In this episode, we have our boy Josh on and talk about the concept of soulmates. Do they exist? Do we overemphasize their importance in a relationship? Do we self-destruct meaningful relationships in the search of the "perfect" one? One of our best episodes to date.

This episode has a couple lessons about maturity and how one's decisions may bring about drastic consequences in an instant. Its more story than lesson but it we think it makes the point. Enjoy this little bit of behind the scenes where we catch up and talk about things that didn't make it into the main episode.

When we started this years ago we never imagined that society would have so many different opinions on bathroom procedure. Low hanging fruit for our show for sure but still hilarious. Today's hot take: flushing. Discuss along with returning guest and friend Leon.

Taking risks is a part of life, starting a business during a pandemic counts as one for sure. During the second half of our talk with Antonio we got into his experience on starting a company, taking risks, and experiencing Uber from both sides.

We don't usually have a part 3 but this one was key and also did some work to highlight the other segments. So much of what we talk about is a by product of poor or non-existent communication. In this session poor and lack of communication can be seen in part 1 and 2 respectfully. It doesn't matter if its with romantic partners, friends, family or co-workers we could all do better at communicating and more often than not we struggle with the listening more than the talking; lets start changing that.

On this second part of our talk with Melisa we talk about a woman who has reservations about a potential partner paying for sex. What is the current outlook on sex work and sex workers. What underlying concerns if any surround someone who has paid for sex. And what factors can lead to it as well as why sex can often seem so much like the end all be all on a date especially for males. 

Melisa joins us again for a surprisingly deep conversation about dental dams, sex, and society. This honestly started as a joke because Nahum had thought about it before, but then Shaq had some questionable things to admit. We are asking the real, if maybe amateur, questions and laughing while we do it. 

On part 3 of Lauren and Connors episode a wife's husband offered to pay for a lady coach because she has changed during the Covid lockdown. Fundamental problem, sarcastic banter, or mental health concern? Pick your poison among others that we toss out or you may think about and see what the general consensus is. More important than the particular incident listen to how we think this can be avoided and how it can be resolved moving forward.

On part two of Lauren & Connor's episode we talk about couples going on vacation, or failing to anyways. This couple's boyfriend refuses to pay for his partner to come on vacation despite the fact that he "easily" can. That would be one conversation enough but it gets so much worse since the GF is the financially responsible one. 

Its appropriate that we have a couple on for this question! Back for her second episode with us is our friend Lauren and this time she is accompanied by her significant other Connor. Our first question seems pretty bad and straight forward but hear us out. We don't all agree on the verdict and we just might make convince you too.

We are joined by long time friend E.A. for a conversation about failing to start a relationship. Standing up for yourself, being self assured, knowing what you want, and even knowing when to leave are all at play here. You pick which part is most important. In today's topic we see a young man trying everything he can think of to start a serious relationship; maybe its just time to let it go though. 

People never cease to amaze us, particularly with creations we've never even heard of before. In this episode, the second part of our Darius' conversation, we talk about a family hosting an apology dinner for a mother trying to break up her daughter's relationship. You gotta hear this to believe it.

In this episode, we brought back Darius to talk about a woman who's literally allergic to intimacy and how we'd navigate that situation. 

In the second half of Delvan's episode we talk about who people move on after a breakup, particularly when it comes to sex. How much is too much, what are the motivations behind it, and how much growth or self reflection should you be doing? Being aware of these questions is a great place to start but you might still have a long way to go. 

Join us and Delvan once again in part one of this week as we take on another case where something actually happened that nobody ever expects, someone happened to meet the person they masturbate too. Except this time the person seemed to get a serious shock to the system. A lot of what's going on here is messed up but it seems like someone is genuinely trying to become a better person so there is that.

We are bringing back an old friend who has been away for some time to give us some first hand advice. Erik is no stranger to receiving skepticism when sharing his plans or dreams. Today we look at deciding when something is to far out there. How, when, and why do you reach the point where you have to decide your goals and dreams are not achievable? Should you even do it at all? Lastly how can you avoid reaching that goal. A possible harsh dose of reality but one worth exploring for all of us.

The Whiskey Wisdom team has taken a few Ls lately so we are easing back into production and releasing episodes. Included in that mix is an overdue appearance from our friend Ari. Join us in what we think is part 2 of a previous episode. Is it wrong to sell the lunch your spouse makes you to buy lunch or is it technically ok?

On the second half of Trini and Lucy's visit we move away a bit from their roles as parent to focus more on them as individuals and "adults". How did marriage, time, or a child affect them as individuals including their goals, beliefs, and mentality? Lastly we ask them if there comes a point in life when you fully feel like an "adult". We may be legal grownups but is there something that makes it feel more real like marriage, a house, or a child? 

This is a special episode; not just because we have family on, nor because they are new guest. This is a special episode because we are talking to our "Most Adult" guest. Cousins Trini and Lucy posses the different traits that society associates with being grown up, and that we have touched on separately in previous episodes. They are married, are parents, own a house, and even have a dog! Kinda the culmination of multiple topics we have done. On their first appearance we focus on disciplining children and finding a parenting style that has evolved from that of our parents to match our younger generation.

On part 2 of Tony's visit we try to answer the post question about how to help someone who may be victim of revenge porn. The legalities and process of one thing but the fallout of relationships and emotions for someone in this situation can also be a giant hit. Trying to find the best way to inform someone about this may be just as important as telling them in the first place.

It has to happen to someone! Today's new guest, Tony, sorta has experience with it. What happens if you stumble across porn of someone you know in real life? Does it change how you view the person? Does it matter if they're attractive? Can you forget? As always we have some laughs then get serious, in part 1 of the convo we talk about the pornesque version of how this plays out, then snap to the reality of what happens in real life. In Pt.2 we will go into the darker but important/real topic: Revenge Porn.

In part 2 of our conversation with Roger we tackle a very common question. While talking about a couple we question how seriously the words of someone should be taken when they are in an altered state of mind. Should there be any weight given to them and ultimately how much or how little should it play into a relationship's future or continued existence. 

We have a new guest today: Roger! He's an old friend from college with much to contribute on today's topics. Up first on part 1 is a discussion on how friends can unexpectedly be too encouraging. While we all want our friends to have our backs sometimes its necessary for them to hold you back or give you the honest truth.

In the second part of our episode with Melisa and Urania, we talk about how jealousy and shame plays a role in our relationships-- and if they need to be there. We also talk about if polyamorous men are pressured into monogamous relationships due to societal norms? This is a good one to listen to.

In part one of this episode, we talk with Melisa and Urania about the importance of acknowledging your partners love languages in a relationship. We also talk about how/if poly relationships differ from monogamous ones. 

In the second part of this Whiskey Wisdom first we continue our talk with Bobby and Gina; a married couple all too familiar with today's topic. The question is: "How Do I Get my Friend to Stop Bothering me About Kids?". Today's couple pushes back against societies expectations and shares both how they had the conversation on the topic, one many people may be ignoring until it is too late. Those of us who do want keeps even answer the question, "How do you know you do want kids?" a question that is just as fair as the opposite and hardly ever answered.

A married couple on Whiskey Wisdom?! While a new guest or two guests on at once isn't uncommon we have never had this! Bobby joins us once again, this time along with his wife Gina who is also a friend of Shaq. Nahum couldn't believe he had married friends. Given the unique opportunity we discuss the old saying "There is someone out there for everyone". This is part one of our talk with them part 2 includes the topic: "People Keep Bothering Me about  Having Kids"

Longtime guests Lexi & Leon are back one again, this time discuss a bad hookup experience where $1200 Gucci boots were destroyed by an animal. We also talk about our confidence wearing clothes, and how good we are at lying to our friends. This one is perfect to listen to during a quick run to the store.

In the latter half of Sophie's episode, we talk about how we would discipline and raise our children. We begin with a question about a kid whose doing hunger strikes for fast food, and it evolves into how we discipline ourselves as well. It's a longer one, but well worth the listen. 

We continue to bring new talent to the show, this week we're joined by our friend and local-renowned resident psychologist, Sophie. Listen in horror and intrigue as our advice destroys yet another family's chances at resolution-- or maybe our advice saves them.  Join us as we discuss the proper ways to approach your defiant, selfish spouse & survive on coffee when you have no money.

Appearing for the first time on this episode we have long time friend Anu. We pick his brain for both his thoughts and expertise as we talk about recreational drug use again. In today's question a couple argues about drugs being just as dangerous as some hobbies, like cave diving for example. Hear what we think along with what drugs we have used, which we are curious about, how we decide if we use drugs and what are experience is with other when either they or us are on drugs.

For the second half of Melina's episode we talk about family and Relationships. We start with a question about visiting parents as and adult. The deeper part though comes when we take a look and how often, how, and how much time we spend time with our family. In a conversation that evolved multiple times throughout we discuss relationships with parents, our future thoughts on parenthood, and our relationships with our siblings. Melina was a guest on one of our best performing episodes "Who Pays for the Date". This time she joins us for the interesting topic about romantic partners who watch porn. Should you be bothered if your partner watches porn? Do you even know if they do? Do you? Do you agree with those who think its cheating? This is a very fun and still important question to get us started before part two's more expansive talk.

"Didn't they already talk about dating apps?" Yes, yes we did but two points: 1. Covid. 2. Some of y'all still on them. Today's topic is "Addicted to Dating Apps due to Loneliness". You know we aren't totally against them but their are drawbacks and today we go deep again to explore another, particularly in the time of Covid. Join us and returning guest Jakub as we try to get sponsorships and differentiate between sauce and juice. 

Should you marry someone with debt? Should you walk around your house naked? Should you masturbate to pictures of your partner's cousins? These are all easy questions for all of us to answer right? Right? Join us and this week's returning guest E.A. to see what others thought and what paths these questions took us down.

Sorry forgot the intro, but Abdi joins us again about a very different issue. This is maybe the most professionally informed opinion. We are talking about single parenting, child growth, and deciding to have a child even if you are single. Have you heard the phrase, "If by the time I'm still XX old..."? We have too and we are trying to figure out the right way to approach it. Oh and to lighten the episode we also cover phone privacy and sex tapes.

Physical and emotional connections bring us together in relationships. This couple may not have either of those things because it seems they are each only leaning one way. With the help of Kyle we answer a woman's question to see if we can help people understand each other better and figure improve their relationships. Ultimately if a couple just isn't on the same wavelength there will be friction and we need to talk about how we may be able to get both people to the middle. 

Life after graduation can sometimes be confusing and unpredictable, and that was all before a pandemic took hold of the world. In this episode we are joined by an old friend and guest Erik as we discuss the pros and cons of going to college and how that reflects on your resume. As friends who all met at college we can all now think that the answer is not as clear as we thought it was when we first went. 

Are you the partner or immature adult? Regardless, the experience of dating someone irresponsible is familiar to many. Ari joins the talk again on the situation of dating “manchild”. Why do these relationships happenl, why they are fun to start, what qualifies someone as an “adultchild”, mostly men. All before trying to figure out how and if we should try and fix these relationships. For our age group we can only hope this is happening to you less and less but for now we’re probably in the thick of it.

Nahum's friend Lauren joins us for an absurd question and one of our most important. We discuss a couple with trouble; centered around a partner squatting over a toilet to use it. Turning to serious topics we have a question where is someone dealing with a difficult situation at home, having little support from those around them, and trying to find motivation to move forward. Its a situation we can all find ourselves in to some extent making it beneficial to us or others to learn a thing or two from. 

This is part 2 of our recording with Melisa, as we once again cover relationships, honesty, and sexuality. It can be a tough situation when a relationship reaches a point sooner than expected. On this week's episode a couple struggles with with learning new things about each other. The revelation's sexual nature makes things much more difficult but highlights the need to try and be more honest with our partners, something we will get into too.

This week we are joined by returning guest Melisa as we discuss a strange and wide topic. What do you do when your partner's ex is staying over at your shared place. What do you do when your partner's ex is sleeping in the same bed as you and your partner. Truthfully this whole situation is a mess that gets us talking about, communication, open relationships, polyamory, and self-confidence. This weeks topic is a giant mess but it sure is entertaining!

Our first episode since quarantine arrives with a new format to keep us going. We are discussing a question found online, "At the age of 25, should I pay to lose my virginity?" Addressing this question brought up sex work, self confidence, relationships, lifestyles, and saltine crackers.  We try to give some advice and have one of the most honest conversations you have ever heard.

This was suppose to release in the second half of a week back in March. Somewhere in that time though the world stopped spinning. Think of something other than the virus and listen to a conversation about looks and money; and how much we each want of both! In an unexpected twist we again have two guests this episode, and they're a couple! Jakub once again joins us, this time accompanied by Jade. In all honesty we were struggling to find so light hearted topics so we thought we would put the couple through the ringer. This episode for the first time we have a guest we don't have a close relationship with. Melina went to high school with Nahum and in addition to having her career, she has a blog that we really appreciated. Given her honesty and willingness to share, we wanted her opinion on a range of topics starting with:  Picking a fast food place to eat for the rest of your life. What store defines you? We're doing something new! In order to make things easier we will be splitting our episodes over the next couple of weeks. We ended up expanding so much on our first proposed topic it became our deeper question as well. For Nahum starting tasks is hard, for Shaq is easy. For Nahum continuing a task is obvious, for Shaq continuing is the real challenge. How do these differences affect and apply throughout our lives.

We are making things easier for you! We know we can go long so we are testing something new; over the next couple weeks we will divide our episodes into two parts our lighter and heavier topics. This is part 1 of our first episode with Marcus(Gramps). We catch, talk about the firefighter academy, the relationship between sex and the gym and eventually our fist question. What is the most peaceful, stressful, and enjoyable part of our days and why? The question becomes our deeper topic so listen to part two for the rest!
