Semaine très festivalière comme souvent sur Tsugi Radio avec bien sûr Pitchfork Music Festival Paris qui se lance ce soir avec à l'Olympia, Blood Orange, au Trabendo Self Esteem et à l'Élysée Montmartre, Saya Gray. Mais nous dans Place des Fêtes ce soir, on prend le train pour Roubaix où se tiendra à partir de demain la 10ème édition d'un festival qu'on suit avec fidélité à Tsugi Radio, le Crossroads Festival. Nos deux Normands, Angèle Chatelier et Rémi Pierre, seront jeudi à 18h en direct de la Condition Publique pour vous faire vivre cette édition anniversaire… Roubaix, ville du Nord, des Hauts de France, pas très loin d'Amiens où La Lune des Pirates, la SMAC de la ville a découvert un diamant brut, lauréat du Prix du Jury des Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges, 40èmes du nom, Pierre et la Rose.

Bonjour à tout le monde, Bienvenue dans le Campus Local Club l'émission du réseau Radio Campus France qui part à la découverte des djs et collectifs de nos villes. Ce nouvelle épisode nous dépose à Angers à la découverte du collectif 112 VKRM Avec pour cri de Ralliement un nom qui associe le numéro d'urgence et la contraction de « vacarme », l'idée est de remuer la scène angevine en pleine mutation. Le collectif a pour vocation de développer une dynamique collective et fédérer des DJ d'horizons différents, tout en donnant de la visibilité aux femmes et aux minorités de genre dans les musiques actuelles. Il s'est formé en 2023, suite à un atelier en non mixité « monte ton dj set », qui a eu lieu lors du « Elle festival » ; un festival dédié à l'égalité des genres dans les musiques actuelles organisé par la SMAC le Chabada. Il grandi grâce une mise à disposition du matériel de mix du bar Le Garage avant de se constitué en association composé d'une dizaine de personnes qui ont depuis gagné en autonomie et visibilité. Co-fondatrice du collectif 112 VKRM, Micro Vegas mixe un son hybride plutôt nerveux, sautillant et abrasif. Ses dj set peuvent osciller entre ambiance expérimentale et cinématographique, aux croisements des musiques ambient et drone. Mais le plus souvent ses sélections se construisent entre Bass Music, Juke, Ghetto-Tech et autres rythmiques technoïde dans cette mouvance club déconstruite qui se revendiquent queer et militante comme un pont entre la création et les questions liés à l'intersectionalité des luttes. Ses mélanges sonores sont empreints d'influences très marqués par les nouvelles musiques urbaines comme le reggaeton, la baile funk ou les déclinaisons rapides de trap/jersey club entre autres. Dans ses sets, pas de ligne droite : virages et secousses souterraines sont le fil rouge sinueux d'une inviation au lacher-prise tout en surprise. Un son rugueux et musclé qui ne laisse personne de marbre. La danse comme un acte politique et surtout une bonne raison d'écouter Micro Vegas dans cette prochaine heure. Elles délivrent des expériences à la fois glaçante et soyeuse entre dark-disco langoureuse et techno obscure. Mais elle est aussi à l'aise en solo comme en témoigne cette heure à suivre. Elle a été puiser dans une sélection brain-dance avec un tempo assez lent et des morceaux à l'atmosphère dub entre autres sonorités UK. Jeanne Dark nous invite à une danse ténébreuse où s'entremêlent des breaks dubstep souterrains et des percussions vivifiantes qui installent un jeu d'ombres et de lumières distillant une ambiance quasi mystique. Since we were last on air in June, the US government has announced what it calls a comprehensive internal review of activities at eight of the 21 museums under the umbrella of the Smithsonian Institution. Meanwhile, one of those museums, the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., saw the artist Amy Sherald cancel a long-scheduled exhibition of her work, citing censorship and institutional fear of the US government. Ben Luke talks to Ben Sutton, The Art Newspaper's editor-in-chief in the Americas, about Donald Trump and his administration's growing interference in museums, and whether Sherald's act of resistance is an outlier or a marker of a wider art world response. The first major art fair of the new season, Frieze Seoul, is happening this week in the South Korean capital, after a period of political turmoil there. Our correspondent in Asia, Lisa Movius, visits the fair and gauges the mood. And this episode's Work of the Week is Technology/Transformation: Wonder Woman (1978-79), by Dara Birnbaum. This landmark of video art is part of a new exhibition at San Marco Art Centre, or SMAC, a new space in the Procuratie Vecchie in St Mark's Square, Venice. The show, called The Quantum Effect, explores the work of several leading contemporary artists in the context of quantum theory.
