.dwtruthwarrior.com/ https://dwtruthwarrior.substack.com/ https://mattpresti.substack.com/ https://www.mattpresti.com/ Connect with UsJoin our membership Friends of the TruthSubscribe to Here for the Truth FridaysWatch Joel's Presentation: “Myths to Awaken the Soul”Take the Real AF Test NowDiscover Your Truth Seeker ArchetypeWatch all our episodesConnect with us on TelegramAccess all our links

In this episode of Crazy Wisdom, I, Stewart Alsop, speak with Thamir Ali Al-Rahedi, host of the From First Principles podcast on YouTube, about the nature of questions and answers, their role in business and truth-seeking, and the trade-offs inherent in technologies like AI. We explore the tension between generalists and specialists, the influence of scientism on culture, and how figures like Steve Jobs embodied the power of questions to shape markets and innovations. Thamir also shares insights from his Arabic book summary platform and his cautious approach to using large language models. You can find Thamir's work on YouTube at From 1st Principles with Thamir and on X at @Thamir's View.Check out this GPT we trained on the conversationTimestamps00:00 Stewart Alsop introduces Thamir Ali Al-Rahedi and they discuss Stewart's book on the nature of questions, curiosity, and shifting his focus to questions in business.05:00 They explore how questions generate value and answers capture it, contrasting dynamic questioning with static certainty in business and philosophy.10:00 The market is described as a subconscious feedback loop, and they examine the role of truth-seeking in entrepreneurship, using Steve Jobs as an example.15:00 Discussion turns to Steve Jobs' spiritual practices, LSD, and how unseen factors and focus shaped Apple's success.20:00 Thamir and Stewart debate starting with spiritual or business perspectives in writing, touching on the generalist curse and discernment in creative work.25:00 They reflect on writing habits, moving from short-form to long-form, and using AI as a thinking partner or tool.30:00 Thamir shares his cautious approach to large language models, viewing them as trade-offs, and discusses building an Arabic book summary platform to inspire reading and curiosity.Key InsightsThe dynamic interplay of questions and answers – Thamir Ali Al-Rahedi explains that questions generate value by opening possibilities, while answers capture and stabilize that value. He sees the best answers as those that spark even more questions, creating a feedback loop of insight rather than static certainty.Business and philosophy demand different relationships to truth – In business, answers often serve as the foundation for action and revenue generation, requiring a “false sense of certainty.” By contrast, philosophy thrives in uncertainty, allowing questions to remain open-ended and exploratory without the pressure to resolve them. The market as a subconscious mirror – Both Thamir and Stewart Alsop describe the market as a form of truth that reflects not only conscious desires but also subconscious patterns and impulses. This understanding reframes economic behavior as a dialogue between collective psychology and external systems.Steve Jobs as a case study of truth-seeking in entrepreneurship – The conversation highlights Steve Jobs's blend of spiritual exploration and technological vision, including his exposure to Eastern philosophy and LSD, as an example of how deep questioning and unconventional insight can manifest in world-changing innovations.AI as a double-edged tool for generalists – Thamir views large language models with caution, seeing them as highly specific tools that risk outsourcing critical thinking if used too early in the learning process. He frames technologies as trade-offs rather than pure solutions, emphasizing the importance of retaining one's cognitive autonomy. The generalist's curse and the art of discernment – Both guests wrestle with how to focus and finish creative projects without sacrificing breadth. Thamir suggests writing medium-length pieces as a way to engage deeply without the paralysis of long-form commitments, while Stewart reflects on how AI accelerates his exploration of open threads.A call for cultural renewal through reading and reflection – Thamir shares his initiative to build an Arabic book summary platform aimed at reviving reading habits, especially among younger audiences. He sees curated human-written content as a gateway to generalist thinking and a counterbalance to instant, algorithm-driven consumption.

A central duality appears in the work of Henri Cole: the revelation of emotional truths in concert with a “symphony of language” — often accompanied by arresting similes. We are excited to offer this conversation between Pádraig and Henri, recorded during the 2022 Dodge Poetry Festival in Newark, New Jersey. Together, they discuss the role of animals in Henri's work, the pleasure of aesthetics in poetry, and writing as a form of revenge against forgetting.Henri Cole was born in Fukuoka, Japan and raised in Virginia. He has published many collections of poetry and received numerous awards for his work, including the Jackson Poetry Prize, the Kingsley Tufts Award, the Rome Prize, the Berlin Prize, the Ambassador Book Award, the Lenore Marshall Award, and the Medal in Poetry from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His most recent books are a memoir, Orphic Paris (New York Review Books, 2018), Blizzard (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2020), and Gravity and Center: Selected Sonnets, 1994-2022 (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2023). From 2010 to 2014, he was poetry editor of The New Republic. He teaches at Claremont McKenna College and lives in Boston.Find the transcript for this show at onbeing.org.
The war on boys has been unfolding for decades. Schools largely expect them to behave like girls. But they aren't designed that way, It's long past time for parents to raise strong, responsible, masculine young men and reject the weak and passive example promoted by our toxic culture.Today, Sara welcomes actor Kevin Sorbo to discuss the crisis surrounding American boys, the left's relentless gender confusion agenda, and how parents can fight back and raise strong boys.Sorbo was blacklisted from Hollywood for standing up for his Christian beliefs. He now produces his own films and is the author of the brand new children's book, "The Test of Lionhood." It encourages boys to embrace their masculinity, take on difficult challenges, and prepare to be men who will lead their families and communities well. Please visit our great sponsors:Allegiance Goldhttps://protectwithsara.comClick or Call 877-702-7272 to tell them Sara sent you and get $5,000 of free silver on a qualifying purchase.
