In a world where many claim that all religions ultimately lead to the same God, this message examines the claims, teachings, and foundations of Christianity and Islam through the lives of Jesus and Muhammad. Looking at Scripture, history, and the central message of each faith, we explore the critical question every person must answer: Who is Jesus? Join us as we consider two men, two messages, two destinies, and the one decision that impacts eternity. Modern Christianity doesn't usually reject God — it often reshapes Him. In this opening week of Golden Calves, we look at Israel's worship of the golden calf and ask a hard question: have we done the same? When worship becomes centered on our feelings, experiences, and spiritual highs, we can mistake emotional atmosphere for genuine surrender. This message challenges us to move beyond chasing encounters with God and toward the long, hidden, ordinary path of obedience that actually forms us into Christ's image.Scripture:Exodus 24:1-3Exodus 32:1-35Amos 5:18-27Matthew 6:5-13Matthew 5:23-24Resources:FaceBook- FCC Young AdultsInstagram- @fccyaEmail- fccyadmin@fccsantamaria.orgWebsite- fccsantamaria.org
by Bp John Roundhill | Matthew 28: 16-20 & 2 Corinthians 13: 11-13Matthew 28: 16-20 & 2 Corinthians 13: 11-13 (NIV)God is not like us. Yes, we're made in his image, but God is unique. As Karl Barth said, "One cannot speak of God simply by speaking of man in a loud voice." The Christian understanding of God is an eternal relationship between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That's not easy to wrap our heads around, but why would we expect an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and eternal God to be easy to understand!

Jesus didn't call people to casually admire Him. He called them to follow Him. In this message through Luke 9, Pastor Alan McBrayer walks through three different responses people had to Jesus: the committed, the curious, and those still considering Him. Through the disciples, Herod, and the feeding of the 5,000, we see what it truly means to know Jesus deeply, trust Him fully, and follow Him faithfully. This message challenges us to define our relationship with Jesus honestly. Are we fully committed, simply curious, or still deciding what we believe? Following Jesus requires tested faith, authentic pursuit, and a willingness to minister to others even when it costs us something.• Following Jesus well starts with truly knowing Him, not just knowing about Him• Jesus uses seasons of testing to teach us complete dependence on Him• Real faith moves from curiosity to commitment and responsibilityKey Scriptures:Luke 9:1-17Jeremiah 29:13Matthew 10:1-14John 6Wherever you are in your relationship with Jesus, take the next step toward Him today. Ask God to move you from curiosity to commitment and from comfort to trust. Discover how to face trials, misfortune, and adversity with faith, perseverance, and hope as God works all things for your good. Many think that suffering is God's punishment, but Scripture reveals that much of what we endure comes from the enemy or natural consequences of our choices. By understanding this, we can respond with faith and courage rather than fear or despair. This teaching equips you to navigate challenges, maintain spiritual strength, and grow in perseverance, character, and hope (James 1:2; Romans 5:3-5).Through practical guidance on spiritual victory, this sermon shows how trials refine our faith and build resilience. Believers are reminded that Christ faced misfortune at the hands of the enemy yet overcame, demonstrating that through God, we can triumph over sickness, persecution, and adversity. Misfortune is an opportunity to strengthen faith, trust God's plan, and grow closer to Him. By claiming His promises, you can walk boldly in healing, protection, and provision (Philippians 4:13; Matthew 8:16-17).The sermon also teaches the law of sowing and reaping, emphasizing that while misfortune may sometimes result from our own decisions, God works in every circumstance to bring about His purposes. We are called to rejoice in our own trials, help others in their struggles, and avoid gloating over someone else's misfortune (Proverbs 24:17-18; Proverbs 17:5). By lifting others up and showing mercy, we reflect God's heart and advance His kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.Ultimately, this message inspires believers to maintain hope, persevere in the face of adversity, and respond to life's challenges with faith, courage, and joy. By understanding misfortune, embracing spiritual growth, and standing firm in God's promises, we can turn trials into opportunities for victory, character development, and eternal hope. The teaching reminds viewers that through Christ, every trial can strengthen our faith, build endurance, and lead to a life marked by spiritual maturity and blessing (Romans 8:28; John 15:18-19).Referenced VersesJames 1:2Romans 5:3-5Romans 8:28Philippians 4:13Matthew 8:16-17John 15:18-19Proverbs 24:17-18Proverbs 17:5-Social Media Ministries, founded by Spencer Coffman, is committed to sharing the Word of God with the entire world. Forgiveness isn’t optional—it’s commanded. But it’s also one of the hardest things we’re called to do.In this episode of Take Heart, Cory Wing walks through what biblical forgiveness really is—and what it isn’t.It’s not denial. It’s not forgetting. And it’s not the same as trust. So what is it?It’s releasing the debt. Letting go of vengeance. And trusting God with justice. If you’re holding onto bitterness, pain, or resentment, this episode will challenge you—but also show you the freedom that comes through forgiveness.

WISDOM IN THE WAITING- MATTHEW 25:1-13Matthew 25:1–13 “Then the kingdom of heaven will be like tenvirgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. 6 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.' 7 Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And thefoolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.' 10 And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.' 12 But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.' 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour. THE WEDDING Matthew 25:1 “Then the kingdom of heaven may be compared to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.” THE WARNING Matthew 25:13“Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know the day nor the hour.” THE WISDOM Do NOT assume that... 1. You have time.2. You can save others, or others can save you.3. You know Christ if He doesn't know you.

In this episode, we'll challenge the cultural confusion surrounding judgment. Judgment isn't inherently wrong. In fact, we make over 35,000 judgments a day! The key difference is whether we're judging to condemn or judging to restore. In this episode we'll confront our addiction to activity and ask a hard question—Are we truly productive or just distracted? We'll explore how even good intentions can become spiritual roadblocks when we choose busyness over what Jesus calls “better.” From social media scrolling and constant multitasking to the pressures of family, work, and expectations, this episode will unpack how Jesus modeled stillness, prayer, and purposeful action—even in chaos. If you're feeling drained, always tired, or struggling to prioritize God in a full schedule, it might be time to check if you're worshiping the idol of bustling.Luke 10:38-42Mark 1:35Luke 6:12,13Matthew 11:28Matthew 14:23John 11:17-27You can now also WATCH C.L.! In this episode, Pastor Wit and I tackle one of my most requested topics: How to approach issues like childbearing, birth control, infertility, IVF, and so much more from a biblical perspective. Our goal is to equip, encourage, and exhort fellow believers to think about each of these topics from a place of prioritizing God's Word, rather than cultural influences or man's wisdom. We pray this episode is a useful tool to every Christian who finds him/herself grappling with how to approach fertility with integrity and righteousness.Sponsor Info:Voetberg Music AcademyCheck Out Voetberg Music Academy HereCode: misformama20Mentions:Podcast Episode with Really Very CrunchyBible References:Genesis 1:25-8Psalm 127:3Genesis 9Genesis 11Malachi 2:13-15Matthew 19:6Genesis 4:1-16Matthew 28:16-201 Timothy 5:9Titus 2Ephesians 4:29John 14:152 Peter 1:3Exodus 20:13Matthew 22:39Leviticus 17:11-12Psalm 139Links:The Gentleness ChallengePenny Reward SystemPaint & ProseM Is for MamaPenny Reward System
Tap here to send us a message!Peter prayed two unforgettable prayers—one in shame, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man,” and one in desperation, crying out, “Lord, save me!” In the first, he believed he was too far gone; in the second, he discovered the only one who could reach him. At the heart of every need, failure, or storm is the same answer: Jesus, save me!04/06/2025 - Sunday AfternoonScriptures:Luke 5:3-8Matthew 14:29-32Matthew 16:26Psalm 107:13Matthew 6:7-8Luke 5:5-8Romans 3:23
