In this episode Brittany has a conversation with Danielle about leadership development. Danielle sheds light on the myths regarding leadership development. Danielle's experience in working in high pace spaces gives her an edge on understanding what us high achievers experience in our daily lives. Danielle discusses her experience with crippling anxiety and how she begin to manage it. Who is DanielleI am a Mainer born and raised right in the Bangor Region. My family currently resides in Orrington where my husband grew up. Raising our two teenagers and a 4-year-old toddler keeps us on our toes. I have worked in leadership for twenty-four years in the very high stress, fast paced financial and healthcare industries. I have spent more than fifteen years in training and developing exceptional leaders. Teaching the skills, we often talk about including professional coaching, conflict resolution, meeting management, teamwork etc. I also coach and train on things we don't talk about as much, such as how to lead in times of chaos, crisis and change, how to increase emotional intelligence, how to demonstrate empathy and more. The one thing that surprised most people is that I have suffered from anxiety since I was in high school, sometimes crippling. This is something that has not held me back from reaching my goals, and in fact has driven me even more to find ways to NOT let it define who I am. Just recently have I started sharing this part of my story, and I hope it helps others who have this as a barrier. I earned a degree in Psychology and believe in being a lifelong learner continuing my professional development with many leadership courses as well as obtaining my meditation teaching certificate and breathwork facilitation certificate because self-care and mindfulness is so important to our success and achievements as leaders. In March of 2021, (yes in the middle of a pandemic) I decided to leave the corporate world and focus on my business that I have been growing over the last four years. Today I work with organization to help support their leaders and I work with busy professionals to find balance in all areas of life while reaching their goals and avoiding burnout. www.lifesavher.net Instagram: @brittanyajohnsonlmhcFacebook: @brittanyajohnson
