From last Sunday's Circle. * * * Welcome this is Mother Sha-Riah. Every week now we are having on-line Medicine Circle and we choose a different theme or concept or energy, perhaps is the better word to journey on in an effort to create an energy force, if you like, of a positive energy force or a supportive energy force that can be sent out into the communities whether that's the immediate community or the broader national community or global community for support, nurturing, nourishing, for comfort and for strength. Because we have a strong understanding that this time is a really valuable time, it's an opportunity for a lot of energies to be worked out. A lot of things to be thought about that haven’t had the time to be thought about before and in that you often need support and help, but then afterwards when people are not locked in their homes, not isolated they will have to go back out into the world and that world will be different, not just in its look, you know the natural world is reclaiming and rejoicing in its reclamation and you will find that, but also in the way that you think perhaps, and the way others think and behave around you and their expectations and their desires and so on. And this is something to be expected because in many respects, even though the social media has been bombarding everybody with different thoughts and ways of being and ways of coping and so on, there has been a lot of time for people to just become themselves and to come to an understanding of themselves without the societal influence, without the familiar influence, without the community influence. For some people, you will be going out into the world, almost as if you have thought for yourself for the very first time. And this will be an interesting experience. So, what we are doing in the circle is to create energies that support people, individuals or groups, to live now in this world, but then to go out into the world as a somewhat ‘new experience.’ So, we choose a different word or concept each week. This week we chose the word or concept of HEART. For a lot of people, the word heart is about Love, Passion, Empathy, Sympathy and as a human group, we have really embued that physical heart that resides embedded within and viewed it with this almost otherworldly nature that it actually guides our love, it breaks when we are distressed or when we are let down in love, so we have really looked at the heart as something, that not only keeps us going physically as it pumps the blood around us, but we have made it a metaphysical aspect as well that love makes the world go round. There is heart in everyone and if you look at many of the caring institutions around the world they have a heart as their symbol because there you will find heart and that idea of heart really makes people feel more comfortable, it makes them feel more confident in the world and it that institution and the people that are in the institution. We also discussed the understanding or the conceptual understanding of the magnetics of the body and how that is being related to the heart in metaphysical and scientific terms. Part of this is possible because it pumps the blood and as we know the blood has iron in it so it is like an armour if you like, an-iron armour within us. That magnetic force that we experience around us that’s emanating from us and when we meet people that we are not comfortable with and we feel repelling of that, which is interesting in itself because if two magnets repel it is because they are alike! so that is something to think about which as a separate agenda, but there is also that if you, if someone comes close to you that you know well, that you love the magnetic fields expand to encompass each other. This often happens, its most easy to see with children because they are so open, and when a child runs towards you,
Welcome, this is Mother Sha-Riah As some of you know we are having our Circle almost weekly now as we are so distant from each other. It is an opportunity for people to come together to create an energy of community and an energy of connecting, so we are doing it more regularly on-line. Each time that we do have our circle we are trying to create energies that are way buoying, like a buoyancy for the community that you are in or the person is in or those communities as we have discussed before, they could be in the family group, the neighbourhood, the city, the country, the global community, whatever you feel your community is at that moment and how much you can contribute to that community. So, we are doing a sort of a group intention and in many respects, it is a word that we choose and we expound on that word so we have had thoughtfulness, we had calm and this week we did resilience. One of the key aspects of the human nature and of the human group is their ability to be resilient, to bounce back, to come back, to come up with a new idea, to keep going, to keep trying, to keep striving, to keep thriving. It is one of the greater aspects of the human group, of course, that can often lead to some detrimental activity so that they can be resilient, but what we wanted to focus on in this last journey group was really to focus on that aspect of resilience where people get up and they keep going. But also, there was the creating of that support energy of resilience and that people felt that they know they have that support to get up because it is hard to keep doing it yourself if you feel you have no support, it is hard to do that. So, the circle this last weekend was about creating that resilience support for people that they had that energy that was giving them the impudence and motivation and the nourishment to be resilient and to create that for a wide group. It wasn't even just for humans it was for the energies to be resilient. The energies of it could be the economy, it could be education, it could be health care, all of these things that the human group contributes to or a part of, those things as well. So, it is very interesting the outcome of the journey because there was, of course, you know everybody had their own experience and their own imagery and so on but the thing that came out most strongly was this concept, if you like of the Elder. And it's interesting that we were doing resilience and then the concept that really was strong, a theme if you like, was this idea or concept of the Elder. Because if you think of resilience, resilience is about holding the space, it’s about creating that energy of support for people to keep going. When you think of an Elder, an Elder you have this idea perhaps of experience, of wisdom, of that experience being translated into wisdom, that is not always the case, but that's an idea behind the Elder, but also the Elder often are people in our community who are not as physically active, or they have more time and energy in a way to just be in the environment, watching, holding the space, helping, advising, nourishing and nurturing and this is something that when we talk about resilience and that support energy of resilience energy, this is what we are talking about. So, it was interesting that the Elder energy was very strong. And what this showed the whole group was that everybody in the group didn't matter about their age, had some aspect of themselves which was this Elder energy. Whether they were a parent in a home where they felt that they needed to create an environment where everybody could be in the home and be supported in the home, whether it was the person in the workplace where they actually do find themselves as the oldest person now in the workplace and how they can lead by their calmness and by their maturit...

Transcription (audio at bottom) This is a long talk about self care in the time of COVID-19 isolation and how to make the most of it, learning more about yourself, your gifts and gifts in nature and those people around you. Mind -physical - emotional - spiritual - "the stack" if you like... one thing gets out all things go out and tips on where to start in keeping the balance. The three N's: kNowing Nurture Nourish Making the most in this time of isolation, don't be a victim, go explore yourself and what you want past this period Corona Lockdown - kNowing, Nurture and Nourish Welcome, we are the Ancestral Medicine Women and in this time of great uncertainty and for some people anxiety and loneliness, isolation but also great change and development and a lot of movement, there is a need for ways of living or ways of supporting yourself and others around you, so that when throughout this time, but also when we come out the other side in whatever guise we come out in, that we are able to continue, we are able to maintain ourselves, we are able to go forth and we are able to and we are strong of mind, body, emotion and spirit to do all of that, we need to be working now and for this period of time on those things. So, for us we have a very strong understanding of the human being, as a being and that being has four parts, if you like: the physical the emotional the mental and Spirit, soul, energetic, whatever that word for you is the most appropriate. And those four things, if they are not in alignment, then this is when dis-ease occurs, or dis-stress occurs, or stress. This is when things get out of kilter, they get out of control. They get out of your grasp. You can easily see that when you see a young child who is in the supermarket and they are crying and screaming and the parent says: 'Oh, they are tired or this and that', but what has happened with that child is that they are very sensitive, young children are more sensitive to their environment and the changes to their environment than we give them credit for because they have not hardened their shell up, if you like. Now, if you can imagine if those four things are aligned on top of each other(the physical, the emotional, the mental and Spirit, soul, energetic) the smallest shift for them can push one or other or all of them out of kilter and for some children that is very difficult for them to cope with and so they behave in this way. So, you can imagine yourself just in general life, but especially now that you are exactly the same. You are those four bodies of the being and they are in a relatively straight line and they are constantly recalibrating and vibrating, but they are in constant movement, but they have this general structure to them where they are working with each other to make sure that the whole being is in good running order and is at its optimum to support the being that it is, that it is there. In this environment it is going to be very important and you will start to see that small things, or different things perhaps will be the things that will push you out of kilter, move those things slightly and so that you are unable to cope in certain situations where before you could cope in these situations and then there would be other situations in where you couldn't cope in and now you can cope in. So you see that the body is really, is this delicate arrangement of these four bodies in the being that are constantly moving, constantly supporting each other and needing support from the other for that for you, as the human being to be able to move through life in general, but through “now.” What we offer perhaps in this regard is a sort of aid system - not first aid because this can be used in a first aid sense where like the first response,
This is a transcript. How to respond to the different energy peaks in the COVID-19 Corona Virus pandemic. The main points of this talk are: What do you want from this opportunity? What energies really need your focus Main peaks that you'll navigate Fantasy check - what really needs to be avoided Digging deep to honour and access the energetic force that created humans and the strong intelligence that guides the group What to do in your community with different peaks and their needs What you can do with your own ability, gifts and leadership capabilities Resilience Learning to adapt, using your creativity Being kind and helpful to your community Being the best human you can be, and forgive yourself and keep moving when you falter Welcome to everybody. We are the Ancestral Medicine Women and as you are all aware, all around the world there is a human crisis in-play and there has been a lot of speculation about why, how, who, there's been a lot of activity to try and curb the flow of the health crisis and there's been a lot of input. This is creating a lot of fear, a lot of anger, a lot of panic. It's also creating in some people a different response, one of kindness, one of service, one of positive activity and when you look at everything that is happening you can see that this is a very tight micro-picture, if you like, of the human condition. “This is the way humans are.” When we see it in our everyday life, it is sort of flattened out, subdued, so there are peaks where terrible things happen and people respond and then it goes back down into a trough and people behave in particular ways in those peaks and troughs. But right now, we have a prolonged peak, if you like, and this prolonged peak has been going now for, in some places for a few months, and for the rest of the world it is going to be going on for several more months. So, you have a few things that we can think about in this regard. One is the actual human condition. How are people going to and when we talk about human condition, we do not mean necessarily physical health, what we mean is the condition of humans how they behave, what they do, how they think, this type of, how they feel, all of this type of thing. Their reactions to all of that and the ebbs and flows that that comes in. We could look at pop culture, this is a very good example of the human condition, the trends that occur and then they fall and then a new one comes and the human condition follows that in different ways and different guises. At the moment (amidst the Corona pandemic) we have a really clear picture of the human condition, the very best and the very worst. And this is stark because there isn’t in this particular situation, there isn't actually much of a middle ground. You are either behaving and experiencing and dealing with this situation in a good way, or the best way, or well, or you are dealing in it with a very difficult way, and a panic way and an anger way. So what we, in this regard, what we would say to people is that it's not helpful perhaps, is what we can say, it's not helpful to look at this situation as a blip in time, because when you look at it as a blip in time, or a moment in time, then you are looking at it in a very crisis mode. You are looking at it as an acute situation. For humans to come through this situation, this particular crisis which is going to take, the health crisis is going to be several more months and then you have the fallout from that which could take years. So, this situation right now is not just a crisis moment in time, this is going to go on for some time. So that means we have to start working now, the people that can work now. We have to start working now to flatten out that curve. Some are talking a lot about the flattening out the curve of the infections of this disease, or this illness,
(transcription) When we say this welcome, it is from The Ancestral Medicine Women and many blessings to you. There are two things for us that are really important for the healing journey. One of them is the Processing and the Processing Time and the Space, which we have discussed previously. The other thing is the Crisis. What we have found through many experiences of our own lives, as well as others, that when we are going through a healing movement, and that could be anything from: wanting to get rid of a part of their life or wanting to change a part of their life that seems to come from Ancestral Energy and they want to have their own energy. It could be that they are wanting to make a movement, they're getting blocks in their lives, they're wanting to develop themselves in lots of different ways, so they are at Point A and they want to get to Point B. What we find with people is that once you start the healing process, there are tests. And there are tests that once you have had a healing experience... "Oh, this is great, I feel good, it is finished, it is gone!" ... and then a couple of weeks later, or a couple of months or even years the same thing occurs again. And you say "I can't believe I have just gone through this process and here I am again - exactly the same situation". This is what we call 'the tests'. The tests are testing your resolve, testing your intention, they are testing whether you are still wanting to be in that habit, whether you are really ready to move, and then what happens in those tests are experienced in the body, and when we talk about 'the body' we mean the WHOLE BEING - physical, emotional, mental and spirit. The BEING itself is saying to you: "We have always done this, this is how we live, and now you are wanting us to move to this other place. It is very different to the way we have been living. Are you sure?" So, these tests happen all the time and they can be small tests, large tests. What we find though these tests can occur regularly, separated or what have you and then very often there will be a moment in time and it could come out of no where and it could be a long, long way from where you began, even from the time you began this journey - a long way down the track. You feel you're totally through it and you have been healed and so on and then comes what we call 'The Crisis'. The crisis is generally, but not always, a physical thing, because the physical body is what we call the 'last bastion.' When people have some sort of illness like cancer or any kind of illness, they do not know it until the physical body gives them that warning. The mental and emotional and spirit body may have known it for a long time, but it's not until the physical body gives you that information, that you really know it. And likewise, when you are moving through into a new phase of your existence, it is very often the physical body that will break down, that will resist. So, the very last thing that we experience that once the spirit is really ready to move the physical body, at the very last will hold on and say: "ARE YOU SURE?" In that moment is 'The Crisis' and you might find that you have a terrible migraine, you might have influenza or have some really strong and sometimes devastating physical experience. Now we are really focusing on the physical because as we said - it's the LAST BASTION. Your body is the fortress and it's the bridging of that and that's the last thing that will go (breaking itself down) and it is generally a physical experience that you have and it will be really intense. It might last for a couple of years; it might last for a few days. The interesting thing is that in-that-moment you are in such a crisis that you cannot think beyond that moment and that's when you need help and support. That's when you need to find your spiritual guides whe...
Photo by Corey Leopold [CC BY 2.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)] ------------------------------------------------- “But I am just one person, what can I do?” Welcome. This is Mother Sha-Riah. We often hear and people often say to us: “But I am just one person, what can I do? I see all of these things in the environment, I see these things in humanity, I see these things in my community, I am angry about them, I want change to occur and so on and so on, but I am just one person, what can I do?” And our response to that has become: “If not you, then who?” “If not you, then who?” “Who is going to do it?” If you are the one that is seeing these things and they are angering you and they are sort of propelling you to action, then we suggest that you are the one, you are the who. Now the thing is though on that, does that mean then that you have to create a world-movement? Does that mean that you have to get a lot of supporters behind you and make things happen in the wider community? No, it doesn’t. It can mean that if that’s the kind of work that you want to do or the kind of action that you want to take. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to do that though. One person can make an enormous difference. Just by doing what they can do. So, let’s look at the environment and look at the plastic bags or disposable foods, the disposable everything. Everything is disposable, if you buy a fridge and within three years it is broken, do you get it fixed? No, you throw it away to buy a new one because that’s how they’re made. In fact sometimes is cheaper to buy a new something because the parts are more expensive. So you buy the new thing and the way that manufacturing and businesses have set themselves up is in exactly that way. To keep people coming back we have a small life expectancy on the product and then when it’s done they have to buy a new one. That’s the business model for many, many businesses around the world. So as an individual you make the decision that you are not going to participate in that kind of business, in that kind of lifestyle. You are not going to constantly be replacing, you are not going to buy disposable things, you are not going to buy things that won’t last, you are going to make things that last. You are going to recycle things that last. You are not going to be polluting the world with masses of rubbish whether that’s from paper, plastic, food stuffs and so on and so on. You’re going to actually not buy the ready-made-food, you are not going to buy food even from the supermarket like tomatoes and zucchini that are packaged already for you to take. No, you are going to go to the local market. You are going to buy from your neighbours who might have chickens and so on and you are going to take your plastic container, or your basket and you are going to get those things and bring them home. Well, you might say “Well, that’s not very much!” That’s an enormous thing, because what happening is, you, are deciding to live a particular kind of life with the social conscience of your environment. Not just the social conscience of your environment but the social conscience of humanity and making sure that not only is there a place for humanity to live in the future, but that humanity itself is taking charge, taking responsibility and being accountable. If you start to do these things you’ll find that people around you will be a little bit more careful when they’re with you. Now they might just go and do whatever they do normally when they’re not with you, but the point is, that when they’re with you, they will attempt to be more careful. Now if that translates into a rippling effect around into your community, whether that is your family, your descendants, whether that is neighbours, work colleagues, it doesn’t make any difference, you are making a stand,

Transcript of recording: 1st January 2018, on a super moon with morning birdsong. Welcome all of you to this very new year, 2018. We are the Ancestral Medicine Women, and we welcome you not only to the year, but to our talk right now. Thank you for those that have tuned in to listen. We are so appreciative, and we hope that you gain something, or that you hear something that's relevant to you, that you can take through the year, or start your year off, to take you in to be a productive, fulfilling year for yourselves, your family, and those around you. Our message for this year may seem simple. It may seem perhaps insignificant, but we hope that you listen to the answer that you see what we really mean when we say what our message is for this year. Our message for this year, for year 2018, is learn to adapt. Some of you will say, "Well, that's a human trait. That's a survival trait. We all adapt." Some people say that a sign of intelligence is to be able to adapt. Other people say that adapting is difficult, that unlike change, they know that it needs to be done, they do it, but it's a difficult journey. The reason we are saying that these learn to adapt as your mission, if you like, for this year, is that there is change coming. Change always occurs. It's a constant. It's a constant state. Change is a constant state for the human, for the planet, for the cosmos, but for humans, there is big changes on their way. These changes you can already see. Actually, in the way that people are thinking, in the way that they are electing particular people into government. Some countries are actually reverting. They are going back to a more totalitarian state. They're going back to old ways, to more repressions, and other places, other countries, nations, are looking forward, and they are putting people in who seem to have a broader view, who want to go to bigger places, if you like. You can see that there is change occurring, and then there is resistance to change, so in between that, there has to be adaptation, learning to adapt, being able to adapt, because when people revert, they are really at a stage where the change is imminent, and the choice is being made. Some people, let's look at the individuals, revert to an older way, to a stronger way, a way that's not satisfying to them, a way that's not productive for them, but they revert to that before the big change, because the body, if you like, is holding on tightly to what it knows. Everything else is wanting to move, but the body is holding on tight, and there is this very strong reversion to this way of life, and a known way of life, but that's the point, right? That's that precipice point. Most people realize after a while of that that they can't stay there, and they just make the jump. Some people realize that they can't make the jump, and then they stay there. The change doesn't really occur. So if you look at these countries, what they're doing, they're actually reverting back to a time where it was very strong, not fulfilling, difficult, and so on. But that's their point, that is their tipping point in fact, that they are on the precipice. The countries that are in this state are big. They're big countries. They command a lot of the wealth. They control a lot of the wealth of the whole world. They are in this state of holding tight, holding tight, but there is a lot of movement underneath saying, "No, we're going forward. No, we're going this. No, we are changing." They are really on the precipice. If those countries actually jump, if you like, or fall off the precipice, change is going to be swift. It is going to be dramatic. It is going to be devastating for some. We are just talking at this stage of this very physical experience that humans have of governments, nations, community, and so on, but the change that we are also talking about is the change within humans. Almost at a DNA level, a change which is in process now.

Audio of lecture participants is poor, but informative if you're digging for truth. * Why are past or future events informing your thoughts right now? * When you are off with the fairies, is this being present or is it being separate from the present? * Is the past, future and now a complete package? * Is solely 'living in the now' with disregards for the past and future healthy for you? Separating yourself from past events maybe detrimental. Working now for the future can be detrimental. --------------------------------------------- Part One (0.00 - 15 mins approx.) Living in the Now with Mother Sha-Riah - Part One We are amazed that there is this emphasis on this idea of living in the now. Living right now, not looking at the past, and not looking on the future, not worrying about the past, or worrying about the future, and not to regret the past, or plan for the future, and all of this kind of thing. Just to forget that, and just live in the now. This we find very confusing because from the perspective that we are, you are living in the now. There is no trying to live in the now, you are in the now, you are living in the now. Right now I am speaking to you, but already what I have said is in the past, but we are in the now. This is something that we are amazed at. People spend so much of their time, anguish and energy trying to change the way they live, and their belief system, because they want to live in the now, without actually realising that they are living in the now. They are already here. They try to not look back and have regrets, and not to live in the past, or they try not to look forward and wish, or plan, for a different life, and so on. People are led to believe that by doing that you're wasting your energy, you are spreading yourself thin, and you can't focus on what is happening right now, living in the now. We find this very confusing because you are living in the now, and all of these thoughts and ideas that you are having of the past and the future, you are having them in the now. So, we question this emphasis of living in the now, as if it is something that you are actually not already doing. As if it is something that is so separate from the world you are currently inhabiting, this living in the now, that you must actually strive to do it. And, by striving to do it, it is like you are living in the future, striving for that, instead of just acknowledging that that is what you are actually doing, living in the now. Already you are here. Every breath that you take, you are doing it right now, not in the past and not in the future. However, it is simultaneously the past and the future when it is the present. So when people are saying focus on the present, live in the now, at the same time the past and the future are happening. So all of these things, the past, the present, and future are all happening together, but if you're just focusing on the present, saying this is where I want to be now, I can forget everything else, I will just look at where I am now, then you are not actually living a whole life. You are separating yourself from all these things that are going on in the background. The past, the present, and the future are all happening at the same time. You think that by living in the present, and not worrying about the past and future, that you will be happy. You think that by living in the now, nothing that has happened in the past will bother you, or you will try to suppress anything that does, and by not thinking about the future your attention will not be taken away from what is happening right now. This is why we are confused, and maybe you are confused as well, because that's what you're doing anyway, you're already in the now; already living in the present. So, we ask you,

This short series of talks (The Crone Zone) has been channeled to encourage people in their mature years to take their role as a crone in the community. Talk No.1 overview: Crone has a bad connotation/stigma A definition for Crone as a concept and a time of life Realisation period Transition period Women have menopause as a signal of change, but what is the signal for men? A time of leadership and mentoring Unified leadership - concepts of matriarch and patriarch are things that have divided us in the past, and these are now not so strong, so both sides are now more compatible and can lead and mentor with a unified front to their community. Crone Zone Talk 1. (Transcript) So, welcome to everybody. It's such a lovely thing that you could all come and such a great group. ... In that regard, we are a lot different to a lot of channels because for many channels, and for us of course, it's a very serious business bringing these messages from the 'other side' from 'the beyond' from 'the cosmos' 'the universe' whatever, but we like to have, for us, the thrill for us is not necessarily bringing message, but it's the connections that we make with the people we are bringing the message to. We really love that and we get excited and sometimes we pick up on thoughts of people so we make the joke, generally, but it resonates with some people, so we like to have fun when we are in this environment. And that's what we want really to do with the Crone Zone, we want to have some fun because the name itself is a little bit irreverent, the Crone Zone it's like you go to some restaurant or something and there is the kid's zone - they go over there to play, right out of sight and the adults can be here and have their adult time together with the children being looked after. So, it's a little bit like that with the Crone Zone, here we are and we are going to have our own space and our own fun. So, first of all we want to look at this, the word 'CRONE" and the concept of the Crone first. Many of you will know already, but we will just go over it. This concept of Crone or that word Crone is not really in use now, these more modern times, but not maybe a few hundred years ago it was very much in use, but of course like the word 'spinster' it is often used disparaging to describe a woman, right? When you look at those two words: 'spinster' and 'Crone' what is the thing that links then? Well if you are a spinster you shouldn't be having children, right because you are not married and it's not morally and socially accepted. It is different now, we are talking before times and then Crone as well you have gone past that time of bearing children, so it really sets up that that time of life when you can bear children is the most important time and when you think that historically it was, because then you were saleable. As a woman you were saleable, right. You weren't saleable as a Crone except perhaps for household work or something but as a fertile female you had something that nobody else, males and the opposite sides of that time, nobody else had that, that was your power, right? Of course, that power was not for many women was not allowed to be used productivity for them they were just a pawn in somebody else's power, if you like. But it still gave the woman a certain ability to be in control of the self somewhat. So those two terms: 'spinster' and 'Crone' were used in a disparaging way, discriminatory really and you would be called an old Crone and that was meant to make you to feel that you were not worthy anymore, that you were actually taking up space. So historically that idea of Crone has not a good wrap, that's the word: not a good wrap, but more and more for us when we became in that Crone time, if you like, it really freed us, it freed us up.
This story comes from a time before "Yggdrasil", the tree of life. The "Lament Tree" came first... and this is how this story starts and how man came to adapt, heal and learn. Shamanically, the story leads you to learn to interface with the natural world, to teach yourself. This story unfolded in the forth lecture by Mother Sha-Riah, from the lecture series on the shamanic tradition (Northern European). Mother Sha-Riah is channeled by Caroline for us, she is from our family ancestral healing line, who lived her whole life as a shaman in a nomadic clan. If you have an inclination to explore the shamanic tradition of Northern Europe, this story will help you expand your knowledge of how our ancestors embraced the sacred fire in ceremony and shamanic healing and development. A question from the group answered: Plant and tree Vibration - individual and collective. A question about changing water or things with pure intent: The full lecture is below. One of the Ancestral Medicine Women; Mother Treeball, well she came to the realisation later in life that her healing gift, was in the acquisition of knowledge and expansion through nomadic travel and living. And she noticed that this knowledge spread in her group spontaneously, without contact. This was her way of expanding and improving healing in the family and her nomadic clan. You might notice that your expanding knowledge is also now being shared unconsciously in your close friends also… have you spotted that? Knowledge as a healing gift? ~ by Shaman: Mother Sha-Riah Image source: unknown. Edited transcript of this audio recording: There are many cultures around the world that have spiritual beliefs where ancestors are involved, are expected to be involved, and are paramount in life. An aspect of these cultures is shaman, the shamanic tradition. But the honouring of the ancestors, the asking advice of the ancestors, or talking to the ancestors is not just unique to the shamanic tradition, it is in many different cultures. There are many reasons why the ancestors are so important in different cultures. Many cultures are hierarchical in life and so this follows in death; ancestors are above the current group, and of the groups to come, that is, the descendants. Ancestors have much life experience, human physical life experience and now, if you like, they are in the spirit world, and they can take that life experience, expand it and have more understanding of what went on. In these ways there is an honouring of the ancestors, for their lineage, experience, guidance, and life. However in the shamanic tradition we see that while all of the above is righteous and good, it is only a part of the whole. The whole is that your ancestors are you, you are your ancestors, just as your descendants are you, and you are your descendants. Whatever went on in the life of any ancestor in your lineage, is in some way, present in you. Now it might not be activated, it might not be something that you’re going to experience, but it is within you. When you think about it like that (your ancestors are you, and you are your ancestors), if you are not talking to your ancestors, if you are not trying to understand, if you are not striving to expand your own horizons by taking in what the ancestors have gone through, the knowledge they acquired, and the advice they can give, then what this really means is that you are not talking, understanding, gaining knowledge of, and expanding yourself. So, in some cultures talking to, or seeking the advice of, the ancestors is an accepted practice, however in many western cultures it is not. To say to someone, where the honouring of ancestors is not part of their culture, “have you spoken to the ancestors”, or, “have you asked the advice of the ancestors”, is not considered a normal course of action. It can cause amusement or query, but it can also cause anger, irritation and distress because the person does not like their ancestors, or they do not like what the ancestors have done to them, or others. They may be ashamed of the actions of their ancestors and want nothing whatsoever to do with them. At this point we must stress that ancestors do not have to be dead. Ancestors are the parents, and grandparents that are alive, even your own generation if you like, siblings and cousins, because they are in the group of the ancestral lineage. Perhaps this person is you, and you do not want to have anything to do with your ancestors, or you have just not thought about their value and place in your life before. By denying, or not honouring, your ancestors, your ancestral lineage, those that are alive and dead, you are actually denying yourself. Is that what you want to do? Do you really want to deny yourself knowledge, self understanding, self life, self expression? Is that really what you want to do? We would say that for most people, that is not what they want to do. They want to live their life, they want to be fulfilled, they want to be active, they want to have purpose, they want to have meaning, but if you are not going to admit into your life ancestral energy, both positive and negative, then your life is always going to have a void. It is not going to be complete, you will always going to be searching. Now, we are not saying that the ancestors are the only place you’re going to get answers, or that they are the only 'spirit guides' that can be in your life,
A message from The Mothers - from our newsletter. 2015 - The Coming Year and Beyond - a channeled message This is an excerpt from a channeling The Mothers did for January, 2015. If you would like to listen to the audio, you will find the links at the end of the piece. Enjoy! “We would urge all healers to become mentors to the rest of the planet. Say to them that I don't want you to be like me, you can never be like me because I am completely individual and unique in my beliefs, and the way that I express them. But, perhaps I can help you also become like that, become your one true self, find out what you're really aligned with, what really makes you tick, what really nourishes you. That's what I would like to do as your mentor, not make you like me, not draw you in to my web, but actually give you the skill to be who you are. We urge healers in this time period to become mentors, go out to the world and see where there are people who are floundering, who are lost, who are pinning all of their hopes, ideals, money, and beings onto things that are so fleeting that they are hardly even seen in the long picture of human history. Find these people, don't bombard them, don't make them feel bad about themselves, instead help them, mentor them to be, and to find, who they are, where they want to be, and help them find alignment within themselves. The people that we are talking about are not just under-nourished, they're lost, they are in complete chaos, they grab hold of every little thing that they think is going to take them to that point of completeness. But we say that only the self can take the self to the point of completeness. However we recognise that people need help with that, so we are urging all healers to be that person, be the person that can help people to reach that point. But you're going to have to go out and find those people, you can't wait for them to come to you. Groups of healers could come together, combining different modalities, beliefs and expressions, like a co-operative or consortium, so that the vulnerability of the individual is eradicated. Going out to the world in this way allows credibility and an element of freedom. Go to schools, youth refuges, homeless shelters and give them this hope, this offering, that they can actually live in this world as a complete and total human being without being part of something that is organised, institutionalised, or part of a system. You can be within, and work within the system of course, because that is how humans work, but you can be complete, nourished and fulfilled within, without being a part of it. This is our message for this time period. We hope that are somebody out there has gained something from this, and we really hope that this message infiltrates, over the next time period, the consciousness of many, many healers. We hope that those people find the courage and purpose to extend themselves, and in so doing extend other people, other humans, so that it's not just Gaia that humans understand they are impacting, but that they are impacting all of humanity with every step they take, no matter how small. Many blessings to you, and we wish you all the very best for this coming time. Thank you very much, thank you.” ~ Ancestral Medicine Women Audio transcript: direct link Subscribe here for more like this... Edited transcript: "So we want to talk a little bit about kindness. Now kindness is something that is thought of by some people as a weakness. It is thought of as something that may be the wool can be pulled over the kind person's eyes, this kind of thing, and it is not really something that is thought very highly of in modern society. However, we would like to say that kindness, we believe, is one of the great virtues, but employing it can be one of the great challenges. So, we believe it is one of the greatest virtues, but to actually do it is one of the greatest challenges, why? There are several reasons why we believe this. To be kind to somebody who is in some situation of distress, that is very easy, because you can really feel the emotion, and in feeling the emotion you realise that they are need of help. You automatically feel kind. When there is famine in other countries and there is a call to donate money, this type of thing, everybody feels this rush of kindness, this rush of feeling. What is happening is that their level of emotion, their level of distress is so great that all around the world, once it is known, many people can also feel it and so almost automatically their response to that is kindness, and they dig deep into their pockets and they give money and that makes them feel very good.... and then it is.... gone, right? Then it is forgotten. But they have been kind for that point and that is to be applauded, but then it is 'gone'. And that is why we say it is one of the greatest challenges, and one of the greater virtues because “to employ kindness, even when it is not required through some emotional exchange or through some desire to help somebody or feel good about yourself, that you actually employ kindness in all of your dealings, all of the time, with all of the people, and all of the situations that you come into contact with, that is really a challenge...” ... to be able to do that, to really be able to put yourself in that person's position and feel their emotions, feel the way they are feeling, all the time. This does not mean you diminish yourself, and that you cannot distinguish yourself from them, but what it is doing, what you are doing, is reaching out to this individual, drawing them out so that the two of you can meet, whether it is this situation, or whether it is country-to-country it does not matter, but there is this connection and kindness is one of the only things that can actually get that connection all the time. People will say it is “love”, and yes love is one thing, but love is very intimate and even though we should 'love one another like you would like to be loved', as the saying goes, we consider love to be a very intimate thing, you really have to know the person, you really have to have find some 'like' within them that is like you, so you can find this point of love. With kindness it's not like that. Actually with kindness you have to go forth and really feel the other person, you might not find there is anything in them to like that is like you, but to really go forth and to expand them to the point where you can feel their need, feel their desires, feel their wants and their inabilities, that is kindness. Do you see in your reaching out to them, and in this drawing out you are giving something of yourself, which is kindness? You see how the challenge is there, it is a great challenge. It is actually much more challenging than loving somebody or liking somebody, because even when you love or like somebody it is not necessary to be kind. But if you are living your life with this idea of kindness, you see the possibilities that can open up to you. If you are reaching out to somebody and really trying to draw them out, their feelings and their desires, all of the things we mentioned before, and then you are wanting to be kind to them because you have done that, do you see what you are doing?
