All parents know the struggle of getting their kids to school – especially preteen to teenage boys. The hardest part should be getting your child to school on time and making sure their grades are passing. It should not be when you catch the teacher grooming your 13-year-old child & eventually moving past that to sexual abuse. Unfortunately, the parents of one boy found evidence when trying to figure out the change in their son's behavior, this is what they found. …..all I can say is Lisa named the episode people! Ottis Toole had a traumatic childhood, as so many before him, however instead of taking authority over his life and future – he decided to fall in to a drifters life, leaving a path of destruction through the United States. After being caught, he admitted to multiple murders, his involvement could be proven in some & others were left for speculation. In this episode Faith is telling a story that is upsetting, shameful and will stay with you long after you hear of it. Joe Arridy had multiple factors against him - he was an immigrant, mental disabled, misunderstood and had no one to stand up for him. He lived a life dictated by the state in one way or another, and the end results will leave you questioning why certain people are left in charge. In this episode, Lisa is telling us the story from a different perspective. When looking at death row inmates, we can usually see the pain from the past, using it as the “why” for the crimes they committed. However, looking at the case of Aaron Foust, through the eyes of a grieving father who did his best, it leaves us with the bigger question of why did he do it, and could anything have stopped it the collision course this man was on, leading him to death row.Episode: Evil Lives Here “I Raised a Sociopath” Season 7, Episode 2I hope you enjoyed our banter and arguing, and of course or opinions – but please let us know what you think twistedtalestruecrime@gmail.comAlso, come visit our socials for photos and extras, amazing memes and people.Facebook – TwistedTales True CrimeInstagram – TwistedTales_Pod
In this story, Faith is telling us the story filled with red flags on how a relationship can turn against you, without any warning or logic. In this episode we are taking a break from our normal crime episode, looking at one murderer and instead looking at our current world, the wars that are raging and how true crime lovers fit in. How far would you go, what would you sacrifice to do the right thing? How far would you go to help children being victimized by someone? In this episode, Lisa is telling us of the a real life hero – Rochelle Herman, and how far she went to build a case against and expose a child predator. Rochelle was not a law enforcement officer or a government official, but a regular person who put aside her life in helping those who could not help themselves. Yet – her name is unknown. We all know of Jared Fogle – but what about the woman who sacrificed years of her life, so we would know the truth? Listener Discretion Advised - Please see Trigger Warnings below. This episode Faith is telling us of the absolute hell two young girls, Alecia & Monica, find themselves on the way to living their dreams. It is a brutal destruction of lives but so important to remember the victim, not only what they live through, but our treatment of them afterwards. Please remember as hard as it is to listen to the details in this episode, it is harder to live through them. Child abuse and trafficking are a VERY REAL problem in our world, and until we rise up and shine light on these issues, they will continue. Monsters are VERY real – while they might not be under your bed they very well could be behind you in line at the grocery store, live next door to you or couch your child's little league team. Protect your children and learn ways to help, even if it is with kindness and support to the victims who live.TRIGGER WARNINGS – mental, psychological and sexual abuse against minors.Hope you all have a great week, for photos & additional information, please come visit our socialsFacebook – TwistedTales True CrimeInstagram - TwistedTales_PodAlso, we love when you send us emails, twistedtalestruecrime@gmail.com

This episode Lisa will be telling us about the amazing, real life Scooby Squad member Carisma Carpenter (aka Cordelia) who lived a real life trauma, where she felt stalked, faced down a rapist and ultimately assisted in brining him to justice. Today's story is one that most true crime lovers have heard before - heck I've heard it before 100 times. Never did I know past the coined phrase "by-stander effect" that came from these horrific events. However, after doing a little bit of digging, and hearing others, I cannot believe the full tale is not told more often. So buckle up buttercup, we are in for a ride. This week Faith is going to take us on a journey of a 9-year murder spree that plagued Ohio - but were the victims and killings just in Ohio, or is that all we know about? The name "Dr. No" is a nickname or call tag for a man who hunted and murdered those society did not watch after for 9 years - that we know about. Tonight Lisa is telling us a story that is hard to believe and wrap your brain around. How much does peer pressure affect us? What are we willing to do in order to make others happy? How far is too far, when an authority figure is telling you what to do? These are questions we we look at and discuss as Lisa tells us the story from the docuseries 'Don't Pick Up The Phone' where a hoax caller phones fast food restaurants across the United States, convincing the managers to do unspeakable things - all because he states he is someone in authority. While on the surface she was a woman with a traumatic past and made her money through being a 'teller' for her clients on what their future would hold - however the events of her past, her own future that was told to her and the love she held for her children would turn this woman into a killer....and it will blow your mind. Today's episode is one of the most brutal we have covered, it is uncomfortable to listen to, but the topic is SO important and dear to both Lisa & I. Kelly Ann Bates was a young girl growing up outside Manchester England when she was swept off her feet by her first love. But as secrets and lies come to light, and bruises start to be seen, the story takes a dark and horrific turn when her boyfriend turns himself in for accidentally killing Kelly during 'physical' displays of their love.
