# 35 Mehr Demokratie in Gemeinschaft üben mit Josef MerkWege aus der unvollendeten DemokratieUnsere Demokratie ist „unvollendet“, sagt Josef Merk. Gemeinsam mit Ina Froitzheim (Gemeinschaft ZEGG) und Simone Britsch (Ökodorf Sieben Linden) haben wir beim Netzwerktreffen des Global Ecovillage Network im Sommer mit Dr. Josef Merk gesprochen. Was genau ist unvollendet – und was würde eine „vollständigere“ Demokratie auszeichnen? Josef brennt als Psychologe besonders für die zwischenmenschliche Ebene, die in alle Demokratie-Prozesse oft subtil hineinspielt. Die demokratische Kultur hat hier noch Luft nach oben: Vertrauen, die Beziehungsebene und eine Diskussionshaltung, die kontroverse Meinungen respektvoll nebeneinander stellt. Ein gemeinsames Interesse in einem emotional bereinigten Raum sollte den Boden der Debatte bilden. Die Vielfalt wird dann idealerweise begrüßt und nicht unterdrückt. Josef spricht von Demokratie auch als inneren Zustand, den man buchstäblich körperlich fühlen kann. Meinungsfreiheit, Rechtsstaatlichkeit, Partizipationsmöglichkeiten erzeugen in uns einen positiven, demokratischen Zustand. Demokratische Prozesse könnten dann Freude machen und uns beflügeln. Gemeinschaften haben in ihrer Entscheidungskultur bereits Methoden und Entscheidungsverfahren entwickelt, die dazu beitragen, dass die Beziehungsebene berücksichtigt wird. „Zuhören“ – so simpel es klingt – ist ein Aspekt, den Josef als essentiell herausstellt. Zuhören ist ein wichtiges Element in vielen Formaten, die in Ökodörfern praktiziert werde. Vielleicht sollten wir unsere demokratischen Praktiken bewusster feiern und unsere Tools mehr nach außen tragen, in Regionen, gesellschaftliche Initiativen und Gemeinderäte? More than 11 percent of Americans take antidepressants, including rising numbers of kids and adolescents and even pregnant women.The majority of Americans believe that depression is linked to a chemical imbalance in the brain, and that drugs can fix this imbalance—just as someone with Type 1 diabetes might take insulin. Together, they reflect on how this experience produced a new body of work and the opportunity to explore the foundations archives. During her residency at the Albers Foundation, Cawthorn immersed herself in collage of birds and particularly focussed on the work of Anni Albers. Sharp engaged directly with the legacy of Josef Albers, exploring how colour, geometry and perception can reveal new ways of seeing the landscape by painting on Albers book on colour, reinterpreting the pages for himself. Michelle Cawthorn – BioMichelle Cawthorn is a Sydney-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice is rooted in drawing and extends across collage, painting, sculpture and installation. Her work explores memory, identity and belonging through an autobiographical lens, often using repetition, pattern and sensory triggers to evoke fragments of experience.Cawthorn holds undergraduate degrees in Fine Art and Art Education from the University of New South Wales, and completed a PhD in Fine Arts in 2021. She has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in over sixty group shows across Australia. Her work is represented by OLSEN Gallery, Sydney.Peter Sharp – BioPeter Sharp is an Australian artist whose practice has, for more than three decades, investigated how the natural world can be understood through abstraction. Working across drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture, Sharp captures the structural and rhythmic essence of nature rather than its surface appearance.He holds a Bachelor of Art Education from the City Art Institute (now UNSW Art & Design) and a Master of Fine Arts from UNSW. Už o pár dní sa predstaví slovenským divákom ako slovenský športovec 20. storočia - krasokorčuliar Ondrej Nepela. Český herec Josef Trojan niekdajšieho olympionika zo ZOH v Sapore pred nakrúcaním nepoznal. "Je to vlastne smutné a poukazuje, že jeho odkaz bol vo vtedajšom komunistickom Československu, po jeho odchode do západného Nemecka, takmer úplne potlačený a odsunutý na vedľajšiu koľaj. Veľmi málo sa o ňom potom písalo. Jeho hviezda teda nepokračovala v žiarení, skôr zhasínala. Aj to je dôležitý dôvod, prečo točiť filmy o podobných osudoch a pripomínať si ich," uviedol v relácii Ide o nás potomok zo slávnej hereckej rodiny. Pre úlohu Nepelu sa Josef Trojan snažil vycibriť si slovenčinu a, samozrejme, nechýbali ani tréningy na ľade. Najradšej vraj rozpráva príhodu, že keď sa na ľade ocitol so svojím dablérom - slovenským krasokorčuliarom Adamom Hagarom - štáb si pri nakrúcaní scén mýlil.
