The new Horror of the Fall Season isn't done yet and even though this one might not be one you REALLY care about, we still gotta get thru it! | The Strangers Chapter 2| After learning that one of their victims, Maya, is still alive, three masked maniacs return to finish the job. With nowhere to run and no one to trust, Maya soon finds herself in a brutal fight for survival against psychopaths who are more than willing to kill anyone who stands in their way.

This one went under the radar for me and I stumbled upon it when searching for something scary to watch last week, well joke's on me because this is some good Christmas Horror that you need to catch | Vicious | Polly receives a mysterious box that comes with instructions to place three things inside: something you need, something you hate, and something you love. What begins as a strange ritual quickly unravels into a waking nightmare as she becomes trapped in a terrifying world where reality bends and memory betrays. As time slips away, she must confront the darkness not just around her, but within her, before it consumes everything and everyone she's ever known.

I got a chance to check out an early screening of Black Phone 2 thanks to my friends at Nerds That Geek and I've got all the details here for you! | Black Phone 2 | Bad dreams haunt 15-year-old Gwen as she receives calls from the black phone and sees disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp. Accompanied by her brother, Finn, they head to the camp to solve the mystery, only to confront the Grabber -- a killer who's grown even more powerful in death.

I'm still working my way thru some new movies coming out right now and I was finally able to catch a screening of the Dog POV film, Good Boy | Good Boy | A man moves into a new home that has supernatural forces lurking in the shadows. As dark entities start to threaten him, his brave dog comes to the rescue.

Per Halloween tradition since I was a kid, I've always had to put on my favorite of the Ernest films, Ernest Scared Stupid. While this maybe family orientated humor, there's still a lot to enjoy as an adult | Ernest Scared Stupid | Ernest P. Worrell (Jim Varney) is working as a garbage collector in a small Missouri town. Despite the warnings of superstitious local Old Lady Hackmore (Eartha Kitt), he accidentally unleashes devious troll Trantor (Jonas Moscartolo), a slimy creature confined under a tree for 200 years. Trantor changes some kids into wooden dolls and turns Ernest's dog, Rimshot, into a log. Ernest then teams up with Old Lady Hackmore to get rid of the beast and bring the victims back to life.

Another year, another new V/H/S installment on Shudder, ever since the franchise transitioned over to the Shudder streaming service there's been a better focus and great synergy in every entry. Did V/H/S/Halloween somehow end up being the best after 12/13 years? | V/H/S/Halloween | A collection of Halloween-themed videotapes unleashes a series of twisted, blood-soaked tales, turning trick-or-treat into a struggle for survival.

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers recently celebrated it's 30th anniversary and as the 1st Halloween film that I ever saw, I figured this was a great opprotunity to finally review this movie. | Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers | This installment marks the return of the seemingly indestructible masked murderer Michael Myers (George P. Wilbur), who is targeting Tommy Doyle (Paul Stephen Rudd), a young man tied into the legacy of the killer and his connections with the Strode family. As the supernatural elements of Michael's macabre abilities are explored, his longtime adversary, Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence), is also back in yet another attempt to stop the psychopath's brutal rampages.

Marvel has skirted around doing Horror for years now and after what was thought to be a one-off in their Disney Plus show, What If, Marvel has firmly embraced horror in their new mini series, Marvel Zombies! | Marvel Zombies | A zombie virus overtakes the MCU's Avengers, leading to a dystopian world overrun by super-powered undead. A small group of survivors, including Ms. Marvel, Ironheart, and Shang-Chi, embark on a perilous journey to find a cure and stop the plague, facing off against both hordes of zombies and powerful, undead figures like the Queen of the Dead, Wanda Maximoff.

Fall is right around the corner and we're starting to see the debut of some new horror that will hopefully get us set for the season, let's start by talking about one that you can check out on Shudder right now! | Night of the Reaper | College student Deena visits home and is roped into babysitting. The local sheriff is mailed a piece of evidence and is led on a scavenger hunt to reveal the killer of another babysitter.

After making $351 Million at the box office back in 2024, many expected that writer/director Fede Alvarez would return to the chair again for the upcoming "Alien Romulus 2" but shockingly he announced he wouldn't take the reigns and there's been some interesting developments as to who just might take over

Thanks to my friends at Nerds That Geek I was able to catch an early screening of "Him"! While the film isn't scoring great reviews right now, I'm gonna explain just why I think it deserves the high rating I gave it! | HIM | Cameron Cade is a rising quarterback who suffers a potentially career-ending injury after being attacked by an unhinged fan. Just when all seems lost, Cam receives a lifeline when his hero, Isaiah White, offers to train him at an isolated compound. However, as the training accelerates, Isaiah's charisma turns into something darker, sending Cam down a disorienting rabbit hole that may cost him more than he ever bargained for.

Recently one of the best Vampire films of all time, Fright Night, celebrated it's 40th anniversary! And with writer/director Tom Holland still currently working on further works in the franchise in book form, it seemed like a great opportunity to talk about one of my favorite horror movies ever! | Fright Night | Teenage Charley Brewster is a horror-film junkie, so it's no surprise that when a reclusive new neighbor moves next-door, Brewster becomes convinced he's a vampire. It's also no surprise when nobody believes him. After strange events begin to occur, Charlie has no choice but to turn to the only person who could possibly help: washed-up television vampire killer Peter Vincent.

Dexter is back and already on the run! America's favorite serial killer returns yet again after surviving death and is on the hunt for his son while old friends return to become enemies! | "Touched By An Angel" the climax sees Leon Prater setting up Dexter to kill his former friend, Angel Batista. However, Dexter refuses, freeing a restrained Batista who then dies from shots fired by Prater. The episode also features Dexter's confrontation with Charley, where he learns Prater is exploiting her for his own gain after she became a decorated soldier, and she agrees to leave Harrison alone. Dexter also reveals his true nature to Harrison and confesses his role in the death of the Gemini Killer. | "And Justice For All" | Dexter is trapped in Leon Prater's vault, Angel Batista is dead, and Harrison must confront his father's legacy. The New York Ripper case is also resolved with the discovery of the killer's identity, Don Framt, as a lingering mystery for Detective Claudette Wallace.

The Alien franchise is certainly alive and kicking and testing out a new space on the small screen with a television show set 2 years before the original film. Tonight after a bit of a break, I'm back looking at episodes 2 & 3! | "Mr October" Tensions build between corporations and the Prodigy company as a crashed spaceship is investigated by a Prodigy medic, Joe D. Hermit, and soldiers. After discovering bodies infected by an alien entity, they encounter a Xenomorph, which separates Hermit and forces him into a perilous chase. Meanwhile, Prodigy's CEO discusses the goal of creating a rival to artificial intelligence with the new Hybrids, and Wendy, a Hybrid, seeks her lost brother, only to have a secret revealed that confirms her identity to a shocked Hermit. | "Metamorphosis" Wendy rescues her brother Joe from a Xenomorph, who then decapitates the creature, while the rest of the Lost Boys and their overseer, Kirsh, retrieve valuable alien specimens from the crashed Maginot vessel. Meanwhile, a conflict brews between different factions, including Boy Kavalier and the Weyland-Yutani company, for control of the recovered aliens and their research, hinting at a future struggle for power.

While the entire franchise as a while has been very much hit or miss, you've typically been able to rely on the consistency of "The Conjuring" movies...at least until the 3rd one. With this next entry set to be the last for stars Patrick Wilson & Vera Farmiga can it exorcise those demons one last time?

Back in August for my Tales From the Crypt Double Featured I took a look at one of the first episodes I saw all the way back in the early 90s, House of Horrors, an all star episode featuring Jason London, Will Wheaton, Kevin Dillon, Meredith Salenger, Brian Krause, Courtney Gains, and Keith Coogan! | Keith was kind enough to sit down with me to discuss his 50+ years in Hollywood working on projects like Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, The Fox & The Hound, and more. The students, along with their professor and the local sheriff, must race to identify the murderer and survive the escalating attacks that claim victims one by one.

This past weekend was FrightFest 2025 and I got a chance to check out a film that feeds into the legends of cryptid horror! | Pig Hill | The story follows Carrie (Rainey Qualley), who investigates the disappearances of local women and uncovers a terrifying truth connecting to the myth. Joined by her friend Andy (Shane West) and brother Chris (Shiloh Fernandez), Carrie's investigation becomes a desperate fight for survival against the true horrors behind the legend.

This past weekend was ScareFest 2025 and I got a chance to check out a film that combines elements from some horror heavyweights including Saw, Would You Rather, Mr Crocket, and more starring Jackie Earle Haley. | Your Host | Four friends get trapped in a sadistic game show, forced to outwit a twisted serial killer while racing against time. Every move brings them closer to freedom or a gruesome fate.

Borderline hits the digital market in the UK on September 8th, but if you want the scoop on everything you need to know beforehand then you've gotta check out my review of a stalker taking things too far | Borderline | A helplessly romantic sociopath escapes from a mental institution and invades the home of a '90s pop superstar. He just wants to be loved; she just wants to survive.

With my Birthday passing by recently I figured that it was time to take a look at a couple more of my favorite movies, so we're starting with a movie that at one point was the undisputed best Vampire film out there for me! | The Lost Boys | Teenage brothers Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim) move with their mother (Dianne Wiest) to a small town in northern California. While the younger Sam meets a pair of kindred spirits in geeky comic-book nerds Edward (Corey Feldman) and Alan (Jamison Newlander), the angst-ridden Michael soon falls for Star (Jami Gertz) -- who turns out to be in thrall to David (Kiefer Sutherland), leader of a local gang of vampires. Sam and his new friends must save Michael and Star from the undead.

This is our 7th Double Feature of the year and with it being my Birthday month, we're taking a look at a couple of my favorite episodes! | Death of Some Salesmen | To say that the seemingly quaint Bracket family are a bit odd would be something of an understatement. To say that they never ignore a bargain would be another one. And no-one learns this more than Judd Campbell. A conniving con-man who comes knocking at their door posing as a salesman. But little does Judd realize is that's he's not the first unsuspecting salesman to have come a calling. A fact that he discovers to his horror and the Bracket's revel in with malevolent joy. | House of Horror | Three pledges for a fraternity on probation run by a soft-spoken leader and his two sidekicks are visited by a beautiful young sorority gal, who is looking for a frat to pledge her own sorority ends up tagging along with the pledges to an abandoned house where an “urban legend” murder took place...

As much as I can't do Body Horror, there's been nonstop hype surrounding Michael Shanks' latest film Together and it seemed to be something that was not gonna be able to be missed, so, here we go! | Together | Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie find themselves at a crossroads when they move to the countryside, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.

Weeks on after the release, it's time to have a spoiler heavy conversation about the Killer's Identity, the Mid Credit Scene, and thoughts on a sequel!

An alien organism is taking over the world, and the only person that can stop it is the...science teacher? | Ick | Science teacher Hank's life changes when he reconnects with his first love and suspects a new student is his daughter, all while facing an alien threat in their town.

Summer isn't over yet and so I'm headed back to camp once more to take a look at a recent "slasher" that looks to actually be the best out of a string of clunkers over the last few years | Marshmallow | A 12-year-old boy starts to see a shadowy figure in the woods after hearing a spooky story at summer camp.

Another year, another exorcism movie, it seems like this is the genre that just has such a tough time putting together an entertaining film, but maybe with heavyweights like Al Pacino and Dan Stevens, it'll be different! | The Ritual | Two priests -- one questioning his faith and one reckoning with a troubled past -- must put aside their differences to perform a difficult and dangerous exorcism on a possessed woman.

Camera Shy Dexter tracks Harrison to New York City, where he finds his son working as a bellhop after Harrison killed someone. Dexter also investigates a serial killer who targets rideshare drivers, while also keeping tabs on Harrison. The episode introduces a new serial killer using the alias "Dark Passenger" and wearing a "Camera Shy" hoodie designed to obscure their identity from cameras. Dexter also finds himself entangled with Blessing, a chatty Uber driver, and his friend who survived an encounter with the killer.

Recently got the chance to sit down with Sam Laskey, the writer of the upcoming Sci-Fi/Horror Film "Ick" that hits theaters 7/27. San Diego Comic Con 2024 revealed that not only would Michael C Hall be returning to the role of America's favorite fictional serial killer as the inner voice and narrator of the prequel series, Dexter Original Sin, but that he would be starring in the next Dexter follow-up, Dexter Resurrection! | With Resurrection set to hit TVs 7/11, I'm gonna break down the 5 things we need to see for season 1 of this new show to be a success!

Going back to the argument of whether Jurassic Park is horror or not, I'm settling that firmly by taking a look at the latest addition to the long running Dinosaurs eating human franchise! With only a few projects under his belt, Mason Thames has certainly been setting a great path for himself in Hollywood, but can he keep that streak going with a new horror film that centers around a witch abducting children? | Monster Summer | A mysterious force disrupts Noah and his friends' summer fun. It's been 3 years since Blumhouse rolled out the newest pop culture sensation, the Evil AI M3GAN. And THREE YEARS LATER, we're finally getting a proper follow-up with M3GAN 2.0. But can the change from Horror to Sci-Fi keep everyone interested? | M3GAN 2.0 | Two years after M3GAN, a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous rampage, its creator, Gemma, has become an advocate for government oversight of AI. Recently I had a chance to catch the world premiere of the first ever Horror Trivia Game Show, Better Luck Than Chuck, the show is everything a rabid horror fan could want when it comes to showing off their knowledge! | In Part 2 we get more specifically into the shows that played in the inspiration, what they were looking for in contestants, and give them some morbid scenarios to put themselves in to make the project of their dreams!
