THIS WEEK'S MESSAGE: Today's Fireside Friday dances with the idea that we are always keeping company internally AND externally. It's challenging us to take stock of the stories that we're allowing ourselves to tell AND the remarks, experiences and relationships that we're marking our lives with. Are we feeling expanded by being with ourselves? Are we feeling encouraged by those we spend time with? Leading at the level of our soul asks us to begin by facing inward and really examining how the company we're keeping is either fostering our flame or snuffing out our light! THIS WEEK'S MESSAGE: Today you'll hear me explore what it means to become an authentic leader... you're going to have to do it awkward. Yep, it's awkward before it's elegant. I am seeking to learn how to embrace more of that process and lean INTO the awkward instead of wish it way or want it to be different. The "shoulds" around it being different are usually things we learned from the world around us... always wanting to present something finished/polished/perfected, but the real secret I'm seeking to embrace is that the awkward part is actually just LIFE. Can you embrace more of your awkward? Maybe we can do it together! If we want to love and lead at the level of our soul, that means that we have to create time and space to give her what she needs. AND the only way we know what she needs? Learning to listen to her instruction. Advocating that we actually have time and space TO listen... Choosing to take time, space and effort in tending ourselves IS loving others well. Come quickly to help me, my Lord and my Savior." In his desperation, David calls upon the Lord, knowing that only God can rescue him from his suffering. His plea for help reflects his unwavering trust in God's faithfulness and mercy. As we conclude this tender journey through Psalm 38, may these whispered words resonate within our hearts.
