Sam is joined by Sha Racks and John Scarborough for an episode that quickly descends into chaos, led by the infamous Forbidden Serving story—a well-intentioned act of “helping” that becomes deeply uncomfortable for everyone watching and perfectly sets the tone for the episode. From summer camps gone horribly wrong and youth group games that should've been stopped immediately, to moments where leaders say the absolute worst possible thing at the worst possible time, this episode is packed with stories that live in the gray area between good intentions and terrible outcomes. Add in public embarrassments, injuries that escalated fast, and situations where no one quite knew how to intervene until it was far too late, and you get an episode that proves youth group logic makes sense to absolutely no one once you say it out loud.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Hit-Boy is an award-winning producer and rapper from LA. He's one of my all-time favorite producers, from “Backseat Freestyle” by Kendrick Lamar, to “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott, to tracks he's made for Beyonce, Nas, and the Jay-Z & Kanye album Watch the Throne. So I was really excited to talk to him, and when I asked him which song from his incredible catalog he wanted to talk about, I was really moved by his choice. He picked “Racks in the Middle” by Nipsey Hussle, featuring Roddy Ricch. Nipsey Hussle was a rapper and community activist from LA whose career was cut short, tragically, when he was murdered in 2019. He'd released just one album, Victory Lap. “Racks in the Middle” was the last song released in Nipsey's lifetime. It went platinum, and a year after his death, it won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance, in 2020. This episode features a few short clips from a video that Nipsey Hussle made for the website Genius, back in 2019. There's a link to the full video that he made in the shownotes. But here in the studio, to tell the story, I spoke to Hit-Boy about how “Racks in the Middle” came together. To learn more, visit songexploder.net/hit-boy.

This week on Youth Group Chronicles, Sam is joined by Sha Racks and John Scarborough for an episode built around one painfully awkward youth group moment that spirals way faster than anyone expects, all sparked by a harmless comment about mismatched socks that goes very, very wrong. From there, the stories only escalate—camp chaos fueled by a misunderstood bottle of “relieving powder,” pranks that cross every possible line, games that reveal way too much about a student's imagination, well-meaning leaders accidentally shouting the wrong acronym across campus, and multiple moments that end in emergency rooms instead of evening devotions. It's a mix of secondhand embarrassment, bad decisions, and youth ministry trauma that proves once again that no matter how innocent it starts, youth group always finds a way to take a turn…See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Laura L. Mayfield, Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager on the Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc. Securitized Products desk joins Managing Editor Paul Greaves and Journalist Kunal Kamal to discuss ABS stress and municipal revenues. In this episode, we delve into whether asset-backed securities (ABS) offer an early warning system for shifts in the broader economy. We examine emerging stress signals across consumer securitizations, dig into the rapid rise of data center ABS and assess the material risks tied to power constraints, leverage, and AI-driven capital demands. We also explore what all of this means for municipalities that depend on various taxes, utility revenues and economic development incentives tied to these sectors and whether local governments are prepared for the opportunities and vulnerabilities ahead.
This week on Youth Group Chronicles, Sam is joined by Sha Racks and John Scarborough for an episode packed with stories that spiral fast and never quite recover. From a late-night drive in a church van that turns into an unforgettable moral dilemma, to youth group trips that make the news for all the wrong reasons, to public moments so uncomfortable they permanently alter walking routes, this episode is a steady descent into chaos. Add in festival security gone wrong, devotion times that take a hard left, camp rules that fail spectacularly, and one Easter service no one will ever forget, and you've got an hour of stories that feel illegal to admit out loud—but somehow still happened…See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In this episode of the Data Center Frontier Show, DCF Editor in Chief Matt Vincent speaks with Uptime Institute research analyst Max Smolaks about the infrastructure forces reshaping AI data centers from power and racks to cooling, economics, and the question of whether the boom is sustainable. Smolaks unpacks a surprising on-ramp to today's AI buildout: former cryptocurrency mining operators that “discovered” underutilized pockets of power in nontraditional locations—and are now pivoting into AI campuses as GPU demand strains conventional markets. The conversation then turns to what OCP 2025 revealed about rack-scale AI: heavier, taller, more specialized racks; disaggregated “compute/power/network” rack groupings; and a white space that increasingly looks purpose-built for extreme density. From there, Vincent and Smolaks explore why liquid cooling is both inevitable and still resisted by many operators—along with the software, digital twins, CFD modeling, and new commissioning approaches emerging to manage the added complexity. On the power side, they discuss the industry's growing alignment around 800V DC distribution and what it signals about Nvidia's outsized influence on next-gen data center design. Finally, the conversation widens into load volatility and the economics of AI infrastructure: why “spiky” AI power profiles are driving changes in UPS systems and rack-level smoothing, and why long-term growth may hinge less on demand (which remains strong) than on whether AI profits broaden beyond a few major buyers—especially as GPU hardware depreciates far faster than the long-lived fiber built during past tech booms. A sharp, grounded look at the AI factory era—and the engineering and business realities behind the headlines.

2B Bolder Podcast : Career Insights for the Next Generation of Women in Business & Tech
What if the straightest line to a bigger career is choosing the uncomfortable zones? On episode #141, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Tracy Nolan, Fortune 100 executive, transformation leader, and champion of women in leadership, to unpack the choices and mindsets that turned discomfort into momentum. From retail floors to the front lines of telecom, from global negotiations to a mission-driven role in healthcare, Tracy shows how to trust your instincts, claim your seat, and bring others with you.We dig into the moment a sponsor pushed her into a stretch role and why that single act of belief changed her trajectory. Tracy breaks down the difference between mentorship and sponsorship (and how to be a great mentee), shares a simple mental model for speaking up in intimidating rooms, and explains how demanding goals can coexist with deep empathy and active listening. Her stories, like giving a CEO-ready plan just ten days into a new job, reveal how confidence is built: not by waiting to be “A+ ready,” but by acting, learning, and iterating.Tracy also opens up about why healthcare fits her purpose, the women-first culture she's found at Humana, and the platform she's building, Lift as They Climb, to make sponsorship among women the norm, not the exception. We talk board pathways, continuous learning, and the skill set that will outlast every tool in an AI-driven economy: leading people through change with clarity, process, and heart. If boldness has been on your list, consider this your nudge. In today's episode, we cover Fed Holds Rates Steady While Economy Softens The Federal Reserve declines to cut interest rates despite signs of economic slowing and contained inflation. Two Fed governors dissent, a rare move that highlights internal disagreement. Bryan explains why many see this as a political misstep and calls for revisiting the Fed's structure altogether. Good News on GDP and Grocery Prices The economy grew at 3 percent in Q2, partly due to consumers racing to buy before expected tariff hikes. Meanwhile, exemptions for cocoa, coffee, and orange juice under new U.S. tariff rules are welcome news for households and major exporters like Brazil and Vietnam. Trump's Crackdown Reshapes Higher Ed Brown University gives in to Trump's demands to fix DEI policies and receives restored federal funds. Harvard faces investigations and fines over employment practices. Duke, Columbia, Cornell, and others are all in the spotlight as the White House uses financial leverage to reform campus culture. 2026 and 2028 Election Maps Could Be Redrawn Texas and Florida prepare new congressional maps that could flip up to 10 House seats to Republicans. Democrats plot resistance, but a proposed early census counting only U.S. citizens could shift even more seats and electoral votes away from Democrat strongholds. Listener Questions: Burn Bags and Brennan's Claims Bryan answers a question about FBI burn bags and whether they signal cover-ups. He also dissects a new op-ed by former Obama officials John Brennan and James Clapper, breaking down why their defense of the Trump-Russia investigation falls apart under scrutiny. In a scathing attack on Fed Chair Jay Powell, Bessent says "complete panic" is not a strategy. Wow. If you can believe it, our KKHI scoreboard shows Trump had SEVEN wins on Tuesday, wait until you hear all these. In sports, everyone thought Salvy had a three run homer in KC's win over Seattle Tuesday. Wait until you hear about a bone headed play by a centerfielder that fooled everyone. Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe is taking money away from World Cup KC.... good move. Big Ben Roethlisberger slams Patrick Mahomes. A Diamondbacks fan is booted for the season and a country music star cuts off an interview when they ask him about his wife and other men.

On this episode of Youth Group Chronicles, Sam is joined by Cole Clark and Sha Racks for a wild ride through some of the most uncomfortable, chaotic, and downright bizarre moments in youth ministry. From a disturbing snack suggestion at a girls' life group to a bathroom mix-up that left a leader hiding in shame, these stories don't hold back. Whether it's a group's questionable attempt at jellyfish first aid, a forgotten youth pastor lost in the mountains, or a deeply unfortunate choice of toothbrush water, you'll be cringing, laughing, and questioning everything. But nothing tops the tale of a youth group bonding experience that involved… forbidden ice cream.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
