Today we're joined by Sateesh Nori. Sateesh is the chief legal futurist at LawDroid and a senior research fellow at NYU School of Law. His work sits at the crossroads of justice, technology, and public service. Before moving into legal innovation, he spent years serving New Yorkers as a housing rights attorney and later as a managing attorney at both The Legal Aid Society and Legal Services of New York City. Now, at LawDroid, Sateesh is focused on making sure legal technology isn't just cutting edge, but also credible, ethical, and grounded in real-world needs, especially the urgent need to expand access to justice. Last year, he partnered with Housing Court Answers and the legal tech company Josef to launch Roxanne the Repair Bot, an AI-powered assistant designed to help New York tenants understand and assert their rights when dealing with unsafe or substandard housing conditions. He is also the author of Sheltered: Twenty Years in Housing Court, which is a powerful look at the systemic challenges facing tenants, as well as the lawyers who work to serve them. In this episode, Sateesh shares how LawDroid's tools are helping tenants navigate complex legal processes, why trust is so essential in the future of AI and law, how law schools can better prepare lawyers for a tech-enabled profession, and what he is exploring through his research fellowship at NYU. Hon blir slagen och hotad.Flera fall av andeutdrivning i SverigeChance blir tvångsomhändertagen för att inte fara illa och hamnar till slut i ett familjehem där hon känner sig trygg. Men hon är inte ensam om att bli anklagad för häxeri. När hon efter flera år gör en polisanmälan får utredaren Michaela Larsson strax in ett snarlikt fall där bakgrund och motiv är desamma. Marion Heider erklärt, warum die Erzählung aus der Bibel so deutlich zeigt, wie jüdisch geprägt das Leben Jesu war.Zu Beginn des Gespräches erzählt sie von ihrem Beruf als Pastoralreferentin: Sie begleitet junge Studierende an der Uni Bonn dabei, ihren Platz im Leben und ihren Weg mit Gott zu finden. Danach geht es um den Text aus dem Lukasevangelium zum Fest "Darstellung des Herrn": Maria und Josef bringen Jesus als Kind in den Tempel. Dort erkennen die alten, gläubigen Menschen Simeon und Hanna in ihm den ersehnten Retter. Dieser Mann war gerecht und fromm und wartete auf den Trost Israels und der Heilige Geist ruhte auf ihm. Vom Heiligen Geist war ihm offenbart worden, er werde den Tod nicht schauen, ehe er den Christus des Herrn gesehen habe. Er wurde vom Geist in den Tempel geführt; und als die Eltern das Kind Jesus hereinbrachten, um mit ihm zu tun, was nach dem Gesetz üblich war, nahm Símeon das Kind in seine Arme und pries Gott mit den Worten: Nun lässt du, Herr, deinen Knecht, wie du gesagt hast, in Frieden scheiden. Denn meine Augen haben das Heil gesehen, das du vor allen Völkern bereitet hast, ein Licht, das die Heiden erleuchtet, und Herrlichkeit für dein Volk Israel. Sein Vater und seine Mutter staunten über die Worte, die über Jesus gesagt wurden. Und Símeon segnete sie und sagte zu Maria, der Mutter Jesu: Siehe, dieser ist dazu bestimmt, dass in Israel viele zu Fall kommen und aufgerichtet werden, und er wird ein Zeichen sein, dem widersprochen wird, – und deine Seele wird ein Schwert durchdringen. So sollen die Gedanken vieler Herzen offenbar werden. Damals lebte auch Hanna, eine Prophetin, eine Tochter Pénuëls, aus dem Stamm Ascher. Sie war schon hochbetagt. Als junges Mädchen hatte sie geheiratet und sieben Jahre mit ihrem Mann gelebt; nun war sie eine Witwe von vierundachtzig Jahren. Sie hielt sich ständig im Tempel auf und diente Gott Tag und Nacht mit Fasten und Beten. Zu derselben Stunde trat sie hinzu, pries Gott und sprach über das Kind zu allen, die auf die Erlösung Jerusalems warteten. Als seine Eltern alles getan hatten, was das Gesetz des Herrn vorschreibt, kehrten sie nach Galiläa in ihre Stadt Nazaret zurück. Das Kind wuchs heran und wurde stark, erfüllt mit Weisheit, und Gottes Gnade ruhte auf ihm. Josef is a frequent guest on Michael Campbell's Podcast ‘Mikes Money Talks' and other podcast and radio shows and is often quoted in the media. He is a regular Guest Speaker at the annual World Outlook Financial Conference in Vancouver and he delivers presentations to various companies and organizations. For several years, he was a frequent and notably colourful commentator on BNN Bloomberg's Market Call. Josef provided Oil and Gas research to Maison Placements Canada geared to their institutional clients for 15 years ending April 2017, and was acknowledged as the first analyst in Canada to predict the Oil Price Plunge of 2014. Prior to establishing his firm Schachter Asset Management Inc. in 1996, Josef was the Chief Market Strategist at Richardson Greenshields, a Director of RGCL and a member of its Investment Policy Committee. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a past Chairman of the Canadian Council of Financial Analysts.
