Welcome to Day 2721 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom – Theology Thursday – “Ruling Over Angels” – Supernatural Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2721 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2721 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Today, we continue with the 16th  and final segment of this series of Theology Thursday lessons. Next week we will begin a new series. Today, I am reading the final chapter of the book "Supernatural," written by Hebrew Bible scholar, professor, and mentor Dr. Michael S. Heiser, who has since passed away. Supernatural is a condensed version of his comprehensive book, ‘The Unseen Realm.' If these readings pique your interest, I would recommend that you read ‘The Unseen Realm.' Today, we will read through chapter sixteenth: “Ruling over Angels” It's crucial to our faith that we understand who we are as Christians. We are the sons and daughters of God, a re-fashioned divine council that already participates in our Father's kingdom. But there's more to it than that. Yes, we are God's family council—but to what end? While we are already in the kingdom (Colosians 1:13), we have not yet seen the full unveiling of that kingdom—we have not seen the world become Eden. This “already, but not yet” paradox runs throughout the Bible in many ways. In this chapter, I want to give you a glimpse of the “not yet” that answers the question “To what end?” Let's look at our Kingdom Participation Now Our participation in God's kingdom isn't predetermined, in this sense: We are not mere robots performing functions programmed for us. That violates the whole idea of being God's imager, his representative. We were created to be like him. He is free. If we do not have genuine freedom, we cannot be like him—by definition, we would not be like him. We are free to obey and worship, or rebel and indulge ourselves. And we will reap what we sow. Our sowing is not programmed. But God is greater than we are. He had a plan and it will come to pass. Its success neither depends on nor is forced to adapt to human freedom. We cannot undermine it—nor can the divine beings who are also free to choose. Think about the heavenly council meeting I showed you in chapter 1. I asked whether you believed the things the Bible says, and then took you to a meeting of God and his heavenly council in First Kings 22. God had decreed (and so it must happen) that it was time for wicked Ahab to die. But God then let the spirit beings in his council decide how to accomplish that (First Kings 22, verses 19–23). Predestination and freedom work hand-in-hand in God's kingdom rule. His purposes will never be overturned or halted. He is able to take sin and rebellion and still accomplish—through other free representatives—what he desires. As C. S. Lewis once said of God (in the book Perelandra), “Whatever you do, He will make good of it. But not the good He had...

Welcome to week #8 of Becoming the Bride Series.   Psalms 1:3 says, “You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun. No matter what you do, you prosper.”   The command to be fruitful and multiply starts in the book of Genesis and extends all the way through to the end in the book of Revelation. At first it was a spiritual blessing given to Adam and Eve in the Garden then it was made into a covenant and a command when Christ commissioned His church.    We are to bear good fruit as we stay connected to the vine, but we are also told to multiple and make disciples.     “… so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work,” … Colosians 1:10   At the end of each episode, I will have an activation exercise that will help us activate each week's topic.   If you have missed any episodes, including the summer series titled: Equipping the Bride Series I invite you to go back and take a listen.

Pastor Thomas explores Colossians 3, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a heart of thankfulness. By setting our minds on eternal truths, putting to death earthly desires, and clothing ourselves with Christ-like virtues, we can develop gratitude. Forgiveness, love, and singing praises are practical ways to maintain thankfulness. Remembering God's provision helps us stay humble and grateful, extending thankfulness beyond Thanksgiving into our daily lives. Summary:Christ's many membered body today must put on the full armor of God to withstand all the tactics of the enemy. Each part of His body may supply a different aspect of this armor and be a unique expression in His body. God has put together the body so that there should be no division in the body, but that each part should have an equal honor and expression to help complete the full manifestation of His body today. Show Notes:We must change our thinking from being individuals to a part of His body. Each person may have a different expression and supply a unique thing to the whole of His body.As individuals we can accomplish very little, but as a part of His body we are unlimited.God did not make us to be all sufficient in ourselves. We are a part of His body and as every member comes together and supplies what it is suppose to supply the body begins to function. Quotes:each joint supplies or could supply a specific attribute, or a specific manifestation of that armor.maybe you're just a part of the armor of God, and you're not sufficient in yourself to have the whole armor of God because God doesn't want you sufficient in yourself. He wants you part of the body of Christ.Individually, we can do very little, but together. We can accomplish the will of God together because every joint provides or supplies or is a part of the answer....if you're not prepared, and that's what's been wrong with people that are absolutely just spectators. And not participants that did not work and will not work. God will have a body that is functioning.I'm not the whole thing and I don't have to be the whole thing and God didn't make me to be the whole thing, but He made me to be a part of this armor, a part of the attributes of Christ.I think we're talking about one of the most important parts of our functioning together; is the revelation of the Christ within us; in each individual part, participating. functioning together, and being a provision for each other. What is the body of Christ? We're all connected in to the head and out of that the body function each individual part ministers what they have that they've received from the Lord for each other. We are completed by each other. References:I Corinthians 12:21-27(The many membered body of Christ)Ephesians 4:16from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.Thessloinians 5:23-28(Made wholly and complete)Colosians 2:10( Complete in Christ) Take Away:In this day when Satan is raging against God's body, we must learn to put on the whole armor of God. As Christ body matures and every joint supplies it's unique expression, we find that we are each other's covering within this armor and we become invincible through that which each joint supplies.

Summary:We are born from above, born as a spiritual child with the seed of our Father's nature within us. As we grow day by day, this Christ nature within us begins to grow and mature as a living hope is turned into belief and we go on from glory to glory by His Spirit within us. Show Notes:As we are born again, (born from above) we have implanted within us a piece of our Father's DNA.As the spiritual child grows and matures, the true nature that was implanted at his birth comes forth.Hope turns into a realized belief as this child walks out the nature within. The simplicity of a little child that just believes is a the root of the spiritual implant given by the Father. The unfolding of this “born from above” experience is the unfolding revelation that we were foreknown before the foundations of the world. That child like nature that can lead can always be without the encumbrance if having grown up. This little child in me, is capable of leading an army. Quotes:What the scriptures is trying to say is, you're born from above. You are, as a child, you have a Lineage and inheritance that comes from above…As that thing that is born from above matures, what causes it to mature? Hope is turned into belief. And that's how we grow.God implanted Himself within us. Just like He put His Son in Mary. He put His son in us. He's the firstborn of many brethren. His parousia is Him being formed within us....the little child in us, is that simplicity of just believing, of just laying hold of the Lord, and laying hold of the Word. It's a piece of immortality that exists within us that when we're born again, it really is being born again, back into the memory of that, back into identifying with that divine DNA that exists within us.The Word is uncovering whats already there. It's like peeling an onion. When you get down to the center you find out what is really there. So maybe we're talking about the predestination that is mentioned in Romans 8? Predestined to be sons. References:John 3:3Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone may not be born from above, he is not able to see the Kingdom of God”;John 3:7(The Truth)I John 5:18(Born from above)Isiaha 61:1(Christ set free in our brother)Colosians 1:27...of whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.Romans 8:29For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;I Peter 1:23...for you have been born again [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God.Take Away:We are born from above and have that Godly DNA with in us. Inside of you there is something that is growing and is what God feed within us. Our Father foreknew us before the foundations of the world and now as that spiritual child grows and matures within us, we too are beginning to realize who we are in Him and walk out our eternal destiny.

Today's topic has caused considerable disagreement in conservative Bible-believing churches, and essentially the church remains divided on the issue. The debate is whether or not your salvation can be lost. Are you “once saved, always saved?” Or are you able to become saved, yet later in life denounce your salvation and lose it? It would seem that by turning to scripture we could determine what God really says and end the debate.  The irony, in this case, is that diligent study by prominent theologians throughout the ages has found enough verses in scripture to support EITHER view! Today we will look at what the bible says and what we have come to believe on the issue, and why.   Scriptures Today: Jude 1:5-6 // Romans 11:17-21 // Hebrews 6:4-6, 10:26 // Revelation 2:10 // James 5:19-20, 2:14-26 // Colosians 1:21-23 // Matthew 10:22, 6:14-15, 21:18-19 //  1 Timothy 4:1-4 // John 10:26-29 // Psalm 103:8 // Luke 15:3-7 // We're so glad you joined us for this powerful message! As a high school teacher at a private Christian academy for almost 20 years, Luanne found herself in a unique role, guiding hundreds of young people through God's Word with her uncompromising, take-no-prisoners way of speaking the truth while still showing them unconditional love. Her passion was igniting them to live their lives with a higher standard than the culture around them. From these years of ministry and the heartache experienced by her students in their teen years, Luanne authored two books to equip young people with the truth, Young Hearts. Pure Lives (for girls),and The Warrior Within (for guys). Her newest release, Spiritual Warfare and the Armor of God, is available now.   SCRIPTURES: (NIV unless noted) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. Acts 2: 42-47 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:17-20 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colosians 3:16-17 Today is sunday; I hope you will go to church or at least stop to acknowledge God and consider His creation. I hope you will show up with something to cheer, encourage, bless, lift someone. Pray for the world you live in; ask that God's kingdom come and His will be done in your life and others around you. Let God speak to your heart, let Him fix your concern, learn some more about him and let Him equip you to take your place in His kingdom. Let Him send you to the world. The world we live in right now needs a saviour, be His agent, be eyes to the blind, feet to the lame, feed the hungry and clothe the naked. Bind the broken and help the helpless.
