IRD was effectively the warehouse floor for all metal indies in the 1980's, and Roadrunner was no exception. Alan talks me through IRD's beginnings as an indie label distributor and all the way through the company's relationship with Roadrunner Records.

When you go to art school, they provide you with projects, assignments, deadlines, and a schedule. They provide you with structure. In this episode we talk about how to create structure for yourself when you’re learning from home. Marshall gives his perspective from being a classroom teacher and how it can be applied to online education, while Stan explains how you can’t rely on discipline when forming new habits. Based on psychology, there are more effective ways to form new habits as you’re trying to set up your own structure. Stan also shares how he created projects for himself that got him excited to learn the technical skills. Ninguém gosta de mim.- Mas ninguém?! Quem são as pessoas que você convive? Será que ninguém mesmo, gosta de você?- Não... o mundo todo me odeia...- Mas... cara, o mundo todo é muita gente... existem 8 bilhões de pessoas no mundo, será que todas elas te odeiam assim?E começou a jogar esses questionamentos para essas pessoas e elas viram: ‘’Não... mas pensando bem, minha mãe gosta de mim.’’, então já não é o mundo todo... olha só, alguém gosta de você.Então, ele começou a perceber que a forma que essas pessoas viam o mundo tinham erros cognitivos. Começou a ver que as estruturas de pensamento dessas pessoas que geravam esses sentimentos ruins.
