And it's over. I don't know if you had noticed but 2019 is officially history. The keen eyed among you probably notice these kinds of events but it took us a whole month to realise and get a podcast out. In this episode we are going to run through some of the highlight games we played in 2019. George finally played Red Dead Redemption 2, so there is a big bit of chat about that game. Nevi also sings the praises of Sekiro and Hollow Knight. While Gav talks about games that I've forgotten while writing this. If I remember I will add them at the end, if not then that's a nice surprise for you isn't it?

So it's a little late, but we were faster than last year. At this rate, we'll release a UKGE podcast on time in just 7 years! Anyway... Once again, Nevi and George went off to Birmingham to try a load of board games and on this episode they're reporting back on what they played. It's an episode packed with mild takes on some of 2019's most real board games. Gav is here too and one day he'll probably actually play a board game. In the episode you'll hear about: Age of Sigmar Champions, Undaunted: Normandy Museums Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel: A Board Game of English Magic One Month Later On the Underground Raid on Takao Imperial Settlers Roll & Write Smash City Donning the Purple The Menace Among Us, Blood on the Clocktower

And, Talkthrough is back. It's been what, nearly a year? But here I am, with a Talkthrough of The Citadel of Chaos. This book added magic and all the additional choices that come with those otherworldly powers. Thankfully, this episode features far less going mad in a cave - I think The Warlock of Firetop Mountain scared me a little. I now have every intention to continue this podcast series, but I said that last time so I won't make any promises. Anyway, enjoy the Talkthrough and let me know if you've managed to conquer The Citadel of Chaos.

And, we're back again. In episode 24, we are talking a lot about turn-based strategy games including: X-COM 2, Mutant Year Zero, Phoenix Point and something else I've surely forgotten. George and Gav have also been playing Risk of Rain 2 which sounds excellent. Earlier this month, George also had quite a sleepy time at EGX Rezzed and tells us all the things he played and why he was just so sleepy. After all the game chat, we make our grand return to quizzing. George has prepared a quiz all about the 1001 games to play before you die. You can join in our outrage as certain games are excluded and insane games are included. Enjoy!

We also discuss two seminars - From Sketch to Store Shelves and Data Mining BoardGameGeek. http://dvatvani.github.io/BGG-Analysis-Part-1.html After the AireCon 5 discussion, George tells us about two small box games he's been playing - Decrypto and High Society. And then, Gav shares a story about a time he played DnD. Once all the chat is over, we play a few rounds of Billionaire Banshee. It's our silky smooth voices, the fact that we can ramble on about video games for hours at a time and how we always end up talking about either The Witcher 3 or Metal Gear Solid V, isn't it? Well not today. Today we stay roughly on track. Firstly, Gav and George chat about Apex Legends. Secondly, the double G's have an intervention with me (Nevi) about why I keeping buying and owning dead game systems. And nextly, we end with some chat about the new Pokemon Sword and Shield games that will be set on these fair isles - minus Wales. There's a new Star Wars game by Respawn Will Fallout:76 be ruined by griefers? How faithfully will Forza Horizons recreate the M25 as the racer moves to the UK? Missing the opportunity for a joke about being able to kiss people in Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Love Island. Smash Brothers now features every brother that ever smashed. Here is a 'Talkthrough' of me playing The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. This is the classic Fighting Fantasy book that started the series. In this podcast, I read through the entire book - or at least as much as you can in a single playthrough.  There is a part in the middle where I get horribly lost and start to lose my mind so I won't hold anything against you if you skip past this section. Trust me it was a lot longer before the edit, but there still a lot of me going "Have I been this way? I've definitely not been this way. Oh wait, yes I have." but if you are happy to listen to a 27-year-old man go insane while reading a book, then enjoy. There is a plan to 'Talkthrough' more of these books as I have a huge stack of them. The next one will be The Citadel of Chaos. However, if you have a favourite you want me to do, then message us on social media or send us an email and I will try to follow those requests. I'll take a picture of all the books I currently have and then we can go from there. Otherwise, I will probably just do them in order of the ones I own. Anyway, enjoy the podcast. Alright so that is probably mostly things I love about maps, but they are all over video games. This week we couldn't get enough people together to do a proper podcast. Fortunately, there are a few episodes of the oldcast that haven't been reuploaded and here is one of them. In this first ever GamerTime podcast we discuss Street Fighter V and fighting games in general, Mike isn't all that impressed with Unravel, Chris and I talk about the amazing Firewatch, we have some Dying Light chat and finally discuss The Division. A quick reminder that this podcast took place in early 2016, so everything we talk about is out of date but still interesting. Welcome back. Nevi here again and this week I'm joined by Gav and George. After a slightly surreal delve into our sleeping patterns we discuss the recent Dreadnought Beta, the Time Commanders TV show and my new obsession with the PlayStation Vita. We also answer out first listener question. If you have any questions then you can tweet them at the GamerTime Twitter (@GamerTime UK). For those who are interested, I couldn't remember the name of the space sim where you played as a frigate class ship. Anybody got any ideas? Also I multiple times struggle to say Nihilumbra - a mix of nihilism and umbra and not nihilation and umbra like I kept saying. Anyway, enjoy the podcast. Welcome back to the GamerTime podcast. Nevi here and this week I'm joined by Mike and George. Something really weird happened and my recording stopped for about 20 minutes or so, but then picked back up at the end. I think it was because my mic disagreed with my games of the year, so the last part of the podcast might be a little confusing in parts. I've edited it to limit this, but it will still be a bit odd in places. For the actual podcast though: Mike talks about how is disappointed in Planet Coaster, we talk about poor old Titanfall 2, George goes into depth about XCOM 2 and Reigns. Finally we end with our top 3 games of the year (minus mine). If you are interested in them then, then they were Uncharted 4, Orwell and Firewatch in that order from 1-3. Let me know how they stack up to your own. This week it is just Nevi and George, so they've decided to go off the rails and have some board game chatter. They also discuss which video games would make good TV series, if any. George also talks about the indie game Beholder where he plays a landlord who must report on his tenants to a shadowy government - scary stuff. I've just realised that I've written this out backwards to the actual events, but your clever people so you'll figure it out. Bonus point to people who can hear my budgies in the background.
