Third time's the charm, right? With home and work being the two places we are at most often, there is something special about whatever your third space is. Whether it is your church, local bar, art studio, or the gym, these places are where people choose to go to enjoy themselves and those around them. Without institutionalized roles, these places typically have a healthy mix of people from all walks of life, historically leading to discourse and advocacy.Join our hosts as they introduce the theme for this year, the concept of Home. They will dive deep into what a third space is, why they are important for society, and how it ties in to a feeling of home. Special guests Elijah Jenkins and Arsima Araya will also join us to discuss their work in advocating for a third space on the University of Chicago's campus, the Black Student House! This episode's hosts: Logan Toe and Aaron Dyas___________________________________________________________Join the KSFam! Welcome back KSFam! This is the first episode of our tenth season! To celebrate this milestone, we are diving into our namesake - what does it mean to be Kinda Sorta Brown? For some of us, it is term that gathers all people of color together. For others, it resembles a personal message of a multi-cultural background. No matter how we see it, we can agree "Kinda Sorta Brown" is a mantra that projects unity. That leads us to our broad theme for this season: community and coalition among people of color. It is a great thing to learn about the uniqueness of different groups, and discuss how we can be an ally to each other. Tune in for this upcoming season to discover why!________________________________________________________________________________This episode's hosts: Zara Salman, Narvella Sefah, Shanice Handley, Jordyn Smith, Mack Minter, Tanaya Vohra, Trinitee Holley, Lucy Whitehead, Meklet Demoz, Logan Toe, Myles Xavier, Faith Kumi, and Aaron Dyas Join the KSFam! Hey KSFam! It all starts with mom although we've come to the end of the road, we just can't let you go without discussing the pivotal role black mothers play in their sons' lives. The portrayal of Black men, in media, continues to have negative effects on the way Black boys perceive themselves and grow into adulthood. One way in which this poor representation is often combated is through the black mother's presence. Join hosts, Aaron, Logan, and Ethan on our last episode of the season as they sit down with black mothers and discuss the portrayal of black men in society while highlighting how black mothers help to transform boys into men.______________________________________This episode's hosts: Aaron Dyas, Logan Toé, and Ethan WaggonerJoin the KSFam! Think of your favorite museum. How is the museum layed out? Who or what does the museum give space to? What is exhibited? Where are said items from and how were they obtained? War, violence, and theft underlie the history of museums in addition to the artifacts that lie within them — a colonial undercurrent that is only beginning to be addressed in the present day. In this episode, join Hope and Jon as they discuss cultural repatriation and how black and brown people can reclaim their own narratives in these institutional spaces as they reimagine them with Debra Yepa-Pappan, artist and Native Community Engagement Coordinator at the Field Museum for the Native Truths Exhibition. ______________________________________This Episode's Host: Jon Brooks and Hope HoustonJoin the KSFam! In the two and half years since KSB's inception, going on eight seasons, the number of transformational guests we've welcomed, and the countless KSFam we have been listening in, our time has been spent learning, questioning, and diving into issues that matter to our POC communities. The opportunity to discuss these topics is vital for our communities to share our stories and experiences. But, as we know, our communities can not be limited to a one time listen, episode, or story. We must reevaluate, re-educate, and reimagine what we've previously explored. Reimingaing as a practice is what this new season will tap into. As one of our KSB team values is to learn and explore through stories, we are excited to take the KSFam on a journey of reimagining. We are growing, and this season is the practice of that. Reimagining allows us to back and look forward at the same time. Come along and reimagine with us all throughout Season 8.______________________This Episode's Host: Lena Diasti, Glen McGuire, Aaron Dyas, Narvella Sefah, Sam Herrera, Jon Brooks and Hope HoustonJoin the KSFam! Discussions on Palestine in the U.S. are always framed as a “conflict”, when the issue is not really a matter of two equally matched opponents, but rather the occupation and extraction of resources by Israel that has displaced Palestinians from their homes. Although Palestinians still in Palestine and those spread throughout the world continue to face challenges from the Israeli state, Palestinians continue to resist, persevere, and uplift each other, their traditions, culture, and homeland. We will be in conversation with a Palestinian who has asked to go by “Shireen”, in honor of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, who was a renowned Palestinian-American journalist who was assassinated by Israeli forces while on the job. Our guest's voice has been distorted to protect them from the doxxing tactics often used to silence activists. At KSB, we are committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized communities across the globe and we believe that it is imperative that voices like Shireen's are heard. We are appreciative of having Shireen on the podcast and hope you'll take a listen, learn, and share. (P.S. - We know that you all have been patiently awaiting the finale to our seventh season “Penny for Your Thoughts”, and we are beyond excited to share with you all this episode. When you think about the non-profit sector, what do you think: harmful or helpful? As the third largest workforce in the United States, the nonprofit sector creates 11.4 million jobs… What was once a web of grassroots and community-centered organizations has gained so much momentum that it has evolved into a multimillion dollar industry. In our episode, your hosts, Glen and Memphis, explore what has been lost along the way and who is still gaining from the non-profit world as it exists today. We are joined by our guest speaker, Gabby Green, the Public Policy Coordinator at Blackroots Alliance, a non-profit centered on the South Side of Chicago organizing with the goal of Black liberation. In our discussion, we open up conversation about the culture of the non-profit sector, the experience as an employee within it, and how the focus is shifting to, or away, from the communities these organizations claim to support. Glen and Memphis challenge you to evaluate your preconceptions about the intentions of nonprofit organizations, consider where your money is best spent, and reflect on whether bigger is actually better.__________________________________________This Episode's Host: Glen McGuire and Memphis CutchlowJoin the KSFam! It is no exaggeration to say that cash rules everything around us. The need for money dictates where we work, what we eat, and how we spend our free time. For those who are in an area of low income and low resources, it is even harder to function. It is easy to get stuck in a cycle that keeps one in the same place of poverty. In this episode, our hosts Lena and Aaron explore a big solution to this problem: education. They take a deep dive into the history of America and what events lead many people of color into a situation of less education and more scarcity. Then looking toward the future, they discuss how through dedication to education, many people who wouldn't have thought they could “make it out,” will end up somewhere better than they thought possible. Let's face it y'all, we can't all be rappers and hoopers to reach our goals—it's time to get educated.__________________________________This Episode's Host: Aaron Dyas and Lena DiastiJoin the KSFam! What exactly is our future? How do we envision it?After four intense season episodes where the KSB Team tried defining the future from four unique angles, we're turning the questions inward once again. Here, we share our reflections of where we imagine ourselves once we have reached our imagined futures…and it just so happens that in said futures, we are find ourselves scattered throughout the vastness of the universe. Taking direct inspiration from episode 3 of this season, Black to the Future, we hope that you have enjoyed the journey, and we'll see you again soon—in the future.__________________________________________This Episode's Host: Fernanda Ponce, Dinah Clottey, Jon Brooks, Narvella Sefah and Nicole Maria MateoJoin the KSFam! Green spaces are vital to our growth and survival as people. These spaces help provide sanctuary to care for ourselves and allow us to strengthen our connections to others and our community. The amazing benefits of engaging with green spaces, like gardens, however, may not be immediately apparent given the systemic forces that keep BIPoC from accessing places where we can be in nature. But as it so often happens, BIPoC have not allowed these obstacles to get in the way of sowing seeds of change and growing green communities where we look out for each other.Join us on this episode as we tend to our garden of stories and ideas, with guests Cade Kamaleson and LaQuandra Fair from Southside Blooms and Growing Home!__________________________________________This Episode's Hosts: Jon Brooks and Fernanda PonceJoin the KSFam! What does it mean to practice self care? And why is self care so important for Black people, especially Black women? With this on her mind, Narvella set out to explore the answers to these questions. And in seeking answers, she consulted with family and friends by asking them: how do you practice self care? For this episode, we encourage you to take a minute to take a deep breath, relax, close your eyes, and think about what self care means to you. What will you do today to care of you?(We hope listening to KSB is on that list of healing and caring practices. Do Black people exist in the future? This question, a tough question, seems to sit unanswered amongst the Black community. Often the victims of police violence and discrimination, a people where a Black girl can literally disappear without a trace, it's a real question. One way to think about futures is to literally dream about it, and there is so much rich literature that provides contexts, solutions, and more questions on this very topic. In this episode, we're discussing the futures of not just Black people, but more specifically, Black women as we dive into the discourse surrounding Black feminist theory and place it on a continuum we have yet to traverse. We are joined by guest T Lacy, the assistant director here at the University of Chicago writing program, to merge the discourse on Black Science-Fiction and Black Feminist Theory. We're taking y'all to the future! Are you ready?_____________________________This Episode's Host: Dinah Clottey and Nicole Maria Mateo Join the KSFam! We saved you a seat at the table. “There is no beginning and there is no end, and this drum is a big part of who we are as people…I use my drum when I sing to people and I refer to this drum as the Heartbeat of Mother Earth”. (If you're curious about how this episode got its name and/or the full context of our conversation with Ronnie Preston, Cultural & Education Programs Director at the American Indian Center in Chicago, make sure to tune in to this episode's Brown Breakdown!)At the core of “Heartbeat of Mother Earth”, KSB is taking a look at the colonialist policies that have affected Indigenous communities, and how Indigenous people have fought against oppression to be present in the making of futures where they reclaim their rights and space, and rewrite the narratives of who Indigenous people are. Artists of color are constantly being told how they can and should engage with their art and consumers are always placing their own artistic expressions onto pieces that aren't their own. But the real beauty of art is that art can be anything. And within its “anything-ness” art carries meaning, identity, and experience. But who gets to determine what one's art is? And how do BIPOC artists feel about others dictating what their art should be known as? What does it mean to police artistry?_____________________________This Episode's Hosts: Nicole Maria Mateo and Chase LeitoJoin the KSFam! We saved you a seat at the table. Countless artists of color have been erased from history books. In recent years, historians have been widening which artists receive their due recognition (like with Beethoven!), with many who work explicitly to fight whitewashed history. From composers of the classical era to iconic dancers of the 1900s, we'll be taking a look at how artists have been forced to conceal their melanin - or how they have embraced and celebrated it in their art. In this episode, Narvella and Hope come to uncover the pure beauty of Black art and how Black and Brown folks have built the foundation of several art forms. In this episode, we are joined by our amazing guest Honey Crawford, a Collegiate Assistant Professor of Theatre and Performance Studies with the University of Chicago, with interests including global feminisms, critical race theory, public spectacle, and protest while centering her studies on the Afro Brazilian cultural performance. Tune in to hear more about the ways we can appreciate Black and Brown art, artists, and their history._____________________________________This Episode's Hosts: Narvella Sefah and Hope HoustonJoin the KSFam! The purpose of music is to elicit an emotional response and, in the words of Beyonce, "reflect the times". Part of that includes bringing attention to forms of oppression and injustice that people face and using music to not only bring awareness to these injustices, but also as a call to act and fight for change in society. In this episode,we will explore the ways in which artists of color have utilized their gifts to advocate for their communities and inspire others to raise their voice. I want to use this episode to examine the ways in which artists such as Tupac, Lauryn Hill, Common, Janelle Monae, Noname, and so many others have raised their voice against poverty, police brutality, and other injustices and not only made people aware of these issues, but inspired a whole generation of people to fight for change. This episode is about discussing how music not only connects us, but mobilizes us to push back against racial oppression. Here is this episodes playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/68IimiooZmeff6030hVO63?si=88ce32dc0e60461f________________________________________This Episode's Host: Chase LeitoJoin the KSFam! Comedy is a vessel for the truth. Ever wondered why every great joke, every surprised laugh, feels like a realization? The art of laughing at oneself and the surrounding world, even when one might be more inclined to cry, is the art form by which movies like “Get Out” can elicit tears of laughter and sorrow, simultaneously. This is why the varied and many experiences of Black people in predominantly white societies, from driving while Black to exercising while Black, can be so tactfully spun into stories that get crowds out of their seats in an uproar, shocked by the humor inlaid in misfortune. Our own podcast team has quite a few of those stories, too, specifically about attending the University of Chicago. Join Lena in this episode as she introduces KSB's own excursion into satirical comedy — our top 10 finalist submission to the spring 2021 NPR College Podcast Competition: “PWI-ing While Black”!_____________________________________This Episode's Hosts: Lena Diasti, Hope Houston, Jon Brooks, Dinah Clottey, Chase Leito, and Daisy OkoyeJoin the KSFam! Art does not simply “imitate” life. Art IS life, in its most unadulterated, unabridged forms. Our brightest moments of humanity and darkest hours of adversity are recorded, without fail, in a world full of color, language, movement, sound, taste, space, and time. From racial and social injustice to a world-altering pandemic, art became the life raft of many. Or, rather, it was exposed for what it always has been: a universal healing agent, a fearless tool of self-definition, an extension of our consciousness, and so much more. But how exactly does art make such an incredible impact on our individual human experiences and our capacity to grow, learn, endure, suffer, and love as a community? In Season 5 of Kinda Sorta Brown, we ask the big questions about art in our everyday lives and in times of immense turmoil. Tune in to this kick-off episode, and hear our hosts for the season (Narvella, Hope, Lena, Chase, and Nicole) discuss the transformative role of a major art form (from vocal performance to generational knowledge) in their lives!__________________________________________This Episode's Hosts: Narvella Sefah, Hope Houston, Lena Diasti, Chase Leito, and Nicole Maria Mateo.Join the KSFam! Hopelessly romantic people are people who like to dream. Often, this means living out romantic fantasies through the film industry. But if you happen to be a Latinx person of color like this week's host, Fernanda, you might have noticed it's often hard to see yourself and the people of your community represented in romantic films. Latinx stories and characters in Hollywood have repeatedly been pushed to the margins. In today's episode, we're exploring exactly why that is and what it means to see more recognition and representation in Hollywood. Joining Fernanda is LA film critic and freelance writer, Carlos Aguilar (@carlos_film) to discuss movies, representation, and more in the Brown Breakdown. __________________________This Episode's Host: Fernanda PonceJoin the KSFam! On revolutionary love is an exploration of the stereotypes that often plague communities of color and how we as a collective have flipped those tropes on their heads in the past and in the present. Starting with the once deemed radical demonstration of self love with the Black Panthers to more common sayings of today, the demystification of: “black don't crack”, “brown don't frown”, “asian don't raisin”. How truthful are these sayings? And how do we make these generalizations valid with generations of traditional self care practices? All of these questions will be answered in this episode. We'll also hear from Danielle Gray, a beauty expert and two other KSFam listeners. And if you didn't know already, POC self love IS revolutionary, so hop on for the ride and join the revolution.___________________________________________________________________ This Episode's Host: Nicole Maria MateoJoin the KSFam! KSB has spent the season talking about some of the recent headlines that captivated us and significantly impacted Black and Brown communities. But why stop there? In this finale of Season 3 of Kinda Sorta Brown, we have one question: what headlines are living in our guests' minds rent-free? Take a trip with host Lena Diasti through an imagined day of very real news stories (about everything from Critical Race Theory to UK regulations on chronic pain) as encountered and described by past guest speakers and our own KSB team members, from London to Washington, D.C. and back to Chicago. Now, we turn the question over to you. What headlines are living in your mind rent-free? Our guest speakers for this episode, in the order they appear, are as follows: Jameisha Prescod, London based filmmaker and chronic illness advocate Narvella Sefah, rising sophomore at UChicago and KSB Front-End Team contributor Professor Robert L. Tsai, author and Professor of Law at the Boston University School of Law Nicole Maria Mateo, rising sophomore at UChicago and KSB Audio Engineer Team contributor Fernanda Ponce, rising junior at UChicago and KSB Content Creation Team contributor Mireya Gutierrez, Intake Specialist at Instituto del Progreso Latino__________________________________________This Episode's Host: Lena Diasti (Executive Producer, https://www.instagram.com/lenadiasti/)Join the KSFam! After years of Trump's blatantly bigoted, anti-immigrant rhetoric, a new tide has turned - or has it? In the midst of Trump-era immigration policy reversals by the Biden administration, VP Kamala Harris recently told Guatamalens “do not come,” in her first trip overseas, sending mixed signals in a situation that serves as a microcosmic example of America's long history of hypocrisy on the subject. Within one breath, America touts itself as a country that has long-welcomed immigrants, and then openly discourages them from coming in the next. Which immigrants have America historically “welcomed,” and how does America's immigration past connect to harmful narratives that are perpetuated presently? How have narratives surrounding immigration changed, and how have policies affected those narratives? What happens when immigration leaves the front page, and what happens to immigrants when cameras stop rolling? Join our hosts Chase and Jon as they tackle these questions and discuss how you can support immigrant communities of color with our special guest, Mireya Gutierrez of Instituto Del Progreso Latino.__________________________________________This Episode's Guest Speaker: Mireya Gutierrez of Instituto Del Progreso LatinoThis Episode's Host: Chase Leito (Audio Engineer) and Jon Brooks (Social Media Coordinator).Join the KSFam! In a country founded on principles of free speech, one where Fox News finished 2020 claiming the title of “most-watched cable news channel in history”, the outcry of “silenced conservatism” may sound ironic. But is there truth to this sentiment? What do Twitter and the Facebook Supreme Court have to do with it? What could it mean for minority groups, people of color, those with historically ignored voices when we vest silencing power in private organizations? Let’s take a ride through the Constitution, a cause mutual to civil rights activists and white supremacists, fires of free speech under private companies, and the marketplace of ideas to find out. Daisy will discuss these topics and more in conversation with Professor and Law Alumni Scholar Robert L. Tsai of the Boston University School of Law, a prolific author who is well-versed in everything from civil rights and social movements to the First Amendment itself._____________________________________This Episode’s Guest Speaker: Professor Robert L. In our haste to digitize, computerize, and distill our world into comma-separated values and JSON files, necessities of diversity, diversity in data collection, and diversity in programmers gets lost in the mix and is deemed unimportant. So, when a Black man and his friends are tagged as “gorillas” by Google Photos’ facial recognition software, when a TikTok story book semblance filter turns white people into royalty and POC into animals or monsters, when the implicit and explicit biases of the people behind the lines of code appear in the user interface of these public programs, we are left to ask, is social media racist?! Just as children can be taught to be racist through socialization, artificial intelligence and machine learning models learn to be racist as they reflect the biases of their “parent” programmers. It is critical that we ask ourselves to examine and interrogate the data beyond the typical performance tests. Who is building these models, and what kinds of data collection shortcomings could give such skewed results as the mis-categorization of humans as primates? How can we retrace and reconnect the end product outputs and programs to the prejudice that leads to discriminatory tendencies? In other words, how do we work to fix this data-driven world? Our hosts Lena and Dinah are joined by special guest Dr. Michael C. Dawson, a Professor of Political Science here at the University of Chicago. In this episode, we are getting down into the true essence of coding hate and the ways in which technology and social media input data from the real world and reproduce these biases online. But technology does not have to rule our world. One way or another, we are reclaiming our data and taking a stance against online prejudice. There are numerous variations of American English, yet none suffer the amount of stigma that African American Vernacular English (AAVE) does. “Unprofessional” and “uneducated” are only some of the words that often brand those who speak it. Yet, not everyone bears the burden of this linguistic prejudice equally. While non-Black people capitalize off of AAVE under the guise of “internet slang,” Black people often find themselves policing their use of the dialect -- a common phenomenon known as “code-switching” -- in favor of what is considered to be “Standard American English”, which, unlike other variations of English, is spoken nowhere. Join host Jon in his first mini episode with special guest (and *new KSB team member*) Narvella, as they dive into the co-opting of AAVE online and why you should think harder the next time you use “internet slang” in your vocabulary. This episode will have you questioning the validity of any “standard” language and Credit Karma's problematic use of AAVE.______________________________________________________________________This Episode’s Host: Jon Brooks (Communication Director)Join the KSFam! The disabled population is the LARGEST minority group in the world. But have you even heard about the Disability Civil Rights Movement or the diverse culture and identities created by people with disabilities? Probably not. We live in a world that still gives Hollywood the O.K. on “cripface” (most notably with Sia’s 2020 movie “Music”). A world where police brutality afflicts people with “underlying conditions” all too often. TikTok mods are told to penalize disabled people for looking “unappealing”. Major items, like work-from-home jobs, on the agenda of disability advocates are only realized when able-bodied people demand it. We're all ableists to some degree, and it’s high time to get educated. Join Hope and Daisy as they take an eye-opening trip through disability advocacy history, art, accessibility, identity, and activism in Chicago and the United States, with special guests Cassidy Medina (Co-President of UChicago’s Students for Disability Justice) and Candace Coleman (Community Development Organizer on Racial Justice for Access Living)._____________________________________This Episode’s Hosts: Hope Houston (Production Manager, https://www.instagram.com/hhnh810/) and Daisy Okoye (Content Creator, https://www.instagram.com/daisyokoye/ ). Season 3: Color Between the Headlines -- Your favorite podcast is finally back! Spring is in the air, and our hosts have been hard at work creating new material for you all to resonate with and reflect on. Speaking of which... media overload is tooo real right now. News articles, social media posts, echo chambers, “For You” pages, content, content, content, REPEAT. But what happens to all of those headlines, the stories impacting diverse communities of color, that fall to the bottom of the digital news pile? On this third season of KSB, titled “Color Between the Headlines”, we’ll strive to elevate those stories once again, in conversation with incredible humans on the frontlines of the issues at hand. On this particular episode, join your hosts Lena, Hope, Jon, Dinah, Chase, and Daisy (supported by our new team members, Narvella, Fernanda, and Nicole) as they jump into a convo about 2020’s surge of (performative) activism, echo chambers, social media fatigue, and our own podcast’s position in the world of the media._____________________________________Join the KSFam! Throughout the season we’ve discussed how different issues — from housing to policing — can bring about unrest within our communities. Despite the unrest, we’ve seen how communities build unity to address these issues and fight back against the problems they cause. Lex Thompson, our guest speaker, joins us to address what about when we are excluded from our own communities? How do we grapple with accepting ourselves when our community doesn’t because of our sexual orientation or gender? On this week’s episode, Chase revisits the concept of intersectionality, how our different identities intersect, and how these intersections can further marginalize people within their own community. You won’t want to miss the season finale of the CommuniTEA: Unity and Unrest with a surprise announcement at the end. Stay tuned and stay close KSFam.
Who are the homeless? Maybe it’s someone you know. Housing insecurity is real, pervasive, and traumatic. As the COVID-19 pandemic drags on, more and more people are teetering on the edge of homelessness. But what historical factors impact where traditionally segregated groups of people choose (or are forced) to reside in the first place? What policies have made it especially difficult for Black and Brown people to own property in high-resource neighborhoods? On this Chicago-centric episode of the Kinda Sorta Brown podcast, jump in with Dinah and Daisy as they navigate the evolution of housing segregation. Then, tune in for a “Homeless 101” conversation with the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless guest speakers Claudia Cabrera and Maxica Williams, the Special Projects Organizer and a passionate Speakers Bureau Advocate, respectively. Join us to find out how their fascinating heritages and unique identities as a cancer survivor, a person with a disability, Black and Latinx women, and an immigrant fuel their passion for advocacy and social work.
It has been less than 70 years since the landmark case Brown v. Board of Education desegregated America’s education system, yet education still seems to be largely divided along racial lines. Achievement gaps have proven that marginalized students are being left behind--underserved, under-supported and under-resourced--and in the age of COVID-19 and online learning, this chasm is widening. Join hosts Hope and Jon as they delve into the intersection of race, wealth, and education, in conversation with educators Tavonda Palmer and Isaiah Melendez to reimagine the education system and discuss community-building in the classroom.
Let's dive into the realities of the intersection of identity inherent in being a Black woman and an entrepreneur. Join Dinah as she discusses how the broader business industry treats marginalized communities and provide real and present examples of the barriers to success faced across the board. It will touch on the Black economy and how economies of color differ from the predominant white economy as well as how people treat calls for more support of Black-owned businesses — calls that the Black Reckoning of the past year saw repeatedly. This episode features Chicago based crochet artist Chelsea Billingsley and her experience growing her business during the global pandemic. Chelsea emphasizes the importance of community and how her community in the Southside of Chicago helped shape and nurture her work. Having not seen any Black crochet artists designing clothing meant for the millennial generation, Chelsea became the first. She started her business out of passion and hopes to light a path for other Black girls and boys to follow their dreams, to stretch their imaginations to see just how far they can go. Come join the conversation and let's get Black in Business.
Let’s take a moment to reimagine. The police state claims the role of safety, power, and accountability in communities, with the argument that they are there for “us”. This episode will not be discussing who is included in this “us”, because, at KSB, we know it was never our communities. Get awakened with hosts Lena and Chase as they go beyond, diving into the work of building community power and safety with their special guest Alycia Kamil from Good Kids Mad City. You’ll also hear from the voices of our KSFam who shared their thoughts about the police state, community power, and reimagining where we can go from here. Tune in, learn with us, allow yourself to re-envision, and think about how you can contribute to that vision.
