This week the Men's Intuition Roundtable discuss Death. Divine Intervention: Trunnis Goggins Jr shares an anecdote about his uncle, a Vietnam War door gunner who survived being shot down three times without injury, as evidence that "when it's your time to go, it's your time to go" and divine intervention will occur if it's not your time. Near-Death Experience: Mark Patterson recounts his own profound near-death experience, asserting that death is an illusion and involves a shift in focus akin to changing TV channels. He emphasizes that the soul is eternal and individuals choose whether to return to their physical bodies or transition to a higher dimension. No Hell, Only Heaven: Mark challenges traditional religious beliefs by stating that no one goes to hell. He posits that everyone returns to heaven, their place of origin, regardless of their beliefs. Reincarnation and Karma: Mark suggests that these concepts were originally part of early Christianity and have been validated by his personal experiences and study of religious history. Post-Death Consciousness Work: Kevin advocates for guided visualization to overcome fear and uncertainty surrounding death. He describes a personal experience using visualization to work through the process of dying and experiencing the peace and interconnectedness of post-death consciousness. Tethered by Negative Emotions: Both Mark and Kevin Russell discuss the idea of being "tethered" to the physical world after death by unresolved emotions like grief, pain, and guilt. They suggest that these emotions can hinder the transition to higher realms. Reuniting with Loved Ones: Mark assures listeners that they will reunite with loved ones who have passed on in the afterlife, describing it as a reunion with their "soul family." He emphasizes the importance of letting go of grief and pain to facilitate the transition for both the deceased and those left behind. Thinning of the Veil: Kevin highlights the possibility of connecting with deceased loved ones through heightened experiences like near-death experiences or practices like breathwork that stimulate extrasensory perceptions. He encourages open curiosity and a willingness to challenge limiting beliefs to access these abilities. Significance of Halloween and Day of the Dead: The discussion touches on the origins of Halloween and Day of the Dead as celebrations honoring ancestors and acknowledging the thinning of the veil between the physical and spiritual realms. Doug contrasts the commercialization of Halloween in Western cultures with the more traditional celebration of Day of the Dead in Latin American cultures. Importance of Honoring Deceased Loved Ones: Kevin encourages listeners to engage in practices like asking for signs from loved ones and staying present in daily life as ways to connect with and honor those who have passed. Sharing Grief and Supporting Others: Doug and Trunnis share their perspectives on the importance of talking about deceased loved ones and supporting those who are grieving. Trunnis announces his upcoming book, "Stories of Children Lost," which aims to provide solace and guidance to parents who have experienced the loss of a child. info@dougbeitz.com dougbeitz.com facebook.com/dougbeitz instagram.com/dougbeitz

Shinyribs is an Austin Texas band that began in 2007 as a side project for Kevin Russell, who also goes by Kev, and was then still committed to The Gourds, the band he had co-founded fifteen years earlier. A few years later, The Gourds released their last album, and Kev sauntered over to Shinyribs full time. Known for his showmanship on stage and for a big band approach to both the concept and performances of his music, and drawing from a smorgasbord of funky roots-rock, big band swing, Tex-Mex, screaming soul and burlesque blues, while pumping out infectious rhythms and topping it all with hooky harmony, Shinyribs is a party waiting to happen. At least that is what it sounds like on first listen, and looks like at first glance. Shinyribs is a shindig, and a large one at that, but it is also a vehicle for Kev's unique brand of poetry, which can point to deeper, darker issues at times, especially on his latest album Transit Damage. I spoke with Kev in early October 2023 on a crisp, clear autumn afternoon in the rolling foothills of the Upstate of South Carolina countryside before Shinyribs' performance as a headliner at The Albino Skunk Music Festival, where we talked about the secret sauce that went into his new album, about making good records in the studio and being equally good live, how starting Shinyribs felt like a hail mary to him at first, plus we discuss James Brown and an Albino Skunk Fest memory which parallels one of The Godfather of Soul's signature parts of his shows. There is a lot more, including live music from Shinyribs' performance from that night, all simply waiting for you to press play.

Eavesdroppers! It's a supernatural week! But before we investigate the ins and outs behind the world's most mysterious UFO picture, hosts Geordie & Michelle talk random real-life stuff… Like, did you know a crucifix has been spotted on the surface of Mars? Was Jesus an alien? And why are the pair talking about 80s Japanese series Monkey? Why did Jen have a grey wig? And what's all this about notorious lag Charles Bronson getting out of prison? Listen to find out!Michelle then digs deep into a UFO mystery, known as the Calvine Photo… On August 4th 1990 in the Scottish highlands, two men out walking on the moors spotted a giant diamond-shaped UFO suspended in the sky. They also managed to take 6 photos of the UFO with a Harrier jet in the background, however, when they went to the media with their story and images, the story was quashed and the Ministry of Defence took the pics and negatives and the incident was buried. From spy planes to aliens, there have been theories about the Calvine photo for more than 30 years, but when a journalist uncovered one of the images in 2022, the internet went wild. Is it an alien craft? Is it a secret US spy plane called Aurora? What happened to the pair who took the photos? Who is Kevin Russell? Is BAE Systems involved? You need to listen to find out! All this and more on Eavesdroppin'!We hope you enjoy this week's episode and remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!*Disclaimer: We don't claim to have any factual info about anything ever and our opinions are just opinions not fact, soooooorrrrrryyyyyyyy! We begin today, by simply asking: What label have you attached to yourself lately? In our modern search for meaning. One's essential task often becomes discovering who and what we are. In answering that often imposing question- WHY am I here and what is my meaning. My purpose- The search for clarity. Labels are what you call yourself in your head. They are tags that you attach to yourself to describe the person you think you are. And quite often, they are the outside views we can often feel others are thrusting upon us, in simply adopting and adapting to the various labels we each chose to identify with. Our guest today, Kevin Russell, is going to help us peel back the layers often buried behind these labels- allowing us to connect and integrate with that light inside each of us. Kevin returns to the show and we pick up right where we left off. From parents to romantic relationships to bosses to astrologers to politicians to Joseph Smith, Kevin and I have been influenced by quite a number of narcissists. We break down and define what narcissism is, unpack dark triad personalities, discuss how Western culture hijacks our desire to live and think communally, why we are so attracted to gurus and those with god complexes (+ why it's so hard to get away from them), and how we can develop the self-trust and critical discernment necessary to avoid being manipulated by those who don't have our best interests at heart.
