Building Relationships: Providing headshots creates opportunities for meaningful interactions and potential collaborations. Showcasing Your Expertise: Offering professional headshots demonstrates your company's willingness to help and showcases your skills. Amplifying Brand Awareness: The free headshots become walking advertisements when attendees share them on social media, increasing brand visibility. Establishing Long-Term Connections: Gathering contact information from interested individuals allows for follow-ups and nurturing long-term connections. The episode also provides additional tips, such as having a professional setup, promoting the giveaway in advance, customizing headshots with the company's logo, and offering extra perks to participants. By offering an experience and a high-quality end product, businesses can set themselves apart from the competition and leave a lasting impression on attendees. Last week we talked about the power of headshots. This week we build on that and answer my most common question. What should I wear for a professional headshot? This is coming up next on shutter speed. I'm Peter Szpakowski, and welcome to the 'Shutter Speed' Where a powerful first impression can change your life. I have been a branding specialist for over 15 years. For those 15 years, I have been a professional photographer and videographer. I travel around the country taking professional headshots, professional event photography, and professional video of individuals and businesses that promote business and careers. This podcast focuses on a business owner, entrepreneur, or even someone looking to enhance their career, life, and place in this world through branding. For most of us today, the first impression people have of you is through an image or video. Making a great first impression can change your life and business. This podcast is tailor-made for you. In each episode, we'll uncover the strategies and techniques behind building a solid, influential brand that resonates with your target audience. Branding is more than just a logo or a tagline. It's the essence of your business or personal brand, the emotional connection you create with your customers or employers. That is why I rebranded this headshot. Before we continue, I have some announcements. Now is the time to start planning the fall conventions, conferences, and tradeshows. Have you ever thought about offering a headshot booth at your event? I travel to these conventions offering headshot booths where I take headshots of potential customers, clients, or team members. They instantly get an image delivered to their phone. While I capture headshots, I also capture critical contact information creating a CRM of potential clients for you. I want this podcast to be helpful for anybody that wants to know more about branding. I specialize in visual branding and copy. I will cover these topics here, but most will be around using imagery and videography. Future topics I have scheduled are what you should wear for a headshot session and how I can use branding to advance my career. How can I use branding to advance my acting career real estate career? Any other topic you can think of I would be happy to discuss and answer on here. Just head over to 2mmheadshots.com/podcast So for today's topic. Up until 2015, I was mainly a portrait and physique photographer. I was one of those photographers at bodybuilding and fitness shows, taking pictures for magazines like Flex, Muscle and Fitness, and muscular development. But around 2015, I wanted to branch out to something more. I love to help people. I love lifting people and helping them be the best they can be. Ever since I was a teenager, I wanted to be the next Tony Robbins. It was only natural for me to be drawn to professional headshots. So many headshots were so bad. They are still wrong. Want proof? I just got to LinkedIn and looked up CEO headshots. Most of them are terrible. They are old school. The person looks uncomfortable. They look like people I absolutely would never want to do business with. So I knew I could do better. I researched what I could do, and I found great mentors. Mentors that are the best in the industry. So today, we dive deeper into the potential of professional headshots, which has been my primary focus for almost ten years. In this digital age, where connections are made with just a click, it's more important than ever to understand the significance of your online presence. Your headshot is often the first glimpse people get of you, whether it's on your LinkedIn profile, your website, or even in your email signature. That split second can make all the difference between grabbing someone's attention or being passed over. Think about it. When scrolling through a page full of profiles or searching for potential collaborators, what catches your eye? It's those beautiful headshots that make you pause that make you want to learn more about the person behind the photo. For women, it could be a well-lit photo where you have a warm, welcoming glow, or for men, that may have slight shadows to make an image more mysterious.

Capture One or Lightroom? What do you use? That is a question like asking somebody if they are a Canon, Sony, or Nikon shooter. People have strong feelings for why they use a certain application as much as the type of camera gear they use. I am somebody that up until recently, used both. I used both for over 5 years because I love both but recently ditched one and jumped 100% into the other. Workstreams are important. Maybe I can help. https://www.2mmacademy.com/007
