Redaktion: Filipp Piatov, Lieven Jenrich u. Josef Schachter believes that current prices in the energy sector are presenting a massive opportunity for contrarians who can see the writing on the wall: oil and gas demand are rising, not falling, and supply is become severely constrained, leading to setup that Josef thinks will ultimately bring us back past $100, and to new all-time highs.Get Your 'Stack Silver Not Fiat' Shirt: https://commodity-culture-shop.fourthwall.com/products/stack-silver-not-fiat-t-shirtGet $100 off the first year of the Schachter Energy Report, using code POD100: https://schachterenergyreport.ca/subscriptionsFollow Jesse Day on X: https://x.com/jessebdayCommodity Culture on Youtube: https://youtube.com/c/CommodityCulture

On today's episode we have a wide reaching, in depth and fascinating discussion on Chinese Marxism. We examine Marxism's historical emergence in China and it's adaptation to Chinese conditions - both as an idea guiding the Communist Party of China that culminated in the 1949 Chinese revolution as well as post-1949 state craft and socialist development in China. We also pay special attention to the influences of the Russian Revolution and Soviet Union on Chinese Marxism and socialism, as well as the critical differences and tensions between them from the 1920s, through Soviet collapse in 1991, to how the Soviet experience is understood in China today. Our guest is Professor of Politics and International Relations at East China Normal University Dr. Josef Gregory Mahoney. Dr. Mahoney also serves as a Concurrent Professor of Marxism and Senior Research Fellow with Jiangsu's top think tank—the Institute for the Development of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics —based at Southeast University in Nanjing. He teaches seminars on Marxism at ECNU, and his research methods emphasize dialectical and historical materialism, including his recent work on China's rise as an advanced technological society undergoing rapid green transformations. He holds a Ph.D., M.Phil., and B.A. from George Washington University; as well as an M.PA. and M.S.P.H. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to his doctoral studies he was a public health officer with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC/ATSDR).
Two veteran newsletter editors map out where the next big moves, and best entry points, could emerge across metals and energy in 2026. Gold and silver may be digesting a sharp correction, but both guests argue the bigger bull-market backdrop is intact, setting up a very “stock-picker” tape in mining. Meanwhile, energy remains out of favor, yet Josef Schachter lays out a tightening supply/demand case (and a clear playbook for scaling in before the next macro-driven run). Segment 1 & 2 - Brien Lundin, editor of the Gold Newsletter and host of the New Orleans Investment Conference, shares his insights on the current state of the precious metals market. He discusses the potential for continued sideways trading in gold and silver before the next rally, while highlighting opportunities in exploration and development-stage companies like K2 Gold, Aris Minerals, and Banyan Gold. Brien also emphasizes the importance of individual company stories and the excitement of potential new discoveries across various global jurisdictions. Click here to learn more about the Gold Newsletter. - https://goldnewsletter.com/ Segment 3 & 4 - Josef Schachter, founder and editor of the Schachter Energy Report and author of the Eye on Energy report, discusses the macroeconomic drivers and company-specific trends within the oil and natural gas sectors. He reviews the 2026 World Outlook Conference, providing insights into OPEC+ production constraints, the impacts of global depletion rates, and the emerging energy demands driven by the "AI revolution". Schachter also highlights specific investment opportunities in companies such as InPlay Oil and Birchcliff Energy while outlining his expectations for a multi-decade commodity supercycle. In this conversation, Josef Schachter discusses the current state of the oil market, emphasizing the ongoing energy super cycle and the challenges faced by both US and Canadian oil production. He highlights the limitations of OPEC in increasing production and the implications for global oil prices. Schachter also addresses the infrastructure challenges in Canada, the importance of refining margins, and the potential for investment in the sector as foreign companies return. The discussion concludes with an overview of the risks to the bullish outlook for oil prices and the future of the energy sector.

Today we're joined by Sateesh Nori. Sateesh is the chief legal futurist at LawDroid and a senior research fellow at NYU School of Law. His work sits at the crossroads of justice, technology, and public service. Before moving into legal innovation, he spent years serving New Yorkers as a housing rights attorney and later as a managing attorney at both The Legal Aid Society and Legal Services of New York City. Now, at LawDroid, Sateesh is focused on making sure legal technology isn't just cutting edge, but also credible, ethical, and grounded in real-world needs, especially the urgent need to expand access to justice. Last year, he partnered with Housing Court Answers and the legal tech company Josef to launch Roxanne the Repair Bot, an AI-powered assistant designed to help New York tenants understand and assert their rights when dealing with unsafe or substandard housing conditions. He is also the author of Sheltered: Twenty Years in Housing Court, which is a powerful look at the systemic challenges facing tenants, as well as the lawyers who work to serve them. In this episode, Sateesh shares how LawDroid's tools are helping tenants navigate complex legal processes, why trust is so essential in the future of AI and law, how law schools can better prepare lawyers for a tech-enabled profession, and what he is exploring through his research fellowship at NYU.
Chain of Learning: Empowering Continuous Improvement Change Leaders
What if the reason your learning feels productive—but your impact feels stuck—has nothing to do with effort? Many change leaders and improvement practitioners are excellent learners. You're likely a Learning Enthusiast—like me. You read the books, attend the workshops, listen to podcasts, and gather ideas with genuine enthusiasm. And yet, despite all that effort, learning doesn't always turn into impact. In fact, it can sometimes lead to overwhelm or paralysis—more ideas, more options, and less clarity about what to actually do.I've lived this pattern myself, and I see it again and again in my work with leaders around the world. When learning becomes something we collect rather than something we practice—and bring to fruition through our habits—it stalls our impact. The challenge isn't gaining more knowledge. It's learning how to turn insight into behavior—and connect behavior to results. In this episode, I explore a critical shift: moving from the Chain of Learning® to a Chain of Impact.Instead of treating continuous learning as something to acquire, I invite you to see learning as something to harvest—by making the value chain of impact explicit: turning insight into specific behaviors, practicing them deliberately through doing and reflection, and connecting that practice to the impact it creates for people and results. If you care deeply about learning, growth, and people—and want to build the capability to translate learning into action and impact—this episode will help you do exactly that.YOU'LL LEARNHow to recognize when learning feels productive but isn't changing how you actually show up as a leaderHow to make the connection between learning, behavior, and impact visible—and actionableWhy behaviors—not intentions, traits, or inspiration—are the real bridge between learning and resultsHow treating leadership actions as experiments helps you learn by doing and reflection, not just aiming for a targetWhy harvesting learning means finishing what's ready—not endlessly adding more ideas or initiativesIMPORTANT LINKS:Full episode show notes with links to other podcast episodes and resources: ChainOfLearning.com/65 Check out my website for resources and ways to work with me KBJAnderson.comDownload my free KATALYST™ Change Leader Self-Assessment: KBJAnderson.com/katalyst Learn more about my Japan Leadership Experience: kbjanderson.com/japantripTIMESTAMPS FOR THIS EPISODE:00:59 Why doing more is not mean progress02:13 The invisible trap of when we are focused on learning vs. putting it into practice02:27 Harvest - what it means and why it's a fitting word for 2026 05:04 The difference between learning and behavior in creating impact05:25 How to apply Intention = Heart + Direction® to close the execution gap07:40 Four key practices to take action on learning to impact your work and life 07:48 [ONE] Make the learning itself concrete and specific09:00 [TWO] Focus on specific observable behaviors, not traits that we want to develop10:48 [THREE] Identify the gap you want to close and identify what you expect to happen and the impact when you put the learning into practice11:42 [FOUR] Reflect and adjust for accelerated improvement12:49 Where intention stems from and why intention plus direction is important to see results13:54 How leaders turn into impact through the Immersive Japan Leadership Experience14:52 Three open ended questions for leaders to reflect on to create a clear action plan17:07 Josef's experience in shifting from being seen as an expert to a trusted partner18:06 Questions to ask to help break the telling habit21:12 How the meaning of “harvest” is focused on collaboration and creating the space for others to grow22:40 Reflection questions to reflect on to make an impact through your behaviorP.S. Food and beverage does more than fill seats — it creates memories, reasons to return, and stories guests take home. That's the focus of this episode of #NoVacancyNews, filmed across Resorts World Las Vegas. I'm joined by Josef Wagner, Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage at Resorts World Las Vegas, for a walk-and-talk look at how a modern integrated resort uses F&B to drive engagement beyond gaming. Josef shares how Resorts World approaches pop-ups, immersive lounges, celebrity chef partnerships, and venue flexibility — all with the goal of giving guests something new to experience every visit. From rooftop mixology activations to food hall experimentation and live entertainment integration, this conversation shows how F&B becomes a strategic growth engine, not just an amenity. What stood out to me is how intentionally the team tests ideas before locking them in. Pop-ups act as real-time focus groups, allowing the guest — not a spreadsheet — to decide what stays. We cover:

Nezařaditelný, svébytný, pracovitý, umíněný a nadaný.
Don't usually need a trigger warning on these, but the first 10ish minutes is a conversation about how big a body of water would have to be for you to get in it if there was a dead body in it. No, we don't know why we talked about that either. After that, we talk about NASCAR changing up its controversial Playoff format, James' IMSA prep for Daytona, Josef's commercial, and more.+++Off Track is part of the SiriusXM Sports Podcast Network. Dave Rubin of "The Rubin Report" talks to Dr. Josef Witt-Doerring about the worsening mental health crisis in America; why depression and suicide rates are rising despite record levels of psychiatric drug use; how the pharmaceutical industry is rushing psychiatry appointments, and creating an overreliance on medications; why many patients are misdiagnosed while lifestyle factors like diet, exercise, and substance use are ignored; his concerns about long-term effects and the surge in antidepressants and ADHD drugs prescribed to children; why non-drug, holistic approaches to mental health care need to be prioritized; the worsening mental health crisis in America; why depression and suicide rates are rising despite record levels of psychiatric drug use; how the pharmaceutical industry is rushing psychiatry appointments, and creating an overreliance on medications; why many patients are misdiagnosed while lifestyle factors like diet, exercise, and substance use are ignored; his concerns about long-term effects and the surge in antidepressants and ADHD drugs prescribed to children; why non-drug, holistic approaches to mental health care need to be prioritized; how modern culture and social media have trained people to chase happiness instead of meaning; how normal life struggles are increasingly medicalized as mental illness; why psychiatric drugs can offer short-term relief but don't fix root causes and often worsen outcomes long-term; the dangers of benzodiazepines like Xanax and Ambien; the dangers of "natural" supplements like ashwagandha that act as neurological drugs with risks of dependence; and much more.
