In a sequel to Out of Mana episode 8, this episode revisits PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale to see where it stands today. Dylan and Travis explore the platform fighters roster and features. Then, they talk about if a sequel is likely and if it did, what would the roster look like? They make a roster of 50 characters, along the way talking about stages and contenders. Then as usual, they close the episode off with the Out of Mana power ranking.LinksDylan on Twitter @DylanMussDylan on Backloggd backloggd.com/u/Rapatika/Travis on Twitter @TravisBSnellEnjoy Ad Free, Early, & Exclusive Episodes! https://www.patreon.com/GeekVerseSupport Our Patreon To Help Us Grow The Podcast & Create New ContentGuest On Shows, Pick Films For Us To Review, Send Topics & More!Get 20% Off Manscaped & Free World Wide Shipping With Our CodeGVPODGeekVerse.ca is where you can find all info on the show and where you can find it!Watch GV News, GV Reviews, & GUA Shows Live On Our Youtubehttps://www.youtube.com/c/GeekVersePodcastCome Chat With The Hosts, Join Our Discord!https://discord.gg/2DMzHRn9Check Out Our Podcast Network, Geek Ultimate Alliance 7 Shows, 5 Days A Week : https://geekverse.ca/geek-ultimate-alliance/Check Out All Of Our Podcast Feeds, GeekVerse Podcast(All Podcasts), Reviews, News, & Retrospective By Searching In Your Podcast App Of ChoiceSocial MediaGeekVerse Podcast on FacebookTwitter @GeekVerseCastTaylor on Twitter @TaylorTheFieldKirklin on Twitter @kirklinpatzer

On this week's episode of IGN's PlayStation podcast, Podcast Beyond!, host Jonathon Dornbush is joined by Matt Kim and Mitchell Saltzman to discuss the latest in the world of PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR. The panel dives into some of the latest PlayStation news, like PlayStation's mobile games interest and Jim Ryan's recent comments about wanting to expand the PlayStation player base, the 5th anniversary of PSVR and some of our favorite PSVR games, and a little bit about what we hope to see in the updates made to PSVR 2 next-gen hardware. But the trio, emboldened by the end of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC fighters, and the release of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, dives into our dream roster list for PlayStation ALl-Stars 2, the unannounced fighting game sequel we hope really gets made some day. We dig into the obvious and deep cut choices we hope to see, what potential from new and old PlayStation franchises could make their way into the roster for a PlayStation All-Star sequel for PS5, and try to explain away some of our strangest choices. Really, we're sorry. Plus, Jonathon speaks with the developers behind JETT: The Far Shore, including its co-creator and composer about bringing its unique adventure to life, Mitchell gives his thoughts on Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and Demon Slayer, and Matt offers preview impressions of his time with Final Fantasy 14 Endwalker content, including FF14's two upcoming new classes and why he and Jonathon think it's worth jumping into Final Fantasy XIV before Endwalker. We also dig into a Memory Card story, and much more! And if you're looking for more places to enjoy the show, check out Podcast Beyond! on all available platforms: https://linktr.ee/podcastbeyond

I am once again joined by my friend Elmo so I can pitch him my idea on what I think the sequel to PlayStation All Stars should be including the story, game modes, and of course, the roster. Will he absolutely, blindly love my idea? Or will he tear it to shreds and suggest another title that doesn't make sense? Lets find out! We are both big PlayStation fans and we hope our insight and perspective will pique your interest.

Welcome to Dissecting This Fiction! It's episode 27, so come join along as my Co-host (Jessica) and I (Steven) go over the latest in movies, tv shows, and games. What's On The Exam Table? In gaming, start mining for gear! Because Minecraft Dungeons finally got a release date and you just might be surprised what consoles will get the game. Sony starts a relief fund against Coronavirus. Could this be tease of a boss battle in a sequel to Playstation All Stars!? Probably not, but it's good for humanity! Sony has also delayed some highly anticipated games, indefinitely. Stay strong gamers! Meanwhile, in the shadows, E3 is planning it's return for 2021. E3 2020 is still dead, but IGN has decided to step in to fill that summer gaming announcement void. Activision is hard at work with the new free to play game mode, Warzone, fighting the fight...banning cheaters. Speaking of Warzone, Steven played it, a lot. Listen to his thoughts, while Jessica curses at Ori and the Blind Forest. In TV, HBO decided to help viewers binge watch some older shows during the pandemic and its free. It's not everything on HBO, but don't worry, we give some suggestions from the list. Here is the full list for reference. TNT is speeding up the release date for their Snowpiercer series. Producers of The Office are busy writing a new show in this quarantine. DIsney hires a new writer for the Kenobi series on Disney Plus. Is the force strong with this new addition? We shall see, someday, in a galaxy far, far away. FOX's Empire gets an ending that nobody expect. Tiger King may be getting another episode dropped in the near future? That's the word of some douche online. In think his name was Low Life or something like that. Speaking of low lives! Steven caught up with Season 10 of Shameless. We also watched another stand-up act about a millennial, Iliza Shlesinger. But she is an elder, if that changes anything for you. In movies, Marvel grabs a writer for Ant Man 3 and replaces the composer for Black Widow. All while rescheduling the entire Phase 4 and 5 line up. Take some notes! Paramount also rescheduled some movies, but forget that, what about Black Widow!? Dwayne Johnson confirms the existence of Hobbs and Shaw 2. It better be called 2 Hobbs 2 Shaw or we riot! Who is with me!? SXSW will redesign this year as an online partnership with Amazon Prime. Listen in to find out what that even means. Lastly, We watched Pixar's Onward, now available on Disney Plus. Come join us while we Dissect This Fiction! We are DTF...are you? You can also find us on DTFcast.com or contact us with any suggestions, requests, or feedback you may have for our podcast. dtfpod@gmail.com

PlayStation All-Stars PART 6, the finale. (Season -07 episode -7 part 06). Alrighty so, this episode featured a 1 or 2 second clip from the song Dogs Were Barking by Gogol Bordello, and seeing as I was already sticking some of that in I just went ahead and made the outro music I Would Never Wanna Be Young Again by that same band, gogol bordello.. The episode also featured a quick, very ear-wormy "look behind the curtain" jingle from another podcast: The Feliz Navipod podcast. Find them and subscribe. it's a good podcast. If you want a place to start, I say find an episode where it's just Tony and Tod hangin out together, no guest. They're my favourites. Ohkay thankyou goodbye.
PlayStation All-Stars PART 5. (Season -07 episode -7 part 05). Music credits: about two seconds of the Azealia Banks song 212, and also that Ravel song that's been in all of them so far.
PlayStation All-Stars PART 4. (Season -07 episode -7 part fore). Was there music in this one? I don't remember. Was this the one where I just talked about metal gear solid 2 for half the length of the episode? That might have been last time I don't know. Man, podcasting is real hard work. Oh boy.
PlayStation All-Stars PART 3. (Season -07 episode -7 part three). Music credits: That Maurice Ravel ditty previously mentioned and also Two Ladies from the Cabaret film soundtrack. Also, to break up the Ravel a little bit, there was a few seconds from Young MA's track BIG in there towards the end. I like Young MA.
PlayStation All-Stars PART 2. (Season -07 episode -7 part two). Next episode in the series! Music credits: the maurice ravel track I credited in the previous episode. intellectual property rights lawyers, just go back and look at that one. There was also a second or two of the song Two Ladies from the Cabaret soundtrack.
PlayStation All-Stars PART 1. (Season -07 episode -7 part 1). Part one of a series of shortish episodes. Music credits: Valses nobles et sentimentales 01. Modéré - très franc, by Maurice Ravel, and Chop Chop Master Onion's Rap from the PaRappa The Rapper soundtrack.
This is it, the culmination of 20 matchups over 11 months, with 40 different PlayStation icons, mascots, and characters. We've come a long way from the starting 11, and now it's time for Emmett Watkins Jr, Graydon Webb, and Josh Miller to look back at each match-up, see which characters got overlooked, and then go into full detail on what a potential PlayStation All-Stars sequel could be. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the Showdown, including Allan Muir and guess contributors Los Harrow's Hunter Davenport, The Trophy Room/Best Friends Talk Funny's Kyle Stevenson and Dualshockers' Cameron Hawkins. And of course, thanks to everyone who voted in each match-up throughout the year. Now all there is to do is wait and pray that PlayStation decides to revive All-Stars for the next generation. What characters do you want to see in a hypothetical PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale 2?
Welcome back to The PlayStation All-Stars Ultimate Roster Showdown! Remember PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale? Despite selling over 1 million copies, DLC support was canceled early on, and the game has been largely forgotten as it's online servers are now closing down. However, there are many PlayStation fans that are hoping for a remaster or even sequel one day, and it is from that love and passion that we created this. Each week, on our official Twitter, we will have a new poll in which we pit two PlayStation icons against each other. Alongside each poll will be an article on the site in which two writers make their case for each of the characters. And finally, every four matchups will get a podcast episode (in this feed) to recap the winners and theorize how they'd fit into the game. After 20 weeks and match ups, we'll have one big podcast to discuss all of the winners and our hopes and dreams for a sequel. This week, Graydon and Emmett go over each of the first 4 matchups of the Showdown and give some constellation prices to the losers. Curious as to who the first winners are? Well, check below for a list, with each of their articles and polls linked below! Match 1: Juan from Guacamelee beat Dart from Legend of Dragoon Match 2: Aya Brea from Parasite Eve lost to Gabe Logan from Syphon Filter Match 3: Chie from Persona 4 washed Claptrap from Borderlands Match 4: Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn vs. Big Boss from the Metal Gear Solid series

Hello! It's time for another Bits & Pieces podcast. This time we have episode number 15 for your listening pleasure. In this episode, George shares his reforged love of the Brothers in Arms franchise. After that, we Gav tries his darndest to tell us about Slap City, but we go down a rabbit hole of PlayStation All-Stars and other old PlayStation games. George shares a board game that we picked up at the UK Games Expo called Roll Quest. Thanks again to the guys over at Hercules Game Studios for giving us their demo copy. George still has the Miniature Heroes chocolate box you gave him the game in displayed proudly on his shelf. To cap off this episode Nevi teases everybody's brain with a Nier: Automata quiz that slowly descends into madness. Enjoy!
Welcome to another episode of Throwdown Your Questions! On this show, we answer all of your Video Game related questions. Here are all of the questions we answer this week: - What can you tell us about Sony's Q3 financial report? - Why does Sony have such a conservative outlook for PS4 sales? - What will be the lifetime sales of PS4, Xbox One, and Switch? - Will people buy more Switch consoles if it is jailbroken? - Can you make a great single player game without a story? - Why are Microsoft employees advertising PlayStation games? - Is backwards compatibility really important to younger gamers? - What are your favorite in-game games? - Did the success of PUBG lead to Sea of Thieves being on Game Pass? - Would Titanfall 2 have sold better if it wasn't called "Titanfall 2"? - What fighting game style should a new PlayStation All-Stars adopt? - What theme is better: Wii Shop Music, 3DS Eshop music, or Wii U Eshop music? - Will we get another Marvel vs Capcom? Smash Bros Cast Episode 6 What the pros want from Smash for the Switch From NintendoLife article Knockback seems to be a hot topic Thinkamana moderator for the Smashboards forum had this to say, “The oversight is that rage should never have applied to base knockback, as that messes up the consistency of low-% combos; this means that with some characters, the person losing might have fewer viable options,” Dabuz, a long time top ten Smash 4 player had this to say, “It's a great mechanic because it prevents fishing for KOs at specific damage percentages, but it scales largely with the base knockback of a move (that means the amount of knockback a move delivers at zero percent, basically.) This makes multi-hitting moves such as Zero-Suit Samus’ 'up-B' attack extremely powerful because high base knockback ensures one hit leads into all of its 'hits', which causes the opponent to pop out and die at very low percentages, largely due to rage.” Thinkaman’s solution is, “Applying rage to only knockback growth (like all other damage/knockback modifiers in the game) is the number one thing that I'd like to see fixed in Smash for Switch,” Larry Lurranother top player would like to see the return of DACUS. A technique where you cancel your dash attack and do a sliding up smash. Fine tuning stick controls and upping the speed of rolling onto the stage were mentioned also. Nario, another professional Smash 4 player had this to say about the stages and stage hazards.“I hope we can further develop on that with something like a 'turn off hazards' option for most stages, similar to what PlayStation All-Stars had,” also this, “Sometimes in competitive play, to have the most fair result, we need to play on extremely conservative stages, (but) that can get stale quickly. This would liven up the stage list by a lot.” Dabuzwould like to see the training mode fleshed more.“There's a lot of stuff missing from the current training mode (frame by frame speed, recording inputs, testing rage, etc.) so I would love to see a more fleshed out training mode. Right now, there's a lot of things that cannot be tested out there.” Multiplayer wasn’t the only area that Nario would like to see more of story mode like brawl had “I'd love to see a kind of story mode or adventure mode, similar to Brawl's Subspace Emissary,”and “I love seeing characters in a crossover series interact with one another, like Meta Knight, Marth and Ike.” Who do the pros want to see in Smash on Swtich? Zero: I really want Cloud to stay for the next Smash title. I also want Sora to join the roster and for Snake to return. That's my wishlist. Other characters that made the list were Bayonetta Crash Bandicoot Waluigi Ice Climbers Isaac from Goldensun Banjo-Kazooie Tavis Touchdown Characters suggestions from the Discord Poudigne- Rex and Pyra/Mythra Ryno- Dixie and Funky Kong NintenDavid64- Cappy for Mario. Sylux, Trace,or someone else from Metroid. Another FZero character. And Rex of course. Nightcrawlr724- Not that I “want” to see it but I think they will have a ARMS character on the roster. Maybe the 4 champions from BOTW Ganthet-san- Cloud and the same Fire Emblem Characters would be cool. DarkPanda45- Banjo and Kazooie Ctsmitson-Rex/pyra for sure. If they wanted to add more xenoblade representation maybe have Reyn from the first game and Zeke from the second. Other than xenoblade characters I would really like a monster hunter character, despite MH World not being on the switch. AllexandertheG-Id like to see game n watch back, all rabbid characters from kingdom battle, rex would be cool too Mels-I'll throw in a vote for Travis touchdown to make my man Suda happy Character Spotlight: Mario Mario’s versatile with ranged and up close attacks He can be played as an offensive or defensive character Utilize fireballs to move on opponents that are shielding and go for a grab Mario’s down throw followed by Up Tilt is an excellent combo for players that are at low percent as lon
Originally Broadcast 2012/06/15: Last week we lamented the lack of NX showing at E3 this year. But now we take a look back to four years ago when the Wii U was first shown at E3, and we just felt... "meh" about it. Is Nintendo doing everyone a favor by holding back this time? Also like four yeears ago, we're expecting announcements from both Sony and Microsoft. Did Nintendo try to steal the show, only to stumble? Is the Wii U just an expansion for the Wii, with only enough extra horsepower to run the GamePad screen? Did Sony and Microsoft play it too close to the vest, or can we expect something greater from them in 2013? Sean and Vinnk talk about the ups and downs (sometimes it feels like mostly downs) of E3, Vinnk's game of the show Project P-100, and all of the reasons we tell ourselves that E3 wasn't that great, even thought we just really wanted to be there in person. Here is what got discussed this week.· 00:16:04 – MMA – The fallout of UFC 151 continues to be a major piece of news as the fallout continues. Also discussed were the 151 match ups that have found homes in other UFC cards.· 00:27:00 – Wrestling – RAW & Impact were front and center this week. If you read this weeks Buried column then you know how lackluster Raw was. Impact on the other had quite a few high points. Also discussed was Chyna's adult films and CM Punk's upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray release· 00:51:24 – Video Games – We got a decent amount of news including the addition of Evil Cole McGrath to Playstation All-Stars as well as the upcoming special editions of Black Ops II.· 01:00:36 – Movies/ TV - Robocop's reboot gets a casting change which was unexpected. And we’re back! Scheduling problems and technical difficulties can’t keep your favorite nerd trio from removing their pants and talking about some awesome video games. We kick it off as always with what we’ve been playing, including PlayStation All-Stars, Little Big Planet Karting, Dyad, and Robot Rob’s hatred of Batman: Arkham City. Julian confesses his new nerd addiction: table top games! The topic this episode is everything trophy and achievement. Gamers have been addicted to these little pieces of digital flair for years now, and Patrick wants to know how we feel about them as a group. Rob spends the episode in complete denial of his achievement lust, while Julian and Patrick completely admit to their addictions. We talk about our first achievements, the ones we tried the hardest for, and the ones that seemed particularly lame. We also talk about Rob’s atavistic fear of Disney’s Cars before closing things out with some shameless self-promotion. Join our Facebook fanpage and let us know what you want to see in upcoming episodes. We’ll be back next week with a free-form bonus episode, and after that we hope to have a very special guest for you all. This week the guys talk Google cars, Ouya gaming platform, Sleeping Dogs, and Playstation All Stars first impressions. The guys also talk WB's choice for JLA director and an interview Alex Gizis from Connectify.
It's been a while! In episode 35 we celebrate our Australian listeners and dedicate this episode to them. Sure, we talk about some Aussie wine, but we also talk about Assassin's Creed 3, Comic Con, Okami HD, Quantum Conundrum, and PlayStation All-Stars. Also, we have wonderful prizes to give out this episode.
We're sort of all here this time as we try our best to fit a podcast between our not-so-cooperative schedules. We discuss the PAX Prime schedule and where we'll be talking/presenting and just some of the panels we want to check out. Jon hasn't played anything and Nathan continues to try out many PC ports of older games; including GTA San Andreas and Far Cry 2. Sean talks about his time with Syndicate, Microsoft Flight and finishing Pokemon Conquest. A bunch of news happened! More characters for PlayStation All-Stars have been revealed, a release date for L4D's Cold Water DLC, info on Dawnguard coming to other consoles and LittleBigPlanet Karting. We also discuss Star Wars the Old Republic going almost entirely free to play and the new PlayStation Collections brand.
Topics discussed include MMOs going free to play, Playstation All-Stars character leak, video game crossovers and much more! Also included is a review of Rainbow Moon (PS3) and LBP Karting Beta (PS3)!
Phwoah! Sid's back from EVO 2012 with a PlayStation All-Stars update from SuperBot's Omar Kendall and a meaty discussion with MK grandpappy Ed Boon on his upcoming project, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Plus the new PSN release for 07/17 (Dyad!) and MOAR.
This week Tim has a crack at hosting while he is joined by Susie and Matt for some discussions about Black Ops 2, God of War multiplayer, PlayStation All-Stars, The Unfinished Swan, Kickstarter and much more. The Unfinished Swan video – http://giantsparrow.com/games/swan/
Genügend Spiele-Themen also.
