    Ivy Insights

The Do Big Things podcast is an incredible show that goes beyond just running. Hosted by Adam, the podcast features interviews with a diverse range of guests who share their stories of doing big things in various fields. Adam's talent as a host shines through as he asks thought-provoking questions, guides the conversation smoothly, and never interrupts his guests. His energy is simultaneously chill and enthusiastic, creating a comfortable and engaging atmosphere. One standout aspect of this podcast is Adam's commitment to mental health awareness month, where he brings attention to an important cause. Overall, I am extremely happy to have found this podcast.

The best aspects of The Do Big Things podcast are numerous. Firstly, the range of guests interviewed is exceptional. From ultra runners to climbers to adventurers, each guest brings something unique and inspiring to the table. The conversations are always interesting and keep listeners eagerly looking forward to the next episode. The topics covered in this podcast cater to those who love running in the mountains or anyone seeking mental distraction, stimulation, and inspiration during their day-to-day life. Adam's approach is conversational, candid, and real, making for an enjoyable listening experience. His dedication to highlighting lesser-known human feats that deserve recognition adds depth and substance to the show.

As for any potential drawbacks of The Do Big Things podcast, it could be argued that the focus on less mainstream human feats may limit its appeal to a broader audience. While those interested in ultra-running or mountain adventures will find great value in this podcast, others may feel less drawn to it due to its specificity. Additionally, some listeners might prefer more structured interviews with a clearer plan or outline instead of conversational flow.

In conclusion, The Do Big Things podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking inspiration and motivation from individuals who excel in their respective fields. Adam's skillful hosting creates an engaging atmosphere where guests can share their stories authentically. With its diverse range of guests, interesting topics, and real conversations, this podcast stands out as a top choice in its genre. Whether you are a trail runner, hiker, or simply a human being looking for some uplifting content, I highly recommend giving The Do Big Things podcast a listen. You won't be disappointed!

My guest this week, William “Boxcar” Curry takes one step at a time towards progress and recovery. After a hard life of following around the Grateful Dead and hopping trains all over the country, Boxcar eventually gave up the hard drinking and hard drugs for simply putting one foot in front of the other. He discovered walking which led to hiking which led to long distance thru-hikes. He's hiked some of the biggest trails in the US and now he's even dipping his toes into the ultramarathon world. He is the founder of Trails of Recovery where he helps others get and stay sober through the power of movement. The power of one step at a time. I apologize for the sound quality of this episode, we did the best we could with this one. I hope to have Ol Boxcar back on the show at some point to make up for it. Eventually that led to some FKT's and now she's transitioning into ultramarathons. With a big win at Blood Rock 100 this year, second to the man himself, Jeff Browning, she has officially put her stamp on the world of trail running.
