Welcome to “Rainman’s Take”! My name is Brian, the “Rainman” Lukacz and I’m based in Southern California. The name Rainman was my callsign from my days flying helicopters in US Marine Corps. Some of the things you can expect from the show. First, the format will be a variety podcast. I’m an insatiable reader, and I’m trying to understand the truth or as close to it as we can get. I love talking about history, politics, current affairs, cultural issues, you name it, if it interests me you will get my “Take” on it. The schedule will be one episode a week coming out on Thursdays. I start
Congressman George Santos is a liar and needs to be kicked out of congress. However, this type of behavior has been going on for a long time and just shows how broken the system is. What are some of the things we can do about it, well consecutive term limits would be a good start, but I'm not holding my breath. Enjoy!
I recently sent a text to my friends, it was a picture of me with a gorgeous San Diego sunset in the background. The text accompanying the picture stated, "California's politics suck, but the (January) sunsets do not". This is very apparent in how the state handles excessive water accumulation like we've had in the recent snow and rain storms. The states mis-managed water for several years and unfortunately shows no signs of stopping. Anyone who watched Monday Night Football on January 2nd witnessed a chilling scene. Damar Hamlin, safety for the Buffalo Bills, was injured and needed CPR to be revived. This happened on live TV in front of millions of viewers and for a week shook the NFL world. Thankfully Damar Hamlin is on the road to a full recovery now but what did it do to the game of football? Enjoy Rainman's take on this very question.
Elon Musk continues to upset the apple cart with his "Twitter Files" dump. It proves beyond a shadow of a doubt there was coordinated collusion between the government and private sector (big tech companies) to censor any and all opposing viewpoints to the "official narrative". This propaganda and coordination is the hallmark of a fascist state, and guess who in the US is perpetrating this? Enjoy contents: 0:52 Subscribe! 1:30 Intro to the topic of the day 2:45 "Twitter Files" dump 4:00 What is Fascism? 6:55 Mainstream media is not covering this story 7:55 Disturbing revelations from the "Twitter Files" dump 10:50 Tyler Durden's explanation of why this is so dangerous
Consultant to the DOD and CIA, and Best selling author Jim Rickard's discusses his latest book, "Sold Out". The book is an in-depth look at what has happened to the international supply chain and how it is and will impact the global economy and geo-politics. Jim has a talent for explaining complex issues so everyone can understand them. Enjoy!
In this video, I talk about the father of the ancient alien theory, with Janet Sitchin. Zacharia Sitchin is a pioneer in the study of ancient astronaut theories and her work has had a huge impact on the field of archaeology. If you're interested in the origins of our species, then be sure to watch this video! Janet Sitchin discusses the life and research of her uncle, Zacharia Sitchin, a researcher and translator of the ancient Sumerian cuneiform writing. Zacharia's books, The Twelfth Planet and the other books that make up the Earth Chronicles were the culmination of a lifetime of research into this ancient culture. His works are considered foundational to the ancient alien theory. Enjoy 0:50 - 1:30 subscribe 1:30 - 2:30 Intro to Janet Sitchin
In this episode of E89, we're getting kicked out of our dorms and into the voting booth. We discuss the candidates, the polls and the importance of the midterm election. Tune in to hear what we have to say! Midterm elections are behind us but still no clear winners in several races. Rainman discusses a few topics he felt were instrumental in the outcome including the Trump effect and abortion. He also gives his take on the hyperbolic rhetoric leading up to the elections and how frustrating it is to put up with. This is what the Rainman thinks when he hears about a current weather event being described as the worst since a similar event which occurred xyz years ago. Maybe his logic is wrong but doesn't that just mean that climate change is cyclical and that we are just living through a cycle of climate that was going to occur with or without outside influences (read human influence). What do you think? Enjoy!
What does it take to bring a very popular sport like women's volleyball into a new professional sports league? League One Volleyball (LOVB) is attempting to do just that and they are really making headway. Europe already has women's professional volleyball leagues and now it's time for it to start in the US. A very cool discussion about professional sports, entertainment and a new league. Enjoy! RAINMAN'S NOTE: Karen is not my first female guest she is my first in-person female guest.
Sometimes it takes people being away from the United States to realize just how a special a place this is. Brittany Griner knows after being locked in a Russian jail cell for 10 months. I'm glad she's back home and even more glad she's decided to stand for the anthem of this great country. I think this is important and more people should know about her change of heart. Enjoy! Contents: 0-1:44 Intro and call to subscribe 1:45 - 4:15. my take on Brittany Griner now standing for the anthem 4:15 - 5:30. My take on the article 5:30 - 7:45. we have become over civilized, and that is not good 8:10 - 10:15. why does that passage resonate with me 10:15 - 11:15. Left wing always goes to "Uncle Tom" 11:15 - 13:50. The only way to destroy America is from within 14:05 - 15:30. These evils still exist in the world, just not in the US 15:50 - 17:30. How do we counter the movement to dismantle the US? 19:45 - 21:05. Why do some feel the need to destroy the US?
Rainman gives his take on the climate change narrative after reading an article in the New York Times. Geopolitical events are not helping with this narrative and the need for increased control from governments and international elites. Enjoy!
Rainman discusses recent polling showing a lack of trust in the main stream media. He also highlights two interviews that seem to reflect that feeling and uses them as examples of why there is a lack of trust. The fourth institution is so important to the health of our constitutional republic, but only if it is impartial and dedicated to "truth" and holding leaders accountable. Unfortunately the current state of our media has devolved into propaganda arms of either side of the aisle. That is a problem and that is why many people do not trust the media. Enjoy!
Rainman gives his take on two other noteworthy news articles of this past week. Iran is acquiring uranium by any means necessary; enemies of the US are establishing footholds in central and South America. Also, the New York Times just stated what has been obvious to us for two years, Hunter's laptop is actually newsworthy. Plus some bonus professional wrestling at the end...Enjoy!
Your host Rainman reads the entire DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE on the weekend of the 246th anniversary of the birth of our great country. Also, some takes on what the constitution means especially in today's crazy world. Millions of people from around the world still want to come to the USA, it is still the "Shining city on the hill" as Reagan once said. There is a lot of reason to be optimistic about the USA. Enjoy!
A great discussion about the geopolitics of central asia over the last decade in particular in Pakistan. (PODCASTER'S NOTE: AT 4:56 JOJO TALKS ABOUT RECOGNITION OF THE DURANT LINE, THE BORDER; ACTUALLY THE AFGHAN AMIR ACKNOWLEDGED IT IN 1893. THE PAKISTANI GOVERNMENT STILL ACKNOWLEDGES IT, BUT THE TALIBAN DOES NOT. IT'S AN ONGOING SOURCE OF TENSION). Rainman and JoJo talk about JoJo's experiences while being stationed in Islamabad, Pakistan and just how important that area of the world has been over the last 20 years. They go from the killing of Osama Bin Laden to current issues with contested borders. Pakistan will continue to be very important moving into the future and will most likely impact how much influence China will have in the region. Enjoy!
Dr. Christian Bannerman joins me to discuss the modern transformation of Ghana, Africa. I don't know much about Africa so it's nice to talk to someone from there to help understand what is happening over there. Because like I always say, if you only get your news from one source, you're not informed. I can't wait to go on one of Christian's missions. Enjoy!
Jeff Morris runs the Encinitas Watchdog Group and they have been actively monitoring how the homeless issue became a crisis in Encinitas, CA. This issue did not happen organically, it was basically manufactured by arguably a corrupt system that is designed to make money off the homeless issue. It's a sad commentary but one that is actually happening not just in Encinitas, CA but I would suggest, all over the country. It's not a pleasant topic but it's very informative. Enjoy
CC King discusses his experiences early on with the anti-doping commission and the research and chemistry involved in trying to catch athletes cheating by artificially enhancing their bodies. But there is more to this topic and with the advances in biomechanics among other things, the question becomes almost more of philosophical one; what constitutes cheating and how far can/should we go to reach the pinnacle of human performance. Really interesting stuff. Enjoy!
This is a great conversation about QUANTUM THEORY, ENTANGLEMENT, AND ZERO POINT THEORY. Check out the links below for more on what Kevin talks about... It's all energy and we as beings made of energy are subject to these amazing forces. Kevin helps people better understand their position in the line as far as how their energies can dictate how they are living their lives. Really cool stuff is QUANTUM THEORY and ENTANGLEMENT ...Enjoy! Here is the precognitive reaction/heart intelligence study: https://youtu.be/apK8h1B9UbQ And here is the distances between the pyramids: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTdpA8h5V/?k=1 #quantumtheory #quantumentanglement #quantum
Former submarine commander, current Captian in the Merchant Marines, and President of Bartlett Maritime Corporation, Ed Bartlett joins Rainman's Take to discuss the current status of the US naval fleet. There's a lot to be concerned about but there are solutions. The problem is they require a political will that seems to be missing in Washington, DC right now. A fascinating discussion about the current state of affairs and what can be done to start to fix the problems. The status of our fleet is especially important right now because of what is happening with China and the South China Sea. Enjoy!
Shaman practitioner Steve Bell discusses the benefits and importance of being in nature and tapping into its awesome energy. However, civilization, especially in the West over the last two millenia have gotten away from that connection. Maybe it's time we start to get that back in our lives because the energy of nature can have a very powerful impact on our outlook on life. Enjoy!!
Another great conversation with historian and author, Joe Connell. Joe's an encyclopedia on the subject of the Irish war of independence and subsequent Irish civil war. His latest book, "The Terror War" focuses on the ugly reality of terrorist tactics used by both the British and Irish forces. He also discusses the lingering trauma, sometimes for generations, that result from terror tactics. All the wars since the beginning of time have involved terrorist tactics. It's ugly and not fun to talk about but if you want to really understand the realities of wars like the Irish war of independence, then Joe's book is a must read. We delve deep into the topic in this conversation. Enjoy!
You like whiskey? I like whiskey. That's why I interviewed Matt "Woody" Kidd, co-founder and head distiller at Storyhouse Spirits. We talk all things distilled spirits and had a great time, I know you'll enjoy it. Cheers
Find out what it's like to play competitive poker and participate in the 2019 World Series Of Poker with my guest Kim Frost. As with anything, to be great at poker takes a lot of practice, studying, and yes, sometimes luck...Kim is a great interview and it made me look at poker differently. You gonna hold 'em or fold 'em? Enjoy!
Great conversation with results coach Damilare Adeyeri. Think about this; why do the greatest athletes in the world, say someone like Tiger Woods, need a coach? Surely that individual won't be a more accomplished golfer. Tiger benefits from a coach because it is someone who can objectively help him tap into his best effort. Results coaching at any level helps clarify what it is that someone wants and then, and more importantly, why they want it, by asking focused questions and requiring a level of accountability required to get someone to be their best. A really cool interview on a very interesting topic. Enjoy!
Money Flow Co owner Nicole Lombard discusses her mission of helping women change their money mindset and take charge of their financial lives. We discuss the two areas, crypto currencies and real estate, Nicole has focused on over the last two years. The crypto discussion in particular was fascinating because I, like most people, really have no understanding of this vehicle that is quickly becoming more mainstream. Like she says; when banks, millionaires and billionaires start embracing cryptos, it might not be a bad idea to get yourself educated on their potential benefits. No buy/sell recommendations just some good background into this interesting and little known trend. Enjoy!
Rainman gives his take on several numbers he's noticed in the news recently. These news stories caught his attention specifically for the numbers involved and also provide some insight into what he'd like to see in a perfect world...Enjoy!
Great conversation with an old friend and leadership coach, Chris Steer, Owner and Chief "Permanent Beta" Officer of Steer LLC. We discuss the concept and practice of leadership, can it be taught or is it something innate, someone who has that "IT"? There are plenty examples in today's world of really good leadership and unfortunately, also some really bad examples of it in our world right now. Are you a good leader, do you have what it takes to be a good leader? Watch and find out. Enjoy!
My take on volunteering ones time and resources. The world is a better place when we take care of each other. I feel the citizens of the United States are a very generous. I believe that when people feel free to make the best for themselves it is natural to want to help others. Once one feels secure, they are able to look outward to provide assistance to others...maybe in gratitude for any good fortune that comes ones way. And on a selfish level, it actually feels really good. Enjoy
The recent release of 'Matrix Resurrections' movie has brought again debate about the classic 'red pill/blue pill' question from the original, and classic movie, 'Matrix'. The woke culture says it wanted to 'take the red pill trope back from the political right'. In my view, the political right or left doesn't matter, it is a fight against all government overreach and control. Regardless of Right of Left a government that has total control and uses all the things at their disposal to keep their citizenry in the dark of their activities, that type of government needs to be confronted by the citizens. By being red pilled, one becomes aware of what has been going on behind the scenes and realizes they have only been a slave to a system that just wants to control them. Reads like right out today's headlines, so seems very timely to talk about that famous question...Enjoy!
Another great interview with DOD consultant and naval power expert Jerry Hendrix. Jerry's latest publication in Foreign Policy magazine is titled, "Sea Power Makes Great Powers", discusses the direct relationship between and empire's naval fleet and their influence on the world. This does not bode well for the US as our naval forces shrink. This is a far reaching interview that hits on very timely actions by the Chinese and US in the South China Sea. A must watch for any student of geo-politics and Brzezinski's, "The Grand Chessboard". Enjoy!
Doug Lindamood is a rancher in Wyoming who specializes in regenerative agriculture in the raising of his grass fed livestock. His beef is truly grass fed and aside from being nutrient rich and all natural, his farming practices are helping to regenerate the land. A fascinating interview about the benefits of his style of farming and the health benefits for his beef. He really is helping to save the planet. How's this for something you won't hear in the climate change argument; eat his beef and help save the planet! Makes me want a steak right now. Enjoy!
Joe "Snooze" Crane's podcast, Veteranonthemove has been going strong for almost 8 years. The idea behind the podcast was to interview military veterans who became entrepreneurs after serving. His website, www.veteranonthemove.com, is full of resources for any active duty warriors getting ready to transition into the civilian workforce. If that's you out there, check out Joe's podcast and website for some great information to help you realize you goal of transforming into an entrepreneur. Enjoy!
Joe Rogan put out a less than 2 minute video about his thoughts on freedom and the potential of government overreach. I agree with everything he said and this is my take on some of the points made in the video.
Rainman talks with CC King and Casey Davis of the Diabetes Research Connection (DRC) about their innovative approach to charitable giving in the fight for a cure for Type 1 diabetes. Their process allows donors to have a direct connection with the research they are funding; transparent and an incredibly efficient use of donated funds. A very informative and enjoyable discussion. Enjoy!
Author and USMC combat veteran, Dan "Shoeshine" Sheehan discusses the transition from writing non-fiction to fiction. "It's a hell of lot more fun" is how he describes it. Fantasy, mythology, mushrooms, and let your imagination go! A great interview about that transformation and what it takes to write in the fantasy genre. Enjoy!
Mike Oristian, former candidate in the CA53 congressional primary, discusses a wide range of current issues including; covid and the vaccination debate, censorship, the Afghanistan debacle and our election integrity. There is so much going on right now that has the ability to seriously impact the fate of our great country. We discuss a lot of information for you to digest, then go do your own research and come up with a conclusion on how you feel about what is happening today. Enjoy!!
This is a great interview with Mark Montgomery, Executive Director of the Cyberspace Solarium Commission (CSC), a public private commission set up to present recommendations to the current administration on how to beef up our country's cybersecurity. This topic is front and center in the news and Mark is a subject matter expert. I learned a ton about the complexities involved in trying to implement programs and strategies to help keep US critical infrastructure safe from future cyber attacks. A fascinating interview I know you'll like. Enjoy!
That used to be just science fiction. Not today. Jerry Hendrix, military expert and consultant to the DOD discusses the new US Space Force and our space policy. The future is now and the major powers (US, Russia, China) are all planning for the reality of operating in space. Exploration, expansion, commerce, conflict...it's playing out on in current headlines. You will learn a ton and enjoy the conversation. Enjoy!
This is a great interview! Andrew Utt is the Executive Director of the (soon to be) Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA). A very philosophical conversation about art and a museum's place in civilization and culture; and what does it mean to collect "objects" and why do we humans do it? Whether or not you've ever stood in the presence of Michael Angelo's "David", you will get a lot out of this interview. There are two things happening right now in America that should be cause for concern. It's similar to the analogy of boiling the frog; if the heat of the water is turned up too quickly, the frog will jump out of the pot; but if the water's temperature gradually increases over a period of time, the frog may not recognize it's boiling until it's too late to escape... The two things I'm referring to are; what in my view looks like a well planned effort to to tear down the US, and the desires of the global elite to bring about the "Great Reset". It seems like there are forces in and outside of our country that have been working behind the scenes to undermine our republic and in the world of covid, now are making a full court press to do serious damage to our way of life, and hopefully it's not too late; like the analogy of boiling a frog, imperceptible increases in temperature of the water until it boils and it's too late to escape. Enjoy!
My guest Kevin Russell and I talk about how his YouTube channel earlier this year was permanently banned without notice or explanation. He was able to get it back up but it's a cautionary tale of the dangers of any type of censorship. Timely subject matter. I bring my wingman, the Sage, back to help me interview Dan Vaughn, President of the Board of Directors of the Olivenhain Town Council and a member of the Encinitas Residents for Responsible Development. We take a deep dive into the politics and challenges of the Encinitas Housing Element and some of the absurd development plans trying to be pushed through the City Council. A ton of information so enjoy and get involved!
My take on the energy healing session I did this week with Shaman practitioner, Steve Bell of, "The Sacred Truth". I always thought I was incapable of being able to truly integrate with the energies around me. Everything is energy and everything is connected. We just may not feel it at the level where we live our everyday lives. In order to experience this I needed to go into the "Well" with Steve (for a description of the "Well" go to his website: www.thesacredtruth.com). This was a very ritualistic session based on Steve's years of shaman training. I went in with an open mind and was very pleasantly surprised at the experience. For a brief time I felt like I was tapping into the energies around me and it was fascinating. Again, I didn't think I was the right type of person for this but I really enjoyed my session and will definitely do it again. Enjoy!
One veteran and one shelter dog. My interview with Shelter to Soldier founder, Graham Bloem. Graham is a professional dog trainer with an incredible relationship with our veterans. We talk about how he got involved with veterans as well as what it takes to train a shelter dog to become and emotional support pet for a veteran suffering from PTSD and other non-visible trauma. If you love dogs and know a veteran, you will love this interview, Graham's doing some amazing things. Enjoy! Al Kocourek runs Feed the Hungry San Miguel (de Allende, MX). He has taken this organization from a struggling, bloated and ineffective group to a successful non-profit that has served over 11 million meals to people in need over the years. He discusses how they have done this with little to no assistance from the Mexican government. An example of what can happen when government gets out of the way of good people with big hearts so they can use their skills to do some great work for their communities. Eye opening and very interesting. Enjoy! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

A friend of mine sent me and a few other guys an email a few days ago with an attached photo. It was of a street corner and a nice building covered in graffiti. Part of the graffiti design was the phrase, "Nothing makes sense anymore". He thought it thought provoking so he sent it to us. Thought provoking indeed; if young city kids who spray paint other people's property are feeling this way then something has permeated our society all the way. Our world is changing and it feels like nothing will ever be the same...An interesting phrase especially in today's environment; what does it all mean, my take... --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
