This week Taylor and Abby begin the episode trying to get to the bottom of why Taylor isn’t excited about her birthday this year. They predict this weekend Whorecast with your bi-weekly Whorescopes. Taylor surprises Abby with two unexpected guests that leaves Abby speechless and tbh terrifed. They then iniate a new member into the Hot Virgin Club that involves a high speed cop car chase while driving completely naked. Our fuckboy moment of the week introduces a new segment: Please unf**ck me aka all those hookups you wish never happened. Preparing to go to home for thanksgiving break our Disaster Roommate segment is all about living with your parents during break and how awful it truly can be.
This week Taylor and Abby open the show with an update on their current dating lives. From a sugar daddy catfish, to a “rather be anywhere other than here” third date, things are obviously going well. They then predict this weekend’s Whorecast by reading the Whorescopes of the week. Another Off Campus fan is initiated into the Hot Virgin Club, sharing a story about she losing her v-card on Trump’s inauguration day (yikes). This week’s Disaster Roommates are extremely cheap and quite literally VERY shitty. They close out the show with an extreme ghosting situation from a listener email that takes the cake for the Fuckboy Moment Of The Week.
We at Kinktra In The Raw VOTE Siouxie Q for president, in this episode this most phenomenal woman takes us all to school as she addresses the dangers surrounding SESTA -FOSTA and brings to the forefront a broad range of topics such as transgender issues, sexuality, politics, and pornography. She shares her journey into the adult industry but most importantly her passion for raising awareness for the rights of sex workers, sex educators, and the overall sex industry. Siouxie currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee and continues to write, perform, and fight for sex worker’s rights at the local, state, and national levels. So grab a pen and paper take notes and be aware of the current injustice taking over our now highly suppressed nation. About Siouxie Q In 2010, Siouxsie Q left her retail job and began dancing at The Lusty Lady Theater, a unionized peep-show in San Francisco. Shortly after, she began her career as a sex worker while living in Inner Richmond, commuting to an apartment in East Bay to conduct business. Initially using the Internet primarily as a marketing tool, Siouxsie has stated that podcasts have "really transformed how I do business." By 2012, she had settled into her career and, at the urging of her boyfriend, began a regular, biweekly podcast as a way to speak out against California’s Proposition 35, Measure B. Originally called, “This American Whore,” the podcast’s name was eventually changed to “The WhoreCast” after a dispute with "This American Life," the public radio program. After the passing of Proposition 35, the podcast was expanded to cover a broad range of topics. In 2013, she was featured on CNN after organizing an Obamacare registration drive dubbed the “Healthy Ho’s Party.” The event, designed to encourage sex workers to enroll in newly established insurance exchanges, was declared a success, with nearly 40 attendees filing enrollment paperwork. “As someone who has done sex work activism full time for years, I’ve found that in order to not burn out in this fight, I have to be having gross pervy sex, just living the ho life. Otherwise WTF are we fighting for?” // Recorded live at the Pleasure Chest in West Hollywood Los Angeles May 2018, this panel features Siouxsie Q and Carly D. Three drama queen sex educators in WeHo discuss the politics of sexual freedom and then exercise it to the extreme! // Discover how to be a high status princess, how to follow the narrative arc of gaping, why the office of POTUS is the ultimate in power bottoming, what Siouxsie and Tina would do if they were stuck in an elevator and both had to pee, how turning housework into a sex game makes invisible labor visible, how to be a valeDICKtorian, and why people are into pigs, tunnel plugs, double penetration, ass to mouth, giant novelty cocks, and more! Also a very special guest appearance by Damien Bathory explaining the appeal of scat. // Writer, advocate, and performer Siouxsie Q has been an outspoken leader in the sex worker rights movement since 2012 when she launched her popular podcast, The WhoreCast, garnering national attention. Her first book, Truth Justice, and the American Whore was released in May of 2016, and her writing and perspectives have been featured in Wired, Alternet, CNN, Rolling Stone, National Public Radio and many more. Her sex column, The Whore Next Door, ran in the SF Weekly from 2014 until last year when she relocated to Los Angeles, to lead adult film performers in a historic win against the noxious California Proposition 60. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee and continues write, perform, and fight for sex workers rights at the local, state, and national levels. // Carly D. Weckstein is a sex educator and theatre director who works as the Junior Buyer at The Pleasure Chest stores. Raised by two Bay-Area gynecologists, she has a passion for empowering people through knowledge of their own bodies. In our culture of so many damaging and contradicting messages around sexuality, she believes that deep healing and joy can be found through re-claiming sex on your own terms. Carly loves teaching about communication, consent, orgasm, kink/BDSM and roleplay. When she's not talking to people about sex, she's busy running a feminist theatre ensemble in Los Angeles. What's all the fuss lately about Hot Girls Wanted? What's a greater threat to women: sex work, or other women who want to rescue sex workers? What does (and doesn't) make porn feminist? We get into all this and more with Siouxsie Q, host of The Whorecast and Director of Policy & Industry Relations for the Free Speech Coalition. Patreons who support with just $3 per month and above get exclusive weekly bonus content, too. Literally, every pledge sends me into an excited squeal of delight. patreon.com/sgrpodcast I am reading a devastating, lyrical book called "Abandon Me" by Melissa Febos. I'm desperately working to get her on the show soon to talk about her memoir (and her former work as a dominatrix). In the meantime, this week's show is a fun, informative interview with Siouxsie Q. We dive into her work with the Free Speech Coalition combatting harmful anti-porn, anti-sex work laws, including talking about what we can do, as consumers of porn, to help protect workers in the industry. You'll be especially horrified at the new set of laws sweeping the U.S. in the wake of the "porn health crisis" that everyone is freaking out about - with zero evidence, I might add. Then we talk about why porn is her favorite, what her parents think of her adult industry career, and we wrap up our chat fielding some listener questions about polyamory and non-monogamy. Oh! And we dive into why sex is magic and why sex workers are some of the most powerful beings on earth. LOVE IT. It's a blast, Siouxsie is so sweet and smart, and I know you're going to love it. Don't forget to send in your sex confessions! I created a guidelines page for you. March & April's theme will be messes! Follow Sex Gets Real on Twitter and Facebook. It's true. Oh! And Dawn is on Instagram. About Siouxsie Q Siouxsie got her start in the business dancing at the unionized Lusty Lady Theater in San Francisco, and has worked as a performer in adult films since 2012, garnering two AVN Award Nominations and a Feminist Porn Award. During that time, she has been an unrelenting advocate for the rights of all sex workers. Siouxsie Q is an author, weekly columnist for SF Weekly, and the creator of The Whorecast, a podcast network showcasing the diverse voices of the adult industry. She has lectured extensively on sex and sex work, and is regularly quoted and featured in the mainstream media, including CNN, USA Today, Cosmopolitan, Wired, Buzzfeed and America with Jorge Ramos. Her first book, Truth, Justice, and the American Whore, was published this year through 3L Media to rave reviews. She joined The Free Speech Coalition, the trade association of the adult industry, in May of 2016, to help them soundly defeat both Cal/Osha Regulation 5193.1, and Proposition 60, both of which would have put adult film performers at immense risk. She recently has returned to performing in adult films, and is excited to continue campaigning for the rights of adult industry workers, specifically through combatting the harmful wave of legislation declaring pornography to be a "public health crisis." It's been incredible creating these talks, so I hope you'll check it out. It all starts March 8th, 2017. And... Because I've been conducting so so so many intense, deep interviews, I wanted to take a break and make this week nice and easy - you and me, powering through a ton of listener emails and keeping it casual and intimate. So, what are we talking about this week? Mike ALWAYS gives his wife an orgasm and the last three times they've had sex, she hasn't cum. Will it happen again? What can he do? Deb is a bottom but her husband wants her to top him sometimes. Can she find a way to enjoy being dominant? Ali wants more information on how people become strippers. I'm not a sex worker, so I can't speak to this, but I do reflect on some previous conversations with folks like Andre Shakti, Madison Young, Kitty Stryker. Big Vulva wrote in about how she feels about the way her labia look and it's wonderful. Plus, I get called out for an ageist comment, someone wants to know how common CFNM fantasties are, Mary wonders about whether anal sex will ever feel good for her, and can a porn addict husband be trusted to watch porn with his wife? I am a blithering fangirl for Siouxsie Q’s podcast The Whorecast – in many ways, it continues to inspire me to make YAPIT. When Siouxsie and I met at Catalyst Con, we tumbled into predestined JournHOlist/whorenalist love at first sight. We snuggled up with Siouxsie’s prized My Little Pony blanket and Frederick the Bear for a very personal discussion of Age Play. What is the erotic appeal of a consenting adult pretending to be younger than she actually is? Siouxsie was brave enough to open up to me about the Little Girl part of her identity, and how being Little affects her sexuality, her creativity, and her emotional life. I also got to learn what it was like to win San Francisco’s Little Ms Little contest! LISTEN:
Siouxsie Q joins us from her popular Whorecast podcast. The podcast that's all about the sex industry. We talk about her struggles with Ira Glass and the original name of her podcast being This American Whore. Ira Glass is the host of a very popular radio show and podcast both titled "This American Life." She talks about lawyers and branding and being invited on CNN. She's a fan of SModcast and The Theater as well as geeky stuff like Star Trek. Siouxsie Q was a pleasure to have on. This is a not entirely accurately-titled podcast, in that the whoring only takes place over a couple of songs at the tail end and does not at all influence any of the rest of the playlist. What am I talking about, you ask? Well when I played a few trendy songs a few months back the listership of the podcast doubled over the course of a few weeks. I noticed this back when I was a bit more rigorous about the blog in the early days: if I reviewed high-profile new releases in the week of release it generated a large spike in readership. So I've dropped a couple of very hype-friendly songs into the end of this podcast to see if that actually has any influence on anything at all. I found nice ones - ones I actually like, I mean - so don't worry, your normally glittering listening experience will not be tarnished one bit. But bear in mind that this week we are all the guineau pigs in a silly internet hit-whoring experiment. Sorry. Toadcast #125 - The Whorecast 01. Burnt Ones - Sunset Hill (03.46) 02.
